Tonight, new details of how the Glasgow helicopter crash unfolded, | :00:00. | :00:11.
leaving at least nine dead. There was no Mayday call as it fell out of | :00:12. | :00:15.
the sky - investigators are combing the site for more evidence. This | :00:16. | :00:24.
continues to be a difficult and complex operation. A guard of honour | :00:25. | :00:29.
as the bodies of four victims are taken from the site. Police are not | :00:30. | :00:32.
ruling out finding more. We'll be hearing from the families devastated | :00:33. | :00:35.
by the disaster. Also tonight: Some of the big energy | :00:36. | :00:42.
companies say they'll pass on savings to customers, after the | :00:43. | :00:45.
Government intervenes. The Lee Rigby murder trial is told | :00:46. | :00:48.
how one his alleged killers had a look of "pure evil" as he carried | :00:49. | :00:54.
out the attack. We meet the kids from Korea, at | :00:55. | :00:58.
school for 13 hours a day, as British pupils head for the bottom | :00:59. | :01:03.
of the class. And it's Cyber Monday - retailers | :01:04. | :01:06.
expect the busiest online shopping day ever across Britain. | :01:07. | :01:14.
In the sport, the sack race, seven managers in seven days. | :01:15. | :01:41.
Good evening and welcome to the BBC's News at Six. The wreckage of | :01:42. | :01:48.
the helicopter which crashed into a Glasgow pub on Friday night has been | :01:49. | :01:52.
lifted from the scene. More details have emerged about the final moments | :01:53. | :01:56.
before the disaster. Investigators say there was no Mayday call and | :01:57. | :01:59.
that the helicopter fell straight down out of the sky. It's now known | :02:00. | :02:05.
that nine people were killed when it came down, and tonight 12 people | :02:06. | :02:10.
remain in hospital. Three are said to be in a serious condition. Our | :02:11. | :02:14.
Scotland Correspondent James Cook sent this report. For a moment | :02:15. | :02:29.
today, this city held its breath. In the December air, this helicopter | :02:30. | :02:33.
was gently prised away from the pub. Looking on, two sisters who | :02:34. | :02:40.
survived the crash. For them, it was almost too much to bear. For some | :02:41. | :02:47.
strange reason, it was relief. I thought, at last, whoever is still | :02:48. | :02:55.
trapped, they can get them out. More faces of the dead are now being made | :02:56. | :03:00.
public. By mid afternoon, police said nine bodies had been recovered | :03:01. | :03:03.
from the scene and the destruction and the scale of the challenge here | :03:04. | :03:10.
is now plain to see. This continues to be a difficult and complex | :03:11. | :03:15.
operation. A painstaking process is under way to search and preserve the | :03:16. | :03:20.
scene am which is of course subject to investigation. The uncertainties | :03:21. | :03:26.
of the families of those who have died is at the front of our minds. | :03:27. | :03:31.
That investigation is said to be going well. Experts they there are | :03:32. | :03:38.
three theories, pilot error, engine problems, or a catastrophic | :03:39. | :03:43.
mechanical failure. The helicopter has descended vertically and broken | :03:44. | :03:48.
through the building into the rooms below. We have recorded radio | :03:49. | :03:52.
information and transmissions and I can confirm there were no emergency | :03:53. | :03:57.
transmissions from the pilot before this accident. This is the moment | :03:58. | :04:02.
the families of those who died here have been hoping for but also | :04:03. | :04:07.
dreading. There is a great sense of the city of Glasgow standing | :04:08. | :04:12.
alongside them in support. Tonight, with little ceremony, the wreckage | :04:13. | :04:16.
was driven away for detailed examination. There was a more | :04:17. | :04:23.
poignant farewell from the emergency services, as tributes were paid to | :04:24. | :04:28.
the city's courage and its character. | :04:29. | :04:36.
Relatives of some of the victims have been waiting for official | :04:37. | :04:39.
confirmation that they've lost family members. Police say they are | :04:40. | :04:42.
working as fast as they can to give them clarity. Our correspondent | :04:43. | :04:45.
Chris Buckler has been speaking to some of those caught up in the | :04:46. | :04:51.
tragedy. The gloom has settled over Glasgow, and despite the cranes and | :04:52. | :04:56.
heavy machinery, there is a quiet on the streets around The Clutha. In | :04:57. | :05:09.
many cases people still seem to be taking in what happened at the | :05:10. | :05:16.
weekend. They were like brothers. John stood vigil throughout the | :05:17. | :05:28.
hours of Friday morning. Today, any hope his father survived was lost. I | :05:29. | :05:34.
suppose my heart is broken. It has been torn out but I have got to go | :05:35. | :05:43.
and identify his body and do that. I need to be strong for my sisters. | :05:44. | :05:48.
Throughout the city, there are people who have spent the weekend | :05:49. | :05:53.
worrying, trying to work out if they knew anyone who could have been in | :05:54. | :06:05.
the -- in The Clutha bar. It is easy to come and talk about politics and | :06:06. | :06:10.
it is something I hate it and I told them to get on their bike, and we | :06:11. | :06:17.
would fallout, and then come back, so of course we are so I will really | :06:18. | :06:28.
miss Samuel McGhee. There is still deep concern to people pulled out of | :06:29. | :06:35.
this pub, and for people with only cuts and bruises, a growing relief. | :06:36. | :06:42.
I am lucky I have still got my family because if we had died in | :06:43. | :06:47.
that pub, our families would be devastated as so many people are | :06:48. | :06:52.
devastated today. Some families have been frustrated at the time it has | :06:53. | :06:56.
taken for the bodies to be removed from The Clutha. But there is | :06:57. | :07:07.
support, badly needed for people who have lost their friends and | :07:08. | :07:10.
families. And we can speak to James Cook in Glasgow now. Some details | :07:11. | :07:15.
have emerged but there is still an awful lot to learn. That's right, so | :07:16. | :07:22.
what do we know? Nine people have died, 12 remain in hospital, three | :07:23. | :07:27.
of them seriously injured, and we know a little bit more about what | :07:28. | :07:31.
happened to this helicopter in the moments before it plunged into the | :07:32. | :07:37.
pub. There was no Mayday call, and the eyewitnesses who said they saw | :07:38. | :07:43.
it falling like a stone have been backed up by the investigators. We | :07:44. | :07:46.
get to the stage of the investigation and we know that what | :07:47. | :07:49.
is happening is that the wreckage has been taken down to Farnborough | :07:50. | :07:55.
for detailed examination, and they are doing a more thorough | :07:56. | :07:59.
examination of the scene. They have still not confirmed the final number | :08:00. | :08:03.
of the dead, but the images we have seen today have underlined the | :08:04. | :08:12.
city's shock and disbelief. Some of the big six energy companies | :08:13. | :08:15.
say they'll reduce their planned price hikes after the Government | :08:16. | :08:18.
announced changes to their costs. Ministers say the average household | :08:19. | :08:20.
should save about ?50, although bills will still go up. Labour | :08:21. | :08:23.
dismissed the changes as smoke and mirrors. Here's our industry | :08:24. | :08:28.
correspondent, John Moylan. For weeks, the Government has faced | :08:29. | :08:33.
questions about soaring energy bills and Labour's plans for a price | :08:34. | :08:36.
freeze so today the energy giants came under pressure to respond to | :08:37. | :08:42.
Government plans aimed at knocking ?50 off bills. The largest energy | :08:43. | :08:47.
supplier, British Gas, hiked up prices in November. Its boss says it | :08:48. | :08:52.
will now cut bills on January the 1st. | :08:53. | :08:57.
Why wait until January to cut prices? We are doing what we can | :08:58. | :09:02.
when we can do. This is an important issue and we are bringing them down | :09:03. | :09:08.
as fast as we can. Average energy bills would have hit ?1446 after the | :09:09. | :09:15.
recent price rises, most households face really big increases. NPower's | :09:16. | :09:37.
was the highest. This family struggle to pay their energy bill, | :09:38. | :09:42.
which despite the saving, is still going higher. We are saving ?50 per | :09:43. | :09:48.
year, but our bill has just gone up to ?140 per year so it will not save | :09:49. | :09:55.
too much money. In the Commons, the Energy Secretary said the size of | :09:56. | :10:01.
the saving would depend on the firm. These cost reductions will make sure | :10:02. | :10:06.
average energy bills are lower in 2014 than they would have otherwise | :10:07. | :10:11.
been, on average by ?50 per household. As the major energy | :10:12. | :10:15.
companies have confirmed, there will be no need for price rises in 2014 | :10:16. | :10:22.
unless there is a major change in wholesale costs. Labour says that | :10:23. | :10:28.
bills will still go up this winter. They have done a smoke and mirrors | :10:29. | :10:33.
deal with the energy companies. Only a Labour Government will stand up to | :10:34. | :10:41.
the energy companies and freeze -- freeze prices. Will ?50 saving be | :10:42. | :10:48.
enough to stand up to them? Our Deputy Political Editor James | :10:49. | :10:52.
Landale is at Westminster now. In political terms, is this enough to | :10:53. | :10:58.
blunt Labour 's policy on energy prices? There is a real tussle going | :10:59. | :11:05.
on, Labour have dominated debate in recent months with their promise to | :11:06. | :11:10.
try to freeze energy prices and the Government are keen to change the | :11:11. | :11:14.
subject. They want to move back towards the economy, where they | :11:15. | :11:17.
think they have a better story to tell. Ministers know that the | :11:18. | :11:24.
promise to take ?50 of people's bills will not be enough to trump | :11:25. | :11:28.
Labour 's policy but they think it will be enough to neutralise it so | :11:29. | :11:31.
that they can move the debate on back to telling people what they are | :11:32. | :11:37.
trying to do to fix the economy. What has surprised me today is how | :11:38. | :11:40.
few Conservative MPs I have spoken to who think the ?50 policy is | :11:41. | :11:45.
enough. Many say that the Government has to do more, in particular to cut | :11:46. | :11:51.
renewable energy subsidies, which at the moment is paid for out of | :11:52. | :11:58.
customers' bills. That is why they are looking to George Osborne to do | :11:59. | :12:02.
a little bit more, if he can, when he sets out his plans on Thursday. | :12:03. | :12:09.
The prosecution in the Lee Rigby murder trial has heard witness | :12:10. | :12:12.
statements from those who saw him knocked down and then attacked in | :12:13. | :12:14.
Woolwich. Michael Adebolajo and Michael Adebowale deny the | :12:15. | :12:21.
fusilier's murder. His estranged wife left the court in tears as the | :12:22. | :12:24.
witness statements were read in court. From the Old Bailey, June | :12:25. | :12:29.
Kelly reports. The two men on trial, Michael Adebolajo and Michael | :12:30. | :12:32.
Adebowale are pleading not guilty to the charge of murder. Today the jury | :12:33. | :12:37.
heard statements from members of the public who witnessed the death of | :12:38. | :12:41.
Lee Rigby. One described it as a frenzied attack by two knife | :12:42. | :12:47.
wielding crazy men. For Lee Rigby's formally, this was another | :12:48. | :12:51.
distressing day of graphic evidence. At the front of the group here, his | :12:52. | :12:56.
girlfriend. There were more details of his final journey and of his | :12:57. | :13:01.
savage death. Lee Rigby was almost back at his barracks in Woolwich | :13:02. | :13:07.
when the defendants drove their car at him. The jury has seen the | :13:08. | :13:13.
footage of the car hitting him. Michael Adebolajo on the left and | :13:14. | :13:18.
Michael Adebowale. A number of witnesses described at how they | :13:19. | :13:24.
hacked at Lee Rigby's body as they tried to behead him. In a statement, | :13:25. | :13:28.
one witness said of Michael Adebolajo: | :13:29. | :13:34.
Another witness, here in the body warmer, was in tears as he gave | :13:35. | :13:44.
evidence. Michael Adebolajo's barrister told him, my client is | :13:45. | :13:47.
anxious that you understand there is nothing you could have done to stop | :13:48. | :14:00.
it. As the Glasgow helicopter wreckage is removed, investigators | :14:01. | :14:04.
revealed there was no Mayday call before the crash. Coming up... Is it | :14:05. | :14:11.
a big deal? I don't think so. Olympic diver Tom Daley says he's in | :14:12. | :14:19.
a relationship another man. In Sportsday, back in the running. Tim | :14:20. | :14:29.
Bresnan takes his place in the England Ashes squad for the second | :14:30. | :14:31.
Test that starts on Wednesday. New international league tables on | :14:32. | :14:39.
education will be published tomorrow. They will focus on the | :14:40. | :14:44.
teaching of maths and will make grim reading for many British parents. | :14:45. | :14:49.
The last table showed the UK in 28th position out of 65 countries, and | :14:50. | :14:53.
the latest figures are unlikely to show much improvement. The best | :14:54. | :14:57.
results are expected to come from East Asia, among them China, | :14:58. | :15:03.
Singapore and South Korea. But, as Reeta Chakrabarti report from soul, | :15:04. | :15:06.
there are heavy costs and extremely long hours for students in learning | :15:07. | :15:15.
this way. South Korea, where a child's life revolves around | :15:16. | :15:16.
education. Regular school is followed in the evening by private | :15:17. | :15:20.
school, a double shift of schooling, making them some of the most | :15:21. | :15:27.
formidable pupils in the world. 16-year-old goes to school in | :15:28. | :15:37.
gangland in Seoul. Made famous in gangland style. After school she | :15:38. | :15:41.
lives with her brother, but far from relaxing at home, she set off again | :15:42. | :15:47.
for her second round of study. Even the little ones do a double shift. | :15:48. | :15:52.
Long after what might be considered bedtime in the UK, these tots are | :15:53. | :16:02.
still working. She then spends hours here at the Private Cranmer, just | :16:03. | :16:07.
like the great majority of Korean children. I get tired usually but I | :16:08. | :16:14.
can forget about it when I see my results. They are kind of good. She | :16:15. | :16:25.
gets home after 11, having spent a mammoth 13 hours in study. It is bed | :16:26. | :16:30.
at 2am and then up again at 6:30am to do it all over again. | :16:31. | :16:36.
TRANSLATION: We have few natural resources, we only have people. So | :16:37. | :16:41.
anyone who wants to be successful, we have to stand out. As a mother, I | :16:42. | :16:44.
don't feel comfortable about this but it's the only thing she can do | :16:45. | :16:49.
to achieve her dream. Result of this nonstop study is children who are | :16:50. | :16:54.
fantastic at tests. We set these 15 and 16-year-old son GCSE maths | :16:55. | :16:58.
questions. They did them in half the expected time, with most of them | :16:59. | :17:02.
getting full marks. I like going to school because there are many good | :17:03. | :17:08.
friends and teachers. Sometimes I'm very exhausted, but I don't mind | :17:09. | :17:14.
because I'm studying now for what I want to do in the future. For the | :17:15. | :17:19.
economy, this huge investment in education has taken the country in | :17:20. | :17:24.
just two generations from mass illiteracy to technological | :17:25. | :17:27.
powerhouse. Korean brands are internationally famous. The country | :17:28. | :17:31.
has built itself up with extraordinary single-mindedness | :17:32. | :17:33.
since the end of the war with North Korea 60 years ago. But its success | :17:34. | :17:39.
has come at a cost. The pressure on young people is huge, and the | :17:40. | :17:43.
suicide rate is the highest of all developed countries. Is this | :17:44. | :17:46.
pressurised environment really sustainable? | :17:47. | :17:51.
TRANSLATION: I don't think any other country has achieved such rapid | :17:52. | :17:55.
growth as South Korea in the past 50 years. We have focused on school | :17:56. | :17:58.
achievement, and that has put a lot of people under stress, hence the | :17:59. | :18:02.
high suicide rates. We still have a long way to go, but we are doing | :18:03. | :18:06.
some soul-searching and trying to make our people happier. In many | :18:07. | :18:14.
ways Korea is the envy of the Western world. Ministers in | :18:15. | :18:17.
Westminster and beyond look longingly at its education record | :18:18. | :18:22.
and remodelling their own systems to try to compete. But career's | :18:23. | :18:26.
phenomenal success has come at a real price for its people, are | :18:27. | :18:29.
priced the country is now gradually starting to weigh up. David Cameron | :18:30. | :18:38.
is in China, leading Briton's biggest ever trade delegation to the | :18:39. | :18:42.
country. He said he wanted two-tier down trade barriers. China says it | :18:43. | :18:47.
could invest in key projects here, such as the ace -- HS two rail link. | :18:48. | :18:53.
Reporting from Beijing, Mr Cameron insists he is not ignoring concerns | :18:54. | :18:57.
about the country's respect for human rights. This report does | :18:58. | :19:03.
contain some flash photography. Welcome to Beijing, a capital full | :19:04. | :19:06.
of both promise and menace. Any visitor here has to choose which to | :19:07. | :19:14.
focus on. It is clear that David Cameron has made his choice. He was | :19:15. | :19:18.
due here back in April, but the Chinese cancelled that trip, angered | :19:19. | :19:24.
by his decision to meet Tibet's spiritual leader, the Dalai Lama. | :19:25. | :19:30.
David Cameron is promising China mutual respect and understanding. | :19:31. | :19:34.
Some fear that is a diplomatic code for simply marching in step with | :19:35. | :19:39.
this country's Communist leadership. Not true, the Prime Minister says. | :19:40. | :19:45.
But he insists his focus is rightly on British jobs. I see China's rise | :19:46. | :19:50.
as an opportunity, not just for the people of this country but for | :19:51. | :19:54.
Britain and for the world. Britain wants China to realise its dream. | :19:55. | :20:01.
David Cameron dreams of Chinese money paying for British projects, | :20:02. | :20:09.
like high-speed rail. Premier Li responded by saying the two men's | :20:10. | :20:13.
relationship was now moving at high speed. They agreed a human rights | :20:14. | :20:18.
dialogue. What does that mean? Well, we weren't allowed to ask. Are | :20:19. | :20:22.
there no questions at this news conference? This is what the Prime | :20:23. | :20:29.
Minister came here to do, to secure Chinese investment and help sell | :20:30. | :20:34.
British products. Today, Jaguar Land Rover announced Chinese orders for | :20:35. | :20:39.
100,000 cars. He brought with him 120 British businessmen and women, | :20:40. | :20:42.
including the apprentices Karen Brady. His reward for what Beijing | :20:43. | :20:52.
now calls an indispensable partnership, talks and then dinner | :20:53. | :20:57.
with China's president. I simply don't accept that there is a choice | :20:58. | :21:01.
when you come to China, that you either talk about growth, investment | :21:02. | :21:05.
and jobs, or you talk about human rights. You do both. Outside the | :21:06. | :21:12.
great Hall of the people, a reminder that for all the talk of reform | :21:13. | :21:18.
here, people have few of the freedoms we take for granted. This | :21:19. | :21:25.
is a country that has the money, the markets that make a relationship so | :21:26. | :21:28.
attractive for a British Prime Minister. It is also a country where | :21:29. | :21:32.
you are stopped by the police for filming in the main square, and | :21:33. | :21:38.
prevented from asking questions at a news conference. That, in a | :21:39. | :21:41.
nutshell, is the dilemma David Cameron faces here. A 23-year-old | :21:42. | :21:53.
man has admitted murdering George Williams, the daughter of a police | :21:54. | :21:58.
detective. Georgia was 17 when she disappeared in May, her body was | :21:59. | :22:02.
found in woodland near Wrexham. Jamie Reynolds had initially denied | :22:03. | :22:05.
the charge but changed his plea as his trial was about to begin. The | :22:06. | :22:11.
Olympic diver Tom Daley has posted a video online revealing that he is in | :22:12. | :22:15.
a relationship with another man. The 19-year-old said he couldn't be | :22:16. | :22:20.
happier, but admitted that talking about his sexuality in public was a | :22:21. | :22:27.
difficult decision. He is a poster boy of British sport. London 2012 | :22:28. | :22:31.
medallist, teen idol and global brand. In an ideal world I wouldn't | :22:32. | :22:38.
be doing this video because it shouldn't matter. But today, in a | :22:39. | :22:42.
message she filmed on his phone, a personal statement about a | :22:43. | :22:45.
relationship that started in the spring. I met someone and they make | :22:46. | :22:55.
me feel so happy, so safe and everything just feels great. That | :22:56. | :23:04.
someone is a guy. This afternoon it was back to training, at the | :23:05. | :23:08.
Plymouth Poole where he spends hours every week. Tom Daley said he made | :23:09. | :23:14.
this announcement today because he wanted to stop the rumours and | :23:15. | :23:18.
speculation and just get on with his job. He admitted some friends and | :23:19. | :23:24.
family had mixed opinions about him going public, but he thanked those | :23:25. | :23:28.
who have offered support. It was out of the blue for me as well. I've | :23:29. | :23:33.
heard it today. I thought first of all, very brave. Secondly, I think | :23:34. | :23:38.
it makes no difference whatsoever. I know that the diving world will | :23:39. | :23:43.
treat him as the same old Tom. Campaigners have praised his | :23:44. | :23:46.
honesty. Many top sportsmen and women are reluctant to be open about | :23:47. | :23:50.
their sexuality. This basketball star came out six years ago. The | :23:51. | :23:59.
message she put out today will help young people be more resilient. The | :24:00. | :24:02.
word he said today will help families embrace their children, | :24:03. | :24:04.
will help children embrace themselves, and that is a big story. | :24:05. | :24:10.
It was always in the back of my head that something like that could | :24:11. | :24:15.
happen. He said his whole world had changed. But some things stay the | :24:16. | :24:19.
same. He says his focus is still bringing home gold from Rio. Today | :24:20. | :24:27.
could be the busiest day in online shopping history, as retailers slash | :24:28. | :24:31.
prices ahead of Christmas. One credit card company predicts its | :24:32. | :24:36.
customers will spend ?450 million online before the day is out. That | :24:37. | :24:42.
is an increase of 18% on last year. Shoppers are spending over ?5,000 | :24:43. | :24:48.
every second, which means more than ?100,000 is being spent in the time | :24:49. | :24:54.
I've taken to introduce this report. Our business correspondent is at a | :24:55. | :24:56.
distribution centre in Milton Keynes. Just to give you a sense of | :24:57. | :25:06.
the scale of this place, you can fit 14 football pitches in here. This is | :25:07. | :25:09.
one of the biggest retail warehouses in the country, run by John Lewis. | :25:10. | :25:15.
And there are 80 kilometres of conveyor belts here, funnelling | :25:16. | :25:19.
orders around the building. They are processing on average every second. | :25:20. | :25:26.
It is all very automated and highly efficient. Wisbey is Mark Lewis, | :25:27. | :25:32.
online director. Walk us through what we are seeing here. You've | :25:33. | :25:36.
already been breaking records. That's right. These are some of the | :25:37. | :25:41.
busiest days of the year online. It kick-started on Black Friday, where | :25:42. | :25:45.
sales on the day were twice as high as you'd normally expect at this | :25:46. | :25:49.
time of year. We continued to be busy through the weekend and busy | :25:50. | :25:52.
today. You are seeing all those ordered -- orders being packed up | :25:53. | :25:59.
and shipped out to customers homes. They are being driven by smartphones | :26:00. | :26:04.
and tablets, the mobile devices. That's right. Customers are changing | :26:05. | :26:08.
how they shop. They are shopping earlier in the morning on their | :26:09. | :26:11.
smartphones when they wake up, and they are even shopping later into | :26:12. | :26:15.
the evening while watching TV on their tablets from the comfort of | :26:16. | :26:21.
their own sofa. It's worth pointing out that these mobile sales have | :26:22. | :26:24.
come from nowhere. In just the space of a few years, you might be | :26:25. | :26:28.
wondering, is this the future of retail? Guess what, the bestselling | :26:29. | :26:34.
item is likely to be this, the tablet computer. When all of these | :26:35. | :26:40.
get opened on Christmas Day there is going to be another spike in online | :26:41. | :26:45.
shopping. This is building up to be a mobile Christmas for shopping. | :26:46. | :26:52.
It's time to look at the weather now. | :26:53. | :26:57.
A grey day particularly around the wash. Mist and fog lingering on. | :26:58. | :27:04.
That is likely to expand down through the Midlands towards the | :27:05. | :27:07.
south-west of England. Elsewhere, a lot of clout but not much rain. | :27:08. | :27:12.
However, there will be some in the north and west of Scotland. A great | :27:13. | :27:22.
start to the day one way or another. At least it is a dry start for the | :27:23. | :27:28.
majority. The West Wales has a little bit of light Ranger in the | :27:29. | :27:32.
morning. Apart from that, just a lot of cloud around and it's not overly | :27:33. | :27:37.
warm. Thicker cloud in Scotland, a bit more of a breeze and some rain | :27:38. | :27:42.
to contend with. A dull and wet day across much of northern and western | :27:43. | :27:46.
Scotland. The weather front slips southwards slowly, so there will be | :27:47. | :27:50.
some rain in Northern Ireland. Some fog may linger right the way through | :27:51. | :27:55.
the day. Where it lingers, temperatures will be struggling. | :27:56. | :27:59.
Away from any fog, we are looking at seven or eight degrees. The weather | :28:00. | :28:04.
front makes good progress southwards through the day on Wednesday. It | :28:05. | :28:08.
will take a while until it clears the south coast. We stopped off wet | :28:09. | :28:13.
across southern counties of England. Behind it, we should see some | :28:14. | :28:18.
sunshine coming out. Equally, there will be some sharp showers | :28:19. | :28:21.
developing in a fairly windy Scotland. The wind changes direction | :28:22. | :28:26.
and affects us all on Thursday. We are into some cold, arctic air. | :28:27. | :28:30.
There will be a significant wind-chill factor. Significant | :28:31. | :28:37.
wind-chill factor to go with the wind, we will also see some snow. | :28:38. | :28:41.
Most of that is likely to crop up in Scotland, and not just over the | :28:42. | :28:50.
hills. That's all from us. We can | :28:51. | :28:51. |
