Good morning, Ayshah here with Friday's top stories. Coming up: The

whole nation reaches for their brooms as the UK goes for Gold in

the curling. And dogs have more in common with humans than we thought.

The clock is ticking, with just over five hours to go until the final

we've all been waiting for. Team GB's men facing off against Canada

in the nations new favourite sport, curling. You'll need to be glued to

your TVs from 1.30 this afternoon and all eyes will be on Team GB

skipper Dave Murdoch who will be hoping to keep his cool and go for

gold. Regardless of the result, Britain will equal their best ever

medal record in a Winter Olympics with four medals, the best we've

done since 1924. Next to Ukraine where the president's office has

said that an agreement has been reached with European politicians

which may help resolve the crisis in the country - although the

opposition has not confirmed the claim. The talks came after a day of

violent clashes in the capital Kiev - although no further fighting broke

out over night. Seventy seven people have died in clashes since Tuesday

and over five hundred people have been injured. Politicians from

European countries have already agreed to impose sanctions, like

travel bans, on those they think are responsible and have criticised the

story you hear in the news, there's advice there as well. This will

probably come as no surprise but we've had the wettest winter since

records began. There's still a week to go until the season is officially

recognised as over but the rainfall record has already been broken with

the UK receiving over 486 millimetres of rain between 1st

December and 19th February. The record comes after relentless storms

and rainfall over the past two months which saw severe floods

across many parts of England. Now, when you go to the shops you

probably don't think about the type of money your using to buy things.

But for people in Scotland that may have to change. In September people

there will have to vote on whether Scotland should be a separate

country to rest of the UK - and there's a big argument over what

kind of money people might have to use if the country becomes

independent. Nel's got more. Whether you live in Wales, Northern Ireland,

Scotland or England, you will be using the same money. At the moment,

everyone in the UK uses the pound to pay for things. In other kroints,

they -- countries they use different money like the euro. On 18th

September people in Scotland will be asked should Scotland be an

independent country. Those for independence say that even if

Scotland becomes separate from the rest of the United Kingdom, people

here will still be able to use the pound to buy things. But the man in

charge of money for the UK Government, George Osborne, said it

might not work and Scottish people would need to use different Monday

kids think. I think we should keep the pound. Here at the Border we

would have two currencies. They should keep it. Because we have

learned our currency. We can just make our own currency and just make

it and then just make it and we will deal with it and we can just get on

with our lives. If we go shopping in England, it might be a bit annoying

for us, because we won't have the right currency. But we will have to

carry on. When the time comes to decide yes or no to independence,

whether it will keep the pound is something voters will be thinking

about. Some footy news for you - and it was a mixed night for Tottenham

and Swansea in the Europa League. Spurs lost 1-0 against FC Dinipro

after Jan Vertongen gave away this penalty. The result means Tottenham

have it all to do in the return leg on 27th February. Elsewhere, Swansea

City put in a cracking performance drawing 0-0 against Napoli. Although

the Swans didn't score they did come close on several occasions - Wilfred

Boney with this effort. Animal news - and scientists have found out more

about the bond humans have with dogs. By placing dogs in a scanner,

a team from Hungary in Eastern Europe has found that the canine

brain reacts to voices in the same way that the human brain does -

especially when they hear emotionally charged sounds like

laughter. Sticking with our furry friends and pet owners in Sochi have

been getting into the Winter Olympic spirit by dressing their animals in

the same outfits worn by the Russian Olympic team. Rabbits, cats, parrots

and dogs have all been getting involved - Snow way! Yes way That's
