time for the Good afternoon. The agony has

continued for Livingston speed skater Elise Christie at the Winter

Olympics in Sochi. The 23-year-old has been disqualified from a second

event. And she says she's been subjected to internet abuse since

she lost out on a medal, after causing a collision in Thursday's

500 metres final. This morning, Christie appeared to have made it to

the final of the 1500 metres after a photo finish in the qualifying

heats. But she was eliminated when officials ruled she had failed to

cross the finish line, missing it by a centimetre. The decision left her

bewildered. It was going to be a close first or second but it was

going to be a qualifier. I was playing safe, trying not to touch

anyone. I don't have a clue what has happened. I am gobsmacked. I mean, I

expected this decision the other day but today I have no idea what is

going on. I have had a few people threatening me and stuff like that.

Just cyber bullying basically, but it has been a tough few days anyway.

Big Country will headline a benefit gig later for victims of the Clutha

Bar helicopter tragedy. Other acts performing at the Glasgow Barrowland

include Alabama three, the Primevals and James King and the Lonewolves.

The organisers say the concert will include some special, unique, items

too. All the family is that we can get a hold of have been invited and

a few of them are coming. John McGarrigle, who sadly past away, his

poetry will be read out with the blessing of his family. They will be

here, and Scott pedant came on board. He will be playing a fabulous

song. To walkers who went missing near the summit of Ben Nevis have

been found safe. The pair had become disorientated in appalling weather

conditions. -- two walkers who went missing. With strong winds and

further snow expected across much of Scotland, hill walkers, climbers and

skiers are being urged to be vigilant - and to check weather and

avalanche reports before venturing out.

More in the way of sunshine and we have had a late, particularly

tomorrow, some sunshine. This afternoon, low pull into the

north-east, we are pulling in a strong north-westerly. That will

bring showers into the North and West, snow on hills and higher-level

road but for most of southern, central and eastern Scotland, dry

and bright with some decent spells of sunshine. 506 Celsius but it will

feel colder indoor strong north-westerly winds, touching gale

force in northern and western coasts. If you're heading to the

date of this afternoon, the chance of a shower rod of iron or not and

West you are, some heavy ones likely over Inverness. -- the chance of a

shower the further east and west you are. It will feel cold and the

strong winds. This evening, under clear skies it will turn cold. A

yellow be aware warning from the Met Office for the risk of ice on

untreated surfaces as temperatures dipped close to or low freezing. It

is still windy on northern and western coast. It is wintry in the

hills. Tomorrow, after a cold start, a lot of dry, bright weather, good

spells of sunshine, much lighter winds and showers confined to the
