Good evening. The headlines on BBC Newsline: A Lisburn teenager with | :00:19. | :00:22.
autism is left in a critical condition following what police say | :00:22. | :00:29.
was a brutal and sustained attack. The regeneration of the Maze Prison | :00:29. | :00:32.
site takes a significant step forward with the appointment of the | :00:32. | :00:42.
:00:42. | :00:43. | ||
man who's to head the project. See the site for what it is and not | :00:43. | :00:47.
what it was. I want to change people's perception and we have to | :00:47. | :00:51.
get people to come here. A family dog dies after being set on fire - | :00:51. | :00:58.
a couple say their children are probably scarred for life. | :00:58. | :01:06.
We knew she could not take the pain of much longer. But she was unable | :01:06. | :01:10.
to walk at the end. We start a week-long test drive of an electric | :01:10. | :01:18.
car - will it have the juice for my daily commute? | :01:18. | :01:22.
Rory McIlory does it again. Today's weather, hardly fit for harvesting | :01:22. | :01:25.
- find out how the rest of the week in shaping up later in the | :01:26. | :01:33.
programme. An autistic teenager who was brutally beaten in Lisburn and | :01:33. | :01:35.
lay unconscious and undiscovered overnight has been described as a | :01:35. | :01:41.
gentle giant by police. Detectives investigating the vicious assault | :01:41. | :01:45.
are baffled as to the motive and they have appealed for help from | :01:45. | :01:55.
:01:55. | :01:57. | ||
the public in tracking down the culprits. | :01:57. | :02:02.
Scott is six foot three inches tall and weighs in at 15 stone. The | :02:02. | :02:06.
teenager suffers from autism and is a well-known figure around Lisburn. | :02:06. | :02:10.
Last Friday night, he was discovered badly beaten, lying in | :02:10. | :02:16.
the grounds of these disused commercial units, next to the tow | :02:16. | :02:19.
path not far from the centre Lisburn. He had been repeatedly | :02:19. | :02:23.
kicked about the head and face. He lay undiscovered overnight before | :02:23. | :02:28.
being tracked down by a police dog handler who knows the area well and | :02:28. | :02:31.
he was acting on information from the teenager's friends that he was | :02:31. | :02:36.
seen heading in the direction of the towpath. He was unconscious, he | :02:36. | :02:43.
had been kicked repeatedly around the face and head. He but for the | :02:43. | :02:46.
local knowledge of the police dog handler and the extensive search | :02:46. | :02:50.
conducted, it is highly unlikely that he would have been found as | :02:50. | :02:57.
quickly as he was. The dog handler knew the area and was able to go | :02:57. | :03:03.
specifically to that spot. mother reported him missing on a | :03:03. | :03:09.
Thursday night at 10pm. Police now I know he left the South Eastern | :03:09. | :03:13.
College that afternoon. He played football in the nearby gardens and | :03:13. | :03:19.
was last seen alone in a nearby area. Police don't know what | :03:19. | :03:23.
happened in the 30 our period between then and a 17 year-old | :03:23. | :03:29.
being fined. The fact he is artistic makes them more vulnerable. | :03:29. | :03:34.
He has good friends, a loving family who are very shocked at this | :03:34. | :03:41.
time. It was senseless, no reason for it. It was a brutal attack. | :03:41. | :03:45.
Police are baffled as to the model for behind what they have described | :03:45. | :03:48.
as the brutal beating of a vulnerable teenager. There is | :03:48. | :03:54.
nothing to suggest it was sectarian or that a robbery was involved. The | :03:54. | :03:57.
police officers investigating this case say somebody out there knows | :03:57. | :04:02.
something and they want a person to get in touch with them. The Maze | :04:02. | :04:05.
prison closed 12 years ago and since then, what to do with the | :04:05. | :04:09.
site has been the subject of controversy. Today it was announced | :04:09. | :04:12.
that the chairman of Glentoran Football Club is to lead the body | :04:12. | :04:16.
which will oversee its redevelopment. Businessman Terence | :04:16. | :04:20.
Brannigan is a former chairman of the CBI and is also a member of the | :04:20. | :04:30.
:04:30. | :04:32. | ||
DUP. There has been years of wrangling | :04:32. | :04:36.
about how the controversial jail site should be developed but the | :04:36. | :04:40.
appointment of this man, Terence Brannigan, means the project is now | :04:40. | :04:47.
up and running. If you look here, you will have the peace building | :04:47. | :04:52.
and conflict resolution centre air and over here, you will have the | :04:52. | :04:57.
Royal Ulster Agricultural Society on 65 acres. The the plan is to be | :04:57. | :05:01.
able to hold the agricultural show here next year while the peace | :05:01. | :05:04.
centre is scheduled for completion by 2015 but given the massive scale | :05:04. | :05:09.
of this site, developing work could still be continuing the 20 years. | :05:09. | :05:13.
It is a long job but the developing corporation want to see the public | :05:13. | :05:18.
using the site as soon as possible. We want to have events, music | :05:18. | :05:23.
events, we want a community to come in and see the site for what it is, | :05:23. | :05:29.
not what it was. The DUP were quick to welcome today's appointments. | :05:29. | :05:32.
have a requirement to get a balanced board a living we have | :05:32. | :05:37.
done very a belt. We have people with business acumen. Sinn Fein are | :05:37. | :05:41.
also delighted. But for a short time this afternoon, Sinn Fein | :05:41. | :05:45.
officials appeared concerned about this admission from the new | :05:45. | :05:55.
chairman. You are a DUP member? At first, sources said he had not | :05:55. | :06:00.
declared his DUP membership on his job application. Then the day | :06:00. | :06:03.
because Minister played the matter down. I am quite relaxed about the | :06:03. | :06:07.
political allegiances of people who are on it. If there's any | :06:08. | :06:11.
controversy around one person in particular, which I am told the | :06:11. | :06:17.
media have been interested in, that is a matter between that person and | :06:17. | :06:22.
the people who processed the application will stop them is | :06:22. | :06:25.
development board members also include a former Sinn Fein | :06:25. | :06:30.
councillor and a former police assistant chief constable. Still to | :06:31. | :06:35.
come on the programme: Why filling up your car could be cheaper than | :06:35. | :06:44.
you ever imagined. Join me for more on our e-car trial. The collie dog | :06:44. | :06:47.
who was set on fire two weeks ago has been put down. Three year-old | :06:47. | :06:50.
Codie suffered serious injuries after she was doused with flammable | :06:50. | :06:54.
liquid and set alight close to her home in Maghaberry. Her owners say | :06:55. | :06:58.
they are devastated but that the vet decided she was just in too | :06:58. | :07:08.
:07:08. | :07:09. | ||
much pain. You may find some of the pictures in this report upsetting. | :07:09. | :07:15.
Everybody loved her, she was not wary of any buddy. She loved | :07:15. | :07:20.
orthodox and anyone in the village or anybody that you her knew she | :07:20. | :07:25.
was at special dog. Two weeks ago, Codie suffered horrendous injuries | :07:25. | :07:29.
when she was doused in flammable liquid and set alight. She appeared | :07:29. | :07:33.
to be making progress but on Friday, the family that said there was | :07:33. | :07:39.
nothing more he could do. The first week, she was not as bad as the | :07:40. | :07:44.
second week. The pain was getting worse as the dead skin started to | :07:44. | :07:49.
come away. Each day we saw her deteriorating and we knew she could | :07:49. | :07:53.
not take the pain and much longer. She was on the strongest pain | :07:53. | :07:59.
medication they could give her but she was unable to walk in the end. | :07:59. | :08:04.
It has been hard watching her. family have been overwhelmed by | :08:04. | :08:08.
support from the public with messages from home and abroad. They | :08:08. | :08:13.
are appealing for anyone with information about what happened to | :08:13. | :08:16.
their much loved pet to go to the police to make sure this does not | :08:17. | :08:24.
happen again. It has scarred our children's lives for life, probably. | :08:24. | :08:29.
We are always going to find it difficult to come to terms with. We | :08:29. | :08:36.
don't have sympathy for people who do these sort of acts. Two men | :08:36. | :08:40.
arrested in connection with the attack have been released on police | :08:40. | :08:44.
bail pending further inquiries. Detectives say their investigation | :08:44. | :08:49.
is continuing. Politicians at Stormont want the Chancellor George | :08:49. | :08:53.
Osborne to cut taxes for tourism related businesses. A DUP motion | :08:53. | :08:55.
today highlighted the tough competition the industry here faces | :08:55. | :09:01.
from the Republic where VAT is less than half the rate here. Our | :09:01. | :09:04.
Business and Economics Editor Jim Fitzpatrick has more and joins me | :09:04. | :09:12.
now. Why single out VAT and the tourism | :09:12. | :09:18.
industry in particular? Tourism employs a lot of people here. The | :09:18. | :09:22.
good thing is, you don't need massive qualifications to get a job | :09:22. | :09:28.
there and if we can grow that sector, it could bring young people | :09:28. | :09:38.
at of employment. -- out of unemployment. Why VAT? Because it | :09:38. | :09:41.
is less than half in the public and less again in some European | :09:41. | :09:45.
countries. I spoke to one of our top restaurant years and he argued | :09:45. | :09:50.
the case. It would be the best thing that could happen to the | :09:50. | :09:53.
hospitality industry when you think of the percentage that is taken out | :09:53. | :09:59.
of the overall turnover. Not the profit. To slice that much in to | :10:00. | :10:06.
your week is a nightmare. A look at countries like France and is | :10:06. | :10:11.
reduced to 5%. It just freeze so many things up, it is impossible | :10:11. | :10:20.
for businesses to survive. I can see a lot of trades in big trouble. | :10:21. | :10:25.
Stormont has no power over the 80 so was today's debate. Us? | :10:25. | :10:29.
pointless but it was definitely powerless. That is why some people | :10:29. | :10:32.
think Stormont would be better served looking at those taxes over | :10:32. | :10:37.
which it does have control. Such as rates and I spoke to an expert who | :10:37. | :10:45.
do is with businesses in trouble. The son has rates is an issue that | :10:45. | :10:48.
Israel and is something that needs to be addressed. It has not been | :10:48. | :10:52.
looked at in 10 years and that is the main cost within businesses | :10:52. | :10:57.
today. We advise businesses who are struggling to pay their rates and | :10:57. | :11:01.
we need Stormont to look at that. That is the one piece of | :11:01. | :11:04.
legislation they can directly impact and changed so that is | :11:04. | :11:07.
something where they have control of and if they have control of that, | :11:07. | :11:11.
they should look at that to see where they can help reduce that and | :11:11. | :11:15.
benefit businesses directly. much would a cut in either tax | :11:15. | :11:25.
:11:25. | :11:26. | ||
cost? Let's have a look. Northern Ireland, it raises 2400 million at | :11:26. | :11:30.
you. That would not be the cost here because we're only talking | :11:30. | :11:35.
about one sector, not liking it out entirely. Because this would have | :11:35. | :11:39.
to be applied across the UK, the absolute cost to the Chancellor | :11:39. | :11:44.
would be in the order of billions. Let's look at rates. In Northern | :11:44. | :11:50.
Ireland, that is 500 million commercial rates. Stormont has | :11:50. | :11:55.
control of that. If it cuts that, it would lose that money from its | :11:55. | :11:59.
coffers so the question is, is it willing to put its money where its | :11:59. | :12:02.
mouth is. The priest at St Patrick's church in north Belfast | :12:02. | :12:05.
has offered to hold talks with a loyal order after a parading | :12:05. | :12:08.
disputed lead to trouble in the area. Last month bands taking part | :12:08. | :12:11.
in the Royal Black Institution parade defied a Parades Commission | :12:11. | :12:15.
ruling by playing music outside the church. Now the administrator of | :12:15. | :12:18.
the church, Father Michael Sheehan, has asked the Royal Black to meet | :12:18. | :12:25.
with members of the Church. He said they have an opportunity to | :12:25. | :12:27.
demonstrate with generosity and goodwill that it is possible to | :12:27. | :12:37.
reach local agreement. Still to come on the programme: I'm | :12:37. | :12:40.
live with some of the world's best anglers hoping to land the biggets | :12:40. | :12:50.
:12:50. | :12:51. | ||
prize in coarse fishing. We all know the price of diesel and | :12:51. | :12:55.
petrol but what if someone offered to sell you a car with cheaper | :12:55. | :12:58.
running costs but the only problem was you had to stop to top it up | :12:58. | :13:02.
every 90 miles or so. This week on BBC Newsline we're taking an | :13:02. | :13:06.
electric car for a test-drive. Our reporter Conor Macauley will be | :13:06. | :13:09.
using it for his daily commute and he is just getting a little juice | :13:09. | :13:19.
before he heads home. There are a range of battery | :13:19. | :13:24.
operated cars on the moment -- on the market at the moment. This is a | :13:24. | :13:30.
pure battery-operated car and has a range of about 90 miles. I have 25 | :13:30. | :13:33.
miles to do tonight. I brought it here to get a charge before I set | :13:34. | :13:38.
off. Range is the key issue in these vehicles because many people | :13:38. | :13:42.
are quite understandably afraid, worried they will run out of power | :13:42. | :13:48.
before they get to where they are going. It is called range anxiety. | :13:48. | :13:54.
The Executive is spending 200 million establishing these power | :13:54. | :14:01.
points to get around that. We have 40 of them installed and in | :14:01. | :14:04.
the next nine months, we will install another one hand and 30 | :14:04. | :14:12.
charge pounds. Electric vehicles have a range of around 100 miles. | :14:12. | :14:16.
People have journeys which may exceed that and the need to be | :14:16. | :14:23.
reassured that they can top up. People can be afraid to travel more | :14:23. | :14:29.
than that distance. These charge pounds will help to alleviate the | :14:29. | :14:34.
anxiety because people will know where they hour and they can charge | :14:34. | :14:38.
up while doing their shopping. about the cost of the car and | :14:38. | :14:45.
banning it? There are deer to buy but cheaper to run. This one costs | :14:45. | :14:50.
30,000 although there is a 5000 government grant. It is in the | :14:50. | :14:57.
running costs were you will see the difference. I put 40 of diesel to | :14:57. | :15:01.
do my journeys and they tell me I could do the same mileage with | :15:01. | :15:05.
about 10 of electricity. We will check all of this out around the | :15:05. | :15:10.
car this week. If you have any questions, send a message on | :15:10. | :15:15.
Twitter. Later, a report to get on a trip around Northern Ireland, | :15:15. | :15:25.
:15:25. | :15:31. | ||
purely on battery power! Rory McIlory has been quoted in a | :15:31. | :15:35.
newspaper article today saying he feels more British and Irish. Some | :15:35. | :15:38.
people have regarded that as important because of the Olympics | :15:38. | :15:43.
in four years' time. Golf will be played there in real as a sport for | :15:43. | :15:48.
the first time and it appears by these comments that Roy McIlory may | :15:48. | :15:55.
planned to play for Team GB rather than team Ireland. He does go on to | :15:55. | :15:57.
say it is a difficult choice and leaves them in an awful position | :15:58. | :16:00.
and hopes everyone will understand would have a choice he makes. He | :16:01. | :16:06.
has played all his got so far for Ireland. It is not definitive and | :16:06. | :16:15.
the debate will go on. To many people, it does not really matter. | :16:15. | :16:22.
What ever the case, he would make any Olympic team at the moment. In | :16:22. | :16:28.
unbelievable form at the moment. Last Night's win was worth almost | :16:28. | :16:36.
$1.5 million. He has won over $20 million in his short career and he | :16:36. | :16:40.
has a chance in a couple of weeks' time to win another $10 million | :16:40. | :16:45.
bonus in the play-offs. It is absolutely staggering. He told us | :16:45. | :16:48.
the secret to his excess was winning that second major | :16:48. | :16:56.
championship. To get in contention, I felt I hadn't been there for a | :16:56. | :17:02.
while. Once I could finish it the way I did, it gave me so much | :17:02. | :17:06.
confidence going into these events. In Boston when I had a chance to | :17:06. | :17:10.
win, I was able to do it and today, having a chance going into the | :17:10. | :17:14.
final day, it should be another great round. And then some of the | :17:14. | :17:18.
best golf in my life now and confidence is high and we just want | :17:18. | :17:28.
:17:28. | :17:29. | ||
to keep this going as long as I can. To win with the best deals in golf, | :17:29. | :17:35.
it is a nice feeling, knowing that you can turn up to these events and | :17:35. | :17:42.
win and win regularly. It does a lot for your confidence. Northern | :17:42. | :17:44.
Ireland have no fitness worries ahead of tomorrow night's World Cup | :17:44. | :17:54.
:17:54. | :17:54. | ||
qualifier against Luxembourg. Luxembourg provide the opposition. | :17:54. | :17:58.
They may be regarded as footballing minnows but are 23 places above now | :17:58. | :18:03.
than in the world rankings. The return of Shane Ferguson to the | :18:03. | :18:05.
squad following injury gives Northern Ireland another attacking | :18:05. | :18:10.
option. Against another country they have played only once, winning | :18:10. | :18:20.
3-1. We tried to win and will utilise our possessions as much as | :18:20. | :18:25.
possible and create as much opportunity as we can. Will there | :18:25. | :18:31.
be many personnel changes? One or two, I think. We have a few things | :18:31. | :18:37.
we have worked at and we have looked at the opposition. If I | :18:37. | :18:40.
change the team, is a reflection on the team but as having a different | :18:40. | :18:45.
approach to the team. David Healy made his debut in that match | :18:45. | :18:51.
against Luxembourg 12 years ago. Michael said today he wanted to the | :18:51. | :18:55.
striker to sign up for this game and the trip to Russia but he was | :18:55. | :19:03.
unavailable. Republic of Ireland manager Giovanni Trapattoni has | :19:03. | :19:05.
warned James McClean that he is lucky to still have an | :19:05. | :19:08.
international career. James admitted sending a stupid and | :19:09. | :19:11.
disrespect comment on Twitter after his omission from the starting | :19:11. | :19:17.
line-up for the World Cup match against Kazakhstan on Friday. He | :19:17. | :19:20.
has since apologised to the whole Irish squad. The Republic face Oman | :19:20. | :19:25.
in a friendly at Fulham's Craven Cottage tomorrow. James McClean is | :19:25. | :19:30.
on the bench once more. Coleraine moved top of the Irish | :19:30. | :19:33.
Premiership after victory over bottom side Lisburn Distillery. | :19:33. | :19:36.
Midfielder Stephen Lowry scored a second for the home side in a 2-1 | :19:36. | :19:40.
win. Linfield bounced back from their midweek defeat to Crusaders | :19:40. | :19:45.
with a little help from the referee. Striker Ryan Henderson benefitting | :19:45. | :19:48.
from a deflection off the official, much to the annoyance of the | :19:48. | :19:52.
Portadown defence. Ballinamallard ended Cliftonville's unbeaten start | :19:52. | :20:02.
to the season. Jason McCartney with the injury-time. | :20:02. | :20:04.
Ulster rugby players continued their impressive start to the | :20:04. | :20:07.
season at the weekend, grabbing a dramatic 16-13 win over the Ospreys | :20:07. | :20:11.
to make it two out of two in the Pro Twelve under new coach Mark | :20:11. | :20:21.
:20:21. | :20:22. | ||
Anscombe. Walking out of the changing rooms, | :20:22. | :20:25.
Ulster new a victory could send them to the top of the Pro Twelve | :20:25. | :20:30.
and capture a rare victory in Swansea where they last won rugby's | :20:30. | :20:34.
league trophy in 2005. Traditionally they have struggled | :20:34. | :20:44.
:20:44. | :20:44. | ||
when playing Wales. The Ospreys were home and dry. At 13-3, their | :20:44. | :20:48.
undefeated record as coach looks finished. Paddy Jackson and kept | :20:48. | :20:55.
Ulster within striking distance. But, it looked too little, too late. | :20:55. | :20:58.
There is something different about the determination at Ulster rugby | :20:58. | :21:01.
at the moment and just when it looked like Ospreys would hold out, | :21:01. | :21:08.
within minutes, Paul Marshall crossed the line and after | :21:08. | :21:13.
consultation with the T N O, Ulster were a row for that to try and the | :21:13. | :21:19.
wind. To come to Ospreys home ground and get a win. We will take | :21:19. | :21:27.
it. The second half, we just put her head down and we knew we had to | :21:27. | :21:36.
wear them down and we do that eventually. Next up, it is Munster | :21:36. | :21:40.
on a Friday night. There were mixed fortunes for Northern Irish riders | :21:40. | :21:43.
in the latest round of the Superbikes in Germany. Jonathan Rea | :21:43. | :21:47.
crashed out early in race one although he did recover with a 4th | :21:47. | :21:52.
place in race two which leaves him 5th overall. But Eugene Laverty had | :21:52. | :22:00.
two podium finishes, coming second in both races yesterday. That means | :22:00. | :22:03.
he is now up to 6th place in the standings. The next round is in | :22:03. | :22:06.
Portugal in two weeks' time. Finally, it promises to be a | :22:06. | :22:09.
special night at Seaview where QPR and Northern Irish legends will | :22:09. | :22:18.
turn out at a special match in tribute to the late Alan McDonald. | :22:18. | :22:22.
We have all heard about the one that got away but if you are fish | :22:22. | :22:25.
in Fermanagh, you had better watch out. The best coarse anglers in the | :22:25. | :22:29.
world are trying to land the biggest prize fund in the sport. | :22:29. | :22:31.
The winners of the World Pairs Championship will net a whopping | :22:31. | :22:35.
30,000. Our Fermanagh district journalist Julian Fowler is in | :22:35. | :22:45.
:22:45. | :22:47. | ||
Enniskillen. Are the fish taking the bait? | :22:47. | :22:51.
certainly are. These waters behind me attract thousands of fishermen | :22:51. | :22:58.
each year. This week, some of the best anglers in the world of coarse | :22:58. | :23:02.
fishing have come here to try their luck. On offer is the biggest prize | :23:02. | :23:08.
fund in the sport. With me now is the organiser of the competition. | :23:08. | :23:12.
How it big in this competition? They is is the biggest in the world, | :23:12. | :23:16.
it is the richest event and it has attracted angers from all over the | :23:17. | :23:25.
world, Australia, Brazil, Germany, and the UK. It is massive. Look at | :23:25. | :23:33.
that used here, you cannot get any better. Taking part is Andy, how a | :23:33. | :23:38.
good was the fishing today? Pretty good, beautiful surroundings and | :23:38. | :23:43.
you just cannot beat it. A reasonable start to my festival. | :23:43. | :23:47.
The sun is out now but it was pretty wet earlier? A don't even | :23:47. | :23:53.
notice it when I am catching fish. What is it about Fermanagh, the | :23:53. | :23:58.
fish or is there more to it? have a good time with all the lads, | :23:58. | :24:05.
the Anders go out at night and have a great time. A huge prize fund on | :24:05. | :24:09.
offer, it has been sponsored by waterways Ireland and tourist | :24:09. | :24:19.
:24:19. | :24:20. | ||
boards on both sides of the border, what will we get out of it? It has | :24:20. | :24:25.
brought people to this part of the words that has not happened for | :24:25. | :24:30.
years. There's at least two UN and 50 anglers plus their families and | :24:30. | :24:34.
the average spend is over 1000 a person so just in this little area | :24:34. | :24:40.
alone, it has been fabulous for the hotels, pubs, the food, shops, | :24:40. | :24:48.
everything. It is fabulous and the money on offer is unbeatable. | :24:48. | :24:52.
competition will be taking place in Fermanagh, Cavan, Leitrim and | :24:52. | :24:55.
Monaghan for the rest of the week and hopefully there will be tight | :24:55. | :25:05.
:25:05. | :25:07. | ||
lines. It is beginning to dry up in a lot | :25:07. | :25:10.
of places. It might have been good weather for fishing today but for | :25:10. | :25:16.
many, it was miserable. It looks as if it was the worst day of the week. | :25:17. | :25:21.
As we progress through the week, it will be when the at times and we | :25:21. | :25:31.
:25:31. | :25:33. | ||
can expect a shift in temperature. These birds, has snubbed by Peter, | :25:33. | :25:37.
obviously enjoying themselves in the puddles. For many of us, it was | :25:37. | :25:43.
cold and wet and miserable. You can see the drier weather in June in. | :25:43. | :25:46.
It will continue to drive up quite quickly during the first part of | :25:46. | :25:52.
the night. The next area of rain comes in the early hours. Some of | :25:52. | :25:56.
the shares could be heavy with fund an extent. Skies will then Clear | :25:56. | :26:00.
and temperatures will deal to 6- seven degrees. The good news about | :26:00. | :26:05.
tomorrow is that it is drier and brighter. There will also be a keen | :26:05. | :26:11.
and chilly westerly wind blowing. Fortunately, with more sunshine | :26:11. | :26:19.
around, it will be more pleasant and it will be a lot drier. For | :26:19. | :26:23.
many South Eastern areas including Belfast, a large part of the day | :26:23. | :26:28.
will be tried. Temperatures just up on today at around 14 or 15 but | :26:28. | :26:36.
still quite cool along the coast. The average for this time of year | :26:36. | :26:40.
is 16 degrees so we are a little shy of that tomorrow. The Chartres | :26:40. | :26:45.
easily tomorrow evening and tomorrow night, another weather | :26:45. | :26:52.
front moves southwards bringing it more rain for Wednesday. | :26:52. | :26:58.
Temperatures start to creep up a little bit towards the mid- teens. | :26:58. | :27:01.
Then we move into Thursday and Thursday looks at being an | :27:02. | :27:07.
interesting day. A lot of dry weather around. Strong winds but | :27:07. | :27:11.
not cold winds but temperatures back up-to- 18 degrees, possibly | :27:11. | :27:21.
:27:21. | :27:22. | ||
We have had a statement in from Brian McIlory and he says, I wish | :27:23. | :27:28.
to clarify that I have absolutely not made a decision regarding my | :27:28. | :27:31.
participation in the next Olympics. On a personal level, playing in the | :27:32. | :27:37.
Olympics would be a huge honour, however the Games in Rio are still | :27:37. | :27:41.
four years away and I certainly won't be making any decisions with | :27:41. | :27:45.
regards to participating any time soon. | :27:45. | :27:49.
That clarifies what we were talking about a little earlier. That's it | :27:49. | :27:55. |
