It is a limb here which means it is nearly Christmas. Behind this tour,

:00:41.:00:51.
:00:51.:00:54.

a tiny pony called Jack. He is 20 and retires this year. He has

:00:54.:00:59.

taught them how to be jockeys. This show is about all-round

:00:59.:01:03.

horsemanship and this box celebrates the success at the

:01:03.:01:06.

Olympics and Paralympics. Never before has Britain won so many

:01:06.:01:12.

medals. A team gold in the show jumping, two gold medals in

:01:12.:01:18.

dressage. A team silver in eventing. Plenty to look back on and reflect

:01:18.:01:28.
:01:28.:01:52.

That is a great start. That is good Zara Phillips absolutely screaming

:01:52.:02:02.
:02:02.:02:09.

out of the arena. Wow! Move on, Tina. Silver the Great Britain! It

:02:09.:02:19.
:02:19.:02:24.

is given us so much and it is Nick Skelton at his very best. It

:02:24.:02:33.

is a wait and see game now. This could be the first gold since 1952.

:02:33.:02:39.

Britain has got a gold! Will they see Britain win their first ever

:02:39.:02:46.

dressage medals? This is gold. She has made history. She has made

:02:46.:02:56.

history. Could it be British magic as we come to the final Olympic

:02:56.:03:05.

sport. That is one of the best things I have seen from the British

:03:05.:03:15.
:03:15.:03:23.

rider. Charlotte Dujardin. Going Medals in all three disciplines at

:03:23.:03:30.

the Olympics and the Paralympics, 11 medals in all. Natasha Baker one

:03:30.:03:35.

of two goals, the rain that Brooks Award for Most inspirational and 23

:03:35.:03:44.

right. I spoke to the Paris and pins. Sophie Christiansen, who led

:03:44.:03:49.

the way, how exciting was the experience of London 2012? It was

:03:49.:03:56.

just amazing. To do it in front of the home crowd, the whole country

:03:56.:04:05.

got behind us. You just want to do it again! You might have a chance

:04:05.:04:08.

in Rio but not in front of the home crowd again. What will you remember

:04:08.:04:16.

most? When we went into the arena, the first day, the crowd absolutely

:04:16.:04:20.

went mad as we went in, let alone coming out. That was my stand-out

:04:20.:04:24.

moment, the feeling of support behind us and we haven't done

:04:24.:04:28.

anything, wickets have fallen off but they were so proud to be

:04:28.:04:32.

British and be there. There was mike stand out moment. The standard

:04:32.:04:38.

of competition, Natasha, it is really tough. It really is. We have

:04:38.:04:42.

such strong competition from all of the grades from all over the world.

:04:42.:04:47.

And we have some really amazing horses at the moment, we are really

:04:47.:04:52.

lucky and we can't get complacent. We have to a bid again for Rio.

:04:53.:04:56.

there were you want to be? Definitely! How many Paralympics is

:04:56.:05:03.

that? This is my fourth. And how to this compare in terms of standards

:05:03.:05:12.

and facilities? It has to be the best, there's no doubt about it.

:05:12.:05:16.

Everything from the other games, the Paralympic village was better,

:05:16.:05:21.

more compact and easy to get about, the venues were superb. Every

:05:22.:05:26.

nation in Greenwich said it was the best temporary stabling and they

:05:27.:05:31.

knew they had been in. Everything was superb. Was that the first time

:05:31.:05:37.

he felt this is a parallel event? think it was. The home crowd made

:05:37.:05:42.

it that way. Especially when the press were saying you have seen the

:05:42.:05:49.

best, now be prepared to be amazed with the Paralympics. They got it

:05:49.:05:56.

right. The strap line thanks for the warm-up was clever. Very very

:05:56.:06:02.

clever. Channel 4 did a fantastic job, they put the Paralympics in

:06:02.:06:06.

such a positive way. We were the soup humans and it really put us on

:06:07.:06:11.

an even keel the Olympics. Everyone still had a Olympic fever from a

:06:11.:06:17.

few weeks ago. Everybody's excitement carried on. What is

:06:17.:06:25.

next? We have the Europeans in Denmark, we are getting up to that,

:06:25.:06:28.

taking younger horses out and getting them experienced for Rio

:06:28.:06:34.

and working up to that. It's exciting, new challenges. It is sad

:06:34.:06:39.

2012 is over. We are looking ahead to the future. You are inspiring so

:06:39.:06:44.

many more people. You are very very young. You are making girls and

:06:45.:06:48.

boys younger than you think that's what they want to do, the danger is

:06:48.:06:55.

they are so good you have to keep improving. That's why you're so

:06:55.:07:05.

improve -- impressive because you have improved. Yes, it was amazing.

:07:05.:07:15.
:07:15.:07:16.

The peak of my game, I want to keep it that way for Rio. I like a

:07:16.:07:20.

challenge! You rise to the challenge. Well done to all of you.

:07:20.:07:26.

Thank you for talking to me. That's in the past, this is in the

:07:26.:07:31.

future. Ben Maher is favourite to win the World Cup. He took last

:07:31.:07:41.

year, he is on board Triple X. He has a strong international

:07:41.:07:46.

competitor. We also have individual silver and bronze in a field of 35.

:07:46.:07:50.

We look back at the puissance, the high jumper horses from earlier

:07:50.:07:55.

this week. Ben Maher won last year. We also will be showing you

:07:55.:07:59.

dressage, Charlotte Dujardin Anna taking individual and team gold at

:07:59.:08:05.

the Olympics, she was in action in the freestyle to music. It is the

:08:05.:08:10.

new rave sport in terms of popularity. And let's baby in the

:08:10.:08:15.

golden glow of Greenwich. For the first time in 60 years, the show

:08:15.:08:18.

jumpers won a gold medal and the team gold medallists will be in the

:08:18.:08:28.
:08:28.:08:36.

This is it, backstage at Olympia. We will be showing you the

:08:36.:08:39.

highlights of the other parts that make the show so popular and so

:08:39.:08:44.

special. We start with puissance, it is high jump for horses. The

:08:44.:08:50.

word means power or might all force. It comes from Old English and old

:08:50.:08:55.

French. You want to know what makes a puissance horse, what makes a

:08:55.:09:02.

horse perfect for this discipline? Tim Stockdale explains. The

:09:02.:09:10.

puissance, we call it a test and it is the ultimate test. The key word

:09:10.:09:15.

is courage. They have to be so brave, the wall is intimidating, so

:09:15.:09:19.

big, they must take it on and be powerful and not be worried about

:09:19.:09:27.

it. I do not think there was anything wrong with the approach.

:09:27.:09:31.

The horse panicked. He thought he couldn't do it and gave up.

:09:31.:09:38.

The other think his trust in the rider. They cannot see the landing

:09:38.:09:41.

side so they hope the rider knows it OK so when they take off their

:09:41.:09:47.

land OK. The one thing big difference -- differentiates it is

:09:47.:09:50.

carefulness. The Grand Prix horse is more careful, the puissance

:09:50.:09:55.

horse is braver, willing to take the big fence on. It's a very big

:09:55.:10:02.

fence. 5 ft 10 is the height in the first round. When the horse jumps,

:10:02.:10:08.

he makes a pact with his front legs, a backward squat to push himself

:10:08.:10:13.

upwards, when he gets near the top, he brings the shoulder backwards

:10:13.:10:19.

and rolls over the top of the fence. Perfect approach and he's there.

:10:20.:10:24.

That was the business. And then he lands quite steeply,

:10:24.:10:28.

crates balance, gets organised and canters away. That's how you jump

:10:28.:10:35.

the big fence. Puissance horses come in all shapes and sizes. The

:10:35.:10:39.

rider must be cool. They must not frighten the horses or making

:10:39.:10:46.

nervous. You must position of the horse correctly for take-off,

:10:46.:10:52.

London, short and, get the right. For take-off, six feet away. There

:10:52.:10:57.

we have it, the puissance competition, simple really. You

:10:57.:11:03.

jump it, or you don't. Tim Stockdale back after a broken

:11:03.:11:08.

neck last year. This was Robert Whitaker in the first round. The

:11:08.:11:13.

horses jump two fences before they get to the wall. Robert Whitaker's

:11:13.:11:18.

horse didn't fancy it! The refusal meant he was eliminated and the

:11:18.:11:22.

field of nine was reduced by one as we pick up with commentary from

:11:22.:11:32.
:11:32.:11:59.

ft 4. One thing's for sure, I have never ever jumped anything like

:11:59.:12:06.

that. A not even on the hunting field.

:12:06.:12:16.
:12:16.:12:24.

house all day, world-class driving, water sensation, we have had one

:12:24.:12:31.

world-class competition all ready. The second round of the puissance.

:12:31.:12:39.

She has taken it on. That's the way she does it. Just a little path of

:12:39.:12:47.

the cheeks and eight sigh of relief. I have seen this mare looked more

:12:47.:12:51.

generous. She is running down to it as if she is running into the

:12:51.:12:56.

bottom and almost hesitated but she sat on her hocks and had the

:12:56.:13:00.

decency to push up in the air when she needed to. It makes it harder

:13:00.:13:04.

for her to jump it when she runs in quite so close. She really had to

:13:04.:13:11.

slow herself on the last stride. She is tremendously powerful. This

:13:11.:13:19.

man from Kent, died Williams, a real competitor. As is this lady.

:13:19.:13:23.

Superb against the clock and she said earlier this is not her

:13:23.:13:28.

favourite competition but she will certainly give it her all -- guy

:13:28.:13:38.
:13:38.:13:41.

starts to jump and believe she can go all the way. That was a

:13:41.:13:47.

fantastic jump. The most convincing we have seen. The way this horse

:13:47.:13:52.

jumped. A slightly different technique, a longer stride, not

:13:52.:13:56.

quite getting to the bottom of it. Using the horses range, a big

:13:56.:14:03.

cancer, prefer to be off the fence but making it look comfortable. --

:14:03.:14:13.
:14:13.:14:20.

she still could win the competition, her husband normally tells her what

:14:20.:14:30.
:14:30.:14:34.

to do. Oughtershaw feeling? -- What could win? Yes, if you don't try,

:14:34.:14:40.

you don't know. We will see how those discussions go, John.

:14:40.:14:46.

COMMENTATOR: This man has had a very good autumn season on the

:14:46.:14:56.
:14:56.:14:59.

indoor shows. I wonder whether you can remember the Rock. Just old

:15:00.:15:05.

enough. I know what you're going to tell me, short trousers, I know.

:15:05.:15:11.

That was against the late Alan Oliver and others. Now, can Italy

:15:11.:15:19.

jump into the spotlight. This horse is very strange with its front end

:15:19.:15:27.

action. Oh dear! That was a scary one again. A different jump, but

:15:27.:15:33.

Luca is loving every minute of it. Look at the smile on his face, he

:15:33.:15:40.

is enjoying himself. But he instils so much confidence into his horses,

:15:40.:15:49.

the way he rides them. He stand off too far. A big, wild scary jump sh

:15:49.:15:59.
:15:59.:16:00.

but getting in the air. This used to be a competition that was part

:16:00.:16:06.

of European mainland scene and not Britain's. Now the roles are

:16:06.:16:12.

reversed. The British are very competitive in puissance now.

:16:12.:16:22.
:16:22.:16:37.

little touch in front. I think John got him close to make the horse use

:16:37.:16:40.

his shoulders, he says the competition is about schooling his

:16:40.:16:44.

horse, to get it in the air, in preparation for the World Cup. You

:16:44.:16:51.

just see, just caught it slightly in front. But made hymn use his

:16:51.:16:58.

body and I think John will be pleased with that. I doubt John

:16:58.:17:04.

will come back for the next round. Kpwrou never know if he smif -- but

:17:04.:17:14.
:17:14.:17:17.

you never know if he smif -- sniffs some prize money! Tim Stockdale.

:17:17.:17:25.

The memory i of Tim this year is jumping at royal Windsor horse show

:17:25.:17:30.

in May and he had a nasty fall as she was finishing. That was his

:17:30.:17:34.

first fall after breaking his neck. He got up and realised everything

:17:34.:17:38.

was work. That was the moment he thought I'm going to have another

:17:38.:17:48.
:17:48.:18:13.

back end away. Got the approach he wanted. He should have jumped it.

:18:13.:18:18.

That is really disappointing for Tim. Got the shoulders and the

:18:18.:18:25.

front legs nicely away. And just did it a bit stiff in his back. A

:18:25.:18:30.

lovely calm approach. Took off in exactly the right place. Jumped a

:18:30.:18:36.

bit to the left. Just look at the head-on. Snaked a bit to the left.

:18:36.:18:46.
:18:46.:18:48.

That was bad luck. It is a shame to have lost Tim so soon, but you're

:18:48.:18:52.

riding again, this time last year you had your neck in a brace.

:18:53.:18:57.

would have to have the wide angles on. It is nice to be back. But

:18:57.:19:02.

you're right I'm disappoint. I he did his hard work, jumped well in

:19:02.:19:06.

front and kept his back straight and tipped it off the wrong way. We

:19:06.:19:11.

want him to tip over and release the back end. We did the hard work

:19:11.:19:17.

and a silly fault. Will we see you later? Yes the horse did brilliant

:19:17.:19:22.

this afternoon and it is teaming up nicely for World Cup and that horse

:19:22.:19:28.

is a nice six-bar horse. There will be plenty of people cheering you

:19:28.:19:37.

here, nice to see you again. So Tim Stockdale is gone. Four through at

:19:37.:19:43.

the moment. We now learn that John Whitaker is not going to go into

:19:43.:19:49.

round three. I think we put a lot of money on that! We have got three

:19:49.:19:59.
:19:59.:20:03.

at the moment going through. Now Michael Whitaker. This is Ingliston

:20:03.:20:13.
:20:13.:20:24.

more from Michael. Yes and the family will be watching this.

:20:24.:20:31.

Matt's dad died earlier in the year and John Llany, the Llany family

:20:32.:20:37.

have done so much for British show jumping. That is the approach, a

:20:37.:20:41.

exactly into the right place and he kept the horse's body straight in

:20:41.:20:46.

the air. He is not too bad a rider, Michael, isn't he? He is getting

:20:46.:20:52.

the hang of it! That was brilliant. Peach of a stride, perfect rhythm.

:20:52.:21:00.

That is the way to do it. So four through to round three. That will

:21:00.:21:09.

be the next round and we have still got two to come. Ben Maher and Will

:21:09.:21:19.
:21:19.:21:22.

funnel. Just going back to the Llany family, they are sorpblted --

:21:22.:21:29.

associated with the other great family in British show jumping. A

:21:29.:21:34.

win for Michael Whitaker would be a lovely touch for British

:21:34.:21:44.
:21:44.:22:08.

wall there. In the first round he approach and surprised the horse.

:22:08.:22:12.

Wow! What a piece of riding! He went right up to the top corner and

:22:12.:22:18.

cut in, so the horse couldn't think about dodging. That is an amazing

:22:18.:22:22.

piece of rider. He is a real thinker. He has worked out the

:22:22.:22:27.

right plan. And had no chance to look at the wall and get a wobble

:22:27.:22:37.

on. That was incredible. He won in 2010 and Michael Whitaker was third

:22:37.:22:44.

with CyberSpace. Will the battle be between them stkph The jump he

:22:44.:22:52.

produced by coming in on theage was perfect. What a tactic. Now Willie

:22:53.:23:02.
:23:03.:23:35.

with just three days' riding he adopted what you could daul the

:23:36.:23:41.

safety seat. He nearly put the brakes on. I think probably Will

:23:41.:23:49.

will be happy to call ate day. think he is ready to go and have a

:23:49.:23:53.

beer tonight. That was a hair- raising moment. But no harm done.

:23:53.:23:57.

He kept his balance beautifully. His stride there, the horse decided

:23:57.:24:02.

he didn't want to go and Will said, come on, and he ended up as a

:24:02.:24:08.

result way too far off. He had no chance of jumping it. The horse was

:24:08.:24:13.

honest to go. He was honest to jump. He was a long way off. Will

:24:13.:24:17.

realised that, you watch him sit back. Took one hand off the reins

:24:17.:24:21.

to keep his balance. Let's have another look at this. Half a length

:24:21.:24:30.

off in the end. The wall did stand at 6 foot 4. It is now being raised.

:24:31.:24:35.

Bob is the course designer. He makes the call. How high are we

:24:35.:24:44.

going? 6 foot 8. Do you have a figure of how many horses are

:24:44.:24:50.

capable of jumping this height? you make an assessment and there is

:24:50.:24:55.

one twor could go quite a long way. I think we will get over 7 foot.

:24:55.:25:03.

Maybe 7 foot 2. I hope. It is big enough. You wouldn't want to gallop

:25:03.:25:11.

into this wall, even if it is collapsible. A massive fence.

:25:11.:25:21.
:25:21.:25:25.

here are the ones to do battle in the sec jump off. Round three. I

:25:25.:25:33.

think Laura Renwick will stick in. Luca Moneta for Italy. What is your

:25:33.:25:38.

favourite? It is wide-open. If Ben can keep his horse straight. He is

:25:38.:25:43.

the one with the biggest jump. Maybe that tactic will work. He is

:25:43.:25:49.

possibly the favourite. But don't discount Ritchie Rich. I remember

:25:49.:25:59.
:25:59.:26:00.

when guy won his first puissance on a horse called Oona. Guy took the

:26:00.:26:06.

horse up and took it over the win.: there is no rider that can instil

:26:06.:26:16.
:26:16.:26:47.

more confidence into a horse than took it on. That is a surprise. I

:26:47.:26:51.

think Guy's approach was better than time than the round before. He

:26:52.:26:56.

ran into the bottom and she didn't get her shoulders up. If you look

:26:56.:27:02.

where he took off. It was a good take off. Maybe a fraction cles, --

:27:02.:27:07.

close, but that is where he was last time. Didn't push up in the

:27:08.:27:17.

air enough. Just a bit too quick possibly on the way down. That last

:27:17.:27:22.

stride, tiny bit short. But you would say that's where she normally

:27:22.:27:31.

gets too. But she didn't make the jump. It is 6 foot 8. It is no

:27:31.:27:38.

small fence. And I'm surprised we are at 6 foot 8 in round three.

:27:38.:27:44.

it is a big fence. Once you get past 6 foot 6, it does make a big

:27:44.:27:54.
:27:54.:27:55.

difference. Laura Renwick then. On Roller Coaster. There would be a

:27:55.:28:05.
:28:05.:28:27.

lot of support from this lady in better and this horse is so brave.

:28:27.:28:32.

You can see on the way down, never ever thinking about trying to dodge

:28:32.:28:38.

out of the fence. Only one thought on Roller Coaster's mind and that

:28:38.:28:42.

is getting in the air and jumping the fence. Sthe jumped three rounds

:28:43.:28:47.

last year and then called it a day. Will she go again? A bit off the

:28:47.:28:52.

fence, but that is where the horse likes to be. Jumping slightly to

:28:52.:29:02.
:29:02.:29:12.

the right. But again making a how long can she go on doing it as

:29:12.:29:16.

the war goes up? She needs to be fractionally closer in the next

:29:16.:29:26.
:29:26.:29:28.

round. Smiling already. I am impressed by this man. He really

:29:28.:29:34.

enjoys his jumping. The smile on his face, you get the impression

:29:34.:29:39.

what will happen next? Some of the riders looks a serious and he has a

:29:39.:29:48.

big grin on his face, like he is having fun. She has done a couple

:29:48.:29:54.

of strange jumps so far. Let's look at this one. Very fast. Another

:29:54.:30:00.

strange, we to jump all over the place. But in the end too much

:30:00.:30:05.

speed. Could not quite stay in the air with that much pace. He is

:30:05.:30:13.

grinning even more. He is loving his time here. Fantastic. The

:30:13.:30:20.

riders love coming here. We have the world's top eight riders, eight

out of the top 10. We have the best field we have ever had here. He has

:30:26.:30:31.

come down way too fast. A long way off. All sorts of things happening,

:30:31.:30:37.

twisting, turning, legs everywhere. He was not smiling over the top of

:30:37.:30:45.

the fence. I think it is relief afterwards. He is sitting backwards

:30:45.:30:51.

over the top of the fence hanging on for dear life. Look at his face.

:30:51.:30:58.

He has had fun. It's all good fun. This is interesting because

:30:58.:31:02.

although Laura Renwick does not want to jump again, she has cleared

:31:02.:31:08.

the wall. If Ben Maher clears it, it is 20,000 on offer so her

:31:08.:31:15.

husband will wants to talk her into it. Let's see what happens with Ben.

:31:15.:31:25.
:31:25.:31:38.

Ben Maher. Now looking to stay in we are losing competitors rapidly.

:31:38.:31:45.

Will he come inside again? He is. Taking that very fast. He has

:31:45.:31:51.

jumped it! It has worked again. We are going again. We are going to

:31:51.:31:59.

round four. Again, Ben using his experience and knowledge, and it

:31:59.:32:06.

worked. So much pace, pulling really hard into the jump. Does not

:32:06.:32:12.

want too much room in front of the wall to lose control. But the power

:32:12.:32:22.
:32:22.:32:30.

special nights in the puissance. Gets into the right place, and this

:32:30.:32:36.

horse really has got the scope and power... We are going bigger. We

:32:36.:32:46.
:32:46.:32:46.

are. This is the situation, Laura has jumped clear, Ben Maher has

:32:46.:32:51.

jumped, it is the two of them in it. If she wants to keep the game alive,

:32:51.:32:56.

to be competitive, she has to go in again and she knows she has. With

:32:56.:33:03.

the greatest reluctance will see a Laura Renwick jump again. -- we

:33:03.:33:12.

will see. This puissance coming down to around four. They could be

:33:12.:33:18.

one more round. Interesting if they would go again. We've had occasions

:33:18.:33:28.
:33:28.:33:42.

where the riders actually decides have had drama since Monday night,

:33:42.:33:52.
:33:52.:34:00.

a world record in the first Grand earlier I am not really a fan of

:34:01.:34:09.

the puissance wall. Not to quit. -- not too quick. She jumped it!

:34:09.:34:17.

Fantastic. That was a brilliant piece of writing. She got the

:34:17.:34:21.

stride you're talking about. Exactly, slightly more balanced.

:34:21.:34:27.

She jumped at, a touch further to the middle of the fence and what a

:34:27.:34:35.

right. She kept her nerve brilliantly. A fraction closer,

:34:35.:34:41.

just touched in front, got away with it. She had enough balance to

:34:41.:34:46.

roll the back end over. If she was quicker it would have come down.

:34:46.:34:50.

The wall Wobble's quite a lot. But it is very light. She only rubbed

:34:50.:34:56.

the top of it. If you hit it at all it is light enough to come down.

:34:56.:35:01.

She got away with it. For someone who doesn't like puissance, you are

:35:01.:35:07.

quite good. He is a phenomenal horse, he will jump from three,

:35:07.:35:13.

puissance. He is the most versatile animal. I feel very safe on him. He

:35:13.:35:18.

will try his best for me and he proves it. You can watch Ben Maher

:35:18.:35:23.

with me. If he has the wall down, you have won the puissance!

:35:23.:35:33.
:35:33.:35:47.

call. They do not come any cooler than Ben Maher. He is almost

:35:47.:35:53.

certainly going to take the tight inside line so he doesn't get too

:35:53.:35:56.

much pace up. He doesn't want a repeat of what happened in the

:35:56.:36:06.
:36:06.:36:27.

first round when he had a horrible You both jumped clear, there is

another round. No, that's it now. I am quite willing for him to win

:36:35.:36:45.
:36:45.:36:46.

this one. I am proud of my horse. This jump, slightly off suits the

:36:46.:36:53.

horse's technique. He is a big horse, he needs the room. Brierley

:37:01.:37:05.

going to go again it to make it a clear out right wing. If he wants

:37:05.:37:11.

to win out right otherwise it is a tie. That would be a wonderful

:37:11.:37:19.

victory, twice in three years for Ben Maher. But this man is a real

:37:19.:37:25.

professional. He studies, he looks at things in detail. He has the

:37:25.:37:35.
:37:35.:38:00.

wins in the past. The triple bar was often the fence that undid that

:38:00.:38:10.
:38:10.:38:11.

combination. Inside again. Brits tactic he has used. Very nearly. So

:38:12.:38:20.

close. It would be nice to finish with a clean sheet. The crowd are

:38:20.:38:28.

going nuts. What a fantastic competition we have had. Once again

:38:28.:38:34.

the puissance has come alive. To see a medallist when the big one is

:38:34.:38:39.

again something this crowd have really enjoyed. Let's have another

:38:39.:38:45.

look at this. Maybe a fraction quick, slightly off it. Just a

:38:45.:38:52.

little flick, unlucky not to get away with it. So near, yet so far.

:38:52.:39:02.

But he takes the prize pot. It hung on for a second, the top brick in

:39:02.:39:07.

the balance and down it came. It doesn't matter. Ben Maher wins the

:39:07.:39:16.

puissance again. Some great names have won this famous puissance.

:39:16.:39:25.

Michael Whitaker won it twice in the late 1980s, Robert Smith. The

:39:25.:39:34.

Australian also won it. Won it twice in the late 1980s. Freddie

:39:34.:39:39.

Welsh, another one who won the puissance when it first came back

:39:39.:39:49.
:39:49.:40:26.

here in the early 1970s. This is one, Robert Whitaker in 9th place.

:40:26.:40:31.

Then there is the winner again after a gap of a couple of years.

:40:31.:40:41.
:40:41.:40:41.

It heated on the edge. I had... It was more important he went and

:40:41.:40:49.

stopped. I was a little bit far away. It is OK, I was happy. It was

:40:49.:40:55.

enough. I am proud. It was a good night to finish it. A good effort

:40:55.:41:00.

considering the state York one is in. Yes, I have not thought about

:41:00.:41:04.

it because of the adrenalin. I'll put some ice on it. Thank you very

the spotlight, what a year for Ben Maher. This is a man who has the

:41:22.:41:27.

greatest respect from his colleagues as a really really top-

:41:27.:41:34.

class jockey. An all-round horseman. His brilliance in the quick-

:41:34.:41:38.

thinking to make the turn into the wall to get his horse to jump it is

:41:38.:41:46.

what won the competition tonight. Ben Maher on his horse, it's quite

:41:46.:41:52.

a mouthful. He wins the puissance again. He is flying this week. He

:41:52.:41:59.

really is going well. You will see him later life this afternoon. He

mixture of entertainment and sport. Graham Fletcher competed at the

first Olympia. Simon Brooks Ward also here. This was you, Graham in

:45:03.:45:09.

1973. What is it lime coming here? Fantastic. Since it started it has

:45:09.:45:15.

always had a special atmosphere. It was a brave move to come here. The

:45:15.:45:21.

show ran spring to late autumn. And it was very brave of Simon's father

:45:21.:45:30.

to you know... Put such a show on. It has always, it has alwaysed a a

:45:30.:45:37.

special atmosphere. Simon, when your father made the decision to

:45:37.:45:42.

reinvent this, there was first showjumping in 1907, people thought

:45:42.:45:48.

it would fail. They thought it was thought he was mad. I sent up the

:45:48.:45:53.

high street in a squirrel suit to give away tickets. You couldn't gir

:45:53.:45:59.

them away. And now look at it. do you keep it fresh? One act is

:45:59.:46:03.

Jean Francois Pignon who, seems to control wild horses with no bridle

:46:03.:46:08.

no, saddle. He just does it through instinct. He is an amazing man and

:46:08.:46:13.

so good to work with. You should see his horses in the stable,

:46:13.:46:18.

they're so calm and collected. And that is what we need. We like

:46:18.:46:25.

people to see this displays. You go around Europe to find new acts?

:46:25.:46:30.

it could be Russia, Spain, France Italy. We have had some from Japan.

:46:30.:46:34.

This is the Barcelona police, who finished their routine with the

:46:34.:46:39.

horses all lying down. And the children and I brought my God

children and they sit there gripped by it. I'm glad to hear that. They

:46:44.:46:50.

should buy more tickets! When they start young and we have had

child at the first one. Do you enjoy rung it, or is it a massive

:47:01.:47:05.

stress? I'm unemployable anywhere else. It is a family affair. It

:47:05.:47:11.

wouldn't be the same. It has basis in ending up in training people for

:47:11.:47:17.

real life sport. The Shetland pony Grand National, both Sam Twiston-

Davies and Willie Twiston Daveies learned to be jockeys in this. That

this year and he is the pony that Sam 5 Willie learned on. It is fun,

:47:34.:47:39.

but it is competitive. All the kids want to win. Everyone that comes

:47:39.:47:44.

here, yes they want to have fun, but it is competitive. And you know

:47:44.:47:49.

you will see in the world cup following, everyone wants to win at

:47:49.:47:53.

this show. And big prize money on offer. Tell me how you think your

:47:53.:47:59.

wife, Tina, will get on? It was a tough call getting here, she had a

:47:59.:48:07.

bad fall. She was in the jump off. A real bad accident. We are lucky

:48:07.:48:11.

to get her here. But she was second on the first night and clear

:48:11.:48:14.

yesterday. So it is a tough call. But she is a tough girl and she

:48:14.:48:19.

should have a chance. Simon, in term of the quality of showjump, we

:48:19.:48:26.

have the Grand Prix to come, but the World Cup Qualifier is the big

:48:26.:48:34.

one. Yes with eight out of the ten -- top ten in the field, it the

jump off will be special. Thank you for talking us to. We look forward

:48:38.:48:44.

to the World Cup this afternoon. But the big growth sport in terms

:48:44.:48:49.

interest has been dressage. In the last few years, European standards

:48:49.:48:52.

have got higher and Britain has been leading the way. They won a

:48:52.:49:00.

gold at the Olympics for the first time for the team and Charlotte

Dujardin took the individual gold. She was in action in the free style

they're on top. That was unbelievable. Such harmony.

Incredible. It is into the lead hand the title over to the Hester

stable on a plate. She is very determined. She will make the most

:56:33.:56:41.

of this horse. It is interesting, because when Britain first hit gold,

:56:41.:56:47.

in the European Championships in 2010, Carl Hester and Isabell Werth

:56:47.:56:52.

did have a real battle. On that occasion, Carl Hester won. Will he

performance yesterday so far. He is more relax add more together, a

fantastic ride tonight. Technically, to me, it looks at standing. It

:00:43.:00:49.

just lacks that star quality somehow. Am I wrong? No, you're not

:00:49.:00:54.

wrong. It does not have the fluidity and harmony of Uthopia for

:01:51.:01:59.

who has been at the top of her game. A great competitor. Carl Hester has

:01:59.:02:04.

done it and now Isabell Werth has done it. Could they will be chasing

:02:04.:02:10.

Charlotte Dujardin? Now it is the Marks. Has she beaten Carl Hester?

:02:10.:02:20.
:02:20.:02:22.

Yes, she has. Now it is the Olympic champion, Charlotte Dujardin. Is it

their lives. I can remember, I do not know them, but I always

:09:25.:09:28.

remember the gold medallists from years ago so I think that is how

:09:28.:09:32.

people will remember us. It has been non-stop. The promotion has

:09:32.:09:35.

been fantastic and the fact that everyone seems to know what

:09:35.:09:39.

dressage is now is more unbelievable. It does not step --

:09:39.:09:43.

stock. You think winning the gold medallist the end but it is the

:09:43.:09:48.

beginning. And the important thing is to build on that. You and

:09:48.:09:53.

Valegro seem to be getting stronger and stronger? Yes, last night was

:09:53.:09:57.

the first time he has been out since the Olympics so it was very

:09:57.:10:01.

exciting. The atmosphere was buzzing in there. He was very

:10:01.:10:06.

excited to be in there. Were you happy with him? Yes, the beginning

:10:06.:10:12.

was a little bit of a Neth, something spooked him and he got a

:10:12.:10:16.

bit frightened, so the start was a little bit tense, but the rest that

:10:16.:10:23.

I was happy with. Only in the week, you set a new world record? Yes, in

:10:23.:10:27.

the Grand Prix I set a new world record so I had a fantastic ride.

:10:27.:10:32.

He was really good. I was absolutely over the moon with him.

:10:32.:10:36.

It is amazing how the standard of British dressage has improved.

:10:36.:10:40.

Laura, you were a part of that but now you have the challenge to find

:10:40.:10:46.

a new horse? Yes, certainly before Rio I would like to have a new

:10:46.:10:50.

project which makes it onto the team, hopefully home-bred if I am a

:10:50.:10:54.

lucky. Alf is not retired. He did not compete here, he is a bit older

:10:54.:10:59.

than the other horses, so he has had a longer break. He is pretty

:10:59.:11:04.

chirpy back home. How has a life changed for you? Have you been

:11:04.:11:08.

going round to schools talking about dressage? Are I have been

:11:08.:11:12.

doing a lot of things. I got to compete in a Olympic Superstars

:11:12.:11:16.

which will be shown on BBC after Christmas. I have been doing lots

:11:16.:11:21.

of fun things and trying to keep the momentum up and promoting

:11:21.:11:26.

equestrian sports. I think people really appreciate the beauty of

:11:26.:11:30.

dressage now, you said everything - - everyone wants to talk about it,

:11:30.:11:35.

bring on the dancing horses, they love it. Yes, dressage is about

:11:35.:11:39.

this beautiful partnership, harmony, the horse looking like it is doing

:11:39.:11:43.

on its own. It is like a perfect marriage really. That is how it

:11:43.:11:48.

should be. I think the three of us have managed to be well married to

:11:48.:11:54.

our horses this year. We have had a lot of praise for the way the

:11:54.:12:00.

horses go which is fantastic. And hopefully, a new era of likeness in

:12:00.:12:04.

dressage. It is not that complicated. The fact that we can

:12:04.:12:08.

show it, explain it in this easy way with an easy way of riding

:12:08.:12:12.

makes the sport more accessible. is accessible and successful as

:12:12.:12:19.

well, well done, all of you. Carl Hester is the Co owner and

pleased. Charlotte takes home the prize money, adding to the success

:12:32.:12:35.

in the Grand Prix the night before. She was performing the same routine

:12:35.:12:40.

to the same patriotic music which won had the Olympic individual gold

:12:40.:12:45.

medal. Valegro is a hot horse. He takes a fair bit of handling. Andy

:12:45.:12:50.

Austin is alongside me. I am getting lots are queries on put her

:12:50.:12:55.

about how to train a horse to do that level of dressage. The cities

:12:55.:13:00.

the same as in show jumping. A starter for years old and build up.

:13:00.:13:04.

It is layer upon layer. It takes five or six years of really hard

:13:04.:13:10.

work. So, Kauto Star which has just retired from racing, he is now,

:13:10.:13:14.

they are thinking of training him for dressage. He could not be this

:13:14.:13:19.

level, could he? There is no chance of that. There is the breeding for

:13:19.:13:23.

one. He is a racehorse. Many generations of breeding gone into

:13:23.:13:29.

producing him to be what he is. The warm bloods which you do dressage

:13:29.:13:33.

on, they are specifically bred horses to do that job. Five or six

:13:34.:13:38.

years of training to get to that level. You are not going to take a

:13:38.:13:42.

marathon runner to be a gymnast. That is a very valid companion.

:13:42.:13:47.

Kauto Star is 12 years old now. What kind of level could he get to

:13:47.:13:52.

within the next 12 months? He can certainly do a bit of novice star

:14:02.:14:06.

working, which every horse should be doing, there is no good just

:14:06.:14:10.

chucking them in a field, but don't expect to see him in real! No, but

:14:11.:14:15.

let's hope we see Charlotte Dujardin that. They are looking for

emotional, because it is such a beautiful thing to see and the

:14:28.:14:37.

connection between the horse and You see the UNISON between horse

:14:37.:14:43.

and rider. It looks effortless. You can see that sometimes with certain

:14:43.:14:47.

showjumping riders. But it is harmony and the horse and rider

:14:47.:14:52.

working together. That is what you want to see all the time. A couple

:14:52.:14:56.

of questions about whether the horses actually listen to the music.

:14:56.:15:01.

Do the horses react to the music and the beat, or only listening to

:15:01.:15:05.

the rider? They're only listening to the rider. It is very much to do

:15:05.:15:10.

with the rider's aids. The music certainly works for the audience.

:15:11.:15:17.

They loved that. And another success for Charlotte Dujardin. The

:15:17.:15:22.

showjumpers are warming up we will bring you live action. But what is

:15:22.:15:26.

special about Olympia is the other stuff that happens. Here is the

One of the additions this year has been World Cup driving. And Boyd

:17:33.:17:43.
:17:43.:17:50.

Exell is the star of that team of four horses. An Australian

:17:50.:17:54.

born, but now lives in Leicestershire. Four gates, there

:17:54.:17:59.

is a ball on the top of the each marker. If he knocks it down, it is

:17:59.:18:04.

seconds to add. There is little room for error and it is all

:18:04.:18:11.

against the clock. There is just 1.50 metres wide. There is very

:18:11.:18:17.

little room for error. He goes into the first of two hazards. They have

:18:17.:18:21.

got to go through gates in the right order. Through A and now

:18:22.:18:28.

doubling and look thousand horses turn on a six pence as a team. And

:18:28.:18:34.

watch Boyd, his hands, it is as if he is doing knitting with the reins.

suspension. He is still clear. It is the fastest who wins. This man

Two more gates to go and the man is going to get a qualification again

:19:26.:19:32.

for final. Look at the crowd, they love it! This man is a maestro.

:19:32.:19:37.

Boyd Exell with his lovely team of horse, winning the World Cup here

:19:37.:19:46.

in London. What a performance. You really don't see anything like that

:19:46.:19:56.
:19:56.:20:00.

very often in your life. This man Now the arena is full of coloured

:20:00.:20:05.

poles. Andy you have had a walk around. It is the course for the

:20:05.:20:11.

qual Fer -- qualifier. Well this is very big. It starts off big early

:20:12.:20:19.

on. There is two huge fences, three to four are a wide trim bar, a huge

:20:19.:20:22.

oxer and the London Olympic wall at the end of the line. That is right

:20:22.:20:28.

at the beginning. Some tight turns. And big spreads. This, look how far

:20:29.:20:33.

they have to stretch across this parallel. That fence is coming out

:20:33.:20:37.

of a combination. That is how tough it is. So the beginning of the

:20:37.:20:42.

course is very much about power. Will, can I grab a word? If you

:20:42.:20:46.

look at this fence here, this plank, the entrance is right there, they

:20:46.:20:51.

have got to go past the entrance and jump this huge plank, trying to

:20:51.:20:59.

keep the concentration. It is tough. Will Funnel is here. How has your

:20:59.:21:02.

week been? They have been jumping well. Could do with a bit of luck.

:21:02.:21:07.

It would be nice to have a good round. It is tough, you're straight

:21:07.:21:12.

into it, big jumps. There is a lot of committed distances. It is big

:21:12.:21:18.

and tall and it will take a bit of jumping. Sorry, I disturbed you.

:21:18.:21:23.

You will see Will pacing out, so he knows how many strides between this

:21:23.:21:28.

fence and the next one. Also Andy, riders needing to understand their

:21:28.:21:33.

own horse and whether they're a naturally long striding horse, or a

:21:33.:21:38.

short, choppy one. That is what we are talking about. You heard Will

:21:38.:21:41.

mention the triple bar. You need to open your horse up. If you have a

:21:41.:21:45.

horse with a big stride, they will open themselves up and find it very

:21:45.:21:51.

hard to get balanced again for the wall. Now let's have a chat with

:21:51.:21:56.

Nick Skelton and Tina Fletcher. Tina the particular challenges for

:21:56.:22:01.

you? Its all. It starts off big. The first fence is square and wide.

:22:01.:22:06.

It is great to see you back, you have had a bad injury. Yes it is my

:22:06.:22:11.

first show back after three and a half months. Tina was a reserve for

:22:11.:22:19.

the Olympics. Nick was there. He won a gold medal. How is Big Star

:22:19.:22:24.

indoors? He is quite green indoors. He is still only nine. It is quite

:22:24.:22:28.

difficult for him this horse. Especially the fences down the side.

:22:28.:22:33.

He doesn't like the crowd so much. They're tight to the ball. -- wall.

:22:33.:22:39.

This distance is quite short. many strides? It is five, but it

:22:39.:22:45.

will be tight. You have to keep wide. But he is coming off the

:22:45.:22:51.

crowd. It will be a fight. Good luck. We will show you what Nick

:22:51.:22:55.

means, unlike outdoor courses, the crowd are right here and could

:22:55.:22:59.

almost lean over and touch a horse. We were talking about how quickly

:22:59.:23:04.

this comes off the corner by the entrance. Nick said this stride f

:23:04.:23:09.

you go directly, it is a bit short for five and you have to come out

:23:09.:23:18.

close to the crowd. The horses get spooked, Big Star is still green

:23:18.:23:25.

indoors. We saw him get spooked. Peter chars is here. He went last

:23:25.:23:31.

in the jump off and sealed the gold for Britain. He is here. Think I

:23:31.:23:35.

will go last today. It is a big, straight forward course. Plenty to

:23:35.:23:41.

jump. Not over technical, but very big jumps. You're Olympic horse you

:23:41.:23:46.

have sold to Bruce Springsteen's daughter. What are you riding?

:23:46.:23:55.

chancing my arm, punching above my weight with a ten-year-old mare

:23:55.:24:03.

called Odi. How do you ride this will give her as much help as I can.

:24:03.:24:08.

I am the teacher today and I have got get some mileage for the future.

:24:08.:24:14.

She is a nice prospect educational round? Yes. Now talk me

:24:14.:24:20.

through this, Andy, this is coming from eight to nine. Up to nine here.

:24:20.:24:26.

Hello! This is a big power jump. If you look at the front rail, it is

:24:26.:24:33.

just as high as the back rail. This fence is about one metre eighty

:24:33.:24:39.

wide. It is a very wide fence. This opens the horse up. When you have

:24:39.:24:45.

opened it up. It is difficult to get them rebalanced. That is the

:24:45.:24:52.

course builder's strick -- trick all the way round. Here we have the

:24:52.:24:56.

red wall. The red bus. Look at this fence here. Because on the top of

:24:56.:25:01.

the wall there is some very light bricks. And they, they will come

:25:01.:25:06.

down easily. If we come and have a look at them. You're going to tap

:25:07.:25:16.

them are you? This brick here. is like leg kpwo. -- Lego. Hev e

:25:16.:25:22.

they have had to jump wide fences, open the horses up and then some

:25:22.:25:28.

quick strides and that could be difficult. I have just seen the

:25:28.:25:35.

youngest member of our Olympic team, Scott Brash. How much have you done

:25:35.:25:43.

since Greenwich? I have done a couple of the World Cup shows. But

:25:43.:25:47.

he has had a month break. So this is his first show back. But he is

:25:47.:25:51.

in great form. How much of a difference does it make to you to

:25:51.:26:01.

ride here and they announce you as an Olympic gold medallist? Sniet

:26:01.:26:06.

mace makes a great -- It makes a great difference. Good luck this

:26:06.:26:10.

afternoon. I keep thinking it is tonight. Do you think you have a

:26:10.:26:16.

chance of winning? I don't want to say too much. But yeah, if I ride

:26:16.:26:20.

the lines right, my horse jump as good as he can, he felt good the

:26:20.:26:27.

other nights, well he has a chance. He will be very cool in the saddle.

:26:27.:26:32.

Good luck, Scott. Bob Ellis is in charge of designing the course. I

:26:32.:26:36.

have asked Andy about it, what do 0 have in your mind when you were

:26:36.:26:44.

planning the route and the size of the fences? It is a course from the

:26:44.:26:51.

Netherlands. It is a tough course. It is big, very uncompromising.

:26:51.:26:56.

Distances vary, you have some long and short distances. Wide oxers and

:26:56.:27:00.

I think it will take some jumping. But I think it is fair. You can get

:27:01.:27:06.

at everything. I think it is a fair course. Are you allowed to say who

:27:06.:27:11.

you think might win? As you know from the Olympics I'm unbiased.

:27:11.:27:20.

That is true. I think Mark Houtzager has a chance. Of the

:27:20.:27:24.

British riders who do you think will make the jump off. I think six

:27:24.:27:30.

clear rounds all Brits. No, I think Nick with Big Star has chance.

:27:30.:27:35.

Scott, he is going well. Ben is going amazingly well. So they're

:27:35.:27:41.

all in with a good chance. Thank you. I hope it goes well for you.

:27:41.:27:48.

Andy, we will keep wandering. are going to look at the last part

:27:48.:27:53.

of the course. That is another vertical. You imagine what the

:27:53.:27:58.

horses are seeing as they take off. There is a huge amount of

:27:58.:28:02.

distraction. This is a light and narrow fence and it comes down

:28:02.:28:07.

easily. So when they have jumped that, they swing around the corner.

:28:07.:28:13.

Come into is in big parallel? fence is very close to the end of

:28:13.:28:17.

the arena. They need a lot of power. There is no room to get any pace

:28:17.:28:22.

and they have to jump it off the hocks with power. As soon as you

:28:22.:28:26.

jump that, here is the last part of course, the combination. It is

:28:26.:28:32.

rights at the end. How tired do horse get. One would think not so

:28:32.:28:42.

tired. They get fired -- tired because of the intense effort.

:28:42.:28:46.

Because the jumping comes so quickly, they don't get a chance

:28:46.:28:52.

for a breather. If a horse is short of power, you look at this. It is a

:28:52.:28:57.

blur of colour. All you see is green and yellow. It is hard to

:28:57.:29:07.
:29:07.:29:10.

This is the first part of a combination so it is a delicate

:29:10.:29:15.

fence jumping in. There is another vertical straight after it, once

:29:15.:29:19.

dried. Right at the end of the arena, shall we have a look at the

:29:19.:29:27.

Oxo? Yes, show me. It is lucky that the cameraman is very tall. This is

:29:27.:29:33.

the second vertical. They will do one stride in here and then two

:29:33.:29:41.

here and we were talking about Square oxers and Power jumping,

:29:41.:29:44.

right up to the end of the arena, the very last fence on the course,

:29:44.:29:51.

a huge oxer to jump there. It is a proper test. This is the last

:29:51.:29:57.

fence? It is part sea of the combination. They set a time of the

:29:57.:30:01.

first-round, it is not about going the fastest but is the time a tight

:30:01.:30:06.

enough to make that a factor? always tight. I think they have to

:30:06.:30:12.

get round in 64 seconds. If you go over that time, you get time faults.

:30:12.:30:16.

It means the riders have to keep up a strong rhythm all the way round.

:30:16.:30:22.

You definitely get time faults if you dally about. A lot of questions

:30:22.:30:26.

about what the courses where and why they have little hats on. Is

:30:26.:30:30.

that about indoor jumping? There is a lot of noise in the arena and

:30:30.:30:35.

there is a real buzz and the Tannoy and everything. He is really to

:30:35.:30:39.

keep the sound out. Sometimes they put cotton wool in the horse's

:30:40.:30:47.

beers so it deadens the sound. -- in the horse's years. The horses

:30:47.:30:53.

are sensitive. They react to the noise and the crowd. Most of the

:30:53.:30:57.

riders will walk the course two or 3 times. They will make sure they

:30:57.:31:02.

know their distances but it is an advantage to go later and see it

:31:02.:31:06.

written? Over the years, you can walk courses and it is fascinating

:31:06.:31:10.

because everybody says that is how it will ride but until a couple

:31:10.:31:14.

have been round, you're never quite sure. Also, with the time allowed,

:31:14.:31:19.

you never know how quick it will be. As soon as you see five or six go,

:31:19.:31:23.

you get a good idea. It is an advantage to be at the end. They

:31:23.:31:28.

say the golden era of showjumping was in the 1970s and 1980s but I

:31:28.:31:33.

think we are witnessing a new golden era now. Are all four of our

:31:33.:31:38.

gold medal team from the Olympics will be competing in the Grand Prix

:31:38.:31:42.

-- in the Cup and there is added glow because of what happened in

:31:42.:31:48.

the summer. Told it is, Nick Skelton, Ben mare,

:31:48.:31:53.

Scott Brash and Peter Charles. -- then there. This is the moment they

:31:53.:31:59.

have all been dreaming of for so many years. What do you think has

:31:59.:32:03.

made the difference from three years ago to now? Three years ago

:32:03.:32:07.

we had two Olympic courses and the aim was to be to improve the number

:32:07.:32:13.

of horses we had and build on the team of riders. We took conflict

:32:13.:32:17.

out of the team and we introduced competition. Younger riders with

:32:17.:32:23.

the older riders. The older riders have got the experience they need

:32:23.:32:27.

and the older realise -- the older riders realised there had to fight

:32:27.:32:34.

for their place. And it was dramatic. I think it was fate. I

:32:34.:32:38.

had even planned four-way jump-off in the way I had set the team off

:32:38.:32:44.

and for all that comes together was unbelievable. He has got us off yet

:32:44.:32:52.

again to a tremendous start! That was Nick Skelton at his very best.

:32:52.:32:57.

For all I have been through over the years and winning world

:32:57.:33:01.

championship medals and a World Cups, to get an Olympic medal, that

:33:01.:33:06.

is the cream on the cake. Especially to do it at a later

:33:06.:33:11.

stage in my life. I think we are lucky, Nick and Peter have waited a

:33:11.:33:15.

whole career until they have won and Olympic gold and we have

:33:15.:33:19.

managed to do it earlier. It is a great boost and hopefully we can

:33:19.:33:23.

keep the momentum going in our sport. To do it in front of your

:33:23.:33:27.

home crowd was unbelievable. I think for the whole games, I have

:33:27.:33:35.

not been to a bet against them back. I think I favourite moment was you

:33:35.:33:41.

jumping up onto the podium. We all got brief bout site. Everybody was

:33:41.:33:47.

excited and it went in one year and at the other. I thought, I am not

:33:47.:33:55.

missing this opportunity. Peter, it all came down to you. It did. When

:33:55.:34:00.

I look back on it now, every morning I have got my gold medal

:34:00.:34:09.

and now and then I look at it and get a tingle down my spine. What a

:34:09.:34:15.

tremendous crowd! 80 something as a rider that you really want to be in

:34:15.:34:20.

a position where you want to test yourself against the best. You want

:34:20.:34:24.

your standards and expectations to be as high as possible and I am

:34:24.:34:28.

glad I had that opportunity to do it. When you went back home, what

:34:29.:34:36.

was your welcome like? I live up a valley. There was a gold postbox in

:34:36.:34:40.

Peebles and that there were two up the valley and they are painted

:34:40.:34:44.

them all gold. I went down to the village and the local bakers had

:34:44.:34:49.

made a big cake with my face on it. I could not believe it. I get

:34:49.:34:54.

recognised a lot in public places now a lot more than we were, it is

:34:54.:34:59.

not just small kids, it is adults as well. I think our job is to try

:34:59.:35:04.

and promote the sport as much as possible. Everybody, young kids,

:35:04.:35:09.

the riding school people come up to. It has made a massive difference to

:35:09.:35:14.

the equestrian community in general. When I took the job, the only thing

:35:14.:35:20.

I wanted was to win a gold medal. We have achieved that. It is

:35:20.:35:25.

difficult to get their next step and build the motivation again but

:35:25.:35:29.

it is building now. There will be some changes in our nation's Cup

:35:29.:35:33.

format and then the World Games at the year after and then we are

:35:33.:35:38.

looking ahead to Rio. Britain have delivered gold, and memory for a

:35:38.:35:44.

lifetime. Even if I had not won gold, it would be fantastic but the

:35:44.:35:49.

not the same as London. I loved every minute of it. Those memories

:35:49.:35:53.

will be with me for the rest of my life. Are it was totally magical,

:35:53.:35:58.

wasn't it? The whole thing, right from the start. The atmosphere, the

:35:58.:36:03.

crowds, the venue. Everybody was a little unsure about doing it in

:36:04.:36:07.

Greenwich in London but it worked, and look at the memories we have

:36:07.:36:13.

got. The challenge now is finding the next generation of show jumpers,

:36:13.:36:18.

the younger ones to join the life - - the likes of Scott Brash and Ben

:36:18.:36:24.

Maher, so in the you have got fresh blood. We have got the old guard

:36:24.:36:27.

which are hanging in there and they did a brilliant job but the two

:36:27.:36:33.

young lads, they are coming through. We need more. Unique competition

:36:33.:36:37.

for places and we have certainly got that coming through now -- you

:36:37.:36:43.

need competition. A few years ago it Scott was in a class for riders

:36:43.:36:48.

under the age of 23. The winner this time round was a 13-year-old,

:36:48.:36:53.

Emily Ward. She took on riders ten years older. She went last in the

:36:53.:36:59.

jump-off and she was faster than all of them. She is with me now. A

:36:59.:37:03.

fantastic round, well done, you. Tell me about the horse you were

:37:03.:37:13.
:37:13.:37:14.

riding. She is a bay mare called Which. She is very fast and a very

:37:14.:37:19.

careful horse. Who is is she? is owned by my dad and Michael

:37:19.:37:23.

Whitaker. Obviously Michael Whitaker is a big influence in your

:37:23.:37:29.

riding? Yes, he has helped me since I was six or seven. Ever since I

:37:29.:37:33.

started showjumping, he has been there and supported me with the

:37:33.:37:40.

best tactics as he can. Is this the biggest success so far, it has to

:37:40.:37:48.

be, doesn't it? Definitely, I was totally amazed. I think most of the

:37:48.:37:52.

people who support me where amazed how well I did yesterday. What next

:37:52.:37:58.

for you? Hopefully next year we can come and hopefully do the same as I

:37:58.:38:07.

did yesterday. Not much that I can say. And presumably, you're on your

:38:07.:38:11.

school holidays and back to school in January? Yes, back to school in

:38:11.:38:17.

January. Great to talk to, I hope that is the first of many

:38:17.:38:20.

interviews. That is Emily Ward who is only 13 at the moment and I

:38:20.:38:23.

think that is the beginning of a really successful career. I hope so.

:38:23.:38:28.

Thank you. And maybe one day we will see her in the line-up for

:38:28.:38:34.

this World Cup qualifier. The line-up includes the individual

:38:34.:38:41.

gold medallist from the London Olympics from Switzerland. We also

:38:41.:38:48.

have the individual silver and bronze medallists. Burka Schroder

:38:48.:38:58.
:38:58.:38:59.

From Britain we have the big names, Nick Skelton on Big Star, his

:38:59.:39:06.

Olympic horse. He is also good indoors. The favourite is Ben Maher,

:39:06.:39:11.

he rides Triple X, his Olympic horse. He has been in flying form

:39:11.:39:19.

at Olympia this week. How much his former important? Ben Maher has

:39:19.:39:24.

been winning everything. He is in flying form and form and confidence

:39:24.:39:30.

since showjumping has everything. That goes through to the horse. He

:39:30.:39:35.

is the man in the form at the moment. Who for you at the top

:39:35.:39:45.
:39:45.:39:47.

three to look out for? Gerken Schroder, he is one to look out for.

:39:47.:39:56.

A world-class force. Big Star with Nick Skelton. He will be keen to do

:39:56.:40:02.

well today for a start I just love being backstage here, being able to

:40:02.:40:08.

see everybody warming up. Cian O'Connor is one of the early ones

:40:08.:40:13.

and Tim Stockdale coming towards us. Last year he was standing next to

:40:13.:40:17.

make with his neck in a brace, having broken his neck in a

:40:17.:40:22.

horrible fall. He said he would be back and he is back riding in this

:40:22.:40:26.

class. Let's have a look at the virtual course map. Here is Mike

:40:26.:40:36.
:40:36.:40:36.

Tucker to talk us through the whole 12 fences in all. Down across the

:40:36.:40:44.

arena, a big are bright at one point 60 the maximum. Left-handed

:40:44.:40:50.

coming back round the arena. A big oxer in the middle and then down to

:40:50.:40:59.

another are bright, this time the London bus at 1.6 again. As we come

:40:59.:41:06.

round to the big spread fence. One stride in there. And another big

:41:06.:41:14.

fence. Round the bottom and become to the virtual water ditch. That is

:41:14.:41:20.

a big fence on the other side of the arena. The upright and then to

:41:20.:41:30.
:41:30.:41:31.

the final line across the arena with the treble combination. Then

:41:31.:41:38.

be big light oxer out to compete -- complete. It is a big course but it

:41:38.:41:44.

is also a world-class field. So, let's look at the start list. It is

:41:44.:41:54.
:41:54.:41:54.

Apology for the loss of subtitles for 137 seconds

:41:54.:42:50.

This is a competition which will have us on the edge of our seats

:42:50.:42:55.

throughout. The World Cup first started here in the late 1970s. We

:42:55.:43:00.

have had a roll of honour second to none. For me, Andy, this is the

:43:00.:43:08.

best field I have ever seen here. There certainly is an abundance of

:43:08.:43:12.

champion riders and Olympic medallist. All the top riders we

:43:12.:43:16.

can expect to see here. This is definitely the biggest, toughest

:43:16.:43:24.

competition held in Great Britain throughout the year. It is worth

:43:24.:43:27.

making that point very strongly. We get a lot of top riders. This

:43:27.:43:32.

indoor competition has more of the top league than any others. That is

:43:32.:43:42.
:43:42.:43:44.

Eleven Olympic medallists. That is fantastic. You couldn't get any

:43:44.:43:51.

better. This is showjumping at the top of the tree. Who are we seeing

:43:51.:44:01.
:44:01.:44:01.

there? David bain on the right. And there they all are. Edwina and

:44:01.:44:11.
:44:11.:44:24.

a fascinating competition to get us under way. Rob Whitaker the first

:44:24.:44:32.

to go. He is ranked nine in Britain. And he was ninth in a World Cup in

:44:32.:44:42.
:44:42.:44:45.

Cal gri. It is a horse that was tried as a potential horse for

:44:45.:44:50.

London, but didn't quite make it. But it is a very capable horse.

:44:50.:45:00.
:45:00.:45:06.

the early riders is the time allowed is 64 seconds. This is not

:45:06.:45:12.

the biggest striding horse, let's see if he can get round in under 64.

:45:12.:45:22.
:45:22.:45:56.

faults. And a big mistake at the pulled up and I'm not sure if he

:45:56.:46:00.

has quite made his mind up. Yeah, he is going to just pop another

:46:01.:46:10.
:46:11.:46:10.

fence and things getting a bit too hot for him. Sensibly retiring.

:46:11.:46:20.
:46:21.:46:21.

That gives you some idea, Mike, of how tough this course is. Rob just

:46:21.:46:26.

popping USA today over an easier fence to give the horse some

:46:26.:46:31.

confidence again. As you said, they come up thick and fast and they're

:46:31.:46:36.

big. And it is where horses can lose their confidence if they start

:46:36.:46:41.

struggling. It is the technicality of the courses, the distances and

:46:41.:46:45.

the fences coming so thick and fast. That was too much for Rob. We still

:46:45.:46:55.

haven't seen what the time is going to be like. Now the turn of Guy

:46:55.:47:04.

yams Williams. He sold his horse this time last year to Edwina Topps

:47:04.:47:08.

Alexander. She didn't get on as well with it and it has come back

:47:08.:47:18.
:47:18.:47:18.

Apology for the loss of subtitles for 137 seconds

:47:18.:48:33.

to Guy. The impression is the horse 63.88. You can call it good

:48:33.:48:37.

management, or call it a bit lucky. But he is inside. It doesn't matter,

:48:37.:48:41.

as you say, he has jumped a clear round and that was a brilliant

:48:41.:48:47.

piece of riegd. Look at the scope and power of the horse. We know he

:48:47.:48:52.

can jump the big, wide fences. He did well to balance him for that

:48:52.:48:58.

delicate wall. There he is, over the last fence. Squeaked inside the

:48:58.:49:02.

time. He is through. This combination looking better than

:49:02.:49:06.

ever now. It has taken some time to get back. But now beginning to look

:49:06.:49:11.

the sort of international combination they looked in the

:49:11.:49:18.

European championships of 2011. Now man from Ireland who won individual

:49:18.:49:24.

bronze, Cian O'Conner. He wasn't in the list of riders qualified for

:49:24.:49:33.

the last individual day in London. Then Bengtsson had to withdraw and

:49:33.:49:43.
:49:43.:49:43.

Apology for the loss of subtitles for 137 seconds

:49:43.:50:27.

he got the place and ended up with first ever World Cup that this

:50:27.:50:33.

combination has jumped in and they have struggled. Clare is talking to

:50:33.:50:37.

Guy. Yes, our first clear round. Everyone else struggling, but you

:50:37.:50:42.

made that look all right. Yes, I had him before and he has just come

:50:42.:50:47.

back. Well, he jumped super. you know how close you were to the

:50:47.:50:51.

time? Yes but I have to jump the Phelpss F you go too forward too

:50:52.:50:56.

early, he gets a bit strong. I would settle for a time fault.

:50:56.:51:02.

Great to have you back and rebuild that relationship? Yes, Wen you

:51:02.:51:06.

sale horse, you don't expect to get him back. I didn't want to sell him,

:51:06.:51:11.

but you have to feed the family and do the job. I'm lucky to have a

:51:11.:51:21.
:51:21.:51:29.

second bite of the chry. Good luck. riders. Remember that great grey

:51:29.:51:37.

lors of Nick Skelton's, - horse of Nick Skelton's, that has been sold

:51:37.:51:47.
:51:47.:51:47.

Apology for the loss of subtitles for 137 seconds

:51:47.:52:54.

Down to the spwin nation. That last line, it comes at the end of a very

:52:54.:53:00.

big track. So it is four. The time actually a little better as you

:53:00.:53:06.

were suggest. There is the scope and power. You see the shortening.

:53:06.:53:11.

Had to really fight to jump that wall. But towards the end of the

:53:11.:53:15.

course after that oxer, he is having a big argue: Once the horse

:53:15.:53:22.

has got out of shape, she's got her head in the air and that vertical,

:53:22.:53:32.
:53:32.:53:40.

first part of combination, coming down. Now for Norway. She is very

:53:40.:53:50.
:53:50.:53:50.

Apology for the loss of subtitles for 137 seconds

:53:50.:54:56.

horses. He only has a bitless are pretty light. That is an

:54:56.:55:04.

understatement, they're unbelievibly light. Eight faults

:55:04.:55:09.

for Geir there. They have got to keep going. That puts the pressure

:55:09.:55:16.

on. That is when the mistakes come. Yes, you see Geir riding very

:55:16.:55:20.

forward out of the corner. Just a bit too much pace and that is why

:55:20.:55:30.
:55:30.:55:31.

he had that front rail down. A bit unlucky at that fence. Now the

:55:31.:55:41.
:55:41.:55:41.

Apology for the loss of subtitles for 137 seconds

:55:41.:56:50.

Austrian rider. With a horse we time. He didn't get away with that

:56:50.:56:55.

one. He did everything right. He just touched it. Those light poles

:56:55.:57:00.

again. It is four, but it is a good round. One feels they're beginning

:57:00.:57:05.

to get the hang of the course. An early draw in a competition like

:57:06.:57:12.

this is not always the best. There is the power and scope. Just felt

:57:12.:57:18.

that as he was coming down to that last line, having opened the horse

:57:18.:57:22.

up, didn't quite, he jumped the first one, very unlucky in the

:57:23.:57:28.

middle. Riding for his life all the way. But it is a very fast four

:57:28.:57:35.

faults. That might count. A good point. I think he was 49 seconds.

:57:35.:57:42.

49.6. It is worth remembering that. That could be involved. Now Peter

:57:42.:57:47.

Charles he has had a busy day. Two of his youngest daughters were in

:57:47.:57:55.

the ponies this morning. They have a family who are very talented and

:57:55.:58:05.
:58:05.:58:05.

Apology for the loss of subtitles for 137 seconds

:58:05.:59:11.

Peter Charles' best. This man is certainly focused for Rio 2016. The

:59:11.:59:17.

other exciting thing is all a white. She has been a super own and to the

:59:17.:59:27.
:59:27.:59:32.

was not sure about jumping this horse in this class but she has

:59:32.:59:42.

come good there. He will be thrilled with that. Peter is so

:59:42.:59:49.

fired up after London and so he should be. We turn our attention to

:59:49.:59:55.

the lady who had to be reserved for London, Tina Fletcher. This is an

:59:55.:00:00.

outstanding horse owned by Lady Harris and Lady Kirkham. What super

:00:00.:00:07.

owners they have been. Tina is recovering from injury. She had a

:00:07.:00:12.

real confidence boost here on Wednesday night. She finished

:00:12.:00:19.

second. She was in two minds. Her injury had taken a lot out of her.

:00:19.:00:29.
:00:29.:00:32.

She went so well but not this than the first fence coming down.

:00:32.:00:38.

The horse not quite focused. Only two clear rounds. Tina has got to

:00:38.:00:48.
:00:48.:01:00.

make it to the Olympics. This is a power jumping horse. As a reserve,

:01:01.:01:06.

you play a part in the team and Tina did that 110 %. She did a

:01:06.:01:16.
:01:16.:01:27.

wonderful job at supporting the will be interesting. Not quite the

:01:27.:01:35.

fastest. But still quicker than many. A very well-built course. A

:01:35.:01:41.

proper test towards the end of the course where you have got to be

:01:41.:01:51.
:01:51.:01:53.

very careful over the two huge verticals. It is particularly

:01:53.:01:59.

different -- difficult on power jumping big striding horses. Here

:01:59.:02:06.

is one of the superstars of Swedish sport. She has been very successful

:02:06.:02:16.
:02:16.:02:23.

for Sweden and won an Olympic medal before the Olympic Games. The horse

:02:23.:02:28.

got a knock and so missed the Games. The worst fortnight that the horse

:02:28.:02:32.

could have been off. But this is a very talented competition and there

:02:33.:02:42.
:02:43.:03:14.

lady rider. But she rides to her inside the time. The word scope

:03:14.:03:24.
:03:24.:03:33.

comes to mind. There is enough for Great Britain. -- clear round

:03:33.:03:40.

number 3, 4 Sweden. Let's talk to the man who recorded the second of

:03:40.:03:46.

the clear rounds. You were worried that she was not up to the level.

:03:46.:03:50.

You cannot keep an old dog down like myself and I had some belief

:03:50.:04:00.

in her. My word, you had to write her. That is the biggest trouble if

:04:00.:04:04.

you run out of rooms in the middle. She likes to go forward but we had

:04:04.:04:12.

to shorten her. You said, come back, come back, yes, get her back.

:04:12.:04:17.

I land from A to B, I make room. A lot of riders ran out of room. That

:04:17.:04:21.

is the hardest fence on the course to jump. He did brilliantly well,

:04:21.:04:31.
:04:31.:04:40.

well done, Peter. -- you did Maria Moneta or, he is making his

:04:40.:04:44.

mark. Italy have rarely been without a major star for a number

:04:44.:04:54.
:04:54.:05:06.

popular sport. This guy is a big favourite with the crowds. You can

:05:06.:05:16.
:05:16.:05:28.

sense his enthusiasm and love for Charles made about the extra stride.

:05:28.:05:37.

He gets the extra one. He is getting a little bit of a rattle on.

:05:37.:05:43.

I think he said, bother, with the last two fences down. He did

:05:43.:05:47.

everything right and Toll Bar point. Although he got the extra stride,

:05:47.:05:57.
:05:57.:06:08.

the balance and rhythm did go. It with his granddaughter. He is one

:06:09.:06:17.

of the course designers, part of the team. This is very much a

:06:17.:06:23.

family show. There are huge numbers of children here. They love it. We

:06:23.:06:29.

see one of Great Britain's leading lady riders, Laura Renwick. My word,

:06:29.:06:34.

is she in form. She spent a lot of time in Europe this summer. Five

:06:34.:06:44.
:06:44.:07:01.

against the clock. He is not a very big horse but he has a massive

:07:01.:07:11.
:07:11.:07:44.

stride and the heart of a lion. Renwick of Great Britain. Clare

:07:44.:07:49.

Balding is now talking to the Swedish rider. She has the

:07:49.:07:55.

brightest jacket of the lot. Under fast-track. I had to run him to get

:07:55.:08:01.

the distance is right. He is a fast horse. I thought I would let him

:08:01.:08:06.

cut the corners of a bit to make sure we were inside the time.

:08:06.:08:10.

cannot walk the course for the jump-off so will you go and study

:08:10.:08:15.

the map to see if you can cut corners? Yes, I will. Hopefully

:08:15.:08:20.

there will be not many more clears for my sake! But I will go and see

:08:20.:08:30.
:08:30.:08:36.

where I can catch them. Good luck. bell goes to get through to the

:08:36.:08:45.

starting line. He does that sensibly and easily. This horse was

:08:45.:08:51.

4th in the Olympic Games in Athens. This man hails from Munich, a long

:08:51.:08:57.

drive to get here. 4th from the Grand Prix in Munich. He has

:08:57.:09:07.
:09:07.:09:15.

already jumped in Helsinki and Oslo powerful scallion -- stallion will

:09:15.:09:20.

have no problem with power and scope. He looks to be obedient on

:09:20.:09:30.
:09:30.:09:37.

the Flat. You should be able to get He kept going, he did not back up

:09:37.:09:42.

in the middle. That second part of the combination is causing a lot of

:09:42.:09:52.
:09:52.:10:06.

German show jumpers. A big striding horse. Quite short between those

:10:06.:10:14.

two verticals. No chance of all jumping the middle part.

:10:14.:10:17.

Stockdale and the crowd love him. This time last year, you might

:10:17.:10:23.

remember he had his neck in a huge collar. He had broken his neck

:10:23.:10:30.

earlier in the season. When you think both Nick Skelton and Tim

:10:30.:10:33.

Stockdale and of course Peter Charles have all broken their necks

:10:33.:10:37.

and are still riding as well as ever, it is amazing. Results show

:10:37.:10:43.

jumpers are a tough breed. Wake you coming back? I am right with them,

:10:43.:10:52.

of course! Our generation, if you break something, you just bandage

:10:52.:11:02.
:11:02.:11:11.

it up and keep going. Tim, they do when the horse stride and he had a

:11:11.:11:21.
:11:21.:11:38.

combination and it has all gone wrong. He wanted to add the stride

:11:38.:11:42.

and lost his rhythm completely. Under a lot of pressure towards the

:11:42.:11:48.

end of the course. It is not his day, unfortunately. No, it is not

:11:48.:11:58.
:11:58.:11:59.

and he is going to retire. When he started riding again after his

:11:59.:12:05.

injury, he really did show some good form. I think we will see more

:12:05.:12:13.

of the combination in time. Tim is disappointed with that but

:12:13.:12:19.

showjumping is them up and down sport. You have to shrug your

:12:19.:12:24.

disappointments of and regroup. Let's have a look at this early

:12:24.:12:34.
:12:34.:13:09.

ended up on half a stride and it is regularly this year. He will not

:13:09.:13:19.
:13:19.:13:28.

Oxon, it is not the biggest fence but it is easy for horses to not be

:13:28.:13:38.
:13:38.:13:50.

focused at the beginning of the flowing forward. Horses that cannot

:13:50.:13:53.

shorten a speed are out of their comfort zone and that's where the

:13:53.:13:58.

problems are coming from. You're getting great technical virtue of

:13:58.:14:03.

spot on! It is a fluent course but they need to sit on their hocks for

:14:03.:14:13.

the last combination. Coming down again there. Started out as a

:14:13.:14:17.

promising international event or the for show jumping. His cousin

:14:17.:14:25.

was in the Swedish team in London. A very good Swedish a question

:14:25.:14:30.

family. John's a good round until the combination. It is the middle

:14:30.:14:35.

part, if you keep coming level to the first part, the horses are

:14:35.:14:40.

travelling forward and they don't manage the middle section. The

:14:40.:14:50.
:14:50.:14:52.

riders have to decide whether they add a stride to the combination.

:14:52.:14:55.

Belgium one of several teams with France and Germany who really

:14:55.:15:04.

performed way under their potential. This horse has been in a number of

:15:04.:15:11.

Nations Cups for Belgium this year. Certainly showing formatter very

:15:11.:15:21.
:15:21.:16:00.

everything he can but starting to the way to jump the combination.

:16:00.:16:10.
:16:10.:16:37.

Two down. is a huge boxer. If you don't have

:16:37.:16:43.

pace, a lot of horses cannot jump it. If you do have pace, can you

:16:43.:16:49.

get a balance for the combination, a great piece of course building.

:16:49.:16:59.
:16:59.:17:01.

A young Swiss rider making a big name for herself. When very well in

:17:01.:17:06.

Stuttgart and then a few days ago was fourth in a strong Grand Prix

:17:06.:17:14.

in Paris. She has jumped some lovely grounds on this horse here.

:17:14.:17:24.
:17:24.:17:31.

Nowadays there are very few horses jumping at this sort of level but

:17:31.:17:40.

are not well bred. -- that. It's interesting looking at the breeding

:17:40.:17:48.

of show jumpers. Some of the horses are way out on top when you start

:17:48.:17:54.

he made a large rackets and he shot off. That frightened him and you

the combination, those dreaded verticals catching John Whittaker.

Rob is developing a wonderful relationship with the riders.

:23:00.:23:07.

Really part of why everything has gone so well. Another of the

:23:08.:23:14.

Olympic medallists. He has been world No. 1 over a number of weeks,

:23:14.:23:24.
:23:24.:23:25.

currently in third. He won the round in Verona in great style. He

:23:25.:23:35.

was placed in the first won in Oslo. Again, very much in the money this

:24:10.:24:17.

part of the double, very square on a flat stride. Just a couple of

:24:18.:24:24.

unexpected fences. The faults can come all round the course. Always a

:24:24.:24:34.
:24:34.:24:48.

in all and that is a surprise. He was France's, he has been in form

:24:48.:24:58.

and has had a win here. It's not to be in the World Cup itself to leave.

:24:58.:25:03.

-- this afternoon. It is on a five Open strides, slightly unbalanced

:25:25.:25:30.

Riding a lovely young horse this afternoon. Only an eight year-old

:25:30.:25:37.

mare. She's been in tremendous form. The winner for the second time of

:25:38.:25:43.

the global riders, a tremendous performance, consistent in the

:25:43.:25:49.

world class league. She's recently been winner of the Geneva World Cup.

:25:49.:25:57.

She is bang in form. A bit of commentary that has a fence again.

:25:57.:26:04.

It is the build up. This is a young horse, and eight year-old. Probably

:26:04.:26:10.

a little bit skipping forward. Sometimes the young horses don't

:26:10.:26:17.

quite know how to control the power they've got. It's a learning curve

:26:17.:26:24.

for this young mare. You see how quickly Edwina had to rebalance the

:26:24.:26:34.
:26:34.:27:01.

horse because defences are so tight faults for you but proving you are

:27:01.:27:09.

in there. To you go on and on? The eternal man. Yes, I feel good. I

:27:09.:27:15.

can still win. I might as well keep going. It was a good round. He is a

:27:15.:27:21.

big horse and some of those distances are quite tight. He is

:27:21.:27:26.

still learning. The size is not a problem but it is the tricky thing

:27:26.:27:32.

he has difficulty sorting out. It was reasonable round. How many

:27:32.:27:42.
:27:42.:27:46.

Whitakers are there competing? But altogether about 14, competing.

:27:46.:27:55.

An extraordinary dynasty. Thank you. The Frenchman already with a fence

:28:07.:28:11.

world medal team behind Germany. He's been a top rider in France for

:28:11.:28:21.
:28:21.:28:26.

things. Tail swishing. Not concentrating today, unfortunately

:28:26.:28:36.
:28:36.:28:45.

horses have all the ability but you need a horse that focuses on every

:28:45.:28:55.
:28:55.:29:03.

first fence she kicked out. Very, very annoying when they did that.

:29:03.:29:08.

But she has got her own opinion. When she wants to, she can really

:29:08.:29:18.
:29:18.:29:40.

Some very good ones to come. Here but here in Britain. This horse has

:29:40.:29:50.
:29:50.:30:01.

been one of the flagships, very jumping indoors. Will have had him

:30:01.:30:05.

on the World Cup circuit in the last month will two and he has been

:30:05.:30:15.
:30:15.:30:26.

determination to jump the first part of that double. That was

:30:26.:30:32.

desperately unlucky. He looked to be over the planks but dropped his

:30:32.:30:42.

back legs. It is incredible. The last clear round was ages ago.

:30:42.:30:52.
:30:52.:31:01.

There are faults coming all the way will -- William Funnell and Billy

rail came quickly off the corner. A bit of an unlucky round. Had the

:31:31.:31:37.

next one will be interesting, Marc Houtzager. Of he is right at the

:31:37.:31:42.

top of the world rankings for the Netherlands. He was part of the

:31:42.:31:48.

team who chased Great Britain for the Olympic team gold. He has been

:31:48.:31:58.
:31:58.:32:03.

in the last two Olympics for the good form, he won the Grand Prix in

:32:03.:32:08.

Paris 10 days ago. He also won the Grand Prix in Rotterdam which is

:32:08.:32:18.
:32:18.:32:23.

one of the bigger ones in the horses but there are some fight

:32:23.:32:33.
:32:33.:33:08.

extra power in the tank which the part of this game and confidence

:33:08.:33:18.

was oozing from everywhere. Lovely. Yes, but for him it is easy but it

:33:18.:33:22.

is easier to be that confident when you have a horse of this kind of

:33:22.:33:32.
:33:32.:33:35.

talent. Their height and scope and classic shape in the air. Really

:33:35.:33:42.

careful over the middle part and loads of scope to come out. This is

:33:42.:33:47.

another horse which has got a lot of thoroughbred into it. Yes, the

:33:47.:33:51.

Dutch put a lot of thoroughbred into their horses 30 years ago and

:33:51.:33:57.

you can see it. It comes from the race course and gives the courage

:33:57.:34:07.
:34:07.:34:36.

powerful horses. This is one of the to the jump-off. Four clear rounds

:34:36.:34:43.

at the moment. You watch this effortless, clear of style and you

:34:43.:34:47.

think sometimes he should put a bit more effort into it but that is his

:34:47.:34:55.

way of writing. He sits ever so quietly. -- that is his way of

:34:55.:35:05.
:35:05.:35:12.

They are the biggest competition there is in the calendar. Las Vegas,

:35:12.:35:19.

Kuala Lumpur and Geneva, he won all of them. He won the Olympic Games

:35:19.:35:24.

in Sydney in 2000 but he has not had a great Olympic record since

:35:24.:35:29.

then. But he is still one of the world's very, very best from

:35:29.:35:37.

Germany. It is fascinating to watch Marcus ride because he six as quiet

Bost. He won the Grand Prix here in London in 1991. He is still at the

:36:13.:36:23.
:36:23.:36:32.

top of French show jumping. He has rankings. He has been in great form

:36:32.:36:42.
:36:42.:36:51.

this week. He has been very hard to this sport is not about style, it

:36:52.:36:57.

is about being effective. We just saw the most Irish rider, now we

:36:57.:37:02.

will see a guy who does it all his own way -- the most stylish rider.

:37:02.:37:12.
:37:12.:37:30.

His legs go everywhere but the happening. There he is. Fighting.

:37:30.:37:37.

The first part of it has gone. that occasion you could say it did

:37:37.:37:42.

not work. That is one of the favourites out. A tremendous round

:37:42.:37:47.

last night but not to be in the Rolex World Cup lead here. Let's go

:37:47.:37:52.

back to Marc Houtzager with Clare Balding. I will talk to him later,

:37:52.:37:58.

actually. There are still only four clear rounds. These are the three

children of a Peter Charles. Are you show jumpers as well? Yes.

have you been up took us we have been up to a competition. Was that

this morning? Yes. How did you get on? I had four false. How will your

:38:27.:38:37.

it. Who is your favourite show jumper? How my dad. That is lucky!

:38:37.:38:41.

He has put in so much work and to see him win a gold medal was really

:38:41.:38:48.

special. Is that what you want to do? Yes. Good luck to you and your

:38:49.:38:58.
:38:59.:39:04.

inspired, Gerco Schroder, riding the horse where he was a silver

:39:04.:39:14.
:39:14.:39:34.

of quality and so far cruising round this course. Unbelievable

:39:34.:39:44.
:39:44.:39:50.

to come. My word, they are certainly good ones who are going

:39:50.:39:55.

through at the moment. No doubt, Andy. That was pure class all the

:39:55.:40:05.
:40:05.:40:08.

way. Allowing his horse to float forward. Poetry in motion. He gets

:40:08.:40:13.

a fluent four strides, softens his hands. It does not get much better

:40:13.:40:20.

than that. Here is a combination, trusting his horse and allowing him

:40:20.:40:25.

to jump. That is wonderful. promised you the best of the best

:41:14.:41:21.

the power fences. Having to shorten up with a little bit of a change of

:41:21.:41:30.

his mind there, Steve. Like so many French horses, a bit fussy in her

:41:30.:41:40.
:41:40.:41:53.

head. She sticks her head up at the back end. What a pity, one-down. It

:41:53.:41:57.

would have been great to have the Olympic champion three but it is

:41:57.:42:02.

not to be. Five clear rounds. Here Now is Marc Houtzager with Clare

:42:02.:42:12.

A quick look at the jump-off, how will you write it? IAA will have to

:42:12.:42:20.

ride fast. I have to give everything. Two of the clear rounds

:42:20.:42:25.

are Dutch, yourself and Gerco Schroder. Who is the bigger danger?

:42:25.:42:30.

He has had a good year. Meet to. The first two places, it does not

:42:30.:42:36.

matter, first and second. We will watch with interest. Good luck.

:42:36.:42:46.
:42:46.:42:59.

has been in 10 World Cup finals and ridden in more World Cups than any

:42:59.:43:09.
:43:09.:43:19.

other rider competing. He is riding and very spooky. The ears are

:43:19.:43:23.

protected from the sound to try and calm the horse down a little bit.

:43:23.:43:29.

Not quite concentrating. You could see at the beginning of the round,

:43:29.:43:36.

Michael was having trouble getting settled. He is struggling down

:43:36.:43:40.

there. Not quite staying straight in his body and it is all to do

:43:40.:43:43.

with the horse looking at the age of the arena and not focusing on

:43:44.:43:53.
:43:54.:44:04.

but there is only so much he can do. Struggling to get into that corner.

:44:04.:44:08.

And the concentration has gone to pieces in the combination. Not an

:44:08.:44:16.

easy ride for Michael. No, very much a novice with the big fences.

:44:16.:44:23.

You do not associate Novices' Windies courses. -- with these

:44:24.:44:30.

:44:34.:44:39.

You cannot simulate it at home. You have to get them in there and used

:50:29.:50:35.

She was watching with interest. You have to work hard. Yes, today's

:50:35.:50:40.

course did not suit him because he is so small. The beginning of the

:50:40.:50:45.

course is forward. I was doing a lot of galloping. It had an

:50:45.:50:51.

unsettled. When I went to slow down, I got to do. And you pleased to see

:50:51.:50:57.

in Nick with Big Star. Yes, he has been a little nervous because the

:50:57.:51:02.

crowds are so great, this green and makes a much noise. He was worried

:51:02.:51:10.

but he handled it great. We will see him in the jump off. Thank you.

:51:10.:51:17.

:52:44.:52:44.

honest. It is 5 1/2 to the combination. I wanted a deep shot

:52:44.:52:52.

to get an up-and-down jump. But I was too deep. I could not jump it.

:52:52.:52:56.

But as a Laura we just saw. Your words painted the picture. We

:52:56.:53:03.

bother watching the jump off? I will watch and hopefully we will

:53:03.:53:08.

get a British win. I am disappointed because the horse is

:53:08.:53:16.

on form. A great shame. Peter Charles and Nick Skelton are into

:53:16.:53:21.

the jump off. Could we see the fourth and final member Ben Maher

:53:21.:53:31.
:53:31.:53:32.

:53:32.:53:37.

Maher. This man has been on fire. His performance last night in the

:53:37.:53:43.

Masters was one of the best I have seen. A wonderful piece of riding.

:53:43.:53:51.

What can he do here? He won last year, a home-bred which is more

there is out of the World Cup qualifier but Nick Skelton is

:55:12.:55:18.

through to the jump off. He has memorised the cause. Well, luckily

:55:18.:55:26.

I am in the end so I have the two favourites in front of me. They

:55:26.:55:34.

have been going really well. It is not easy in here. He has such a big

:55:34.:55:40.

stride and he is quick way from the jump. It is tight. We will give it

see what the Dutch riders do first. What do you make of it? It will be

:01:08.:01:12.

a tough jump off. What will be influential is the London bus.

:01:12.:01:22.
:01:22.:01:24.

There is a stride to be taken out there. Now, can Gerco, he has power.

:01:24.:01:29.

Whether they have straight speed, I am not sure. Nick can watch them go

:01:29.:01:34.

and pressurise them into trying to make a mistake. What worries me is

:01:34.:01:41.

they lay it down and Nick has to do something unbelievable. This is the

:01:41.:01:47.

course that they will face. Here is Andy to talk you through it.

:01:47.:01:54.

first jump is this oxer that was number nine and right handed to the

:01:54.:02:00.

little vertical at ten. Sweeping back to the big oxer. Run on down

:02:00.:02:06.

here it is longer. The first part of the combination is taken away.

:02:06.:02:10.

Two strides in the middle. That big oxer coming out. There is a tight

:02:10.:02:15.

turn back to what was the second Phelps. And look at this run, all

:02:15.:02:22.

the way down to the London bus. As tick Stockdale said, that is a very

:02:22.:02:27.

influential fence. A big gallop and that last fence. It was the second

:02:27.:02:31.

part of the double. It will be a very quick round. Do you know the

:02:32.:02:38.

riders, Tim, who are gutsy and will go all out for this. Yes and you

:02:38.:02:43.

know they won't leave anything out. They will give it everything. The

:02:43.:02:51.

ones that are look for firstor nothing. There is Nick Skelton,

:02:51.:02:59.

Marilyn. That is nert bright blue jacket. She will be as brave as a

:02:59.:03:03.

lion. She will go for that London bus and turn for home and there

:03:03.:03:08.

will be a big yell. Schroeder is a tough guy and he is not in this for

:03:08.:03:13.

second. I think we have got a fascinating jump off. If you were

:03:13.:03:17.

Guy and going first, would you go for the safe clear round? That is

:03:18.:03:23.

not Guy's style. He wants to do something. He has Gotts to be

:03:23.:03:27.

careful Athletic not go too quick. He has got to make the others make

:03:27.:03:32.

mistake and not leave anything too open. But not trying to be too

:03:32.:03:38.

quick. There he goes. He is being shouted out by the announcer, not

:03:38.:03:45.

letting anyone rush him. He will come through that tunnel soon. Our

:03:45.:03:49.

first rider is a British one. We have Guy Williams and Peter Charles

:03:50.:03:57.

and Nick Skelton in the jump off of eight. So Guy Williams pauses in

:03:58.:04:01.

the tunnel. The curtains are open and there will be an explosion of

:04:01.:04:10.

sound and he is an interesting one to go first? Yes, Guy is a nast --

:04:10.:04:16.

fast rider. But we had a slow time. If he lets this horse off the leash,

:04:16.:04:25.

he sometimes loses control. But we expect him to go for its. Three for

:04:25.:04:33.

Britain in the eight. Two of them going right at the beginning, which

:04:33.:04:38.

isn't to their advantage. But they're certainly experienced. Guy

:04:38.:04:48.
:04:48.:04:49.

just checking that clock over head. They are just wondering whether

:04:49.:04:54.

thepbtd rung the bell. That clock that Guy's been anxious about, just

:04:54.:05:02.

making sure he hadn't missed the bell. Probably last checks being

:05:02.:05:09.

done on the timing, which in a competition like this, 110,000

:05:10.:05:15.

euros at stake, 25% going to the winner. I think probably they're

:05:15.:05:19.

just making sure that all is right. It is a timing issue that we are

:05:19.:05:28.

waiting for. And there is Guy keeping the horse cool and calm.

:05:28.:05:33.

Exactly what he has to do. It's not what you want. You want to get on

:05:33.:05:39.

with it. He has warmed his horse up and tried to peak his horse to

:05:39.:05:43.

start his line. The last thing you need is this break in concentration.

:05:43.:05:53.
:05:53.:05:57.

Here we go. The last eight. Against the k clock to win the London leg

:05:57.:06:07.
:06:07.:06:38.

of the Rolex world Cup. Of the wall. You see, we thought that wall

:06:38.:06:48.
:06:48.:06:50.

would come down. It is a steady round. Eight it is. 38.28, a steady

:06:50.:06:55.

round and there will be plenty of places where errors are made. Two

:06:55.:07:00.

long gallops. It is fascinating that is for sure. Guy Williams,

:07:00.:07:07.

eight faults in that time of 38.28. Here is the first fence that Guy

:07:07.:07:12.

had down. Just slightly sloppy over that one. As he was opening the

:07:12.:07:18.

stride up, Titus can sometimes get a bit strong and turning in the air.

:07:18.:07:25.

He hit that pretty hard. Now turn of Peter Charles. They don't come

:07:26.:07:29.

much more experienced than this man. But one has to remind ourselves

:07:29.:07:35.

that this is a mare without a huge amount of experience. But she did

:07:35.:07:45.
:07:45.:07:45.

Apology for the loss of subtitles for 137 seconds

:07:45.:08:41.

jump a beautiful first round. Owned Peter, brilliant piece of riding.

:08:41.:08:46.

Clear 37.54. It could be beatable, but he has put it down.

:08:46.:08:52.

Particularly going clear. He has jufrpdz his clear round on this

:08:52.:08:57.

inexperienced horse. -- jumped his clear round. They will jump tighter

:08:57.:09:03.

at the top of the arena. A wonderfully athletic mare. He was a

:09:03.:09:08.

long way off the vertical and she showed a lot of heart to jump the

:09:08.:09:14.

fence. He was around 30 second over the wall. He will be there or

:09:14.:09:17.

thereabouts. But I think they can go quicker. I would agree with Tim.

:09:17.:09:27.
:09:27.:09:27.

Apology for the loss of subtitles for 137 seconds

:09:27.:10:17.

I think this is one of the biggest is up. This is way quicker. 36.3, a

:10:17.:10:25.

new leader and a smooth round from the Swedish champion. Tim you said

:10:25.:10:30.

Malin would be brave and she was. She showed her intent. Look how

:10:30.:10:35.

fast she is off that. That is a huge vertical. She got the wrong

:10:35.:10:39.

distance on the turn back to the purple fence and ended up going

:10:39.:10:43.

eight strides and I think she wanted to go seven. But look at

:10:43.:10:48.

careful he was. She is really having a run for home. Is it an

:10:48.:10:53.

advantage that she is so small and light? Can't be a disadvantage I

:10:53.:10:58.

think. But she has grown with him and she is very much in harmony

:10:58.:11:04.

with the horse. Here is a danger. The man from the Netherlands. Two

:11:04.:11:12.

of them in it, remember. Marc Houtzager. Again quick. Part of the

:11:12.:11:22.
:11:22.:11:24.

silver medal team that jumped off against Britain for the team gold.

:11:24.:11:34.
:11:34.:12:01.

She needs to lands over the bus in it. A beautiful round and he has

:12:01.:12:07.

taken nearly two seconds off it. Some performance. That is pure

:12:07.:12:14.

class. Top rider, top horse. All the ability and he looked as though

:12:14.:12:19.

he was in cruise control. certainly did. That was an

:12:19.:12:23.

incredible round to take two seconds off Malin Baryard-

:12:24.:12:28.

Johnsson's time. He landed in balance. He had his eye on the

:12:28.:12:36.

fence. He seemed to do the whole round within himself. But so much

:12:36.:12:42.

ability. It is wonderful. Very impressive and there is another

:12:42.:12:49.

flying Dutchman to come. And he is next up. There is the man who won

:12:49.:12:59.
:12:59.:13:03.

individual silver. Riding the horse he rode in London. A new time to

:13:03.:13:13.
:13:13.:13:49.

beat, 36.67. Where he he make it going to put him down behind Peter

:13:50.:13:55.

Charles in fourth. That's what has to happen if you are going to win

:13:55.:14:05.
:14:05.:14:07.

this. What about the next? This man will want to win. He certainly will.

:14:07.:14:12.

He so deserved his team gold medal. They were the most consistent

:14:12.:14:22.
:14:22.:14:29.

combination. This would mean a lot and there's lots of room to open a

:14:29.:14:39.
:14:39.:14:39.

Apology for the loss of subtitles for 137 seconds

:14:39.:15:20.

So unlucky. Those bricks are so those horrible little bricks from

:15:20.:15:30.
:15:30.:15:41.

appeared to be motoring. It shows the class. Desperately unlucky with

:15:41.:15:48.

a brick out of the wall. But still even at that kind of pace not quick

:15:48.:15:57.

enough to get close to the winning time. Two ladies to finish, two

:15:57.:16:07.
:16:07.:16:44.

quite wide. A big change of mind vertical is so light and delicate

:16:44.:16:49.

at that pace. All sorts of things happening now, there are so much

:16:49.:16:59.
:16:59.:17:10.

pressure on the riders to be the fascinating jump off. They have a

:17:10.:17:20.
:17:20.:17:34.

riders. They certainly are. This lady can take pressure. She has the

:17:34.:17:42.

skills, she will need some luck as well when she has to go quickly. A

:17:42.:17:52.
:17:52.:18:00.

very happy man at the moment. 34 Dutchman has got it. We have been

:18:00.:18:06.

very lucky to see these horses jump, as we said before the class, these

:18:06.:18:12.

are some of the best combinations in world show jumping. Poetry in

:18:12.:18:18.

motion, but jump off. There's no doubt, we have seen the best horses

:18:18.:18:28.
:18:28.:18:28.

Apology for the loss of subtitles for 137 seconds

:18:28.:19:31.

World Cup list. Guy Williams, good The winner is with us.

:19:31.:19:35.

Congratulations. When you came out of the jump-off you thought you

:19:35.:19:45.
:19:45.:19:49.

have not done enough. I was not 100% sure. How much does it mean to

:19:49.:19:58.

to win at the qualifier here? Fantastic. The horse won three

:19:59.:20:06.

Grand Prix. It could not be better. It was great to see we hit,

:20:06.:20:11.

congratulations. Give the microphone back to Tim! We watched

:20:11.:20:18.

the jump off together. It was so interesting. The risks they take.

:20:18.:20:23.

Yes, it is a big course but these are world class horses and riders.

:20:23.:20:29.

You can see the margins. The wall was very big. To take the straight,

:20:29.:20:37.

he knew he left it slightly ajar. A full stride out, the big turn back.

:20:38.:20:41.

The horse is galloping through the corners, he has to keep in balance

:20:41.:20:47.

to do the big jumps. The combination is to shorten and the

:20:47.:20:52.

vertical was exquisite. That's where he won it. It was a question

:20:52.:20:56.

of could it be speedy enough to put Nick under pressure, he knew what

:20:56.:21:05.

to do. That's where he knew he left the door slightly ajar. Nick tried

:21:05.:21:10.

to take strike out but nudged the top of the bus. It is so fragile.

:21:10.:21:16.

Those bricks are like Lego bricks. It is so delicate. It is the

:21:16.:21:20.

difference between winning and losing, a bit of a touch. Peter

:21:20.:21:27.

Charles in third place. It was a cunning round. It was smooth and

:21:27.:21:32.

neat. He knew he would be penalising the others if they went

:21:32.:21:38.

too slow. He ended up getting a good ribbon on third. Fantastic.

:21:38.:21:42.

The show jumpers are getting ready for the prize-giving. We will show

:21:43.:21:47.

you that in a moment. The medallists we haven't heard from in

:21:47.:21:51.

terms of the question of medallists are the event is. They were here

:21:51.:21:55.

earlier in the week and Nicola Wilson and Zara Phillips were the

:21:55.:22:05.
:22:05.:22:07.

ones I interviewed. We have three silver medal-winning team here.

:22:07.:22:11.

Apart from the dancing exploits, what else has changed? What has

:22:11.:22:15.

been the impact of your success at the Olympics? I think it is an

:22:15.:22:20.

awareness of what we do, the sport we love. At encouraging people to

:22:20.:22:25.

come and watch and support and get involved in eventing which I found

:22:25.:22:29.

in Yorkshire has been fantastic. There was concern about Greenwich

:22:29.:22:34.

as a venue among so the question community. How did it work out and

:22:34.:22:40.

was it positive? I think so. I was one of the ones he was a bit

:22:40.:22:45.

negative. Why couldn't we go to one of them near by but it worked.

:22:45.:22:51.

There were so many new faces there to the sport and they left saying

:22:51.:22:57.

they are good at this and it's fun. And proved eventing can be staged

:22:57.:23:03.

anywhere. I absolutely. Getting the people there but think it's just

:23:03.:23:07.

for rich people prancing around on horses. It is a proper sport.

:23:07.:23:13.

it seems to have a broad appeal. Your profile is connected to other

:23:13.:23:17.

things as well as your sport. But how proud were you to represent

:23:17.:23:23.

your country at the Olympics? was incredible. To be part of it,

:23:23.:23:31.

to be asked to ride for a country at the Olympics, to be involved, it

:23:31.:23:36.

was the most amazing experience in the world. The whole experience,

:23:36.:23:42.

you can't put it into words. It is the best show on earth and the best

:23:42.:23:46.

sport you could possibly want to be involved in. Everyone is there.

:23:46.:23:51.

Well done on a team silver. Congratulations.

:23:51.:23:57.

The thrill of riding at the Olympics. The event is get a break.

:23:57.:24:01.

The show jumpers keep going all gear round. Yes, we have to keep

:24:02.:24:07.

going. It is all year round. This is towards the end of what the top

:24:07.:24:12.

horses do, a break in January but it's pretty relentless. We can see

:24:12.:24:18.

the prize giving starting now. How were the eight winner was Mark?

:24:18.:24:25.

Totally deserved, pure class. All of the scope and the ability.

:24:25.:24:29.

Beautifully ridden. It looked like he was cruising in the jump off.

:24:29.:24:33.

That is what true class is all about. He made it look comfortable.

:24:33.:24:39.

The pressure of the other riders, they could not live with it.

:24:39.:24:44.

Nick Skelton at Peter Charles, they may not think it but it is fine for

:24:44.:24:49.

the Netherlands to win here because of the Olympics. We will allow them

:24:49.:24:59.
:24:59.:25:00.

that. Over to Mike. The winner from the Netherlands, a very proud

:25:00.:25:10.
:25:10.:25:14.

moment for Stowe we await the One of the key legs in the winter

circuit. Against the Netherlands Well, you could say this afternoon

:26:08.:26:14.

that it was one gold medal to Britain in London 2012 but this

:26:14.:26:21.

afternoon in this Rolex World Cup lek, it is a gold medal to this man

:26:21.:26:27.

for the Netherlands. Just getting revenge for the jump-off in London.

:26:27.:26:31.

What a wonderful jumping competition be witnessed.

:26:31.:26:39.

Tremendous. A gorgeous looking a horse. Is all the attention for me!

:26:39.:26:42.

They have another session tonight to go to, tomorrow evening the

:26:43.:26:48.

Grand Prix, how many horses will we see again? Not all of them but we

:26:48.:26:51.

would like to see most of them because they're a two major prizes

:26:51.:26:57.

to win. That is the first, tomorrow, big money, the prestige. You will

:26:57.:27:04.

be able to see all of the fun of the fair at Olympia tomorrow

:27:04.:27:09.

evening from 6:25pm. You can see all of the Dog agility and show

:27:09.:27:15.

jumping classes. It is live on the red button. We will bring you the

:27:16.:27:20.

highlights on Christmas Eve. We are back with the Welsh Grand National,

:27:20.:27:25.

whether allowing. Chepstow is waterlogged. They would keep having

:27:25.:27:32.

a look and hope to race and we will be on air on BBC Two. Listen to 5

:27:32.:27:36.

Live on the conditions and also for coverage of the King George at

:27:36.:27:45.

Kempton on Boxing Day. We have had a sensational show jumping. Yes.

:27:45.:27:51.

looks like racing at times. For Nick Skelton and Big Star, the do

:27:51.:27:56.

you move on? He gave it his best shot, he was desperately unlucky at
