Good evening. As we have been hearing, there's growing concern

among communities along the River Thames and parts of Berkshire and

Surrey where 14 severe flood warnings are in place. The warning

sandbags. It turned out they thought the council had put them there to be

taken. I put notes on them ` do not remove. Residents saw the levels

Because with such a swollen river high tides can reach this far up

stream and today, the Thames barrier was closing to stop that.

The Thames barrier is critical to protecting the areas up`stream. We

will use it as much as we can. At Thames Ditton island, many locals

say they will not be leaving, even if the water gets deeper. We will

Agency has issued a series of severe flood warnings ` the highest level,

focussing on seven locations from Datchet in the north, to Shepperton

in the south. The river's level is rising and the floods are spreading.

Talks aimed at averting another 48`hour Tube strike will resume

tomorrow. The unions and London Underground will be at the

conciliation service, ACAS, to try and resolve the dispute over plans
