Afternoon, guys. Ayshah here with your Monday Newsround.

Coming up: We find out what may have caused a 30 foot sinkhole that

swallowed up a car. And the British ace is serving up a historic win in

the Davis Cup. But first, we're talking about the

World Cup of tennis: the Davis Cup. Last night, British fans were

celebrating a historic win as Andy Murray beat his American opponent

Sam Querrey - the first time Britain has won a tie against the USA for 78

years. Andy and the British team are now through to the quarterfinals of

the competition in Italy. But what is the Davis Cup, and why is this

win so special? Nel's been on court to find out more.

So, what is the Davis Cup? Well, unlike Wimbledon, you play for your

country. The first ever Davis Cup tournament was played between Great

Britain and America, and that was over 100 years ago. Now, 130 nations

compete, making it the world's largest annual international team

competition in sport. The best countries each year make up the

world group. The rest of the country 's move down to groups one to four,

where they stay unless they can move up or down, depending on whether

they win or lose. What has been the secret to the British team's recent

success? Four years ago, the Davis Cup team were in turmoil, but then

Leon Smith took over as the new coach. Since then, he's been

prolific, winning eight out of nine matches, bringing in 11 different

players. He has turned it around, and now Great Britain are on the

verge of big things in the Davis Cup. They could even win it. Murray

and the team face a tough task when they play Italy in April, but Murray

hasn't lost a Davis Cup matches since 2005. With this new-found

belief, who knows how far the way? Imagine waking up in the morning to

find a 30 foot hole in your front garden, and your family car gone.

Well, a family in High Wycombe in Buckinghamshire had an unbelievable

start to their day. This is what Phil and Liz Conran cup

to this. An enormous hole in their driveway. It is 30 feet deep, and at

the bottom of it is one of their cars. Experts say the reason this

happened was all the rain we have been having, which washed the earth

away from underneath the tarmac. Sinkholes like this one are rare in

this country. But we wanted to find out more about how they happen, so

here's the science behind it! This is the rainwater. It falls down

and it has a bit of acid in it as it moves through the soil. Then it hits

Rock which is like chalk or limestone, and that dissolves away.

That creates these cavities under the ground, which gets bigger and

bigger. Once they reach the surface, the whole thing collapses

in. And Professor Stewart will be

exploring underground caverns in tonight's Horizon programme, which

is all about sinkholes. It's on at 9pm, but it's repeated on Thursday

at 7pm. Sport now, and tonight sees a

star-studded night of football, as the Premier League's big spenders

Manchester City and Chelsea go head to head. Man City are the favourites

going into the match. So far, Manuel Pellegrini's team have won every

home game this season, scoring a massive 42 goals in the process. BBC

Sport's John Watson told us just how important this match is.

Huge. Everybody thinks the winners of the Premier League are going to

come out of Arsenal, Manchester City and Chelsea. The fact that

Manchester City and Chelsea are playing each other is significant.

You have Chelsea, with all of their millions, who are scoring goals for

fun. It's going to be a huge match, and may determine who wins As

The league. JK Rowling has revealed in an

interview that she's not sure she came up with the best ending for the

building in Germany get demolished? Yeah, you do. The tower was built

back in 1972 but was knocked down to make way for two new office

buildings. Around 30,000 people gathered in Frankfurt to see the

university tower get blown up. It's the tallest building ever demolished
