29/04/2013 Crimewatch Update

Welcome back. It has been a particularly busy night, before I

tell you what's come in I want to re-appeal again on those shootings

in the French Alps of the al-Hilli family. The police are looking for

a dark 4x4 vehicle, possibly a BMX. All the locations are on our

website. A reminder of the shocking Well Detective Inspector David

Grierson is here again. Have hu good calls tonight? A number of

interesting calls, haven't had that vital call about the murder weapon

or missing key. That was a 25 centimetre, you think it was a

kitchen night, was the weapon. Tell me about somebody smelling of smoke

that night. The fires didn't set very well but whoever did it would

smell strongly of smoke, if they came home anybody would notice.

Back to the 20th anniversary of the murder of 18-year-old Stephen

Lawrence. DCI Driscoll is here. How has tonight gone? It's very

encouraging. We have had many phone calls but two in particular are

significant. One could produce a potential eyewitness to the attack.

One gives very good background information about suspects already

known. In addition to that, we have also had three phone calls about

the green jumper or jacket and we will be making inquiries around

those bits of information to verify them. That sounds encouraging,

thank you very much. Remember the images you saw of that

devastating hammer attack outside a pub in the high street Wieldstone.

A name has been suggested and detectives are very interested in.

A reminder of the brutal attack on 29-year-old Gary Hayward T happened

It's the best outcome we can hope for really is that Gary gets his

justice and Gary can't fight for it for himself.

have had very encouraging calls, what do you want to say to the

important people who called tonight? I want to say that the

information they give will be treated in the strictest confidence

and there are measures to put in place to people if they're

concerned about coming forward. We have had 20-plus names now, five

people more than once. It's important people should call and be

assured by that. We have had a lot of encouraging

calls on the wanted faces, particularly this man, Qasim Chan,
