Good afternoon. A meeting is taking place for

parents of an Aberdeen private school closed down by the Scottish

government amid concerns for the children's safety. Inspectors

delivered a damning verdict on the Hamilton school, a month after

allegations about the care of children first emerged.

Around 300 parents and children turned up for this meeting. Still

recovering from the shop yesterday of their private Hamilton school

being closed down by the Scottish government. Education inspectors

went into the school and decided the children were not safe. The minister

responsible said he had no option but to close the school. That has

repercussions obviously. At the meeting this morning, the council is

outlining two periods where their children can go to school on Monday.

The air opening up a primary school to the west of the city which will

be catering for 120 children. This is still very raw in the reports are

very damning and also the timescale to find alternative education for

their children over the weekend. Members of one of Scotland's's

biggest unions will vote later on weather they should back either side

of the independence debate. The Public and Commercial Services Union

are debating the issue at its conference in Glasgow. The PCS

represents around 30,000 civil servants in Scotland. Two of its

biggest branches have already voted to back a yes vote. Other unions

including the GMB and ASLEF support the no campaign. If the PCS does

decide to back the Yes Campaign, it will be the first trade union to do

so. The Queen will officially named the

Royal Navy's new aircraft carrier HMS Queen Elizabeth at a ceremony in

Scotland this summer. The ceremony will be held on four July at Rosyth

dockyard in Fife, where work to assemble the vessel is being

completed. The 65,000 tonne ship will be named with the traditional

champagne christening. Football, and there are five games

and Scottish Premiership is afternoon.

Celtic kick off in just over half an hour, away at Hearts. Partick

Thistle host Aberdeen. St Mirren make the trip north to face Ross

County and St Johnstone face Inverness Caley Thistle. Rugby and

Scotland must win a match in Rome today in what is seen as a likely

wooden spoon decider. Both Scotland and Italy are without
