Good afternoon, Leah here with your last Newsround of the day. Coming up

:00:00.:00:08.

over the next six minutes. We meet the incredible adventurer

:00:09.:00:11.

who's taken on some of the world's toughest challenges.

:00:12.:00:16.

The cutest baby elephant you'll see all day.

:00:17.:00:20.

And who'll win the Super Bowl? Better ask a panda. This is

:00:21.:00:27.

Newsround. First - how to deal with bad

:00:28.:00:31.

behaviour in the classroom. The Government's man in charge of

:00:32.:00:34.

schools in England says teachers should get tougher, making pupils

:00:35.:00:36.

who misbehave do more old-fashioned punishments, like writing lines,

:00:37.:00:39.

cleaning classrooms and weeding the playground. But critics disagree

:00:40.:00:46.

with Michael Gove's plans - they think teachers should be able to

:00:47.:00:49.

decide for themselves how to deal with pupils. You've been on the

:00:50.:00:53.

Newsround website telling us what you think of these plans. Hayat in

:00:54.:00:58.

Cardiff says, "I think it's ok to have a punishment, but writing lines

:00:59.:01:03.

is a little bit too far." But George in Bedfordshire says, "writing lines

:01:04.:01:07.

is fine. But I think all the other ideas are really bad". And Jade in

:01:08.:01:11.

London says "doing chores is a bit like going back to the olden days".

:01:12.:01:17.

Those flood warnings from all the heavy rain and tides are still in

:01:18.:01:20.

place this afternoon. Yet more homes have flooded across the Midlands and

:01:21.:01:24.

the South West and South East of England. And the weather's created a

:01:25.:01:27.

rare tidal surge called the Severn Bore in the Severn Estuary in

:01:28.:01:30.

Gloucestershire. Dare-devil surfers and kayakers turned up to ride the

:01:31.:01:34.

waves, despite being warned of the dangers. And six fishermen had to be

:01:35.:01:39.

rescued after their boat was damaged in rough seas off the north Cornwall

:01:40.:01:44.

coast. Next - to a man who proves you

:01:45.:01:49.

really can do anything you set your mind to. James Ketchell was in a

:01:50.:01:52.

serious motorbike crash seven years ago. Doctors say he might have found

:01:53.:01:56.

it hard to walk properly again. But he's proved them wrong. He's taken

:01:57.:01:59.

part in one of the world's toughest competitions. Singlehandedly rowing

:02:00.:02:02.

across the Atlantic, climbing Mount Everest. And if that's not enough,

:02:03.:02:07.

he's just finished cycling thousands of miles around the world! Earlier I

:02:08.:02:12.

caught up with James and he told me about his first challenge - that big

:02:13.:02:18.

row. I rowed from a little island which is in the Canary Islands. I

:02:19.:02:22.

rowed to Antigua. It was the same route as Christopher Columbus used.

:02:23.:02:29.

It was a challenge. I ran out of food miles from Antigua. That proved

:02:30.:02:34.

difficult. I found what it was like to be starving. It was good

:02:35.:02:39.

character building. I got hit by waves the size of buildings. Things

:02:40.:02:44.

broke on the boat. That is what it is all about. Your next challenge

:02:45.:02:54.

was Everest? It was on May the 16th. I stood for 15 minutes on there. It

:02:55.:02:58.

was a surreal experience. My brain was not working. There was so little

:02:59.:03:05.

oxygen. There is so little altitude. It was difficult to breathe. I

:03:06.:03:11.

realised I was only half way. I had to get back down. Then you took to

:03:12.:03:19.

the roads in a cycling challenge, wearing all your kit? I only

:03:20.:03:23.

finished 24 hours ago. I travelled through 20 different countries. I

:03:24.:03:28.

spoke to young people in Scout groups and schools in almost every

:03:29.:03:32.

country. I reached out to 10,000 young people. This was after a major

:03:33.:03:36.

motorbike accident, where doctors said you may not walk? I remember it

:03:37.:03:46.

clearly. It was quite a big accident. I came off my bike at 100

:03:47.:03:55.

mph. I was in hospital for a while. It proves that if you are

:03:56.:03:58.

determined, you can reach your dreams? There is nothing you can't

:03:59.:04:05.

do, but you have to want to do it. My advise is to just do, not think.

:04:06.:04:09.

Once you take that first step, the rest is easy. Thank you very much.

:04:10.:04:16.

Head to the Newsround website to see some amazing photos from James'

:04:17.:04:18.

adventures. Think you're a Newsround super-fan? Then try our quiz all

:04:19.:04:22.

about the week's top stories. And check out the weirdest videos of the

:04:23.:04:26.

week too. Next - to what's often called the

:04:27.:04:29.

greatest show on earth! Later tonight, around a billion people

:04:30.:04:32.

round the world will tune in to watch The Super Bowl, the biggest

:04:33.:04:35.

game in American football. Tonight's big match will pit the Denver

:04:36.:04:39.

Broncos against the Seattle Seahawks but the Super Bowl is almost as much

:04:40.:04:42.

about the half time entertainment as the football. This year, Bruno Mars

:04:43.:04:47.

is perfoming, last year it was Beyonce. And watching the game

:04:48.:04:51.

certainly makes you hungry. It's thought over one billion chicken

:04:52.:04:54.

wings will be eaten in that time, as well as 48 million pizzas!

:04:55.:04:59.

So who's going to win? Tricky question. Better ask a panda! This

:05:00.:05:06.

is Luh Luh the panda at Memphis Zoo in America. He was given the choice

:05:07.:05:09.

between the two teams. Thought about it for a minute or two. And went for

:05:10.:05:13.

the Denver Broncos. He tore down the Broncos orange banner and rolled

:05:14.:05:16.

around in it, which seems pretty definite!. Make sure you're watching

:05:17.:05:19.

Newsround tomorrow morning, to see if he got it right!

:05:20.:05:22.

So from superbowl predicting Pandas - to an elephant with a new name.

:05:23.:05:26.

Yep seven weeks after being born keepers at Melbourne Zoo decided

:05:27.:05:29.

this asian baby elephant suited the name Man Jai meaning confident in

:05:30.:05:35.

Thai. Zoo keepers agreed it was a perfect fit because he's already

:05:36.:05:38.

showing signs he'll be a great leader.

:05:39.:05:42.

That's all I've got time for this Sunday afternoon. But Newsround is

:05:43.:05:46.

back bright and early in the morning - Ricky will be right here to bring

:05:47.:05:50.

you up to date with all the top stories from around the world. Have

:05:51.:05:55.

a great afternoon whatever you're doing. I'll see you soon.
