the north and west. That's all from the BBC news at six.

:00:00.:00:14.

Tonight, on Reporting Scotland: the first report by air accident

:00:15.:00:24.

investigators into the Glasgow halibut copter crash. -- Glasgow

:00:25.:00:32.

helicopter crash. They've found no initial evidence of major mechanical

:00:33.:00:35.

malfunction, and there was plenty of fuel on board.

:00:36.:00:38.

Alcohol kills 20 people a week in Scotland. The NHS calls for more to

:00:39.:00:42.

be done to tackle the problem. I would not just by one bottle of

:00:43.:00:49.

cider, I would get three bottles of three litres. I would just start

:00:50.:00:53.

drinking them. The Scottish Parliament's Presiding

:00:54.:00:56.

Officer recommends halting a planned 11% pay rise for MSPs.

:00:57.:01:04.

Celtic ban more than 100 fans, following scenes described as

:01:05.:01:06.

shameful and embarrassing at Motherwell on Friday. And looking

:01:07.:01:13.

for shelter at Christmas - the robin that's found an unlikely home. A

:01:14.:01:26.

preliminary report into the Glasgow helicopter crash has found no

:01:27.:01:29.

initial evidence of major mechanical malfunction. A special bulletin from

:01:30.:01:33.

the Air Accidents Investigation Branch came on the day of the

:01:34.:01:36.

funerals of two of the victims of the which claimed the lives of nine

:01:37.:01:42.

people. Our report is at the crash site. What does this report tell us?

:01:43.:01:48.

You can see that fresh flowers are still being made here. That is an

:01:49.:01:54.

absolute sign that people here, it is still raw in their minds and they

:01:55.:01:58.

have a thirst to find out information about what happened that

:01:59.:02:03.

night. Today's report is an interim report so what it does is it does

:02:04.:02:06.

not tell us what went wrong that night and why the helicopter

:02:07.:02:10.

crashed. But what it does do is rule out some of the potential causes. We

:02:11.:02:15.

have learned from the report that the weather was fine, that the

:02:16.:02:18.

helicopter had about a fifth of a tank of fuel when it crashed.

:02:19.:02:23.

Experts say that would have been plenty to land. And we learned there

:02:24.:02:28.

is no evidence of major mechanical disruption to either engine. This

:02:29.:02:32.

information is very helpful to the aviation industry but what the

:02:33.:02:34.

families and those affected really want to know is what happened, and

:02:35.:02:39.

it may take some time for investigators to find out what went

:02:40.:02:42.

wrong with the helicopter that night.

:02:43.:02:48.

It is ten days now since witnesses said they saw the police helicopter

:02:49.:02:54.

dropped like a stone from the sky. The crew had started work at 8:45pm

:02:55.:02:59.

that evening, flying from Glasgow to Dalkeith and then of the North and

:03:00.:03:06.

South Lanarkshire. At 1018 PM the pilot requested clearance from air

:03:07.:03:09.

traffic controllers to return to the heliport in Glasgow. This was the

:03:10.:03:16.

last communication. Four minutes later, radar contact with the

:03:17.:03:21.

helicopter was lost. Today's into Britain report said the helicopter

:03:22.:03:25.

struck the flat roof of the Clutha with a high rate of descent and low

:03:26.:03:32.

or negligible forward speed. A preliminary examination showed that

:03:33.:03:35.

all the main rotor blades were attached at the time of impact. But

:03:36.:03:40.

that neither the main nor the tail rotor were rotating. After the

:03:41.:03:44.

initial examination, the helicopter was lifted clear of the building by

:03:45.:03:50.

a crane. 95 litres of fuel were removed from its tanks. It was then

:03:51.:03:55.

taken to Farnborough. There they found no evidence of major

:03:56.:03:57.

mechanical disruption of either engine, and that the main rotor

:03:58.:04:04.

gearbox was capable of providing drive. So far, extensive damage has

:04:05.:04:08.

prevented similar checks on the other gearbox. Experts say what has

:04:09.:04:14.

been ruled out leaves more questions than answers. I suspect they know

:04:15.:04:18.

something that they cannot prove at the moment and therefore do not tell

:04:19.:04:23.

us. I find it article two is matching what that might be. -- I

:04:24.:04:27.

find it very difficult to imagine what that might be. Hundreds of

:04:28.:04:32.

mourners turned out to the funerals of two victims, Mark O'Prey, 44, in

:04:33.:04:42.

East Kilbride, and 48-year-old Gary Arthur, the first of the victims to

:04:43.:04:46.

be named publicly. Nine people died in this tragedy. He funerals of

:04:47.:04:52.

police constable Tony Collins and John McGarrigle will take place

:04:53.:05:00.

tomorrow. Alcohol is still killing 20 people a

:05:01.:05:04.

week on average in Scotland. Although there has been a fall in

:05:05.:05:08.

drink related deaths, NHS Scotland says a further number of people per

:05:09.:05:14.

week require hospital treatment. It is calling for more to be done to

:05:15.:05:17.

tackle the problem. Scotland has a destructive and

:05:18.:05:23.

disappointing relationship with Scotland. We have said that on this

:05:24.:05:26.

programme time and time again and now can you figure is to quantify

:05:27.:05:34.

that. Each week, 20 deaths can be attributed to alcohol related

:05:35.:05:37.

courses. There are 500 hospital admissions a week. That gives a

:05:38.:05:43.

total of 26,000 each year in hospital because of drink. Now look

:05:44.:05:47.

at this graph. It shows the alcohol-related death rates in

:05:48.:05:51.

Scotland. Compared to England. They rose steadily until the start of the

:05:52.:05:55.

last decade and then they began to fall away. It shows that the number

:05:56.:06:00.

of Scottish men who are dying remains about 70% higher than that

:06:01.:06:05.

of English men. Affordability of drink remained a major issue.

:06:06.:06:12.

Karen is a statistic, admitted to hospital because of alcohol. She has

:06:13.:06:19.

liver damage. I would get three bottles of cider, three times three

:06:20.:06:25.

litres, nine litres of cider. I would just start drinking them, but

:06:26.:06:33.

I would not just super way. -- I would not just sit them slowly. Then

:06:34.:06:38.

someone else would come to the door and it would be another two or

:06:39.:06:45.

three. Now, at 26, she is in rehabilitation, trying to get her

:06:46.:06:48.

life back together. For Karen and others, alcohol has never been more

:06:49.:06:54.

affordable all available. And with Scots buying much more alcohol per

:06:55.:06:59.

head than in England and Wales, that exacerbates the problem,

:07:00.:07:03.

particularly for young women. Women 25 to 44, for then we have seen

:07:04.:07:11.

alcohol-related discharges go up, because of alcoholic liver disease.

:07:12.:07:16.

The harm caused by alcohol is a reason the Scottish Government is

:07:17.:07:19.

determined to press ahead with its plans to introduce a minimum price

:07:20.:07:24.

for alcohol, 50p per unit, forcing up the price of cheap cider and

:07:25.:07:27.

spirits, drinks which cause the most damage. The key issue to breaking

:07:28.:07:33.

the back of this problem is to deal with the price of alcohol. If the

:07:34.:07:36.

price is out with the range of people to buy out Dell wallet

:07:37.:07:43.

alcohol, -- to buy alcohol, consumption will go down. Today the

:07:44.:07:54.

Association launched an action fund to offer cash for organisations

:07:55.:07:58.

working to reduce the impact of alcohol-related harm. Today's

:07:59.:08:03.

reports from managers Scotland suggest one reason by alcohol

:08:04.:08:07.

consumption is falling maybe the recession, but researchers warn that

:08:08.:08:10.

if the economy improves conception may go back up, and ministers said

:08:11.:08:16.

this suggests their minimum alcohol pricing policy is desperately

:08:17.:08:18.

needed. Still to come: A resurgence for

:08:19.:08:28.

Scotland's small harbours. In sport, Celtic have banned 128 fans

:08:29.:08:32.

after scenes at Motherwell which have been described as shameful and

:08:33.:08:37.

an embarrassment. And Lynsey Sharp has still not received the European

:08:38.:08:41.

medal that is rightfully hers. A Russian drinks sheet denied her hers

:08:42.:08:49.

but officials are slow off the mark to correct things.

:08:50.:08:52.

The Scottish Parliament's Presiding Officer has recommended that in the

:08:53.:08:56.

formal link between MSPs' and MPs but not pay. The move is designed to

:08:57.:09:02.

avoid the MSPs being given the same 11% pay rise as their Westminster

:09:03.:09:06.

counterparts. Report is at Holyrood. What being proposed? Since 2002,

:09:07.:09:13.

there has been that formal link between MSPs' pay here at Holyrood

:09:14.:09:18.

and at Westminster MPs' pay. What they are looking to do is to avoid

:09:19.:09:24.

that in 11% proposed rise that would go ahead here at Holyrood if nothing

:09:25.:09:30.

changed. Today politicians in here are acutely aware of just how

:09:31.:09:33.

unpopular such a rise would be among the population as a whole, and so

:09:34.:09:39.

today the Presiding Officer put forward a fresh proposal, the idea

:09:40.:09:42.

to cut this link twin Holyrood and Westminster, and instead to link any

:09:43.:09:52.

future rise in MSPs' basic salary directly to public sector pay more

:09:53.:09:56.

generally. She says it is the right thing to do. I think it would be

:09:57.:10:03.

totally unacceptable for MSPs to take a rise of that magnitude.

:10:04.:10:08.

Particularly when we are in a period of economic restraint where the

:10:09.:10:14.

public sector wages have been held down, where people are struggling to

:10:15.:10:22.

make ends meet. People who are struggling our own constituents.

:10:23.:10:27.

These proposals have been settled on following cross-party discussions.

:10:28.:10:31.

They have the support of the party leader. More widely, the Presiding

:10:32.:10:35.

Officer says she believes they have the support of the MSPs in general

:10:36.:10:39.

across the chamber. The true test of that is expected to come early next

:10:40.:10:43.

year when a resolution is put before the parliament and MSPs have a

:10:44.:10:45.

chance to debate on it and ultimately to vote on it.

:10:46.:10:52.

Some of Scotland's small harbours are enjoying a resurgence after

:10:53.:11:00.

decades of bandages. Efforts to... Our business correspondent reports

:11:01.:11:07.

from Kircaldy. For decades, Kircaldy Harbour was out of business. Now it

:11:08.:11:14.

is thriving once more. This coastal freighter at steam in of the North

:11:25.:11:29.

away. I always like to look at the walls as I go in and out because

:11:30.:11:34.

these were obviously built a long time ago and that gives you some

:11:35.:11:38.

sort of feeling of maybe the different ships coming here and

:11:39.:11:41.

probably sailing ships, that you are still doing it feels rather nice.

:11:42.:11:48.

Every ten days or so, a ship like this ties up alongside the port here

:11:49.:11:53.

in Kircaldy. And then the unloading begins. 2000 tonnes of wheat every

:11:54.:11:57.

time from as far afield as Russia and Canada. The wheat is brought in

:11:58.:12:07.

to Carr's Flour Mills. This place is brand-new and it is

:12:08.:12:11.

state-of-the-art. Here the wheat is ground up and sifted, each day it

:12:12.:12:18.

makes enough flour for 750,000 loaves of bread. And it has been

:12:19.:12:22.

built here by the harbour for a very good reason. There is good wheat

:12:23.:12:28.

growing in Scotland at not necessarily for bread. It does a

:12:29.:12:32.

great job for biscuits and pastries and that kind of thing. The bread

:12:33.:12:38.

wheat needs more sunshine and a more reliable harvest, so the ability to

:12:39.:12:41.

bring it directly into the mill by ship is incredibly important. The

:12:42.:12:46.

tide has turned reporter Cordy thanks to the new flour mill and the

:12:47.:12:51.

people who operate the sport think there is a chance for other

:12:52.:12:56.

harbours, too. I think that over the next 12 months or so we will see

:12:57.:13:00.

more freight building in and calling into the likes of Kircaldy or

Grangemouth. Sub is growing pressure to keep heavy goods off our roads

:13:07.:13:12.

these new ports provide extra options. -- soap with growing

:13:13.:13:28.

pressure. Final preparations are being made to

:13:29.:13:32.

pull the first giant sections of the new Queensferry Crossing into place.

:13:33.:13:35.

The work is under budget and on schedule. The entire project will

:13:36.:13:39.

cost up to ?1.45 billion and the new crossing is due to open in 2016.

:13:40.:13:43.

Another ?6 million is to be spent on increasing the amount of PE taught

:13:44.:13:46.

in schools. The Sports Minister made the announcement during a visit to a

:13:47.:13:49.

Dundee primary. The Government wants all primary schools to offer at

:13:50.:13:53.

least two hours of PE a week by June next year. The last figures showed

:13:54.:14:00.

that 89% of all schools were delivering that target. We want to

:14:01.:14:03.

complete that journey and the money is helping with some of the

:14:04.:14:07.

practical barriers making sure that staff are able to be trained,

:14:08.:14:10.

particularly classroom teachers. Islanders in Coll are celebrating

:14:11.:14:13.

being awarded dark skies status for being a perfect spot for stargazers.

:14:14.:14:16.

The Hebridean island now joins the Galloway forest as Scotland's second

:14:17.:14:20.

dark skies location. The nearest lamp post is 20 miles away on the

:14:21.:14:26.

neighbouring island of Mull. Sightings of a rare mountain bird

:14:27.:14:29.

have almost halved in the last 25 years. The RSPB says just 423

:14:30.:14:33.

breeding male dotterels were found in 2011, down from nearly a thousand

:14:34.:14:41.

in 1988. Two thirds of the British population of the birds are found in

:14:42.:14:45.

the Cairngorms. And there are more stories from your

:14:46.:14:49.

area, and all the latest news on BBC Scotland's website.

:14:50.:15:03.

Tomorrow in Stockholm, Professor Peter Higgs of Edinburgh University

:15:04.:15:06.

will receive the Nobel Prize for Physics. It's almost 50 years since

:15:07.:15:09.

he proposed the fundamental particle which now bears his name. But it's

:15:10.:15:13.

just two years since the Higgs Boson was found. Tonight on BBC Two

:15:14.:15:15.

Scotland, a documentary will bring the story up to date. Our science

:15:16.:15:18.

correspondent Kenneth Macdonald has been hearing from Peter Higgs and

:15:19.:15:22.

from some of the Swedes behind the prize.

:15:23.:15:24.

He has come a long way. From a brilliant idea in Edinburgh to the

:15:25.:15:33.

Swedish capital and the Nobel prize. Here we have the Royal Swedish

:15:34.:15:37.

Academy of scientists. That is the exact desk.

:15:38.:15:44.

Professor Peter Higgs, the University of Edinburgh.

:15:45.:15:48.

So, what does the Nobel Prize say about Peter Higgs?

:15:49.:15:51.

It says that he is definitely one of the most important figures in

:15:52.:15:57.

physics and, of course, his discovery of this brilliant particle

:15:58.:16:05.

named after him, that is a very interesting theory. It wasn't proven

:16:06.:16:10.

until last year, when they found the article.

:16:11.:16:17.

This is Nobel prize week. Exhibitions leading up until the

:16:18.:16:19.

ceremony. You feel as if you are at a wedding.

:16:20.:16:27.

It is a life altering day. You get a real feel for that.

:16:28.:16:32.

Peter Higgs will receive his Nobel Prize here. Almost 50 years ago, he

:16:33.:16:39.

described how the blocks of matter acquired their mass. It took him

:16:40.:16:43.

years to prove that, and his ideas dried science forward.

:16:44.:16:48.

But, just for a moment, everything will pause as Peter Higgs goes to

:16:49.:16:54.

this stage to receive this accolade. What will he be thinking?

:16:55.:17:01.

I will probably remember a Swedish film that I saw back in the 1950s

:17:02.:17:07.

that I found very moving. It was about an elderly Swedish professor

:17:08.:17:12.

who was travelling to the capital to receive an award and remembering

:17:13.:17:17.

things from his youth. I will probably feel the same way.

:17:18.:17:23.

And you can see more on that tonight on Peter Higgs: Scotland's Nobel

:17:24.:17:25.

Winner, 10pm tonight on BBC Two Scotland.

:17:26.:17:40.

Now, here is the sports news. Celtic have banned 128 fans after

:17:41.:17:43.

the trouble at Motherwell on Friday night. It follows scenes described

:17:44.:17:47.

by the League as "shameful" and by Celtic themselves as an

:17:48.:17:49.

"embarrassment". Thousands of pounds worth of damage was caused by Celtic

:17:50.:17:52.

fans, who also threw fireworks and smoke bombs.

:17:53.:18:00.

Friday night football up in smoke. On an evening Celtic's reputation

:18:01.:18:05.

and Motherwell's ground were damaged. Over 100 fans did not sit

:18:06.:18:11.

where they were supposed to, breaking seats and costing thousands

:18:12.:18:14.

of pounds worth of damage. Motherwell have denounced -- denied

:18:15.:18:22.

permission to show pictures of the scene, because it is now a crime

:18:23.:18:28.

scene. But fireworks and a smoke flare was set off. Significant

:18:29.:18:33.

damage has been done and a full investigation is now under way.

:18:34.:18:37.

Motherwell have to comment. What about Celtic?

:18:38.:18:43.

Here, the action has been swift and decisive. Celtic have banned 128

:18:44.:18:47.

supporters from home and away matches. They have split up the

:18:48.:18:53.

section of the home support by relocating 250 season-ticket

:18:54.:18:57.

holders. They have issued a statement saying that the events of

:18:58.:19:02.

Friday night were an embarrassment and totally indefensible. Some fans

:19:03.:19:05.

who were there agree with the strong action.

:19:06.:19:10.

It was shocking. You cannot have that at football. There were people

:19:11.:19:13.

leaving with their children, because it was not safe.

:19:14.:19:17.

Celtic is one of the best clubs to support, and its knees look after

:19:18.:19:25.

its reputation. There could be a European punishment

:19:26.:19:34.

brought to. European 800 metres Champion Lynsey

:19:35.:19:37.

Sharp has told BBC Scotland that she's still waiting to receive her

:19:38.:19:40.

Gold medal from the Championships. Sharp was upgraded from silver after

:19:41.:19:43.

the Russian winner was found to have been a drugs cheat. The Scot feels

:19:44.:19:47.

European Athletics may be trying to 'deal with the situation quietly.

:19:48.:19:49.

Our Commonwealth Games Reporter Jane Lewis has more.

:19:50.:19:56.

And Lynsey Sharp is finishing incredibly quickly?

:19:57.:20:03.

The results were declared in June, but I have heard nothing. I think it

:20:04.:20:08.

is the athletics body who have decided.

:20:09.:20:12.

Lynsey Sharp is playing the waiting game. After finishing second, the

:20:13.:20:18.

Russian was subsequently banned for doping, so the gold went to Lynsey

:20:19.:20:23.

Sharp. I have heard about people getting

:20:24.:20:27.

their medals delivered in an envelope through the door. I don't

:20:28.:20:32.

know if the sport is not proud about it, so they are trying to do it

:20:33.:20:36.

quietly, or whether it is Administration. I don't know.

:20:37.:20:42.

UK Athletics are aware of the situation and say they are working

:20:43.:20:47.

to resolve it. They say that they have had positive discussions to

:20:48.:20:49.

make sure that she recovers the metal at the appropriate time and

:20:50.:20:54.

place. European athletics have made no

:20:55.:20:59.

comment about this today, but Lynsey Sharp is remaining hopeful.

:21:00.:21:02.

To hear about people being banned and people being upgraded is one

:21:03.:21:06.

thing, but it will feel different when I have the medal. I will be

:21:07.:21:17.

able to tell the story. And here is more sport.

:21:18.:21:25.

The unbeaten American Terence Crawford will challenge Ricky Burns

:21:26.:21:28.

for the world title in February. Burns had hoped for a rematch

:21:29.:21:31.

against Raymundo Beltran for the WBO lightweight belt, but authorities

:21:32.:21:33.

insisted on Crawford, the mandatory challenger.

:21:34.:21:35.

Scottish trio Callum Hawkins, Rhona Auckland and Steph Twell all claimed

:21:36.:21:39.

gold medals in the Team event at the European Cross Country Championships

:21:40.:21:41.

in Belgrade. Hawkins and Auckland were in Team GB under 23s and Twell

:21:42.:21:46.

in the senior event. The Under-20 Ice Hockey World

:21:47.:21:49.

Championships opened in Dumfries today with Kazakhstan versus

:21:50.:21:53.

Ukraine. Six nations are competing in the division with promotion and

:21:54.:21:57.

relegation at stake. Team GB, with Rod Stewart's son Liam in the ranks,

:21:58.:22:02.

play Italy tonight. Scotland's Daniel Purvis has shown

:22:03.:22:04.

his Commonwealth Games preparations are flying high. He narrowly missed

:22:05.:22:09.

out on the gold medal for the Mens All Around Title against world class

:22:10.:22:12.

opposition at the Glasgow World Cup. He can't wait for Glasgow 2014.

Competing in the Hydro will be unreal. I saw it yesterday, and I

:22:26.:22:29.

think it will be like the Olympic Games all over again, with the whole

:22:30.:22:32.

crowd. I can't wait. And there are more sports stories,

:22:33.:22:36.

plus all the latest news, 24 hours a18:50 09/12/2013 day on BBC Sport

:22:37.:22:38.

Scotland's website. Now, a heart-warming Christmas tale.

:22:39.:22:53.

A business on Speyside has opened its doors to provide food and

:22:54.:22:56.

shelter to a homeless local resident, who is fast becoming a bit

:22:57.:23:00.

of a celebrity. Craig Anderson has been to meet him.

:23:01.:23:04.

It is the ideal Christmas story to bring festive cheer. Robin decides

:23:05.:23:11.

to make his home amongst the seasonal display at this shop. And

:23:12.:23:19.

he is in fine voice. He moved in two weeks ago.

:23:20.:23:24.

He used to come in every day, and then he stopped overnight and he has

:23:25.:23:28.

been here every sense. He has his own little birdbath and we feed him.

:23:29.:23:35.

He is in every night. He used to sit outside on our sign and the flowers,

:23:36.:23:40.

singing to customers, and then, one day, she came through the door.

:23:41.:23:48.

Batman's now become a site in the store, and with plenty of purchases

:23:49.:23:55.

to choose from, he has become a hit with customers as well. He seems

:23:56.:23:59.

quite happy. He sings in the window. People come

:24:00.:24:05.

and take photographs of him. He is a celebrity. We have to show people

:24:06.:24:13.

that we have a Robin here. Robins are fiercely territorial, so

:24:14.:24:17.

he would not want another bird coming into his patch. Now having

:24:18.:24:23.

found his free accommodation, he won't be tweeting about it.

:24:24.:24:33.

It is Christmas, isn't it? But not Christmas like whether?

:24:34.:24:42.

Yes, it is very mild today. It is quite a settled picture, but there

:24:43.:24:53.

is also a breeze. This air pressure across the continent is exerting

:24:54.:24:58.

this weather, and it is pouring this over the country. That is why we

:24:59.:25:02.

have mild temperatures. It will be quite a cloudy night, though there

:25:03.:25:08.

will be some breaks over eastern Scotland. There will be some rain in

:25:09.:25:13.

the West, but quite a breezy night, a strong winds on the West coach --

:25:14.:25:20.

coast, with temperatures on the mild side.

:25:21.:25:24.

Tomorrow, a mild, breezy start of the day. The cloud will continue to

:25:25.:25:28.

break up in the breeze. We will see some rain across the West. In the

:25:29.:25:34.

afternoon, there will be some dry conditions, or with sunshine coming

:25:35.:25:39.

through here. I am hopeful for some sunshine in

:25:40.:25:45.

the Ayrshire coast. There will be brightness in the Glasgow area.

:25:46.:25:49.

Potentially some patchy rain for Argyle. It will be drier for the

:25:50.:25:56.

Northwest Highlands. It will be quite mild on the islands. I think

:25:57.:26:03.

we will see some sunny spells for Inverness and Fife, Edinburgh, down

:26:04.:26:09.

towards the Borders. The temperatures are very much on the

:26:10.:26:13.

mild side. As far as the rest of the afternoon

:26:14.:26:17.

is concerned, we will see some of the rain in the West. It will stay

:26:18.:26:24.

on the breezy side. On Wednesday, a lot of dry weather. Quite a sunny

:26:25.:26:29.

day, especially in central Scotland, but also on the breezy side. We will

:26:30.:26:34.

start to see a change, rain crossing the country, but it does stay mild.

:26:35.:26:46.

A reminder of tonight's menus. A preliminary report into the

:26:47.:26:53.

helicopter accident in Glasgow has started. And the funerals of some of

:26:54.:27:04.

the people who died. One of the men accused of murdering

:27:05.:27:08.

Fusilier Lee Rigby on the streets of London in May has been describing

:27:09.:27:11.

how he chose his victim and then killed him. 28-year-old Michael

:27:12.:27:14.

Adebolajo, a Muslim convert from Essex and a father of six, told the

:27:15.:27:18.

Old Bailey he was a soldier of Allah and blamed Lee Rigby's death on UK

:27:19.:27:20.

foreign policy. Alcohol is still killing 20 people a

:27:21.:27:23.

week on average in Scotland. Although there has been a fall in

:27:24.:27:26.

drink related deaths. A further 700 people a week require hospital

:27:27.:27:30.

treatment. That is all from us for now. I will

:27:31.:27:37.

be back with the headlines at eight me for that. From everyone on the

:27:38.:27:41.

team, goodbye.
