Phew!

Hello, and welcome to my secret hideout.

I've just had a fantastic and exciting day of adventures.

I've still got loads of energy. Have you?

Right, well, what I need to do is to tire myself out before bed.

Maybe I'll run around for a bit. Ready?

Maybe I went a bit too fast. But you know, some animals

can go a lot faster than we can.

Sailfish are the fastest things in the sea.

They can swim at speeds of nearly 70 miles an hour.

That's as fast as your car on the motorway.

Their sleek shape means they can cut through the water like a knife, and

when they put up that big sail on the top,

they can jump on the brakes and turn in no time at all.

Ohhh! Well, that's a bit better.

But some super-speedy animals can use up their energy

far quicker than I can.

Cheetahs are the fastest things on the ground.

When they're running at full pace, they can go over 60 miles an hour.

You wouldn't want to race a cheetah!

They can only run that fast for short bursts, though,

before they get tired.

Harry, I'm exhausted!

I can't say I blame them. I'm getting tired just watching them!

I wonder what it's like to be them.

Meow!

Whoo! Cheetahs are super-speedy, but the real speed champion...

is up there in the sky.

It's the peregrine falcon.

They're quite fast when flying horizontally, but sometimes

they fly really high above their prey and fall out of the sky.

It's called a stoop.

They go so fast, it's thought they might reach 200 miles per hour.

But they're so quick, it's hard to measure!

Hm! That's given me a good idea. Why don't we try and make something

that can go as fast as a peregrine falcon?

A paper aeroplane!

All you need is a piece of paper like this. It can be any colour.

Fold it in half, like so...

..then open up your two halves and fold it in, like a triangle,

on one side.

And then fold the other side in, like another triangle.

Then what we want to do is we want to fold in another triangle

on one side...

and do the same on the other side.

Have you got that so far?

Now turn it over...

..and do the same on the other side...

..all the way to the crease in the middle.

Our plane is almost ready for takeoff.

There we go! Does your plane look like this?

Ready? Three, two, one, takeoff!

What was that?

Careful, mate!

Wow! What a plane!

Excuse me!

After all that fun, I've certainly used up quite a bit of energy.

I might go for a lie down.
