Our story starts with a lonely princess

in a tall tower

who dreams of meeting a brave, young prince.

I love storytelling.

And the best bit is pretending to be all the characters.

Would you like to do some play-acting with me?

We can start with the brave prince.

We might even find some moves for our dance.

Now, what sort of things does a brave prince do?

He rides a horse.

And he's very brave.

And he searches the kingdom to find a princess.

So let's turn those actions into some princely dance moves.

We can start by getting on our horse.

And then we can gallop along through the forest.

Giddy up! Giddy up!

Wey-wey!

Oh, I like that.

We could use that in our song as well.

Let's just put one arm up and wave it around

as if we're waving a flag in the air!

And then I think we need to turn in another direction

and giddy up that way as well.

So let's turn this way and then gallop along this way.

Giddy up! Giddy up!

Now there's something else that princes are.

They're very, very strong and brave.

To show that we're strong and brave,

let's put one arm up

and then the other arm up

and flex our muscles to show that we're strong and brave.

So we've got our giddy up, giddy up, giddy up galloping move,

with our flag-waving move

and then we turn in another direction

and go that way.

Giddy up! Giddy up!

And then finally we've got our strong and brave move.

But there's something missing - something that the prince does.

Let's take a closer look at our story.

Of course!

He searches for his princess.

We need a princess move in our song.

So let's take our hands and bend them round in a heart shape.

We can then put them underneath our chin

and pretend to be a lonely princess gazing out of a tall, tall tower.

Let's try again.

as if we're a princess gazing out of a tall, tall tower.

Oh, you do it better than me!

We've got all of our moves there, so let's we put them all together.

You can join in if you want.

We get onto our horse

And then we wave our flag around in the air.

Let's go this way.

We go in this direction. Giddy up, giddy up!

Then we show our strong arms and then we do a heart shape

into our princess looking out of a tall tower.

Let's try that with some music.

Our costumes come from different parts of Latvia.
