tuning in, I've got all you need to know. Here is what is in store. The

No? Fill you in later. Leah is live at Wimbledon. What you got? Yes, we

know who is through to the ladies final and find out why you might

need these 3D glasses over the weekend instead of your normal

shades. Before all that, it's not the

weekend, it's not the school holidays, but loads of you have had

an extra day off lessons today. It's because many teachers across

England and Wales have gone on strike. At least 12,000 schools

were affected, the biggest walkout by teachers in years. Your thoughts

coming up. First, Leah has been in the max. Lots of schools have been

strangely quiet today. But you can't say the same for the parks.

So, why are none of these kids at school?

Well, today, teachers and lots of other people paid by the Government

like council workers and coastguards, are all on strike.

It's OK and I'm enjoying it so far. What about you, Petra, are you

happy to have a day off? Yes. I like it when there's days off,

don't have to go to school. Don't do hard work. They're protesting

because they think the Government's being unfair by changing their

pensions. That's the money you get to live on when you eventually stop

working. They reckon they'll end up with less money.

We need to negotiate on the issues of working longer, paying more and

getting less and striking today hopefully will make the Government

take that process a lot more seriously than it is at the moment.

But the Government says it's fair to ask teachers to pay a bit more.

They say their pensions should be more equal to what some workers in

other jobs pay. Well, well, well. Loads of you have

been telling us your thoughts about the strikes online. 12-year-old

Sharon says: It's most unfair that the whole country gets a day off

like my sister, whereas I have to do a max exam. Jade who is 13 says,

my school is off on strike day, the teachers seem to be happier than us

lot about it. Ten-year-old Sam is happy because his school ask

closing, but he's missing football club.

You guys are obviously loving the brand-new website. Thanks for

getting in touch. Britain's most famous couple are sharing their

love overseas for the first time. Wills and Kate are on their way to

Canada as we speak for their first official foreign visit. Over nine

days, they'll take part in a dragon boat race and go to a rodeo. It's

Kate's first time in Canada, but Wills went there 13 years ago with

his dad and little Boro Harry. It was only a few days ago when the

Royal pair were at Wimbledon. She may not have any Royal blood in her

but she's a Princess in our eyes! Leah is at the All England Club.

What is going down? We finally know who is through to the ladies final.

Maria Sharapova and Petra Kvitova. It's been a busy day on Centre

Court. Former Wimbledon champ, Maria Sharapova was up against

Sabine Lisicki from Germany and Sharapova won in two sets. Sabine

Lisicki wrote in to the tournament, as a wild card, asking if she could

take part. In the end, Sharapova proved too much for her. In the

other semi-final, Petra Kvitova made a strong start against

Victoria Azarenka. Azarenka fought back but wasn't good enough and won

in three sets. Andy Murray isn't in action until tomorrow, but good

news for the Brits. Lom Brody made it through to the semi-finals in

the boys singles. -- Liam Brody. He's been training with Djokovic. -

- Broady. All the finals are going to be played in cinemas in 3D

across the country. Are you ready? I am!

I am. From Wimbledon to the Scottish seas where a swarm of

jellyfish have shut down a power station. They got stuck in the

filters after they floated in towards the station ats to

necessary. Workers decided it was safer to turn off the power until

the swarm was cleared. It's not often you can say a new country is

about to be created. But, next week, that is what is happening in

Africa's biggest nation, Sudan. It's hoped that splitting the

country in two, making a new country called South Sudan, will

help end years of fighting. Recently, people living near the

border have been caught up in terrible violence.

This is all that remains of one of the villages caught up in fighting

near the border between north and south Sudan.

After a 21-year Civil War, south Sudan is finally gaining

independence to become its own country on the 9th July.

Tensions are still rising between the north and those who support the

south. Some of the worst violence is happening in a place called

South Kordofan. It's hard to find out exactly what is happening, as

the area's been pretty much cut off by the military. But aid workers

who've been in Sudan say there have been daily bomb attacked by

Government forces from the north and people live in constant fear.

As a result, tens of thousands of people are on the move trying to

escape the fighting. We estimate that about 70,000

people have moved into the mountain range, the very, very isolated area

which is difficult to access at the best of times. Right now, the

international community are being hindered on doing so by the armies

involved in the fighting. International leaders like US

President, Barack Obama, are calling for a ceasefire. Talks are

happening in Ethiopia to try and stop the violence.

Nobody knows whether these will work.

Now then, remember the name - Matthew Raymond-Barker? Probably

the most famous Brit in France. The 21-year-old from London's just won

the French version of The X Factor, he did have a go in the UK but only

made it to boot camp. So, while he was studying in the city of

Toulouse, hi entered the French show and hit the jackpot. The thing

is, he really isn't sure why the French were such big fans. Maybe

because I brought a more English/American style to it like a

lot of people like. I really don't have any idea why I won.

Neither am I to be honest. I've had some seriously hairy house mates,

Pete, Kez, you know I'm talking about you, but this one takes my
