Good evening. The Justice Secretary has promised he will not

"cash-limit" access to justice if corroboration is abolished. No cap

would be placed on the thousands of extra cases that could come to

court. Abolishing corroboration is designed to secure more prosecutions

for sexual offences. But representatives of the procurators

fiscal believe they'd struggle to cope without extra resources. Here's

Andrew Kerr. It has been a difficult week for the justice secretary who

wants to up Lashkar robber oration. -- abolish corroboration. But the

justice committee said they did not support the change and are backed by

the majority of judges. The procurators fiscal said they are

already struggling with a workload and it would get worse. Nobody can

get a handle on harmony cases it is going to be. What the additional

workload will be. What is clear is that our members and staff in the

fiscal service are already under pressure. And even a relatively

small number of additional cases will create further pressure. One

source said that the system wasn't creaking, but croaking. The justice

secretary told the BBC there would not be a capped rate cash limit on

justice. He said as many cases should be brought forward as need

be. I will not say to a victim of rape, a child who has been abused,

that is just tough. You are a victim of a crime where we cannot get

access to justice. We will guarantee that people have access to justice.

Supporters of the plans agree that the move would help widen access to

justice for victims of rape and violent abuse cases in particular. A

commission will look into what safeguards are needed to prevent

miscarriages of justice. Parents who claim their babies'

ashes weren't disposed of correctly in Aberdeen are taking legal action

against the city council. BBC Scotland revealed last year that no

ashes had been offered to the families of infants cremated at

Hazlehead Crematorium over a five-year period. The council found

no wrongdoing. Police are anxious to trace a

missing 12-year-old boy from Inverness. Thomas Healy was last

seen yesterday, is five foot tall, well built, with short hair and

brown eyes. He may be carrying a skateboard.

Police are investigating after threatening mail was sent to

Aberdeen football club, following allegations of abuse directed at

Celtic manager Neil Lennon. Mr Lennon said he was verbally abused

and had a coin thrown at him as he watched the League Cup semifinal

last Saturday when Aberdeen beat St Johnstone.

On the pitch, Dundee United beat St Mirren 2-1 to make it to the quarter

finals of the Scottish Cup. Ryan Gauld put United ahead in the 21st
