brilliant Saturday afternoon. I'm Ricky, and here's what's coming up | :00:07. | :00:10.
on Newsround. We go FA Cup Final crazy and meet | :00:10. | :00:12.
two sisters from a very confused family! | :00:12. | :00:16.
Drama in space as two astronauts plan an emergency space walk. | :00:16. | :00:26.
:00:26. | :00:27. | ||
And... What's got this woman so So, in just a few hours time, Wigan | :00:27. | :00:31.
will play one of their most important games ever, as they try to | :00:31. | :00:35.
beat Manchester City to this shiny silver beauty. It's the FA Cup final | :00:35. | :00:39.
at Wembley. 2011 winners Man City take on struggling Wigan who will be | :00:39. | :00:44.
playing in their first ever FA Cup final. Earlier today, I caught up | :00:44. | :00:54.
with Football Focus presenter Dan Walker. This is very much the | :00:54. | :01:01.
princes against the paupers. Obviously, Wigan have a lot of | :01:01. | :01:05.
things to worry about with their Premier League future, but it is a | :01:05. | :01:08.
day for them to enjoy, you never know with a 1-off game, they might | :01:09. | :01:12.
be able to do it, but everyone will expect Manchester City to be the | :01:12. | :01:18.
winners. Fans of both sides are making their | :01:18. | :01:22.
way to Wembley - including a family at war! I caught up with Charis and | :01:22. | :01:26.
Esme who both support Wigan - but their dad supports Man City! There | :01:26. | :01:32.
is a bit of a problem, because you are both Wigan fans, but your dad is | :01:32. | :01:42.
:01:42. | :01:42. | ||
a supporter of Manchester City, a family wore! How big a deal is it? | :01:42. | :01:46.
My dad is usually screaming at the television for Manchester City. When | :01:46. | :01:55.
Wigan, on, he is not as shouting. Well Wigan do it? I think Wigan will | :01:55. | :02:02.
win by a penalty. Is this difficult having your dad supporting a | :02:02. | :02:10.
different team? Every weekend, we hear him shouting when they score. | :02:10. | :02:13.
What will you do when you go to the match this weekend and he screams | :02:13. | :02:21.
for Wigan or Manchester City? sitting at the Wigan hand, but my | :02:22. | :02:29.
mum is making him wear a unjust city scarf before he goes and gets his | :02:29. | :02:34.
ticket. -- were a Manchester City scarf. | :02:34. | :02:36.
Next - astronauts from the International Space Station will be | :02:37. | :02:40.
making an emergency space walk later today, to try and fix what's been | :02:40. | :02:43.
described as a serious leak. It was spotted yesterday when flakes of a | :02:43. | :02:46.
chemical called ammonia were seen flying away from the station. This | :02:46. | :02:49.
kind of thing is really rare but officials say the crew is not in | :02:49. | :02:51.
danger. Next, to a special report on | :02:51. | :02:54.
something we know you care a lot about. The number of elephants and | :02:54. | :02:57.
rhinos being killed for their tusks and horns is at an all-time high. | :02:58. | :03:01.
Some experts warn that we could see an end to some of these majestic | :03:01. | :03:04.
animals in a matter of years, unless we do something about it. Nel has | :03:05. | :03:10.
been finding out why this is happening and how we can stop it. | :03:10. | :03:16.
Experts say there is a worrying amount of poaching. Ivory is still | :03:16. | :03:20.
being smuggled and sold. Reports of rhinos and elephants | :03:20. | :03:23.
being killed for their horns and tusks are on the increase. In 2002, | :03:23. | :03:26.
25 rhinos were killed for their horns. Flash forward to 2012 and | :03:26. | :03:29.
that number rose to 668. Last year 35,000 elephants were killed for | :03:29. | :03:33.
their ivory - that's the worst it's been for 20 years. So the question | :03:33. | :03:40.
is why is this happening? What we are seeing is that in countries like | :03:40. | :03:43.
Vietnam or China, is a much greater wealth these days. So a rise in | :03:43. | :03:46.
middle class and people demanding all kinds of luxury goods, and | :03:46. | :03:49.
amazingly things like rhino horn and elephant tusks are seen in this | :03:49. | :03:52.
light and they are being turned into little trinkets like this or even | :03:52. | :03:57.
for medicine. But the medicines don't work. So Vietnam, China, | :03:57. | :04:00.
Singapore and Thailand too. It's here in Asia where 90% of the | :04:00. | :04:04.
world's ivory and rhino horns are bought, and though it will take a | :04:04. | :04:07.
global effort to end the ivory trade, the work begins in Africa | :04:07. | :04:13.
where most of the animals live. What kind of things do you guys do | :04:13. | :04:21.
to try to protect the rhinos in South Africa? We educate communities | :04:22. | :04:28.
with research and development in the affected areas. We use lots of cool | :04:28. | :04:32.
bits of equipment, and the final bit is to make people aware of what is | :04:32. | :04:40.
going on. The number of wild African elephants is falling dramatically, | :04:40. | :04:44.
and three of the five species of wild rhino in the world are on the | :04:44. | :04:46.
critically endangered list and that's after ten years of enjoying | :04:46. | :04:49.
growth. But there are some people who have high hopes for the future | :04:49. | :04:52.
of these majestic creatures. It's going to take a phenomenal effort | :04:52. | :04:56.
and it's going to be down to every single one of us - no-one should | :04:56. | :04:59.
believe that they are powerless, we all have the ability to change our | :04:59. | :05:02.
world. It just takes effort. And if you head to the Newsround | :05:02. | :05:05.
website, you can see lots more on this story. Including an interview | :05:05. | :05:08.
with two volunteers in Africa working trying to protect rhino and | :05:08. | :05:10.
elephants from hunters. Last up - we've found something | :05:10. | :05:13.
Britain's really good at! Holding the record for the most roly polys! | :05:13. | :05:17.
This is Ashley Wallis, he performed a lot of forward rolls in under a | :05:17. | :05:20.
minute. The 14-year-old managed to do 75 making him our champion! Check | :05:20. | :05:23.
out his mate who could hardly contain herself when he broke the | :05:23. | :05:27.
record! You've been on the Newsround website | :05:27. | :05:30.
all day telling us what records you'd like to break. Niamh in Surrey | :05:30. | :05:33.
says having the most cow things ever because I absolutely love cows! | :05:33. | :05:36.
Georgia in York says, I'd break the record for eating the most baked | :05:36. | :05:43.
beans in one minute. And Maisie in Wirral says, I'd like | :05:43. | :05:48.
to win the record of most people doing Gangam Style in my school. | :05:48. | :05:51. |
