Coming up: Snow and more on the way. And I am at the Olympic Park, six

months on from the very first event of London 2012.

First to the thing everyone's talking about - more heavy snow is

set to hit parts of the UK anytime now. Some schools in Scotland and

northern England closed early today as people prepare for one last

snowfall. Warmer temperatures and rain are set to come our way over

the weekend, but there are fears the melting snow and heavy rain

could cause flooding. Meanwhile in America, temperatures of minus 20

degrees have been making bubbles freeze in mid-air and turning

bananas into hammers. Tennis now and Andy Murray is into

the Australian Open final after an epic 5-set battle against Roger

Federer. It was a gruelling match and Nel watched the action.

From the start Murray looked sharp winning the first set but Federer

won the second on a tie-break. Murray struck back winning the

third set. The Swiss master took the fourth,

again on a tie-break. The Andy Murray of old might have broken

down at this point but not any more. He refocused and raced to a 5-2

lead, winning the match after a Federer forehand went long.

A great win for Murray but in Sunday's final it gets even tougher.

He will face world number one Novak Djokovic.

It's six months since a spectacular opening ceremony kick-started an

incredible few weeks of sport at London 2012 - but have the Games

continued to inspire a generation? Leah's at the Olympic Park now.

Yes, the Olympic Park looks a lot less busy than it did six months

ago, when the eyes of the world were focused right here for the

Olympic and Paralympic Games. There was a real feel-good factor

immediately after London 2012, but as those golden memories fade, are

young people still feeling inspired? I've been to a school and

sports club here in East London, to find out.

Jessica Ennis is the Olympic champion! The best moment was the

gymnastics. Has to be when Mo Farah won. He won with lots of pride, it

was very good that. My favourite bit was when Jade Jones won gold

medal and I thought that was really inspiring. Some of the highlights

of the amazing summer of sport. But are those just distant memories now

the Games are over? Or have our athletes inspired the next

generation of sporting heroes? After seeing everyone else get

involved in the Olympics I feel as part of carrying it on to get

involved myself. Yes the Olympics was important, it shone that light

on what was available. But it's even more important for us now to

continue that on and the need and demand is definite definitely there.

It's changed everyone, the way we see sports, football, everything,

running, athletics, it's different now because we have seen the

Olympics and Paralympics. So those guys are still feeling the

buzz, but what about across the rest of the country? You've been

getting in touch on the Newsround And it's not just about memories -

�300 million is being spent to turn the Olympic Park into a community

for people, with new schools and homes being built. 17,500 seats

have been removed from the Aquatic Centre, and temporary venues like

the hockey stadium are being demolished. However, whilst

athletics and music concerts are booked into the Olympic Stadium

itself in July, the long-term future of this great venue still

unclear. Back to you, Joe. Thank you very much. Next - how

that Mistle Thrushes are now spotted in fewer than half the

number of gardens they were seen in 10 years ago. And with their

numbers on the slide, the charity wants you to join in their annual

Big Garden Birdwatch this weekend to help them get a picture of how

many birds there are across the country.
