Great Britain get off to winning ways in the Winter Paralympics.

And should shouty parents be banned from the pitch? You have your say,

on Newsround. First up - Great Britain has got off

to a medal-winning start on the first day of the Winter Paralympics.

Jade Etherington took a silver medal with this run in the visually

impaired downhill. Becoming the first British woman ever to win a

Paralympic skiing medal. Joining me on the sofa is John

Dickinson-Lilley, a member of the British Disabled Ski Team. Was it

expected? Today was amazing. She had a bit of a crash at the end. That

was a relief thing at the end. What is it like? You are visually

impaired, isn't quite frightening? You focus on the voice in your head

because your guide has a headset. Will this pit the Paralympic team

and good measure for the rest of the Paralympics? It will be a great

boost for all of us. Fingers crossed for a gold. Thank you, John. The

Games will last for ten days, seeing more than 500 athletes from 45

countries competing for 72 gold medals. And this is how it all

started. At kicked off with this spec macular show, including this

giant ship and some ballet. The on going crisis between Ukraine and

Russia has caused some attention. A number of politicians have said they

will not be attending after Russia decided to send troops into crime.

-- Crimea. This visually impaired skier is representing Britain. It

was the best moment of my life, it was so good. And ever before I

wasn't nervous but the moment we walked on I was so nervous!

Britain's target is at least two medals. With one silver in the bag,

Great Britain is getting closer. If you turn on Radio 1 today you may

notice that all their presenters are women. That's because the girls have

taken over the airwaves for International Women's Day. Radio 1

has lined up 39 hours of its most popular female DJs, like Jameela

Jamil, for the takeover. The first Women's Day was in 1911 when over a

million people attended a rally for women to have the right to vote and

to equal pay. Next, councils in England and Wales

have accused some electronic cigarette companies of targeting

children in their marketing. They say there's a risk that e-cigarettes

could become a gateway to children smoking normal cigarettes, but

manufacturers deny the claims. In January the Government announced

under-18s in England will be banned from buying electronic cigarettes.

Next up - if you're playing sport this weekend you might experience a

bit of this. SHOUTING. Well, parents watching youth matches today and

tomorrow in Lancashire are being told not to shout on the sidelines.

Lancashire Football Association's Silent Weekend aims to change

attitudes and behaviour during sports involving you guys. Sometimes

the loud support can put too much pressure on young kids. The idea was

put to the test at an Under-9s game in Horwich - this is what a few of

the children thought. I think we play better when they are not

shouting because when people showed it is hard to think. It was better

because we didn't have people shouting at us. How does it make you

feel? When they say bad things it hurts but when they say good things

you get encouraged. Well, we've been asking you whether your parents put

Sticking with sport and the FA Cup quarterfinals start today, in just

under an hour Arsenal host Everton. Arsenal fans will be keeping their

fingers crossed they beat the Toffees as the cup could be the

Gunners' best chance of ending their nine-year wait for a trophy. There's

also Premier League action at lunchtime with Manchester United

travelling to West Brom in a must win match for both teams. West Brom

are just one point above the relegation zone and Man United will

be looking on closing the gap on the top four. That's all from me.
