Newsline... The Housing Executive says hundreds | :00:20. | :00:23.
of its tenants are facing repair delays. | :00:23. | :00:27.
A man appears in court charged with trying to kill a police officer on | :00:27. | :00:30.
the Twelfth. Why a computer lifeline for pupils | :00:30. | :00:39.
who can't attend school through illness could be a step closer. | :00:39. | :00:43.
Why they're putting a best foot forward for the Maiden City Festival | :00:43. | :00:50.
in Londonderry. We're told change is coming in local | :00:50. | :00:55.
football. But not everyone's happy. We're live in north Belfast. | :00:55. | :00:59.
And in the weather it's a rainy, wet night tonight. But tomorrow promises | :00:59. | :01:07.
to be a much better, brighter day. The Housing Executive says it's been | :01:07. | :01:11.
forced to run a reduced repair service in some areas following the | :01:11. | :01:18.
collapse of two contractors earlier this year. The housing body says it | :01:18. | :01:22.
has not been able to deal with around 1,000 requests for repairs. | :01:22. | :01:25.
The housing body has also confirmed it's facing a legal challenge over | :01:25. | :01:28.
the procurement of double glazing for thousands of its properties. | :01:28. | :01:35.
Martin Cassidy reports. Earlier this year, two contractors | :01:35. | :01:38.
responsible for repairs reported by tenants in eight districts went into | :01:38. | :01:43.
administration. The Housing Executive says, as a result, it has | :01:43. | :01:46.
had to run a reduced repairs service in three districts - Craigavon, the | :01:46. | :01:54.
Shankill and South Belfast. It has now emerged there are around 1,000 | :01:54. | :01:57.
repair requests in these districts which the Executive has not been | :01:57. | :02:00.
able to deal with. Because of the mounting backlog, over 200 staff | :02:00. | :02:02.
have now transferred from the contractors to the Housing | :02:02. | :02:08.
Executive's own staff. Apologising to tenants for the delay, the | :02:08. | :02:11.
Housing Executive says it is treating the backlog as a priority | :02:11. | :02:14.
and will endeavour to carry out the outstanding work as soon as | :02:14. | :02:24.
:02:24. | :02:38. | ||
what the Executive refers to as "planned repairs." This includes the | :02:38. | :02:44.
installation of new double glazing. The Housing Minister Nelson | :02:44. | :02:47.
McCausland ordered a review in May 2012, claiming the deals that | :02:47. | :02:54.
existed then were "unnecessarily expensive." Several companies have | :02:54. | :02:57.
criticised the delay in awarding new contracts, claiming it's hit the | :02:57. | :03:02.
industry very badly. Today, the Housing Executive confirmed it's | :03:02. | :03:09.
facing legal proceedings. The result is an automatic suspension of the | :03:09. | :03:12.
procurement process. Tenants hoping for new windows face yet more | :03:12. | :03:19.
delays. The Secretary of State has urged the | :03:19. | :03:23.
organisers of a republican parade in Castlederg to call it off, but says | :03:23. | :03:28.
current legislation means she isn't able to ban it. Earlier, Theresa | :03:28. | :03:31.
Villiers met a victims' group opposed to Sunday's parade at | :03:31. | :03:40.
Stormont. Unionist politicians say they are disappointed the parade is | :03:40. | :03:47.
going ahead. She was very clear that she felt the parade was offensive. | :03:47. | :03:51.
She felt that Sinn Fein should cancel their parade in Castlederg | :03:51. | :03:57.
and they should take it out of Castlederg. I think the families, | :03:57. | :04:00.
whilst they welcome that statement, are still disappointed that there is | :04:00. | :04:07.
not a band coming -- there is not a band coming because they do not have | :04:07. | :04:13.
any confidence in Sinn Fein meeting the parade out of Castlederg. | :04:13. | :04:21.
Fein's Barry McElduff rejected the Secretary of State's comments. He | :04:21. | :04:24.
said she should stay out of parading issues and respect the right of | :04:24. | :04:27.
republicans to remember their dead in a dignified manner. | :04:27. | :04:32.
The Parades Commission has given permission for six loyalists | :04:32. | :04:37.
protests tomorrow evening. Numbers have been restricted at four of the | :04:37. | :04:40.
demonstrations. A man has appeared in court charged | :04:40. | :04:44.
with trying to kill a police officer with a ceremonial sword on the 12th | :04:44. | :04:46.
July. Loyalists attacked the police after the Orange Order's parade was | :04:47. | :04:50.
prevented from going past the Ardoyne area that evening. Chris | :04:50. | :04:53.
Page was in the court for BBC Newsline. | :04:53. | :04:55.
These pictures taken from a police helicopter show loyalists attacking | :04:55. | :05:01.
PSNI officers on the evening of the Twelfth. Police had blocked the | :05:01. | :05:04.
Orange Order's return parade from going past the nationalist Ardoyne | :05:04. | :05:08.
area. Today a man appeared in court on the most serious charge brought | :05:08. | :05:12.
yet in relation to the rioting. Mark Jason Blaney, who's 30, is accused | :05:12. | :05:16.
of attempting to murder a police officer with a sword. He's also | :05:16. | :05:20.
charged with having an offensive weapon and riotous behaviour. Mark | :05:20. | :05:24.
Blaney is from Alliance Close in North Belfast. He was arrested there | :05:24. | :05:28.
earlier this week. He spoke only once during the hearing, to confirm | :05:28. | :05:32.
he understood the charges. The court heard that when police put the | :05:32. | :05:35.
charges to him, he replied, "I didn't mean to harm anybody.I'm | :05:35. | :05:40.
sorry. I apologise." A prosecution lawyer told the court that Mark | :05:40. | :05:44.
Blaney had admitted receiving a text message telling him about a meeting | :05:44. | :05:47.
at which swords and flags were handed out. But a defence solicitor | :05:47. | :05:51.
said this message just referred to a meeting in the Orange lodge, rather | :05:51. | :05:56.
than an arrangement to pick up weapons. The district judge said | :05:56. | :05:59.
that given the context of the allegations, and the fact there were | :05:59. | :06:04.
more contentious parades to come, she was refusing bail. The accused | :06:04. | :06:13.
will appear in court again on the fifth September. | :06:13. | :06:23.
:06:23. | :06:26. | ||
100 new jobs are being created by the macro bakery, McErlane's. There | :06:26. | :06:32.
will be a new factory and machinery. The majority of people will be | :06:32. | :06:36.
recruited over the next two years. Families of people killed in the | :06:36. | :06:39.
Omagh bombing have long demanded an independent public inquiry into the | :06:39. | :06:43.
attack. Today they said they will go to court if necessary to force the | :06:43. | :06:46.
British and Irish governments to set one up. The families say there is | :06:46. | :06:49.
significant new evidence which could have prevented the attack and | :06:49. | :06:53.
brought those responsible to justice. Julian Fowler is in Omagh | :06:53. | :07:03.
:07:03. | :07:05. | ||
for us this evening. This is the memorial garden. On | :07:05. | :07:09.
Sunday, the 15th anniversary of the atrocity will be remembered. Over | :07:09. | :07:12.
the last 15 years there have been reports, inquiries and court cases. | :07:12. | :07:17.
But no one has been convicted, and questions remain unanswered. How | :07:17. | :07:22.
much did the security services know about the attack, which killed 29 | :07:22. | :07:26.
people and unborn twins? The families believe if the intelligence | :07:26. | :07:31.
had been properly shared it could have been prevented. | :07:31. | :07:35.
After 15 years, the families say the truth of what happened in Omagh is | :07:35. | :07:44.
long overdue. A report they presented to the British and Irish | :07:44. | :07:47.
governments last year they say contains evidence which they feel | :07:47. | :07:50.
demands a public inquiry. At a press conference today, Michael Gallagher, | :07:50. | :07:53.
whose son Aidan was killed, read extracts from some of the 4,000 | :07:53. | :07:56.
e-mails sent by an agent, David Rupert. He had infiltrated the Real | :07:57. | :08:00.
IRA gang responsible for the bomb. And it's claimed he had scouted | :08:00. | :08:08.
possible targets, including Omagh. He had passed information about the | :08:08. | :08:12.
attack to his handlers. It sounded like whatever was going to happen | :08:12. | :08:17.
would happen soon, maybe in the next few weeks. He was excited about the | :08:17. | :08:20.
conversation. This is the same person that says he was involved in | :08:20. | :08:26.
the Banbridge bombing, he is excited something will happen in the next | :08:26. | :08:31.
couple of weeks. The next couple of weeks just happened to be Omagh. | :08:31. | :08:34.
former Police Ombudsman, whose own inquiry criticised the RUC | :08:34. | :08:37.
investigation of the atrocity, says the e-mails reveal massive failures | :08:37. | :08:44.
by the intelligence and security services. The Americans, the Irish | :08:44. | :08:48.
and British government, were all infiltrated, had all infiltrated | :08:48. | :08:53.
this group of terrorists, and still this bomb exploded. We need to know | :08:53. | :08:57.
why. The families have called on the Secretary of State to given them an | :08:57. | :09:06.
answer before next week's anniversary of the atrocity. | :09:06. | :09:10.
Some of those e-mails were used in evidence against the real IRA | :09:10. | :09:17.
leader, Michael McKevitt. But the families say they contain much more | :09:17. | :09:25.
information, including the names of other individuals involved. They say | :09:25. | :09:31.
it is up to the government to reveal further details. | :09:31. | :09:35.
Police say they are investigating the theft of a Unionist mural from | :09:35. | :09:39.
Sandy Row in Belfast last night which ended up on a bonfire. | :09:39. | :09:45.
Meetings have been taking place today involving police and community | :09:45. | :09:47.
representatives to try and reduce tensions. It is understood the mural | :09:47. | :09:54.
has been removed. Still to come... | :09:54. | :09:57.
I am Vivian Campbell from Def Leppard. Watch me tonight on BBC | :09:57. | :10:04.
Newsline. Three of the four men arrested in | :10:04. | :10:07.
connection with the two sudden deaths in Lisnaskea have been | :10:07. | :10:09.
released on police bail pending further inquiries. A fourth man, | :10:09. | :10:13.
aged 18, is still being questioned on suspicion of the possession and | :10:13. | :10:17.
supply of Class A drugs. The police are still awaiting the results of | :10:17. | :10:20.
tests to determine exactly how Olivia Reilly and Noel Reilly died | :10:20. | :10:26.
and if their deaths were linked. Their bodies were found in different | :10:26. | :10:32.
houses within 24 hours of each other. | :10:32. | :10:35.
In May this year, we brought you the story of an expensive computer | :10:35. | :10:40.
system which could be a lifeline for pupils who cannot attend school. But | :10:40. | :10:43.
it was being blocked by some teaching unions. As our education | :10:43. | :10:45.
correspondent Maggie Taggart reports, the Minister for Education | :10:45. | :10:55.
:10:55. | :10:56. | ||
is now fully behind those in favour of the Elluminate programme. | :10:57. | :10:59.
there anything else you can use to develop that? | :10:59. | :11:02.
This is a virtual A-level revision class broadcast live as pupils study | :11:02. | :11:06.
at their home computers. The teacher is miles away in their usual | :11:06. | :11:08.
classroom in Fermanagh. Campaigners say the Elluminate system, which is | :11:08. | :11:12.
already in place, could be used like this for children with severe autism | :11:12. | :11:16.
or illness who cannot attend school. But despite widespread training, | :11:16. | :11:24.
only a handful have benefited. tuition is just a few hours and is | :11:24. | :11:29.
not enough. The Elluminate programme is a whole day's lessons and gives | :11:29. | :11:36.
them the chance to be as if they are at school. It is there but it is not | :11:36. | :11:39.
being used. Suzanne spent a year of her A-level studies at home because | :11:39. | :11:44.
of ME, at a time when Elluminate was not available. These school helped | :11:44. | :11:49.
as far as there could -- as far as they could but what was there was | :11:49. | :11:53.
not enough. This system would have made the whole process of trying to | :11:53. | :11:59.
obtain my qualifications a lot easier, and it would have impacted | :11:59. | :12:02.
on my health positively. Some unions were concerned about teachers and | :12:02. | :12:05.
pupils being observed by people outside the school. But now the | :12:05. | :12:08.
group has convinced the Minister for Education, who says he is determined | :12:08. | :12:16.
to make changes. The issues they were raising had validity. I have | :12:16. | :12:20.
listened intently to day at a meeting where I have been very well | :12:20. | :12:26.
informed by their experiences of home to school durations. -- | :12:26. | :12:32.
tuition. Will you put it right?I will use everything in my power to | :12:33. | :12:35.
put it right. The campaigners says they're delighted at the positive | :12:35. | :12:39.
response from the minister. Vivian Campbell, from the chart | :12:39. | :12:42.
topping rock band Def Leppard, is in Belfast tonight. The guitarist, | :12:42. | :12:45.
who's originally from the Maze just outside Lisburn, was diagnosed with | :12:45. | :12:49.
throat cancer just a few months ago. Our reporter Dan Stanton caught up | :12:49. | :12:59.
:12:59. | :13:02. | ||
with him ahead of his gig tonight with his band Last in Line. | :13:02. | :13:06.
Vivian Campbell has been with Def Leppard for 21 years. His band have | :13:06. | :13:09.
topped the US and UK album charts. Tonight he is playing with Last in | :13:09. | :13:16.
Line. I am thrilled. It just worked out this way. We were here to do for | :13:16. | :13:23.
Max brief shows in the UK in -- to do four brief shows in the UK and | :13:23. | :13:33.
:13:33. | :13:35. | ||
Ireland and it worked out perfectly. What is the line-up? I am here | :13:35. | :13:41.
tonight in Belfast. It is the original band. You have had a tough | :13:41. | :13:47.
year, can you tell us? I used to have a lot more cancer diagnosis. I | :13:47. | :13:52.
have been in chemo for Hodgkin's lymphoma. The chemo is doing what it | :13:52. | :13:58.
is supposed to, it is curing cancer. Unfortunately, the | :13:58. | :14:02.
side-effects are no hair and no eyebrows! But it is par for the | :14:02. | :14:08.
course and I am fine with it. The treatment has not affected me to | :14:08. | :14:13.
negatively. I have been able to continue with my work. I have to do | :14:13. | :14:18.
chemo every two weeks. I did one on Monday in Los Angeles, got on the | :14:18. | :14:23.
plane on Tuesday. I feel a little rough, but by keeping on my focus on | :14:23. | :14:28.
working, it is part of my therapy at it helps meet mentally get through | :14:28. | :14:33.
it. Not many survivors like yourself could play live on stage. Not many | :14:33. | :14:41.
people do chemo and go on tour, true. I have really come to terms | :14:41. | :14:48.
with not having hair. One of the things this has taught me is that | :14:48. | :14:53.
vanity has gone out the window. It is not about how my hair looks, it | :14:53. | :14:58.
is about how my guitar sounds. I am really focused on the music. | :14:58. | :15:04.
band fly off to Scotland tomorrow and end their tour in London. | :15:04. | :15:10.
Good to have him home. Coming up... We catch up with two of the | :15:10. | :15:13.
competitors at the World Police and Fire Games, who we first met last | :15:13. | :15:23.
:15:23. | :15:28. | ||
week. I do not want to tell the FBI that we had a lot of! Craic-- a lot | :15:28. | :15:37.
of craic! Let's go to Austin O'Callaghan for | :15:37. | :15:46.
the sport. Tonight, the Crusaders Strikers | :15:46. | :15:48.
women's football team are hosting a Champions League qualifying | :15:48. | :15:51.
tournament here with visiting teams for Ukraine and Hungary taking part. | :15:51. | :15:55.
They play in the summer and the men's game here could be following | :15:55. | :15:59.
suit. The new body which is going to run | :15:59. | :16:02.
Irish League football is considering moving to a summer season and | :16:02. | :16:05.
playing more matches on a Sunday. It is promising change, but not | :16:05. | :16:11.
everyone is happy. This is the long-term future of | :16:11. | :16:14.
Irish League football. The short-term future, major surgery. | :16:14. | :16:21.
Indeed, Revolution is hurtling down the tracks. I would encourage them | :16:21. | :16:28.
to play on a Sunday. It is a step we must take to come into line with | :16:28. | :16:34.
other leagues in Europe. Of course matches should be played on a | :16:34. | :16:39.
Sunday. I have no problem with that. There are things which are important | :16:39. | :16:45.
to people on a Sunday, and maybe sport would come second. I do not | :16:45. | :16:50.
want to get into a theological debate. As far as Linfield would be | :16:50. | :16:56.
concerned, we want to see the game progress and we want changes to be | :16:56. | :17:01.
brought in. I do not think we will be playing on a Sunday. The Northern | :17:01. | :17:06.
Ireland Football League will operate as a limited company and oversee all | :17:06. | :17:08.
premiership, Championship, reserve league and youth football and has | :17:08. | :17:14.
confirmed it will explore the potential of a summer league. There | :17:14. | :17:22.
is sure to be followed. Let's talk to Sara Booth, the | :17:22. | :17:25.
tournament director of this event in north Belfast. Sara, the men are | :17:25. | :17:33.
looking at making some big changes. The women's league has already made | :17:33. | :17:38.
them. What is working and what is not? The advantage with playing in | :17:38. | :17:41.
the summer is that there is no football in the calendar at this | :17:41. | :17:45.
time of year. It shows that there are people that want to watch | :17:45. | :17:49.
football and we are filling a niche. That can only be good for the men's | :17:49. | :17:54.
game. Does it matter on the day of the week if you want to get as many | :17:54. | :17:59.
people in as possible? Hopefully we will go to weekend football, the | :17:59. | :18:03.
same as what the men are proposing for the summer. We have seen high | :18:03. | :18:09.
calibre football this evening. What signal does that give? It extends | :18:09. | :18:12.
the local profile. We have an international team doing really well | :18:12. | :18:19.
and it is time for the club teams to step up to the mark. Tonight, | :18:19. | :18:22.
Crusaders Strikers are representing the country. Do you think you have | :18:22. | :18:29.
got a good job than the men's game? We have a long way to go, but we | :18:29. | :18:32.
have been making huge strides. We have got a good relationship with | :18:32. | :18:36.
the media and they are catching on that the game is growing. There is | :18:36. | :18:41.
hunger to watch it. How are you able to attract a champions league | :18:41. | :18:46.
qualifying tournament to Belfast? put in a really good application and | :18:46. | :18:53.
we had the backing of the Irish football Association. Crusaders | :18:53. | :18:58.
Strikers are playing at half past seven this evening. | :18:58. | :19:02.
Bangor Rugby Club are just back from a trip to Italy, and it's one they | :19:02. | :19:06.
won't forget in a hurry. The plan was to play a couple of games of | :19:06. | :19:10.
rugby over there and have a bit of a holiday. But they ended up playing | :19:10. | :19:20.
against Benetton Treviso, one of Ulster's opponents in the Pro12. | :19:20. | :19:25.
Sometimes sport throws up surprise results but rarely are teams shocked | :19:25. | :19:28.
by their opposition. Buying's part-timers were in for a night they | :19:28. | :19:35.
would not forget. We still had thought they might have a few | :19:35. | :19:43.
Academy players. We read the newspaper and it showed the starting | :19:43. | :19:49.
team. We realise that some of those guys had played for Italy. It was | :19:49. | :19:59.
about one hour before kick-off. There was one penalty from about 35 | :19:59. | :20:02.
yards up from the post. He slotted it over and he told me his legs had | :20:02. | :20:12.
:20:12. | :20:16. | ||
been like jelly. We were winning against them, it was incredible. | :20:16. | :20:23.
They went on to lose 92-3, but they won the hearts of the locals. | :20:23. | :20:27.
best thing was, when the fans realised it was our club song, they | :20:27. | :20:34.
started clapping along. It was the most special bit about it. In the | :20:34. | :20:42.
end, the Italians did the job, but Bangor hit all the high notes. | :20:42. | :20:50.
Maybe they should quit while they are head! | :20:50. | :20:54.
The governor of the Apprentice Boys of Derry says he believes there is a | :20:54. | :20:58.
greater understanding of Protestant culture from the Catholic community. | :20:58. | :21:01.
He was speaking during the Maiden City Festival ahead of the main | :21:01. | :21:11.
:21:11. | :21:11. | ||
parade on Saturday. Bluegrass music dominated the | :21:11. | :21:16.
opening weekend of the Maiden City Festival. There was a host of | :21:16. | :21:23.
performers in and around the city centre. One of the members of this | :21:23. | :21:28.
band says traditional attitudes towards the UK City of Culture are | :21:28. | :21:34.
changing. If you look at the city on the news, it is never really a good | :21:34. | :21:38.
impression you get, particularly in Irish history and the way things | :21:38. | :21:43.
have gone. When you come up here, you are maybe apprehensive coming | :21:43. | :21:51.
into it, but it is as friendly as anywhere I have been. The Maiden | :21:51. | :21:57.
City Festival wants to showcase a Protestant culture of tolerance and | :21:57. | :22:02.
openness, while at the same time making it positive contribution to | :22:02. | :22:05.
diversity within a majority nationalist city. We are reaching | :22:05. | :22:10.
out, in particular talking to the Catholic and nationalist community | :22:10. | :22:14.
in the city. It is appreciated on both sides. We appreciate they want | :22:14. | :22:18.
to talk to us and there is appreciation on the other side, I am | :22:18. | :22:22.
sure, that we are making the effort to reach out. For Canadian visitors | :22:22. | :22:27.
like this family it has been a hectic few days. David took part in | :22:28. | :22:31.
the World Police and Fire Games and his daughter is an avid dancer, so | :22:31. | :22:38.
they combined the two. I go to Niagara, Ottawa, all over the | :22:38. | :22:48.
:22:48. | :22:48. | ||
place. What is it like being here? It is fun. A unique musical | :22:49. | :22:54.
collaboration takes place this evening, when this group join three | :22:54. | :23:00.
marching flute bands, an Irish traditional flautist and an opera | :23:00. | :23:04.
singer to perform a symphony. AT flutes will making sweet music in | :23:04. | :23:08.
the column 's Cathedral. -- AT flutes. These terrorists were | :23:08. | :23:18.
impressed. It is very nice. We did not expect to hear such music. | :23:18. | :23:25.
was lovely. It brings light into our hearts. There have been more people | :23:25. | :23:28.
killed in there with falling masonry than there has been in the entire | :23:28. | :23:33.
city in the siege. The Apprentice Boys of Derry say they have been | :23:33. | :23:38.
delighted with the success of the festival, the culmination of which | :23:38. | :23:42.
will be the parade this Saturday. They say they are looking forward to | :23:42. | :23:49.
a peaceful day's parading. Let's catch up with two of the | :23:49. | :23:53.
competitors at the World Police and Fire Games. The retired FBI agents | :23:53. | :23:59.
have become quite the celebrities since appearing on the programme. | :23:59. | :24:05.
This is the moment retired FBI Agent Miles was about to compete in the | :24:05. | :24:13.
open swim. Little does he realise what he is in for... Definitely not | :24:13. | :24:22.
for the faint-hearted! Two miles later, that Daniel Craig moment. The | :24:22. | :24:30.
tired Agent Miles emerges from Belfast Lough. He was greeted by his | :24:30. | :24:38.
very own Bond girl. That was the coldest water I have ever swam and | :24:38. | :24:46.
in my entire life. I am glad I did this. I completed it. Not bad for an | :24:46. | :24:53.
old guy! This is my fifth Games. I did not think anybody could top | :24:53. | :24:57.
Stockholm in 1999. This is by far and away has been the friendliest | :24:57. | :25:01.
games and people, the best support, the best organisation, the best | :25:01. | :25:07.
opening ceremonies I have ever seen. You guys really have hit a home run. | :25:07. | :25:13.
It was also a home run for his partner. She had two gold medals, in | :25:13. | :25:17.
the bench press and push pull. The organisers wanted it to be the | :25:17. | :25:21.
friendliest games, has that been the case? Absolutely. So many people | :25:21. | :25:26.
have been saying they saw us on the TV. We have had such a great time | :25:26. | :25:30.
and had a lot of fun. We plan on staying at least another week. | :25:30. | :25:38.
you find any craic? We talked about that. I do not want anybody at the | :25:38. | :25:44.
FBI headquarters hearing that we had lots of craic! Home and dry for this | :25:44. | :25:49.
husband and wife team. I am told there are lots of | :25:49. | :25:59.
:25:59. | :26:08. | ||
engagement during the Games as well. lot of rain tonight as this weather | :26:08. | :26:12.
front comes through tonight bringing rain to all parts. It is a cloudy | :26:13. | :26:18.
night, meaning temperatures are reasonably mild overnight. Plenty of | :26:18. | :26:23.
people were up bright and early this morning. There were loads of | :26:23. | :26:31.
pictures of the sky at dawn. I cannot promise a similar picture to | :26:31. | :26:35.
morrow. There will be plenty of cloud to begin with, but it will | :26:35. | :26:39.
brighten up through the day. Friday is not looking too bad, some | :26:39. | :26:43.
reasonably clear skies through the day and these are spills of sunshine | :26:43. | :26:49.
just about everywhere. -- decent spells of sunshine. There is fresher | :26:49. | :26:54.
error behind the band of rain and it will be cooler than we would expect | :26:54. | :27:00.
at the time of year. As we go through the evening and overnight, | :27:00. | :27:05.
we will get some rain around. It is a cooler night as we go into | :27:05. | :27:10.
Saturday morning. A mixed bag if you are camping out at Hillsborough this | :27:10. | :27:20.
weekend. They will be playing the game of dodge the showers. There is | :27:20. | :27:24.
plenty of brightness on Saturday, but it is mixed in with rain as | :27:24. | :27:27.
well. Temperatures not looking too bad. If you are heading to | :27:27. | :27:32.
Derry-Londonderry, for the Maiden City Festival on Saturday, | :27:32. | :27:39.
reasonably dry to begin with with a shower in the afternoon. That is the | :27:39. | :27:43.
picture as we head towards the weekend. Sunshine and showers is | :27:43. | :27:48.
very much the story to be told, and that lasts into the start of next | :27:48. | :27:53. |
