Commonwealth Summit in Sri Lanka. That is all from the BBC News at

:00:00.:00:16.

Tonight, on Reporting Scotland: A ?4 billion investment in a North Sea

:00:17.:00:22.

oilfield gets the go ahead - the project will support 20,000 jobs.

:00:23.:00:29.

He was badly injured in this horrific crash in America - now the

:00:30.:00:32.

Scots racing driver Dario Franchitti has announced his retirement on

:00:33.:00:39.

medical grounds. Welcome home, Dad - a homecoming

:00:40.:00:42.

parade for the Scots battalion which lost three soldiers in a roadside

:00:43.:00:49.

bomb in Afghanistan. I have got tears in my eyes. It is brilliant.

:00:50.:00:54.

We feel for the ones who never came home. And later in the programme:

:00:55.:01:00.

Going off piste - as Scotland's skiing season gets under way, a

:01:01.:01:03.

guide is published for the more adventurous skier.

:01:04.:01:09.

An Aberdeen-based oil company has been given the go-ahead for a ?4

:01:10.:01:13.

billion project off Shetland. The Krayken development will support

:01:14.:01:15.

20,000 jobs during its construction phase and is one of the biggest

:01:16.:01:19.

investments in the UK this year. -- Kraken development. Steven Duff

:01:20.:01:26.

reports. Situated east of Shetland, the

:01:27.:01:29.

Kraken field is the biggest investment in the UK North Sea this

:01:30.:01:35.

year. Developer EnQuest is plunging ?4 billion into the project. There

:01:36.:01:41.

is an estimated 140 million barrels of oil and the construction phase is

:01:42.:01:46.

expected to support 20,000 jobs. The field was discovered in 1985. But

:01:47.:01:51.

the advent of new technology and the ability to access that technology

:01:52.:01:57.

and the oil price going up has enabled us to make it economic. This

:01:58.:02:02.

harbour already benefits from work related to development to the west

:02:03.:02:06.

of Shetland. This new field to the East will mean more work. We have

:02:07.:02:11.

the quayside is, we have the supply chain companies here. All of them

:02:12.:02:15.

are very experienced in the oil and gas industry. We feel we are

:02:16.:02:20.

perfectly located to be a port that is used for the installation and

:02:21.:02:23.

ongoing operation of the Kraken field. The Kraken announcement comes

:02:24.:02:28.

in a week when a report called for drastic action to stop the decline

:02:29.:02:31.

in UK oil and gas production and exploration. Sir Ian Wood warranted

:02:32.:02:38.

billions of pounds was risked being lost from the economy. It

:02:39.:02:42.

demonstrates that when industry and government work together, when we

:02:43.:02:47.

have a stable tax regime, significant projects can be

:02:48.:02:53.

developed in the UK. EnQuest said during its expected 25 year life,

:02:54.:02:56.

the Kraken field should support around 1000 operational jobs. As for

:02:57.:03:01.

the oil, that's good, as soon as 2016.

:03:02.:03:09.

-- that could come as soon as 2016. Douglas Fraser joins me now. Can you

:03:10.:03:17.

explain what the technology here? We know there has been heavy oil in

:03:18.:03:21.

this field for 30 years. But it has not been possible until now to

:03:22.:03:24.

extract that. The technical challenge is that this oil is more

:03:25.:03:33.

of this case. -- much more viscous. It requires some means of piloting

:03:34.:03:37.

in order to get it to flow. You have to think more wealth than usual.

:03:38.:03:43.

This field has 25 different wells. Many fields you have to leave quite

:03:44.:03:47.

a lot behind. Handling it and processing it requires a lot of

:03:48.:03:50.

energy and costs. They reckon this will cost about ?4 billion over the

:03:51.:03:56.

life span, 25 years, of the Kraken field. They estimate, if they are

:03:57.:04:02.

correct about oil prices, they should sell the oil for more than

:04:03.:04:05.

twice that amount. How does this fit into the bigger picture for the

:04:06.:04:10.

North Sea? It is part of a second wind for the North Sea which extends

:04:11.:04:13.

into the Atlantic, west of Shetland as well. This year we are expecting

:04:14.:04:19.

more than ?13 billion to be invested in the UK oil and gas sector

:04:20.:04:24.

offshore, that is in new fields and upgrading equipment for the old

:04:25.:04:26.

fields to keep them producing and that is a record amount. That should

:04:27.:04:31.

help to turn around what has been decline in the last 14 years from

:04:32.:04:36.

the peak of oil and gas production in UK waters. The past three years

:04:37.:04:42.

has been a rapid decline. Clearly there is a good few years left if

:04:43.:04:46.

you look at investments like this. There is still a lot of jobs to had

:04:47.:04:50.

indeed oil and gas sector but there are concerns that we do not have the

:04:51.:04:55.

skills to pick up all of the opportunities they have in this

:04:56.:04:58.

sector. There are fears that girls are being

:04:59.:05:02.

brought to Scotland from other parts of the UK and Europe to undergo

:05:03.:05:05.

female genital mutilation. A BBC investigation has found that the

:05:06.:05:08.

country is regarded as an easy option by those carrying out the

:05:09.:05:11.

practice because no case has ever been brought to court. Lucy Adams

:05:12.:05:18.

has this exclusive report. Fatou Baldeh is from the Gambia but

:05:19.:05:23.

lives in Scotland. She remembers being cut aged seven. I was

:05:24.:05:27.

blindfolded and some people held my hand and other people held my legs.

:05:28.:05:32.

I remember I was screaming for my mother and my grandmother to help

:05:33.:05:39.

me. But no one did. This is not where you would expect female

:05:40.:05:43.

genitalia mutilation or FGM to take place. The UN estimates that 3

:05:44.:05:49.

million girls are cut around the world each year. And now we know

:05:50.:05:54.

that some of those girls are cut here in Scotland. Anela Anwar at the

:05:55.:06:02.

charity Roshni is concerned that Scotland is becoming a centre for

:06:03.:06:06.

FGM. Because Scotland has been lacking in prosecutions or pursuing

:06:07.:06:12.

the issue of female genital mutilation, families are coming from

:06:13.:06:15.

England and Wales into Scotland to carry out the practice on their

:06:16.:06:19.

girls and that is concerning that Scotland is now being viewed as a

:06:20.:06:23.

place that does not take the issue of FGM seriously. New Scottish

:06:24.:06:27.

government figures seen by the BBC show that between 1987 and 2011 some

:06:28.:06:34.

2000 and 403 girls were born in Scotland to a mother from an FGM

:06:35.:06:42.

practising country. -- 2403 girls. This is child abuse inflicted on

:06:43.:06:45.

children and young people and it needs to be treated as such. The

:06:46.:06:51.

Detective Chief Superintendent is concerned that health professionals

:06:52.:06:54.

are not referred cases. She said every daughter born to a woman who

:06:55.:06:59.

had undergone FGM should be flagged as a child protection issues. How

:07:00.:07:03.

many referrals have you had from health? Dell none. In a statement

:07:04.:07:07.

the equalities minister said... Lucy Adams, former BBC Reporting

:07:08.:07:32.

Scotland. And you can hear more on The

:07:33.:07:35.

Investigation: Cutting Love on BBC Radio Scotland on Sunday at 10.30am.

:07:36.:07:45.

The Scottish Green Party has launched its campaign for a Yes vote

:07:46.:07:48.

in next year's independence referendum. Steven Godden reports.

:07:49.:07:52.

In the yes Scotland Alliance, the Green Party are very much the junior

:07:53.:07:57.

partner. Their vision of an independent Scotland is not the same

:07:58.:08:01.

as the SNP's, a vision spelt out at a campaign launched in Edinburgh

:08:02.:08:06.

this morning. Many in the SNP membership would like a Scottish

:08:07.:08:08.

currency, would like to challenge the idea of monarchy or of

:08:09.:08:14.

membership of NATO. But the opportunities that exist and the

:08:15.:08:17.

risks that exist, we need to be honest about both. The Green Party

:08:18.:08:22.

bot message is that they are not nationalists. Instead, the party's

:08:23.:08:28.

belief in independent is rooted in an desire to transform politics and

:08:29.:08:31.

society. The kind of radical change, they argue, that Westminster is

:08:32.:08:36.

increasingly unlikely to deliver. They have a lot of energy and ideas.

:08:37.:08:41.

They have distinctive policies. It is important people begin to CD

:08:42.:08:45.

adversity within the pro-independence camp. But according

:08:46.:08:48.

to their referendum opponents, the Green Party have chosen the wrong

:08:49.:08:53.

side. Patrick talks about our success in the National Health

:08:54.:08:55.

Service in Scotland and in education in Scotland, there are lots of those

:08:56.:09:00.

issues I would agree with him. Devolution has been good for

:09:01.:09:03.

Scotland. Scotland can continue to enjoy the best of both worlds with a

:09:04.:09:07.

strong Scottish Parliament and still a place in the United Kingdom.

:09:08.:09:12.

Having fleshed out a distinct case for independence, the challenge for

:09:13.:09:16.

the Green Party is to make sure that their voices heard in the run-up to

:09:17.:09:22.

next September's vote. You're watching Reporting Scotland

:09:23.:09:26.

from the BBC. Still to come on the programme. We go off piste with a

:09:27.:09:31.

new guide to skiing away from Scotland's main slopes.

:09:32.:09:37.

In sport, two of our national teams are in action tonight. We'll be live

:09:38.:09:41.

at Hampden as our footballers prepare to play the USA. And we'll

:09:42.:09:44.

look ahead to the biggest match in Scottish Rugby League history - that

:09:45.:09:49.

and more later. F1 drivers Lewis Hamilton, Jenson

:09:50.:09:52.

Button and Paul di Resta have all paid tribute to Dario Franchitti,

:09:53.:09:57.

who has announced his retirement. The Scottish IndyCar driver may be

:09:58.:10:00.

relatively unknown in his homeland, but he's one of the biggest sporting

:10:01.:10:04.

stars in the United States. Last month, the 40-year-old driver was

:10:05.:10:07.

involved in an horrific crash in Houston. Rhona McLeod has more.

:10:08.:10:17.

This is the moment that ended the career of Dario Franchitti. He

:10:18.:10:21.

fractured his spine. He broke his ankle and suffered a concussion. One

:10:22.:10:26.

month later, doctors have advised the spinal and head, make it too

:10:27.:10:30.

dangerous for him to continue in this port. -- spinal and head

:10:31.:10:37.

trauma. His sporting achievements are considered legendary in America.

:10:38.:10:40.

A four-time IndyCar champion and three-time winner of the Indy 500,

:10:41.:10:43.

his earnings total around ?50 million. He is also a fully paid

:10:44.:10:49.

member of the American elite through his marriage to Ashley Judd. But the

:10:50.:10:54.

dangers of the sport were on his mind as he mentioned on a visit home

:10:55.:10:59.

almost a year to the day before the crash. Anybody who is involved in

:11:00.:11:03.

racing at any level has to think about the safety. And decide if it

:11:04.:11:08.

is for them. I have asked myself that question a couple of times and

:11:09.:11:14.

decided that I am per appeared to accept the risk and continue racing.

:11:15.:11:21.

At knock a sing course, his friend and fellow racing driver believes

:11:22.:11:24.

his talents have been undervalued in this country. He is a global

:11:25.:11:29.

superstar in motor sport but he could walk down Princes Street or

:11:30.:11:31.

Buchanan Street and nobody would notice him. The success he has had

:11:32.:11:39.

has been phenomenal. To win one Indy 500 is incredible. That is the

:11:40.:11:42.

biggest race in the role. But to win it three times especial. Some

:11:43.:11:47.

British greats have paid tribute. Dario Franchitti's cousin has

:11:48.:11:55.

said... Jenson Button said he looked up to Dario Franchitti as a

:11:56.:12:02.

youngster and Lewis Hamilton said... Deter said he hopes to continue in

:12:03.:12:06.

and off track capacity in an Indy car. The community will welcome back

:12:07.:12:09.

the man they call a legend. the man they call

:12:10.:12:17.

Hundreds of people have gathered in Glasgow city centre to support a

:12:18.:12:20.

homecoming parade of the Royal Highland Fusiliers. The battalion

:12:21.:12:23.

lost three soldiers in a roadside bomb attack in Afghanistan earlier

:12:24.:12:26.

this year. Laura Maxwell watched the parade.

:12:27.:12:34.

A rousing return. Friends and family and the people of Glasgow turned out

:12:35.:12:38.

in their hundreds to welcome home the Royal Highland Fusiliers. But

:12:39.:12:44.

this was a difficult tour. The battalion lost three of their

:12:45.:12:47.

comrades when their armoured vehicle was hit in a roadside blast in

:12:48.:12:51.

Afghanistan in April. Corporal William Savage from urban. Private

:12:52.:12:56.

Samuel fled from Blackpool. And private Robert Hetherington

:12:57.:13:01.

originally from America. Today we remember them. We will continue to

:13:02.:13:08.

remember them for the rest of the future. The battalion has spent the

:13:09.:13:11.

last six month in Helmand Province, mentoring the Afghan police. They

:13:12.:13:18.

are a force that can secure the protected communities in central

:13:19.:13:22.

Helmand Province. To see their progress was encouraging. This

:13:23.:13:27.

parade marks the end of two Scots FINAL tour in Afghanistan. Their

:13:28.:13:31.

families are very proud. I have got tears in my eyes. It is brilliant. I

:13:32.:13:39.

am proud. We feel for the ones who never came home. It is great to have

:13:40.:13:45.

them back. The Royal Highland Fusiliers will now take on the leak

:13:46.:13:52.

that -- take on a UK based role. Their families are happy to have

:13:53.:13:53.

them home. One of South Africa's greatest

:13:54.:14:06.

breadth of players is joining Scottish researchers to raise

:14:07.:14:13.

awareness of military -- motor new rent disease.

:14:14.:14:24.

On the pitch, he was Scotland's tormentor. This guy has so much

:14:25.:14:33.

talent and aptitude. He is probably one of the best rugby players in the

:14:34.:14:40.

world. Remarkably, he says his diagnosis of motor neurone disease

:14:41.:14:42.

three years ago has made him a better person.

:14:43.:15:07.

Joost van der Westhuizen already has the support of the rugby community

:15:08.:15:13.

in raising awareness of the illness. Now he is working with Adam

:15:14.:15:21.

University to promote research. He once to bring research to South

:15:22.:15:27.

Africa, where at the moment nothing is happening. -- he wants. Former

:15:28.:15:33.

Rangers star Fernando Rixon is also battling the disease. Those who know

:15:34.:15:46.

Joost... I have seen an improvement since six months ago. I have seen

:15:47.:15:55.

him progress. Joost is a rugby legend. He says his mental strength

:15:56.:16:00.

as a player is now helping him face his greatest challenge.

:16:01.:16:05.

Other stories from across Scotland this Friday: Police have named a

:16:06.:16:14.

17-year-old girl who died after being hit by a lorry in Thornhill in

:16:15.:16:17.

Dumfries and Galloway. Emma Harkness, from nearby Penpont,

:16:18.:16:20.

was knocked down about five o'clock on Wednesday afternoon. An appeal's

:16:21.:16:24.

continuing for witnesses. An Aberdeen care home for the

:16:25.:16:27.

elderly is set to close following a highly critical report. Beach Court,

:16:28.:16:30.

operated by Four Seasons health care, was given until last week by

:16:31.:16:34.

the Care Inspectorate to make a series of improvements or face

:16:35.:16:36.

having it's registration withdrawn. The most recent inspection

:16:37.:16:39.

highlighted how staff were not always alert to potential risks in

:16:40.:16:41.

the home. A long-running industrial dispute at

:16:42.:16:46.

Stirling Council looks set to end. A deal reached between the council and

:16:47.:16:49.

unions means many staff will have a longer working week and see their

:16:50.:16:53.

pay cut. The council says the changes will help protect jobs and

:16:54.:17:00.

services. The deal's still to be agreed by union members.

:17:01.:17:03.

A public consultation is to be held on whether Edinburgh Council should

:17:04.:17:06.

end its long-standing tolerant approach to the sex trade by

:17:07.:17:10.

scrapping licences for saunas. Councillors have approved plans for

:17:11.:17:12.

the consultation on changing public entertainment licence rules.

:17:13.:17:16.

Scotland's top earners have increased their income at a greater

:17:17.:17:19.

rate than the rest of the nation's workers in the past decade,

:17:20.:17:22.

according to a report on inequality by economists at Stirling

:17:23.:17:27.

University. Pay packets for those in the top 1% are now 20 times bigger

:17:28.:17:31.

than those in the bottom 1% of earners.

:17:32.:17:36.

And there are more stories from your area, and all the latest news, 24

:17:37.:17:40.

hours a day, on BBC Scotland's website.

:17:41.:17:45.

The first book to offer snow sports enthusiasts a detailed guide to

:17:46.:17:50.

off-piste ski routes in Scotland is published today. The author says

:17:51.:17:54.

Scotland's mountains offer some fantastic downhill skiing away from

:17:55.:17:57.

the groomed slopes of the five main resorts, and experts say such

:17:58.:18:00.

adventures are not just for the daredevils amongst us. Our very own

:18:01.:18:09.

daredevil, Craig Anderson, reports. It could be Colorado, but it is just

:18:10.:18:17.

outside Fort William. Off piste skiing in Scotland has been a bit of

:18:18.:18:21.

a secret amongst some of the most extreme skiers. But this new guide

:18:22.:18:30.

suggests anyone could enjoy this. As they go up, people do not realise

:18:31.:18:34.

how much there is and how good it can be. Obviously, conditions are

:18:35.:18:40.

fickle in Scotland, everybody knows that, but when they are good, there

:18:41.:18:44.

can be some fantastic skiing on offer. The book details dozens of

:18:45.:18:50.

routes around the Nevis Range, traded as to their level of

:18:51.:18:56.

difficulty, a revelation perhaps to those who regard Scotland's ski

:18:57.:19:04.

areas as tame. Many people do not see what is over the next mountain,

:19:05.:19:07.

they have no idea this kind of skiing exes in Scotland. But what of

:19:08.:19:15.

the dangers of skiing outside the official slopes? For the right

:19:16.:19:21.

people, those dangers can be minimised. People who know what they

:19:22.:19:24.

are doing and have the right equipment and can mitigate a lot of

:19:25.:19:29.

those risks. Itself, a guidebook is no substitute for experience and

:19:30.:19:32.

technique for those prepared to try it, the only way is down.

:19:33.:19:43.

Let's go straight to David for the latest on some rather different

:19:44.:19:44.

sports. I thought that was Craig coming down

:19:45.:19:47.

the hill! Children In Need is not the only big

:19:48.:19:51.

event tonight. Two of our national teams will be in action. At 8.05,

:19:52.:19:55.

our footballers face the USA at Hampden. Our senior football

:19:56.:19:58.

reporter, Alasdair Lamont, is there for us now.

:19:59.:20:06.

We are expecting about 20,000 fans inside Hamden for this evening's

:20:07.:20:11.

match, the last international match inside Hamden for about a year

:20:12.:20:14.

because of the Commonwealth games. What can the fans expect? It is a

:20:15.:20:20.

friendly against the USA who are gearing up for Brazil 2014. You will

:20:21.:20:28.

probably see a couple of changes from Gordon Strachan's usual team.

:20:29.:20:34.

In any case, it should be an interesting match to see how

:20:35.:20:36.

Scotland fare against the United States. They eat them 18 months

:20:37.:20:44.

ago. -- the USA beat Scotland 18 months ago.

:20:45.:20:53.

The Braveheart 's, also known as Scotland's rugby league team, are

:20:54.:21:02.

also in action. They play New Zealand in the quarter finals of the

:21:03.:21:06.

World Cup. The Scots are unbeaten but are 500-to-1 outsiders to win

:21:07.:21:11.

the tournament. The Kiwis are the defending champions and favourites

:21:12.:21:19.

to win the competition. Scotland's red elite players and

:21:20.:21:22.

staff celebrate reaching the quarterfinals. -- rugby league. But

:21:23.:21:33.

do not worry - they played much better than they sing! The brave

:21:34.:21:40.

hearts are unbeaten, winning against Tonga, drawing with Italy and

:21:41.:21:47.

beating the USA. Next up, their toughest battle, New Zealand. The

:21:48.:21:56.

reigning world champions. This is a massive challenge. We are aware of

:21:57.:22:01.

that. That it is bored. We will have a good go. There is no doubt about

:22:02.:22:06.

that. The Scots may pull off the biggest shock is warts world history

:22:07.:22:10.

but they will never match fellow world quarter finalist Samoa when it

:22:11.:22:16.

comes to victory celebrations. Mind you, with the Bravehearts, nothing

:22:17.:22:21.

will surprise you. I can't match that, but I can treat

:22:22.:22:30.

you to a look at what else is happening across Scottish sport.

:22:31.:22:38.

Scotland have won just one of their last ten matches against safe Africa

:22:39.:22:45.

but one man making his international debut on Sunday says he will not be

:22:46.:22:50.

overawed by the Springboks. We have to play as if it was our last ever

:22:51.:22:55.

game. We will come out fine. It does not matter who you position is, it

:22:56.:22:59.

is always a special occasion. Neil Lennon was at Celtic's annual

:23:00.:23:07.

meeting today. He told reporters the club's recent success means they

:23:08.:23:11.

have money to spend. It is not a substantial amount of money but

:23:12.:23:15.

there will be money available if we want to improve the squad in certain

:23:16.:23:19.

areas. Paul Foster will play in the final

:23:20.:23:26.

of the international world Bowls. It is one of the best games I have been

:23:27.:23:35.

involved in. We both did turn it on today.

:23:36.:23:39.

Scots golfers Craig Lee and Craig Jamieson are just tried Henrik

:23:40.:23:43.

Stenson at eWorld tour Championship in Dubai. The Swedish player leaves

:23:44.:23:48.

12 under. And there are more sports stories on

:23:49.:23:57.

our website. That is all from me.

:23:58.:24:04.

Thank you. At the BBC studios in year in Glasgow we are gearing up

:24:05.:24:09.

for Children In Need tonight. We will be telling you all about the

:24:10.:24:13.

children we help, the projects we fund, and we are joined by our loyal

:24:14.:24:18.

fundraisers. Can we have a look at them? Come on, make a noise!

:24:19.:24:29.

CHEERING They were so quiet.

:24:30.:24:35.

We have them so well trained. On top of Terri's treat tonight, tomorrow

:24:36.:24:39.

in our highlight show we will have our children's wire, Nina Nesbitt,

:24:40.:24:44.

and this very special lady, Susan Boyle. We will see you at 7:30pm.

:24:45.:24:56.

Yes, but have you got Christopher Blanchett? I have excavation mark --

:24:57.:25:04.

I have! Staying fairly cloudy and mild

:25:05.:25:13.

tonight, and easy from the South West. Outbreaks of rain and drizzle

:25:14.:25:19.

across the North West of the country. A mild night. One or two

:25:20.:25:26.

spots just a touch cooler than six or seven. A cloudy start on Saturday

:25:27.:25:35.

but mild. Some rain starting to edge its way in and drifting South.

:25:36.:25:39.

Elsewhere, cloudy and drive for many parts for most of the day. Certainly

:25:40.:25:44.

by mid afternoon. Across the South, cloudy and drive. That rain just

:25:45.:25:50.

edging in towards Glasgow in the afternoon. Some areas drive. Wet and

:25:51.:25:56.

windy through the Highlands including in the North West.

:25:57.:26:03.

Nine-year-old Liam McIver brought in to say that if Castletown was on the

:26:04.:26:08.

map he would donate his pocket money to Children In Need. So that is ?5,

:26:09.:26:18.

please! Across the Galloway hills, some drizzle arriving later on in

:26:19.:26:21.

the day. Across the eastern ranges, dried that fairly cloudy. Some

:26:22.:26:30.

brightness through the Cairngorms. A south-westerly force six two

:26:31.:26:36.

north-westerly force five. Moderate seas and moderate visibility. In the

:26:37.:26:40.

Firth of Forth, a south-westerly force five veering north-westerly

:26:41.:26:45.

force seven. Good seas and visibility. The rain continues to

:26:46.:26:53.

work its way southwards. And then it is dry, clear and called. Widespread

:26:54.:26:59.

frost during the early hours of Sunday morning. Sunday is sandwiched

:27:00.:27:02.

in between Saturday is a smart weather there, Monday's whether

:27:03.:27:09.

towards the North. Plenty of sunshine but cold. Monday is a bit

:27:10.:27:15.

of a messy day. A transition day between what we are seeing at the

:27:16.:27:19.

minute and some really cold stuff to come. That really cold stuff is with

:27:20.:27:28.

us by Tuesday. By day, three or four degrees at best and potentially one

:27:29.:27:31.

or two snow showers to low levels, too.

:27:32.:27:34.

The main news: An Aberdeen-based oil company has been given the go-ahead

:27:35.:27:41.

for a ?4 billion project off Shetland. The Kraken development

:27:42.:27:44.

will support 20,000 jobs during its construction phase and is one of the

:27:45.:27:48.

biggest investments in the UK this year.

:27:49.:27:57.

200 demonstrators surrounded David Cameron's motorcade inch relying at

:27:58.:28:02.

the start of the controversial Commonwealth summit. They were

:28:03.:28:06.

protesting against the government's human rights abuses during the

:28:07.:28:12.

country's civil war. Late bulletin just after the 10pm

:28:13.:28:15.

News. See you then.
