We will show you some unwanted history as Essex were bowled out for

20 in the County Championship. Now, To take us through the cinema

releases, we have Anna Smith. What have we got? We have Summer in

February, a period drama, a true story set in Cornwall in 1913. This

features Dan Stevens. Then Man of Steel. The Superman epic. And this

features Henry Cavill. And then we are looking at Stuck in Love, which

is an American-Indie comedy drama. Summer in February? This is a nice

gentle - it is set on the Cornish coast. Some great actors in this -

Dominic Cooper, Dan Stevens, Dominic Cooper. We are going to have a clip

now. Florence, my God! What are you doing here? They said you would be

here. This is my sister, Florence. Is this one of your parties? That's

Alfred Munnings? Yes. This is her husband, Harold. This is Dolly. She

models for us painters. If they ask nicely! This is my dearest friend.

How do you do? How do you do?Come and get warm. We are very free down

here. You are a soldier? For some of the time. The rest of the time you

do what you like and say what you like? So... One of the reviews I

read seemed to say that while the performances are find, the script is

bland? It is. Here I am, this is what I do. It is not particularly

interesting. It should be. It is about an artist colony where they

were bed-hopping, but it gets more and more drab towards the end. There

is this love triangle. It is a very sad film. It goes from being a fun

insight into an artists' colony, to being very plodding. It is mainly a

TV director who has worked on this. I suppose Cornwall is beautiful.

Yes. There are some lovely shots of the beaches. Dominic Cooper is great

as Alfred Munnings. He is romancing Florence while Gilbert is hovering

at the sidelines. It is worth seeing if you are a period drama fan. It is

a sleepy Sunday kind of movie. matter what else you have got, if

you haven't got a decent script - let me introduce everybody so you

thickos in the audience get to know what is going on - it is irritating?

It is very much from Gilbert's point of view. He didn't know what was

going on in Florence's head. You get less involved with her story and

less sympathetic. Let's move on to Man of Steel. In 2006, they tried to

reboot the franchise, it didn't do so well. Now, Man of Steel is back

with a lot of money on-screen. We have Zack Snyder behind it. We have

got Christopher Nolan, who was behind Batman. This is

representative of the film. You have Zack Snyder and soul-searching and

serious origin stuff from Christopher Nolan. We start at the

beginning. And then we go down to earth when he is wrestling with his

demons. We have the dying planet of Krypton. Yes.We all know the story.

You have to watch the action. Is he Clark Kent, isn't he? I wish there

was that. That might come in a sequel. This is very much early

days. He is a drifter, which is quite interesting, Superman is

drifting from town to town, trying to remain anonymous. LAUGHTER I am

trying to picture that! He paints people's bathrooms? Works on oil

rigs! Amy Adams is great as Lois Lane. She is trying to track him

down. When the two meet, there is a bit of a disappointment. Not much

chemistry there. Great special effects. Accomplished in many ways.

There are some fantastic scenes. My pulse wasn't quickened as a whole.

You should be excited. I wasn't. Stuck in Love? This is an

American-Indie film. Great cast. Greg Kinnear has problems with his

children. When he bumps into his wife after three years, he realises

there are some feelings there. Let's have a look. I have been thinking a

lot about what you said. Really? Somebody else said the same thing.

Someone else asked you to stop hanging around their house at night?

About moving on with my life! was that? You know Tricia Walcott?

Yeah, I remember her. Yeah. Yeah. I always suspected you had a crush on

her. She is very pretty. She is very married! As I recall. You seeing

her? I think I'm a good way for her to kill an hour after she's dropped

her kids off at school. An hour?An hour! So she thinks she needs to

stop moping around too? Something like that. Is this supposed to be

funny? Vaguely. I think it's one of those soap operas. There's a lot of

stuff about him being a writer and he trains his children to be

writers. That is a big thrust of it. It's a kind of American-Indie movie

that has aspirations to be funnier than it is. What would be clever

would be a film about a writer who doesn't have writer's block.

Plumbers don't have plumber's block! We can't afford it! As you can see,

it is a so-so Indie fille. Jennifer Connelly, always wonderful to see

her. -- film. Your best of the week is Behind the Candelabra, which I

have not seen. Everybody I know thinks it's great. Michael Douglas

was fantastic as Liberace. It is a very funny film. It's got a

relatable relationship at the core of it. In this surreal world, they

are having a real relationship. There is something for everyone.

There's high camp and lots of glitter. Then a relationship saga.

It's premised on this great big joke that a lot of people didn't

understand at the time that Liberace was gay? Exactly. TheyYour DVD is

Zero Dark Thirty? Yes. A good chance to see it if you haven't seen it

before. This is one film you should see, the hunt for Osama Bin Laden,

by Kathryn Bigelow and Jessica Chastain. It is a gripping film.

Highly recommended. It is gripping. It becomes - it was a work in

progress because the hunt for Osama Bin Laden was going on as they were

shooting the original film? Absolutely. The torture scenes are

very difficult to watch. Some people were offended? I have seen much more

offensive things on TV in 24, that kind of thing. It was not

controversial, in my view. Kathryn Bigelow tells stories in a

straightforward kind of way. We will leave it there. Thank you. Well,
