Good evening. This is BBC Newsline with Donna Traynor. The headlines | :00:13. | :00:23.
:00:23. | :00:25. | ||
this Thursday evening. 350 jobs are to go up the Ulster Bank in | :00:25. | :00:30.
Northern Ireland. A father and his two sons are rested after a man | :00:30. | :00:38.
shot dead in Comber. A boost tonight for school budgets. Big | :00:38. | :00:43.
changes at the top of a troubled housing association ahead of a | :00:43. | :00:47.
government report. Parents of children who need braces could now | :00:47. | :00:51.
be expected to pay for the service. It's the most important game of the | :00:51. | :00:55.
season so far for Ulster's rugby players. But are all the big names | :00:55. | :00:57.
fit for tomorrow's European showdown with Leicester? | :00:57. | :01:00.
And after today's sunshine, temperatures will tumble away under | :01:00. | :01:03.
clear skies tonight - find out if the chillier weather is here to | :01:03. | :01:13.
Today has been described by a banking union as a dark day for | :01:13. | :01:18.
staff and customers. Workers at the Ulster Bank have been told that 350 | :01:18. | :01:22.
of them are to be made redundant in Northern Ireland, 600 in the | :01:22. | :01:28.
Republic. This is the latest jobs cut to hit the bank. The management | :01:28. | :01:37.
says it's a necessary move. Kevin Magee has more. | :01:37. | :01:44.
This is an example of what went wrong at the Ulster Bank. A lone | :01:44. | :01:48.
was given to bite this site but like many others the developer went | :01:48. | :01:54.
bust and could not repay the loan. In the first nine months of last | :01:54. | :02:00.
year alone the Ulster Bank wrote off bad debts, many related to | :02:00. | :02:05.
property deals like this one. Today, staff were told 350 jobs will be | :02:05. | :02:10.
lost in Northern Ireland at the Ulster Bank move to reduce costs. | :02:10. | :02:13.
So that went into the back this morning know that a beginner is | :02:13. | :02:18.
that was to be made. When the announcement was made the Bank did | :02:18. | :02:24.
not give much details. There is anger because staff have made a big | :02:24. | :02:30.
contribution and they feel let down. The Ulster Bank has 2300 staff in | :02:30. | :02:36.
Northern Ireland. 350 will lose their jobs and 600 will go in | :02:37. | :02:41.
Northern Ireland. The bank declined to discuss the redundancies. In a | :02:41. | :02:45.
short statement it blamed the current economic climate and said | :02:45. | :02:49.
the cuts were being made as part of its overall business strategy to | :02:49. | :02:53.
ensure that it can compete effectively in the market. All the | :02:53. | :02:56.
major banks in Northern Ireland have been affected by the property | :02:56. | :03:00.
crash. Today's job losses and the Ulster Bank are indicative of what | :03:01. | :03:06.
is happening across the banking sector. It is not the end of the | :03:06. | :03:11.
story. When you look at the other banks we can expect EXT although | :03:11. | :03:16.
statements at the end of the year to say they will be tried to manage | :03:16. | :03:22.
with smaller staff. The shake-out will continue. The Ulster Bank has | :03:22. | :03:25.
90 branches on this side of the border. There was no mention of | :03:25. | :03:30.
branch closures but branch staff will be affected. Cuts will be made | :03:30. | :03:33.
in all areas of the Bank's operations. | :03:33. | :03:36.
Our business and economics editor, Jim Fitzpatrick, is live outside | :03:36. | :03:43.
the Ulster Bank's Headquarters in Belfast. Why do you think the Bank | :03:43. | :03:48.
is shedding these jobs now? Kevin mention the property crash and that | :03:48. | :03:54.
is key. Remember the property boom, everybody partied, and nobody party | :03:54. | :04:03.
harder than the banks and now they have a terrible hangover. Ulster | :04:03. | :04:11.
Bank cost its parent bank, RBS, which we own, 1 billion in | :04:11. | :04:16.
property write-offs. Cuts are being made in order that RBS can return | :04:16. | :04:26.
:04:26. | :04:28. | ||
some valuable took its shareholders, the tax payers. So many businesses | :04:28. | :04:33.
at the moment need money yet we learned today that in best Northern | :04:33. | :04:39.
Ireland is giving back grant money to Stormont. Why is that happening? | :04:39. | :04:42.
It is not unconnected to what we are seeing with the banks. | :04:42. | :04:46.
Businesses need to get money from banks or elsewhere before they can | :04:46. | :04:51.
get top-up investment. If they cannot borrow from the banks, then | :04:51. | :04:55.
that is a problem. Also, many businesses are so scared of the | :04:55. | :04:59.
Environment at the moment that they are not even asking for the money. | :04:59. | :05:05.
One of the rules is that invest Northern Ireland has to give the | :05:05. | :05:13.
money back to a central pot. Also today we had an interest being by | :05:13. | :05:23.
:05:23. | :05:23. | ||
eight. -- an interesting buyout. Yes, a software company. We also | :05:23. | :05:29.
have the sale of one of our biggest car dealerships which has been | :05:29. | :05:33.
bought by the second beat his dealer in the UK in a 100 million | :05:33. | :05:40.
pound deal. The Three members of the same family have been arrested | :05:40. | :05:43.
in connection with the murder of Philip Strickland in County Down. | :05:43. | :05:47.
The 36-year-old's body was found in a car on the Quarry Road just off | :05:47. | :05:51.
the Ballydrain Road in Comber in the early hours of this morning. | :05:51. | :06:01.
:06:01. | :06:02. | ||
He'd been shot. Claire Savage has spent the day in the town. | :06:02. | :06:05.
This police lorry was used in the recovery of the car that Philip | :06:05. | :06:09.
Strickland was murdered in. He was shot from behind while sitting in | :06:09. | :06:13.
the front Street. Passing motorist tried to give him Thursday but he | :06:13. | :06:21.
was pronounced dead at in hospital. At about 9:15pm I heard a deep thud. | :06:21. | :06:27.
I had excited female voices. So I thought the car had gone into the | :06:27. | :06:33.
hedge. And somebody was standing outside talking about it. | :06:33. | :06:36.
police would not be drawn on the motive about the attack as they | :06:36. | :06:43.
have no arrested a father and his two sons, aged 54, 26 and 25, and | :06:43. | :06:48.
from Comber. It is a very vicious murder and in an area such as | :06:48. | :06:53.
Comber with a low crime rate it is highly unexpected. We would like to | :06:53. | :06:56.
provide reassurance that investigation is being led by | :06:56. | :07:02.
specialist detectives from the crime operations department, | :07:02. | :07:09.
supported by a uniformed colleagues. Local politicians did not want to | :07:09. | :07:13.
speculate. It is just a shock and I think it will be particularly | :07:13. | :07:18.
shocking to people around Strangford Lough that it has | :07:18. | :07:24.
happened in such a raw, peaceful area. The human instinct and the | :07:24. | :07:28.
journalistic instincts will be to try to find an explanation but what | :07:28. | :07:34.
ever that exploration is it does not excuse murder. Murder is wrong. | :07:34. | :07:38.
Police say there were a number of other vehicles in the area at the | :07:38. | :07:42.
time of the killing and they would like help in identifying them. The | :07:42. | :07:45.
Minister for Education has announced the amount of extra money | :07:45. | :07:55.
:07:55. | :07:57. | ||
schools will get over the next three years. It totals 120 million. | :07:57. | :08:00.
The funding means that instead of a threatened cut in the school | :08:00. | :08:04.
budgets of almost 3% in the first year, the drop will be much lower - | :08:04. | :08:10.
at 0.2%. The minister, John O'Dowd, is here. | :08:10. | :08:16.
30 million in that first year, 50 million the second, and 75 million | :08:17. | :08:20.
in the third cheer. By is this money coming from? The money has | :08:20. | :08:26.
been agreed with the First Minister, the Deputy First Minister and the | :08:26. | :08:31.
Finance Minister and myself. The money will come out of in a-year | :08:31. | :08:36.
savings, out of a budget review which Mr Wilson will explain | :08:36. | :08:40.
further in a statement next week, and from departmental savings. We | :08:40. | :08:43.
are running a more effective, efficient government than was | :08:43. | :08:48.
previously the case and departments are beginning to see more money's | :08:48. | :08:52.
with inept spending programmes. That will be read directed at this | :08:52. | :08:57.
stage to education. Our schools budget was under serious pressure. | :08:57. | :09:01.
The administration has recognised that. We're also saying we have | :09:01. | :09:05.
assisted schools up this time but no-one is saying bag complete | :09:05. | :09:09.
pressure has been taken off. governing body so that they are | :09:09. | :09:13.
still under severe pressure. But this is a step in the right | :09:13. | :09:18.
direction. Can you do more? It is significant step in the right | :09:18. | :09:28.
direction. 102 million commitment, the executive have recognised the | :09:28. | :09:33.
prize of investment in schools. I have launched a programme of work | :09:33. | :09:38.
which will see the rationalisation of our schools estate. We will see | :09:38. | :09:42.
a more refined management system around schools and any savings | :09:42. | :09:47.
identify from that will be directed toward front line education. | :09:47. | :09:51.
jobs of hundreds of teachers and teaching staff were threatened. Can | :09:51. | :09:55.
they now relax given this extra funding? We were looking at the | :09:55. | :09:59.
very high number of redundancies in education. There will be | :10:00. | :10:04.
redundancies in education in the time ahead. I think we have reduced | :10:04. | :10:08.
that dramatically. I will be sitting down with unions next week | :10:08. | :10:12.
and we will be scared -- discussing how we bring about those | :10:12. | :10:16.
redundancies and what packages I can put on the table to assist and | :10:16. | :10:20.
recognise the contribution of those staff who will believe think | :10:20. | :10:24.
education. How soon will the schools get to know the detail, | :10:24. | :10:29.
because April is the start of the first financial year. I'll be | :10:29. | :10:32.
writing to schools early next week giving them full DK's cost of how | :10:32. | :10:36.
this will affect their budgets. Schools have been studying their | :10:36. | :10:40.
budgets over this last number of weeks and months on they will be | :10:40. | :10:45.
clear that this is a beneficial contribution. But on Monday, or | :10:45. | :10:49.
early next week, I will give them the fine detail. Think you for | :10:49. | :10:53.
coming in. Still to come on the programme. Healthy habits - the | :10:53. | :10:59.
cancer charity using shock treatment to get its message across. | :10:59. | :11:03.
And we speak to the rower Alan Campbell, who has set his sights on | :11:03. | :11:10.
Olympic gold at the London games this summer. | :11:10. | :11:13.
Because of new police powers, more than 4,000 minor criminal offences | :11:13. | :11:19.
in the past nine months haven't had to go through the courts. Instead, | :11:19. | :11:22.
police officers have got the offenders to apologise to their | :11:22. | :11:27.
victims, or repair any damage they have caused. The police say the | :11:27. | :11:31.
system offers a quick solution for victims and cuts down on red tape. | :11:31. | :11:41.
Vincent Kearney reports. Keeping people out of the courts | :11:41. | :11:46.
and preventing them being given a criminal record for minor offences | :11:46. | :11:51.
is skewed as essential to improve the criminal justice system. Police | :11:51. | :11:54.
officers were given new powers last year and encouraged to use their | :11:54. | :11:59.
discretion when dealing with minor crimes. They did so more than 4000 | :11:59. | :12:03.
times during the past nine months, with the approval of the victims of | :12:03. | :12:08.
the crimes. It is reducing bureaucracy but, most important, it | :12:08. | :12:14.
is taking a personal needs of the victim and making sure that they | :12:14. | :12:17.
are taken into account. It does not happen unless we have the agreement | :12:17. | :12:22.
from them. The police say the system is all about using common | :12:22. | :12:26.
sense. To help them to that, officers are provided with a | :12:26. | :12:32.
traffic light like guidance system. Red indicates the most serious | :12:32. | :12:37.
crimes look like murder and discretion should not be applied. | :12:37. | :12:40.
Amber Ind case less serious offences were discretion may be | :12:40. | :12:45.
suitable. Green indicates offences when discretion should be used if | :12:45. | :12:50.
possible. At dense is deemed suitable for this process include | :12:51. | :12:55.
low-level crime like minor shoplifting, minor assault, | :12:55. | :13:00.
disorderly assaults and minor criminal damage. The suspect must | :13:00. | :13:04.
admit the offence and not be a persistent offender for discretion | :13:04. | :13:09.
to be considered. The victim must also give their consent and agreed | :13:09. | :13:14.
to meet the suggested outcome. Outcomes could increase -- include | :13:14. | :13:21.
an apology, repairing damage caused, or paying for an item that was | :13:21. | :13:24.
stolen or damaged. Discretion is not a criminal conviction so the | :13:24. | :13:28.
suspect is not given a criminal record but the details are held on | :13:28. | :13:32.
police records and can be considered by officers if there are | :13:32. | :13:36.
further offences. If a suspect refuses to take part, details of | :13:36. | :13:40.
the offence are sent to the Public Prosecution Service to decide if | :13:40. | :13:45.
the case should go to court. Those who work with victims of crime say | :13:45. | :13:49.
the majority who have been involved support the process. They like the | :13:49. | :13:54.
fact that it is practical, it is visible and it is faster than going | :13:54. | :13:58.
through what might be called the traditional criminal justice system. | :13:58. | :14:03.
From April the sheer, police will be able to offer fixed penalty | :14:03. | :14:13.

notices is and on-the-spot fines Now, the problems that Northern | :14:14. | :14:18.
Amen's biggest social housing organisation. Senior executives and | :14:18. | :14:23.
board members have left helm housing. This is a head of the | :14:23. | :14:26.
publication of a pop -- government publication next week which is | :14:26. | :14:34.
expected to be critical of several purchases of land. It sounds like a | :14:34. | :14:40.
major overhaul? It is. Most of those who have left Helm would have | :14:40. | :14:44.
found this extremely uncomfortable reading. Three senior staff, | :14:44. | :14:48.
including the Chief Executive, have departed. Someone else is on | :14:48. | :14:53.
suspension. Three members of the Board have gone or are going. This | :14:53. | :14:56.
will be a wide-ranging shake-up. Some of the departures are for | :14:56. | :15:00.
health reasons but many positions could have been untenable | :15:00. | :15:05.
irrespective of that once the report is published. What about the | :15:05. | :15:08.
government investigation and report, what does it say? There will be | :15:08. | :15:13.
severe criticism on many fronts, not least over land purchases. Top | :15:13. | :15:17.
of the pile is the 10 million iPad acquisition of a site at Great | :15:17. | :15:24.
George's Street behind the flyover in Belfast. 200 homes were promised | :15:24. | :15:30.
and nothing has happened. It is being leased to a car-park operator. | :15:30. | :15:34.
3 million were paid for for a semi-detached houses off the Antrim | :15:34. | :15:41.
Road. The houses promise never materialised. All told, as many as | :15:41. | :15:44.
eight deals will come under the microscope. They must have cost in | :15:44. | :15:48.
the region of 20 million and each will have questionable potential | :15:48. | :15:52.
given what was paid for them and what has happened. Were they just | :15:52. | :15:56.
caught out by the collapse in the market? To an extent, yes, but | :15:56. | :16:01.
there were much more basic problems here. That Bellevue Park site may | :16:01. | :16:06.
have been bought without even a valuation being done. I think Helm | :16:06. | :16:12.
had its eye wide on more than one occasion by developers. Senior | :16:12. | :16:15.
staff did not get on well and matters were withheld from the | :16:15. | :16:19.
board. When Nelson McCausland gets to his bid on Monday to announce | :16:19. | :16:24.
the findings of the report, there will be dozens of recommendations. | :16:24. | :16:29.
Many questions will flow from this report. Does it mean that Camel get | :16:29. | :16:34.
access to public money again? It was blacklisted last year. Why did | :16:34. | :16:39.
DST inspections not pick up the problems before a whistle Blower | :16:39. | :16:46.
arrived? -- DST. Bad news for anyone needing braces | :16:46. | :16:50.
on their peak. Proposed cutbacks will mean many more will have to | :16:50. | :16:55.
pay to have them fitted. The Department of Health says a new | :16:55. | :16:58.
grading contest and will decide who needs them most. Some Port Dundas | :16:59. | :17:03.

For many teenagers, breezes are almost a rite of passage. Last year, | :17:09. | :17:16.
over 20,000 people had orthodontic appliances fitted. Visiting the | :17:16. | :17:20.
author darndest is no longer a taboo. In south Belfast, this | :17:20. | :17:28.
practice deals with the 600 cases a year. It was easy coming in. It was | :17:28. | :17:33.
very painful for the first week. My brothers and sisters came and when | :17:33. | :17:38.
they left they had nice teeth. Hopefully my teeth will be Berwick | :17:38. | :17:42.
-- really nice by the end. regulations could make it tougher | :17:42. | :17:46.
for young people to get a perfect smile. In December, the Health | :17:46. | :17:49.
Minister told the Assembly steps could be taken to reduce pressure | :17:49. | :17:53.
on the dental budget. They include removing cosmetic treatments. | :17:53. | :17:57.
Altering the number of treatments per person, for example, scaling | :17:57. | :18:04.
and polishing. And introducing a scoring system to work out if | :18:04. | :18:09.
patients are entitled to free orthodontic treatment. That will be | :18:09. | :18:14.
based on an internationally recognised index. Grade won't take | :18:14. | :18:19.
like these are rated as almost perfect. By Grade 3, there will be | :18:19. | :18:27.
some irregularities were no health problems. With four or five would | :18:27. | :18:31.
be severe problems. Those at grade three are entitled to a brace in | :18:31. | :18:36.
the future -- to a breeze. In future they would have to reach | :18:36. | :18:42.
grade four or five. There will be a group of children with moderate | :18:42. | :18:46.
problems. In the past they would have been eligible for treatment | :18:46. | :18:50.
but under the new arrangements they no longer well. According to the | :18:50. | :18:54.
Department of Health, this will allow the most urgent cases to be | :18:54. | :18:58.
prioritised by dentists say it will create inequalities, as it is not | :18:58. | :19:04.
the same across the UK. criteria for selection up NHS | :19:04. | :19:08.
orthodontic cases in Northern Ireland is likely to be much more | :19:08. | :19:12.
stringent. Those cases, in Birmingham for example, are likely | :19:12. | :19:16.
to get Health Service funding. Similar cases in Northern Ireland | :19:16. | :19:23.
are not. That is hardly fair. These proposed changes highlight | :19:23. | :19:25.
the Department of Health's plan to provide services based on need | :19:25. | :19:29.
rather than demand. Meanwhile, the British Dental with the station | :19:29. | :19:33.
says it will only discriminate against those children whose | :19:33. | :19:39.
parents cannot afford to provide them with their help the smile. -- | :19:39. | :19:43.
with a healthy smile. That has got people talking on our | :19:43. | :19:46.
Facebook page with most people against the prospect of having to | :19:46. | :19:55.
pay for orthodontic treatment for children. | :19:55. | :19:59.
New year, new you! It is a time when many people pledge to cut back | :19:59. | :20:03.
on food, alcohol and cigarettes. Some people need shock treatment to | :20:03. | :20:08.
develop healthier habits and that is what a local cancer charity is | :20:08. | :20:13.
providing. For Family Focus, we discovered how a picture speaks | :20:13. | :20:17.
volumes. 21-year-old Halina is getting a | :20:17. | :20:21.
glimpse of what she will look like in 50 years' time. She is not | :20:21. | :20:29.
impressed. It could be a whole lot worse. This is aged 71, but this is | :20:29. | :20:33.
what she could look like if she takes up smoking, sunbathing or | :20:33. | :20:38.
overeating. The effects are created by a computer program. It is a | :20:38. | :20:43.
simple process. A photograph is taken and downloaded and the | :20:43. | :20:48.
program creates a stream of images of the person's face. Health and | :20:48. | :20:53.
lifestyle factors are applied and the after pictures can be dramatic. | :20:53. | :20:59.
I was really shocked to see what I would look like at 70. I am going | :20:59. | :21:03.
on holiday in a month. It will make me put on all my sunscreen, it is | :21:03. | :21:09.
quite scary. I am glad I do not smoke. The software is used around | :21:09. | :21:12.
the world to encourage young people to adopt a healthier lifestyle and | :21:12. | :21:16.
reduce their risk of getting cancer. When you are young you never think | :21:16. | :21:22.
of what will happen in 10 or 15 years. I saw pictures of myself as | :21:22. | :21:28.
obese at 40 or 50. It shocked myself. If you are not seeing side- | :21:28. | :21:34.
effects it is hard to see how it will affect you later in life. | :21:34. | :21:38.
service is now available on the Action Cancer big bath. Anyone | :21:38. | :21:42.
brave enough to peer into the future should contact the charity | :21:42. | :21:49.
for more details. It is a sell-out at Ravenhill Rugby | :21:49. | :21:54.
Ground tomorrow for Ulster's biggest game of the season. Stephen | :21:55. | :21:56.
Watson will be there. Will they when? | :21:56. | :22:05.
Are of course. It will be sold out. We are hoping for a repeat of last | :22:05. | :22:10.
time Leicester Tigers came to Ravenhill, and Ulster walloped them. | :22:10. | :22:16.
Ulster will be at full strength for the showdown. Ian Humphreys and | :22:16. | :22:21.
Pedrie Wannenberg have been passed as fit to play. The Ulster line up | :22:21. | :22:29.
shows just one it changed -- one change, with Paddy Wallace | :22:29. | :22:39.
partnering Darren Cave. Leicester Tigers have injury problems. | :22:39. | :22:44.
It is a winner takes it all fixture. We are going to Ulster, who have | :22:44. | :22:50.
got a home record, and they are successful at Ravenhill. It will be | :22:50. | :22:54.
a difficult game. If we do not win it will be as out of the European | :22:54. | :22:58.
Cups and it is as big as it comes. They players are a good side. There | :22:58. | :23:03.
are lots of good for employers and Irish internationals. It is an | :23:03. | :23:08.
intimidating place but if one club can go to Ulster and when, I am | :23:08. | :23:13.
sure it is Leicester. We did against Munster, why can decide not | :23:13. | :23:17.
go to Ravenhill and do the same? -- this side. | :23:17. | :23:22.
This man has become only the second Irish gymnast ever to qualify for | :23:22. | :23:25.
the Olympics. Kieran Behan, who qualified to represent Ireland | :23:25. | :23:30.
because of his parents, secured his place at the London test event this | :23:30. | :23:36.
week. He will complete it -- compete this summer in the all- | :23:36. | :23:42.
round discipline. One man with plenty of time to be | :23:42. | :23:47.
about the Olympics is Alan Campbell. He qualified for London 2012 last | :23:47. | :23:52.
summer. He spends most of his time training in England but was home | :23:52. | :23:57.
recently in Coleraine, or be caught up with him. | :23:57. | :24:04.
-- where we caught up with him. Even on a break, Alan Campbell is | :24:04. | :24:10.
still keen to get out in a boat on a river. The choppy wintry waters | :24:10. | :24:17.
of the River Bann are a far cry from the blast at -- placid lake | :24:17. | :24:24.
where he secured his place in London 2012. For every single | :24:24. | :24:29.
second we are competing, each of my competitors will have done but to | :24:29. | :24:38.
11 hours of training. We have rehearsed the final 36,000 tyres, | :24:38. | :24:48.
if you like. It is a huge amount. I would give anything to have one | :24:48. | :24:58.
perfect race. It will be on August 3rd. | :24:58. | :25:01.
Nothing would give me greater pressure than to bring home a gold | :25:02. | :25:05.
medal to the people of Northern Ireland. -- pleasure. We deserve it. | :25:05. | :25:09.
I believe my best race will be better than anyone else's on that | :25:09. | :25:18.
day. Until that day, every second in a boat counts. | :25:18. | :25:22.
Liam Boyce has rejoined Cliftonville on a two-and-a-half | :25:22. | :25:26.
year contract. He was linked with a move to Glentoran after attending | :25:26. | :25:33.
their match last Saturday. He has decided to restart his Irish League | :25:33. | :25:38.
career with his former club. Tomorrow, we will look ahead to the | :25:38. | :25:41.
5th round of the Irish Cup and we will be live from Ravenhill. I am | :25:41. | :25:48.
not sure if Ulster will wanted wet and windy. | :25:48. | :25:57.
-- the ones it. It is going to be cooler for the | :25:57. | :26:01.
next two days. It will not be wet and windy but it will be coley -- | :26:01. | :26:05.
chilly tomorrow. We have had strange weather recently. Things | :26:05. | :26:08.
would get back to normal tonight. There is frost in places and | :26:08. | :26:12.
although it will be curler over the next few days, it will be more | :26:12. | :26:17.
settled. -- cooler. Not much rain before Tuesday or Wednesday next | :26:17. | :26:22.
week. High pressure will be in charge. As a high pressure moves | :26:22. | :26:27.
away, it means that the sunnier skies will be moving away as well. | :26:27. | :26:31.
More cloud in the forecast but for a good part of the night it is | :26:31. | :26:38.
going to be clear. You can see the frost. Temperatures in most places | :26:38. | :26:48.
:26:48. | :26:49. | ||
just above freezing. Temperatures at their lowest in the east. It is | :26:49. | :26:55.
going to feel chilly tomorrow. It will start off frosty in places and | :26:55. | :27:03.
the cloud will move eastwards. You may need to scrape a car windscreen, | :27:03. | :27:12.
particularly in Antrim, Down and Armagh. As we confront the West, | :27:12. | :27:18.
temperatures are a little higher. - - as we come further west. The | :27:18. | :27:22.
cloud moves eastwards during the morning. Not so much sunshine but | :27:22. | :27:25.
not so much of a breezy there and maybe a cloud will begin to bring | :27:26. | :27:35.
rain in the West. Not estuary a day and it will feel chilly as well. -- | :27:35. | :27:45.
:27:45. | :27:46. | ||
not as the cheery a day. You may need to look after your snowdrops. | :27:46. | :27:51. |
