November. The big news today is in Scotland, where a helicopter has

crashed into a pub in Glasgow. We have all the details, plus the day's

other top stories. To Scotland, then, where emergency

crews are at the scene of that serious helicopter crash. It

happened last night when a police helicopter crashed into the roof of

a busy pub in the city centre. 32 people are in hospital. Police in

Scotland have confirmed one person has died, but say that number is

expected to rise. Fire crews worked through the night to help rescue

anyone feared trapped in the building. In a minute, we'll get the

latest from Martin, who's in Glasgow. But first, a look back at

the night. As dawn broke, firefighters beat

done their desperate mission that continued the desperate mission to

make the building safe. Last night a police helicopter crashed into the

roof of a pub in the city centre. Alex Salmond called it a black day

for Glasgow and praised the emergency services. I think all of

us have seen over the last few hours, the speed and the effect of

the mobilisation of the emergency services in dealing with this. We

are still in a search and recovery phase. Our prayers are we are

successful and we recover people alive. Here you can see the wreckage

of the helicopter lying on the roof. More than 100 people were inside

watching a band. the speakers had blown, but then I

looked around and this cloud of dust suddenly took over the whole pub.

That is when I realised things were serious. It did not take long for

emergency crews to arrive. The revered in minutes helping bring

injured people out of the building. Know their main focus is making sure

the building is secure, but it is feared their work could take a long

time. An investigation will try to work out how this tragedy could have

happened. It's not known why the helicopter

came down. An investigation will start to try and work out just what

happened. People have started laying flowers at the scene. Across parts

of Scotland, people have been paying tribute to those injured and

affected by the accident. In Falkirk, where Glasgow Rangers are

playing in the Scottish Cup, a minute's silence was held in the

stadium before the game kicked off. Martin is in Glasgow for Newsround.

He's been telling us the latest. I am about 200 yards from the pub,

where at around 10:30pm last night, I helicopter crashed through the

roof. It's impossible to get any closer. Police have cordoned off a

massive part of the city of Glasgow, and are trying to stop people

getting any closer to the scene of the incident. Everywhere you look

there are emergency services. Fire engines everywhere, police cars,

this is normally a day when people do Christmas shopping and it is a

celebration here because it is St Andrews Day. At instead of enjoying

themselves and getting Christmas presents, they are trying to come to

terms with what has happened here. And we'll keep you updated on this

Church of Ireland cleared the way for women priests and bishops in

1991. The badger cull in Gloucestershire

came to an end at lunchtime today, three weeks earlier than scheduled.

The cull was an attempt to stop badgers spreading a disease called

TB which affects cows. But it's been called off because not enough

badgers have been killed to meet targets. A similar pilot in Somerset

ended last month after it also failed to meet targets. Opponents

said the cull would have no effect and vaccinating badgers against TB

would be a better option. Last up, have the Christmas lights

in your town been turned on yet? People in Froome in Somerset had a

treat when F1 star Jenson Button did the honours. Five, four, three, two,

one. Jenson, who grew up in Froome and went to school there, also

showed off his driving skills, racing and spinning through the
