Good morning, guys. Leah here this Wednesday, live with your very

latest Newsround. Coming up: Why freezing temperatures made an

escaped prisoner decide to go back to jail.

And the first glimpse of what the new Doctor looks like all dressed

up. Keep watching! But first we're talking about how

many of you have had experiences of cyber bullying. The charity

Childline say that over the past year the number of young people

contacting them with worries of being targeted online has nearly

doubled. More than 5,500 kids contacted them last year. They say

the increase is partly down to more kids having smartphones and tablets.

Children nowadays... If they went to the bedroom, their parents used to

know they were safe. That is not the case any more. Now children can be

reached 24 hours a day through smartphones, tablets and devices

that are not necessarily in the family room.

Next, a US military helicopter has crashed on the Norfolk coast. It

happened last night when the aircraft was carrying out a low

flying training exercise. Emergency services say four people have been

killed and an investigation into what caused the crash has begun.

Next, peace talks aimed at ending weeks of violence in South Sudan are

continuing today. It's one of the world's newest countries, having

only been created two years ago. It was hoped its independence from

Sudan would bring peace to an area that had endured decades of war. But

that's not been the case. Fighting between the government and rebel

groups broke out just before Christmas, and there are fears the

country could descend into all out civil war.

South Sudan gained independence from Sudan in 2011 after a war which

lasted decades and killed 1.5 million people. But today the men

that fought for their country's independents are now fighting each

other. In July, the country's President Putin is -- accused his

deputy of trying to seize power. Now the sides are fighting to control

the country's oilfield, which are worth a lot of money. The

international community fears the world's newest country is on the

brink of civil war. This is where the fiercest fighting is taking

place. Villages are empty as people flee their homes in the. Estimates

are that there are 200,000 displaced people who have moved away from the

violence. Probably 60% of those are children. Even before the fighting

started, South Sudan had a lot of problems. Although the country has

lots of oil, most people are poor. One in three have no access to

drinking water. One in every seven children will die before their fifth

birthday. However, there is some hope the crisis can be resolved.

After weeks of uncertainty, the two sides have begun to face discussions

for the first time. There are hopes the talks will provide a peaceful

solution soon. In America, there's been no let up

in the cold weather. Now all 50 US states are experiencing freezing

temperatures, including New York, Georgia, and Tennessee. It was minus

17 degrees Celsius in the small town of Hell, in Michigan. Weather

experts say they expect things to get better soon with temperatures

starting to rise in the coming days, although in Kentucky an escaped

prisoner turned himself in to get out of the cold!

Sport, and Manchester United suffered their third defeat in a row

for the first time in 14 years last night. A Ryan Giggs own goal set

them on the way to a 2-1 defeat to Sunderland in the first leg of their

Capital One Cup semifinal. Nemanya Vidic had pulled it back to 1-1, but

a controversial penalty for Sunderland gave them the win and got

United boss David Moyes rather upset. How could the linesman give

that from where he was standing? He would have to see through the

defender to give the decision. Can't believe it.

And he might have won Strictly Come Dancing during his break from the

sport, but gymnast Louis Smith's announced he's making a comeback for

the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow this summer. The three-time Olympic

medallist has decided to put off his retirement in order to compete.
