Good evening. A woman, who died when part of a building collapsed onto

her her car during strong winds at Holborn last night has been named as

Julie Sillito from North London She was married with three children We

report from the scene where the investigation into what happened is

underway. A scene of utter destruction in central London this

morning. During last night's high winds, the top triangular part of

this building came away. It fell and shattered on the ground below. Some

landing on the roof of this minicab. The driver was 49`year`old Julie

Sillito from North London. Who was married with three grownup sons She

died after being pulled from the car. The Her two passengers, in

their 20s, were taken to hospital. Their injuries aren't thought to be

life`threatening. This is usually a busy stretch of road. It's one of

the main arteries through central London. Holborn underground station

is behind us. Even at 11.00pm last night it would have been busy, a lot

of people on the roads and pavements. A passer`by was also

hurt. He has been taken to hospital. Assessing the damage was a heritage

campaigner who has been researching these types of incidents for years.

He wants Britain's or nat buildings to be inspected more often. I'm

aware of nine, sadly ten deaths in the last 10 years or so where

people, passers`by, have been killed by bits of buildings falling off on

them. It, to my mind, illustrates a need for a general duty to inspect

and maintain your building. Which, tragically, Britain does not have.

The Earlier firefighters returned to inspect the building. Their verdict,

still not safe. This part of high High Holborn will stay closed until

it's secured. Surveyors and inspectors will be allowed in to

establish the cause of collapse As well as strong winds having an

impact right across London, the floods continue to cause problems

along the Thames. 14 severe flood warnings remain in force in parts of

Berkshire and Buckinghamshire. In Surrey, the Fire and Rescue Service

says over 1,100 people in the county have been rescued from the floods

since Sunday. The Environment Agency gave us their assessment of the

situation. River levels are high. Here on the Thames we are beginning

to see the levels drop out now. We didn't have as much rain last night

as we thought we would, we don't think we will see the levels rise up

to where they have been over the last week, which is good news. Two

teenage verse been arrested on suspicion of murdering a man with

learning difficulties in West London. 24`year`old Dean Mayley from

Northholt was attacked by a gang in Greenford last Friday. He was

stabbed in the chest with such ferocity that his heart was pierced.

Dean suffered from a development disorder which gave him a mental age

of a nine`year`old. His family says he was vulnerable and showed a high

degree of trust in those he came across. The The National Archives in

Kew has confirmed that all its records are safe after a fire broke

out nearby. Firefighters were called to two disused water towers which

caught fire early this afternoon. Around 11 million historic documents

of national importance, some dating back over 1,000 years are kept Atta

chive. After last night's strong winds and the week's heavy rain

let's get the weather forecast now from Kate. Good evening. Through the

course of the day we've seen those damaging winds gradually start to

ease. Tonight, it is set to be clear, which means it's set to be

rather chilly. The Met Office have issued a yellow weather warning for

ice. It's only going to affect the rural locations out towards the

countryside, the more sheltered spots where the temperature is

likely to dip down towards zero That is where we could get ground

frost tomorrow morning. For the rest of us temperatures above two or

three Celsius. We have a clear and dry start to Sunday morning. Plenty

of blue sky and sunshine. A quieter day, the wind a lot lighter. By the

afternoon, temperatures in central London into double figures around

Celsius. We will have cloud thickening on Monday morning. Rain

will arrive throughout the course course of the day. The same for

Tuesday. Nothing on the scale that we've had for the last few weeks.
