Evening, guys, Ayshah here. First to what could be the wettest winter for | :00:00. | :00:12.
250 years. Severe flooding has led to more than 1,000 homes being | :00:13. | :00:15.
evacuated in the south-east of England and thousands more are at | :00:16. | :00:19.
serious risk. The army has been brought in to help out as record | :00:20. | :00:23.
water levels continue to rise in the Thames Valley. With more rain on the | :00:24. | :00:26.
way this week, the Prime Minister David Cameron said that "money's no | :00:27. | :00:30.
object" in dealing with the floods, but that we're "in it for a long | :00:31. | :00:35.
haul". Many of those affected by the floods believe that more should be | :00:36. | :00:39.
done to help. Most of the severe flood warnings, | :00:40. | :00:42.
meaning there's a danger to life, are in the Thames Valley in the | :00:43. | :00:46.
South East of England. One of the worst-hit places is the village of | :00:47. | :00:49.
Wraysbury and Nel sent us this report from there earlier today. | :00:50. | :00:54.
I am here in a small village in the south-east of England, Wraysbury, | :00:55. | :00:59.
that is devastated by flooding. This is a playground behind me, and | :01:00. | :01:03.
behind that, some cricket field submerged in water. So far today, | :01:04. | :01:08.
the emergency services had been out and about, fire trucks, the army are | :01:09. | :01:13.
here, we even saw the RSPCA helping out. Large trucks had been coming | :01:14. | :01:17.
through full of sand that are being backed up and put in doorways to try | :01:18. | :01:22.
to keep the water out as much as possible. The local community have | :01:23. | :01:26.
come together, lots of volunteers out and about in high visibility | :01:27. | :01:31.
jackets to help and guide people to places of safety. We would be | :01:32. | :01:34.
sticking around for the rest of the day to see how the locals cope with | :01:35. | :01:40.
such a devastating situation. We'll have more from Nel tomorrow | :01:41. | :01:43.
morning. Now, I can't believe it's been a year already but Britain's | :01:44. | :01:47.
Got Talent is back this week. The four judges were in the capital this | :01:48. | :01:50.
afternoon so we sent Ricky to find out from Cowell and the gang what's | :01:51. | :01:54.
going to be different about the show this year. | :01:55. | :01:56.
They have a special, golden buzzer that can send through an act | :01:57. | :01:59.
immediately, but they can only press it once. | :02:00. | :02:03.
Britain's got talent is the baby of Simon Callow, but some of us have | :02:04. | :02:06.
told you this that they have enough of this reality TV formats, so are | :02:07. | :02:11.
they doing anything they can to create drama. | :02:12. | :02:16.
The golden buzzer, that is the big thing, I thought, this is amazing, | :02:17. | :02:20.
it is like the golden ticket, you are through. Never change the | :02:21. | :02:29.
willing formula too much. My daughter watches newsround! Hello! | :02:30. | :02:36.
The golden buzzer gives you the incentive to get behind an act and | :02:37. | :02:41.
championed them. Have you pressed it yet? Maybe today! Who knows? | :02:42. | :02:48.
We'll have more from the judges tomorrow morning, and in the | :02:49. | :02:51.
meantime if you missed our special programme all about cyber bullying | :02:52. | :02:54.
and how to cope if it's happening to you, it's there on the website for | :02:55. | :02:57.
you to watch. That's all from me, Newsround's back | :02:58. | :02:59.
in the morning. | :03:00. | :03:00. |
