formally named four of the people who died in St Helier on Sunday.

They have been confirmed as 30 year-old Izabela Rzeszowska, her

two children, Kinga, five, and two- year-old Kacper. Her father, 56

year-old Marek Garstka also died. The announcement comes less than 24

hours after the islanders join together for a requiem mass in the

capital. They came to remember, to pray and

to greed. This was not an ordinary church service at St Thomas's

Church. It was a service to help an island that is still deep in shock.

People may not come on Sunday, but in moments of grief and distress,

they are coming to seek comfort in their faith. The police are still

investigating how Izabela Rzeszowska, her father and her

children died. The area where the incident is alleged to have

happened is still sealed off. A 30- year-old Polish man, named locally

as Damian Rzeszowska, is under arrest in hospital in connection

with the incident. He continues to recover from his injuries, but he

is not yet fit to be released and we are working with the hospital in

order to determine when he will be fit for detention and interview.

But last night, to the sound of a mass led half in English and half

in Polish, different island communities join together to help

each other get through the events of the past few days. The community

is rallying together and we want to show our support for the family and

friends. We like to show that we feel for them as well. I hope

people will find peace from the difficult set of circumstances that

have developed since Sunday. There is still a sense of shock and

disbelief in the island and for many this service is the first step

to help the wounded community heal. Guernsey's colleges could lose over

�1 million from their budgets. In Ireland's policy council is

proposing to reduce the grant they give to Ladies' College, Elizabeth

College and Blanche land. It will be debated by the States next month.

Overall, we are aiming to reach a position where in seven years' time

the colleges as a whole will be receiving something like �1.1

million less than they do now. That is out of a total grant of just

under �5 million. Sark dressage rider Carl Hester has

won gold at the European Championships. It is an important

victory for him as he prepares for the Olympics. The teams scored a

record number of points and Carl led the way with a personal best.

They gold medal-winning performance. Carl Hester and Utopia impressed

judges with an astonishingly sublime display. He was the shining

star of the British dressage team. I was so desperate to do a mistake

free test. That is where you have to start achieving the points. He

is such a flamboyant tours and he can do a great test. I am delighted.

It was his best ever performance, receiving a score of nearly 83%.

That helped Team GB take the gold with a record-breaking score. The

devotion and passion in training has paid off. I had about two-and-

a-half hours' sleep, but the adrenalin kicked in. We are a

partnership and have been together for six years and I feel

comfortable with him. Carl will be united with Utopia once again for

the British nationals next month, but the main goal is London 2012,

where a repeat performance will put him in with a great chance of

Olympic gold. And more good news for another

Olympic hopeful. Elizabeth Caan has moved into an Olympic qualification

ranking after her performance at last week's world badminton

championships. The final selection will take place next spring.

Good luck to her and Spain with the Olympics, Beckie Herbert will

compete for invent at the European Hockey Championships tomorrow. It

is the last tournament before she builds up for the Olympics. We went

to watch her train in Marlow. All hopes are hooked on nailing her

performance at the Euro hockey championships, especially where

expectations are this five. Going to the Olympics is a huge

achievement, but we want to be on the podium and winning medals.

for the competition tomorrow. It is her last game played for England

before Team GB take their focus towards the Olympics. But Becchio

still needs to pick up key skills. How I carry the ball and take

people on, connecting with the players around me and some set

piece stuff. Past injuries have led to major disappointments which

meant she missed out on the World Cup, Champions Trophy and

Commonwealth Games, but that is not distracting her. It would be

massive to be playing in London. I cannot describe the feeling it

would give you to be walking out in that opening ceremony in a year's

time. I have had the heartbreak of missing the Olympics in the past,

so that makes it even bigger for me. Every athlete dreams of going to

the Olympics. Tomorrow all focus is on the European Championships.

It is Friday and it is that time of the week you have all been waiting

This is a windsurfing board, but it is part of a simulator and a short

while I will be going out to have Aguero at windsurfing. It is nice

and sunny and it should be pretty good conditions. Richard is my

instructor. His is an expensive sport? Yes, it is fairly expensive,

the equipment is expensive. But we have all the equipment down here.

We have a club for children on a Friday morning and they can come

down and used it for �5. We provide tuition courses for adults as well.

to start the day, but it should soon disappeared and we will have

good amounts of sunshine throughout the day. It will feel warm in the

sunshine as well. Out at sea the forecast is for a variable wind. It

is pretty light as well. Good It is pretty flat but tomorrow. The

outlook, across the weekend it is generally fine and dry. Perhaps

more cloud towards the end of Sunday and on Monday we could see

some torrential downpours in the form of showers and some thunder

mixed in with those showers. By the time we get to Tuesday there will

still be some showers. But there will also be some sunnier weather.
