The daughter of one of the Newry women stabbed to death in Turkey

this summer has given evidence in a hearing. The hearing was to

determine whether because former boy friend should undergo tests to

determine his age. Back in Turkey to give evidence

against her former boyfriend, who is accused of murdering her mother

and a family friend. Shannon Graham told the court she was deeply

saddened by what happened in the summer. She said that, contrary to

some reports, Recep Cetin had not asked her to marry him but she did

say that her mother had wanted her to leave Turkey and never return.

She thought that might have motivated Recep Cetin to kill

Marion Graham and Kathy Dinsmore. Their bodies were found in a wood

on the outskirts of a town in August. Recep Cetin claimed that

Marion Graham attack him first. He said he then lost consciousness and

did not know what happened next. But the lawyer for the families of

Marion Graham and Kathy Dinsmore said that was a logical. He spoke

to the media after the hearing. TRANSLATION: We believe there will

be a fair trial. He added that they were happy but the court's decision

that Recep Cetin should have a bone marrow test to find out his age.

Dickie it claims he is 17 but the funny thing to use older. If they

are right, Recep Cetin will be transferred from the juvenile to

the adult courts, whether punishments are more severe.

Shannon's father spoke briefly to say he had confidence in the

Turkish legal process. The next hearing is expected in February.

The breakaway line between Derry and Bellerana has been closed after

a ship ran aground near the track. It is believed the vessel was on

its way to Turkey when it got on to trouble Alf Culmore Point. It has

been towed into Lisahally quays in Derry. A bus substitution is in

questioned by the police following an incident at Debenhams in Belfast

city centre yesterday. Eyewitnesses said a man, who appeared to be

carrying a rifle, threatened staff at a perfume counter in the store

at Castlecourt. He was arrested by officers armed with Taser stun guns,

which were not used. A suspected firearm was recovered at the scene.

A police spokesperson said the man was being held in connection with

possession of a weapon. The Police Ombudsman has been informed, in

keeping with normal procedure. A fire which caused extensive

damage to a GAA clubhouse in Londonderry is not being treated as

suspicious. The blaze broke out at Sean Dolan's in Creggan in the

early hours of yesterday morning. It took fire crews more than two

hours to bring the blaze under control. Following an investigation,

the police now say they believe it was started accidentally.

Now, who lived in a house like this? It's a difficult challenge to

find out if the family has died or moved away. But a group of people

in County Tyrone has risen to the challenge, with a little help from

the internet, to trace the history of many abandoned homes. Louise

Cullen has been finding out more. This deserted town until forms of

to talk about those things and are keen to have them handed on.
