Good evening and welcome to Points West. The headlines tonight:

:00:10.:00:14.

It has a website but no students. The University of Glastonbury turns

:00:14.:00:18.

out to be just a scam. Campaigners call for a limit to

:00:18.:00:22.

house-building in the country. Britain's top cyclists will head to

:00:22.:00:26.

Somerset for what could by the last time.

:00:26.:00:36.

And the rubbish dump that's been It says it wants to be a world

leader of universities with an alumni network that stretches

:00:42.:00:49.

across 120 countries. The only problem for Glastonbury University

:00:49.:00:52.

is that it doesn't really exist, and its glossy website is little

:00:52.:00:59.

more than a scam. Here's Jules Hyam. It is every inch the polished

:00:59.:01:02.

online brochure. This website outlines the course offerings and

:01:02.:01:06.

academic achievements of Glastonbury University. It boasts

:01:06.:01:09.

of its 500 students in the school of the built environment and of its

:01:09.:01:14.

five-star rating for engineering. It certainly looks the part and it

:01:14.:01:17.

makes Glastonbury University look like the ideal place to study in

:01:17.:01:27.
:01:27.:01:29.

the UK. But in Glastonbury, things look

:01:29.:01:33.

very different. This is a small market town. Yes, it does have an

:01:33.:01:37.

enormous amount of history, but it has never had a university, and

:01:37.:01:41.

that big glass building, that is just not here.

:01:41.:01:43.

It is in fact 150 miles away, because this isn't the main

:01:44.:01:46.

building of Glastonbury University - it's the library building at the

:01:46.:01:49.

University of Leicester. Staff there had no idea their library was

:01:49.:01:53.

being used as a double for a fictitious university. They told

:01:53.:01:56.

us: The University of Leicester has no association with the Glastonbury

:01:56.:01:59.

University, that they regard breach of copyright and misuse of their

:01:59.:02:02.

property as very serious offences, which they have reported to

:02:02.:02:12.
:02:12.:02:13.

The website does list an address for Glastonbutry University so we

:02:13.:02:19.

went there. No one is answering on the phone

:02:19.:02:22.

number listed on the website and this is the address that it gives,

:02:22.:02:29.

clearly not a university. checked the UK board Registry

:02:29.:02:33.

website and they had an -- an agreement that invested and

:02:33.:02:36.

colleges can recruit internationally. Glastonbury

:02:36.:02:39.

University does not exist and staff at Somerset County council were

:02:39.:02:45.

surprised to learn that the website credits them with setting it up.

:02:45.:02:48.

Their trading standards team have looked into it and passed details

:02:48.:02:51.

on to the Department of Education and they think the website is

:02:51.:02:55.

targeting foreign students who want visas. The Home Office is also

:02:55.:03:02.

aware of the site -and they too are investigating.

:03:02.:03:05.

And Jules joins us in the studio now to explain how this scam might

:03:05.:03:11.

work. How might this down work? have been wandering that for most

:03:11.:03:16.

of the day. It is unusual because there is no direct appeal for money,

:03:16.:03:22.

no bank account details listed. We saw in the film, there is no one

:03:22.:03:26.

there. It is probably around something slightly more subtle.

:03:26.:03:29.

Somerset County Council says it is a round student visas.

:03:29.:03:33.

Interestingly, you do not have to have a visa to study in the UK, but

:03:33.:03:38.

you do need evidence that you on a course at an accredited university.

:03:39.:03:43.

The agency has a list of the government approved outfits that to

:03:43.:03:48.

provide courses and that they are not made up. Even if you arrived

:03:48.:03:51.

with some documentation from dust and the ring of us do, that would

:03:51.:03:55.

not get you into the country because it is not on the list. --

:03:55.:04:02.

University of Glastonbury. This is more likely to be operating a broad,

:04:02.:04:05.

convincing foreign students abroad to part with their cash for the

:04:05.:04:09.

hope of coming to the UK to fictitious universities were in

:04:09.:04:13.

reality they would not get in. Thank you very much, a fascinating

:04:13.:04:23.
:04:23.:04:26.

Campaigners gathered in Wiltshire today to protest about plans to

:04:26.:04:29.

build thousands of new homes in the county. They want to protect the

:04:29.:04:32.

countryside, but with rural housing in short supply, all our local

:04:32.:04:35.

councils are facing the same dilemma - how to build enough homes

:04:35.:04:37.

without losing fields. Alice Bouverie was at the meeting earlier,

:04:37.:04:41.

and joins us now from Trowbridge. You join me on the very outskirts.

:04:41.:04:45.

These houses of the last ones before building starts. They have

:04:45.:04:49.

been here for seven years, but because of the draft strategy drawn

:04:49.:04:53.

up by the council, these fields may well soon be business parks and

:04:53.:04:57.

some of the 37,000 homes that the council wants to build over the

:04:57.:05:01.

next 15 years. It is not just here where this is happening: Local

:05:01.:05:05.

authorities across the West are drawing up their visions of what

:05:05.:05:09.

their place will look like over the next 15 years. Bath and North-East

:05:09.:05:14.

Somerset want to build 11,000 homes. In Taunton, it could be about

:05:14.:05:21.

17,000 homes. In Bristol, 13,000 homes. -- 30,000 homes. In

:05:21.:05:25.

Wiltshire, the council said not to panic because half of those homes

:05:25.:05:29.

have already been built, but that has not stopped 25 community groups

:05:29.:05:32.

coming together and sending in an open letter to the council. They

:05:32.:05:36.

said it was not fit for purpose and they want the council to think

:05:36.:05:41.

again. I am one of the first people to say that we should not build on

:05:42.:05:46.

green land. It should be left free. But we have a lot of young people

:05:46.:05:50.

wanting houses, a lot of elderly people living longer who want

:05:50.:05:54.

houses and we want businesses who want skilled workers. The fact is,

:05:54.:05:59.

we have the evidence that we will need, by 2026, an increase in the

:05:59.:06:03.

number of houses. We have cut the figure enormously from what the

:06:03.:06:06.

government originally imposed on us and we have come to what I believe

:06:06.:06:12.

is a reasonable solution. Not everybody believes that is a

:06:12.:06:18.

reasonable solution. With me is the chairman of the CPRE in Wiltshire.

:06:18.:06:28.
:06:28.:06:29.

Isn't this just another example of...? In Wiltshire, an awful lot

:06:29.:06:32.

of planning permission is committed to development which can take place

:06:32.:06:37.

without additional land being allocated. Where could those houses

:06:37.:06:43.

be built? There is a fair amount to be built here in Trowbridge alone.

:06:43.:06:50.

There is no need to quote additional figures in Trowbridge at

:06:50.:06:54.

the present time. The Countryside Alliance said last week that many

:06:54.:06:58.

rural communities would wither and die unless new housing would be

:06:58.:07:03.

built. Surely this will be good? Well, there is no reason why they

:07:03.:07:08.

should not be small developments in rural areas. In fact, one of the

:07:08.:07:12.

provisions in the core strategy is to prevent some development in the

:07:12.:07:16.

smaller villages. That is wrong. There ought to be an opportunity

:07:16.:07:21.

for additional development in the small villages. How hopeful are you

:07:21.:07:25.

that the council will listen? only say that I am optimistic.

:07:25.:07:29.

is a debate which is happening across the West. As you can see,

:07:29.:07:39.
:07:39.:07:43.

there are very different and A woman has been left with what are

:07:43.:07:45.

described as life-changing injuries after a crash in Bath early this

:07:46.:07:49.

morning. The 23-year-old was hit by a lorry on Grand Parade and was

:07:49.:07:52.

later taken to hospital. The police are appealing for witnesses to the

:07:52.:07:55.

crash, which happened during rush hour.

evening classes run by the hospital. They are designed to allow

:09:03.:09:08.

sufferers to pass on expert advice to those beginning to discover

:09:08.:09:12.

their condition. When people come to our grip and talk about issues,

:09:12.:09:17.

it gives you the confidence to be able to say, give them better

:09:17.:09:23.

advice. The idea will mean that hospital specialists can

:09:23.:09:26.

concentrate on patients who need their expertise the most. But could

:09:26.:09:32.

there be a danger in having laid people giving wrong medical advice?

:09:33.:09:37.

They have to be very careful that there is no conviction with the

:09:37.:09:42.

medical profession. They give very simple, basic advice, and also,

:09:42.:09:47.

they get opinions from the doctors and nurses. The most important part

:09:47.:09:52.

of the course is about what patients eat. Dietary advice is

:09:52.:09:55.

vital when it comes to making sure levels of sugar in the blood remain

:09:55.:10:03.

healthy. A new study by the University of Bristol of almost 600

:10:03.:10:07.

type 2 diabetes sufferers found that the group that were given 6.5

:10:07.:10:11.

hours of dietary advice at the start of their diagnosis had much

:10:11.:10:16.

better blood sugar levels after six months compared with the other

:10:16.:10:22.

group who received no advice. the latest figures showing a high -

:10:22.:10:27.

- a 5% rise in patients with type 2 diabetes in the past year, it means

:10:27.:10:32.

that other hospitals will have to fall this model if they are to cope

:10:32.:10:42.
:10:42.:10:42.

with demand. A jury's considering its verdict in

:10:42.:10:45.

the trial of a former soldier from Wiltshire who's accused of

:10:45.:10:48.

kidnapping and raping women in Chippenham and South Wales. Ex-

:10:48.:10:50.

lance corporal Jonathon Haynes from Saxon Close in Northampton denies

:10:50.:10:53.

the charges at Bristol Crown court. Scott Ellis is there tonight for us

:10:53.:10:57.

with an update. Plans to invest 3 million to build

:10:57.:11:01.

a hostel for the homeless in Bath have been abandoned by the Council.

:11:01.:11:03.

Bath and North East Somerset councillors have decided against

:11:03.:11:06.

spending the money, at a time when cuts are being made elsewhere. They

:11:06.:11:09.

say they're investigating other ways to meet demand to cater for

:11:09.:11:11.

rough sleepers. The number of people asking for

:11:11.:11:13.

help from a West foodbank has increased this year. Gloucester

:11:13.:11:17.

Food Bank has reported a 10% rise in adults and a 17% increase in the

:11:17.:11:20.

number of children needing food, compared with last year. The

:11:20.:11:23.

charity says it's had to use reserve supplies of food to meet

:11:23.:11:28.

demand. New classrooms have been put in at

:11:28.:11:31.

Gloucester Academy today. The buildings will serve as extra

:11:31.:11:34.

capacity when the school moves to one site on Cotteswold Road from

:11:34.:11:38.

September, two years ahead of schedule. The government has given

:11:38.:11:42.

the school more than 15 million to build on the new site, and it

:11:42.:11:49.

should all be ready by 2013. Nuclear safety has been under the

:11:49.:11:52.

spotlight today with the visit of independent inspectors to Somerset.

:11:52.:11:55.

A panel of experts from the office for nuclear regulation toured the

:11:55.:12:00.

county as a preferred location for a new nuclear power station.

:12:00.:12:03.

They'll decide whether Hinkley Point gets a licence or not. Dickon

:12:03.:12:08.

Hooper has more. There's been a nuclear power

:12:08.:12:13.

station here at Hinkley Point for decades. And with a coalition

:12:13.:12:15.

government committed to nuclear, it's on the list to host another

:12:15.:12:21.

one. Protests though have been held, and there'll no doubt be more - the

:12:22.:12:31.

deadline to open is 2025. Today, though, safety was on the agenda.

:12:31.:12:35.

The office for nuclear regulation paid Somerset a visit. They have to

:12:35.:12:42.

sign off the building and the operation of the new plant. All we

:12:42.:12:49.

are looking for is to see whether or not the company is capable and

:12:49.:12:55.

competent in terms of their ability to own and operate a plant, and

:12:55.:13:01.

that takes there is phases. We will be looking at whether they have the

:13:01.:13:05.

right people in the right place to discharge those responsibilities

:13:05.:13:09.

and meet the requirements of UK regulations. The government argues

:13:09.:13:11.

nuclear is needed for energy security. Those living nearby

:13:11.:13:14.

disagree, but lost a recent battle to stop preparatory work on the

:13:14.:13:21.

plant getting council approval. Today's visit was another step in

:13:21.:13:23.

this process The next is public consultations being planned by the

:13:34.:13:35.

Sport, and Somerset's cricketers look like providing us with another

:13:35.:13:38.

exciting end to the season. They're through to the Twenty20 Cup semi-

:13:38.:13:48.

finals yet again. Here's Alistair. They must be so used to getting to

:13:48.:13:51.

this stage! This is the third year in a row

:13:51.:13:54.

Somerset have made it to what's called Finals Day - both the semi

:13:54.:13:58.

and the final played on the same day at the same ground. This year

:13:58.:14:01.

it's Edgbaston in Birmingham on August 27th. Somerset's allocation

:14:01.:14:04.

of tickets go on sale tomorrow, but if you're interested don't hang

:14:04.:14:09.

about because they're aren't many available.

:14:09.:14:13.

On a roll, and favourites to go all the way. The win over

:14:14.:14:16.

Nottinghamshire means Somerset haven't lost now in their last 11

:14:16.:14:21.

matches. Success on the field is good news off it. After rain played

:14:21.:14:30.

havoc with their Twenty20 group matches. It has been a tough season

:14:31.:14:36.

financially. We have had four washed out matters and that has a

:14:36.:14:40.

tremendous impact on the club. Finals day is a real bonus for up -

:14:40.:14:45.

- for us. We want to be there in the final and winning trophies.

:14:45.:14:49.

bad news for fans is the small allocation - only 1400 tickets, for

:14:49.:14:52.

a membership that far exceeds that. The club will get a share of the

:14:52.:14:55.

gate receipts, but the players get the prize money. The Somerset squad

:14:55.:14:59.

will share out 120,000 between them if they win. And they're

:14:59.:15:03.

hitting form at the right time. Key men like bowler Alfonso Thomas are

:15:03.:15:07.

back from injury. Twenty20 specialist Keiron Pollard flew back

:15:07.:15:13.

to the Caribbean today - his job done. The overseas signing put in a

:15:13.:15:16.

man of the match display, and will be back in a fortnight's time for

:15:16.:15:23.

finals day. The rest of the squad have a week off, but while they put

:15:23.:15:26.

their feet up, supporters will begin the scramble to get a ticket

:15:26.:15:31.

to watch them. There's no respite now the football

:15:31.:15:34.

season is underway, with a West Country derby to look forward to

:15:34.:15:36.

tomorrow in the Carling Cup. Bristol City and Swindon face each

:15:37.:15:42.

other, having had contrasting results at the weekend. City going

:15:42.:15:46.

down 3-0 at home to Ipswich, while Paolo Di Canio started with a

:15:46.:15:49.

comfortable win over Crewe - and how about this for a goal - he'd

:15:49.:15:52.

have been proud of that himself. Well, we'll be live at Ashton Gate

:15:52.:15:59.

tomorrow night to preview that first round cup tie. And don't

:15:59.:16:02.

forget you can see all the goals from the opening day of the season

:16:02.:16:05.

on the iPlayer, or on the sports pages of the BBC website, including

:16:06.:16:14.

a debut win for Paul Buckle as manager at Bristol Rovers.

:16:14.:16:17.

For the last five years the Tour of Britain has brought the world's top

:16:17.:16:20.

cyclists to Somerset. This September competitors will race

:16:20.:16:25.

between Taunton and Wells for the sixth stage. But despite generating

:16:25.:16:28.

millions of pounds for the local economy, there's no guarantee it'll

:16:28.:16:34.

return to the county as Laura Lyon reports.

:16:34.:16:37.

Gearing up gently for the Tour of Britain when 96 cyclists race to

:16:37.:16:41.

the stage six finish line in Wells next month, they're likely to be

:16:41.:16:51.
:16:51.:16:51.

going all out in a sprint finish. The frame is made from carbon fibre.

:16:51.:16:54.

Simon Richardson is from Bristol and has twice finished the 1100 km

:16:54.:16:57.

race inside the Top 20. He thinks the winner of this year's Somerset

:16:57.:17:03.

stage could go on to take the overall title. With Cheddar gorge,

:17:03.:17:09.

and particularly the last climb of the day in all Bristol, it could

:17:09.:17:13.

actually potentially decide the race because it is the last major

:17:13.:17:19.

Hill of the whole event. For the last five years, Somerset County

:17:19.:17:25.

Council has sponsored and therefore hosted its own stage. It has cost

:17:25.:17:30.

750,000, but it has brought in between 7.5 million and 10

:17:30.:17:40.

million for the local economy. Here in Wells with it's Hollywood

:17:40.:17:42.

locations and plenty of tourists, they can expect another 10,000

:17:42.:17:46.

visitors on race day. Even with the extra tourists and a tenfold return

:17:46.:17:48.

on investment, the authority isn't renewing its contract to host the

:17:48.:17:51.

international event next year. is not appropriate at the moment to

:17:51.:17:54.

be spending more public money directly on that sort of contract,

:17:54.:17:58.

but we are very keen that the tour returns in the future. We encourage

:17:58.:18:02.

the talk and are working with the manager to look at opportunities

:18:02.:18:05.

for commercial sponsors step and if they want to come back to Somerset

:18:05.:18:08.

in the future, we would like to help them in the future. For all

:18:08.:18:11.

those who've missed out on Olympic tickets, the organisers hope the

:18:11.:18:14.

chance to see the world's best road cyclists compete, for free, in

:18:14.:18:16.

Somerset, will attract more than the 130,000 people who watched last

:18:16.:18:26.
:18:26.:18:33.

And the England rugby captain Lewis Moody is waiting to find out

:18:33.:18:37.

whether he'll be able to take part in next month's world cup in New

:18:37.:18:40.

Zealand. The Bath flanker picked up a knee injury in England's match

:18:40.:18:43.

against Wales at the weekend. It's the same injury that kept him out

:18:43.:18:47.

of this years Six Nations, but Moody is hoping it's just a tweak.

:18:47.:18:50.

Now, how often do you hear of budding sports stars being told to

:18:50.:18:54.

have a career to fall back on? Well one teenager from Bristol has taken

:18:54.:18:57.

it a step further. He's earned himself an art

:18:57.:19:00.

scholarship at a college in the States, and hopes his talent will

:19:00.:19:04.

enable him to pay his way to a real sporting dream. Damian Derrick went

:19:04.:19:13.

to meet him. With a view like this who could

:19:13.:19:16.

fail to be creative? But then of course, you need the talent to go

:19:16.:19:23.

with it, and Christian Barnett has been blessed with plenty. I don't

:19:23.:19:28.

really draw off references, I just think of something and just

:19:28.:19:32.

visualise it and then draw it. I don't get a picture and try to copy

:19:32.:19:40.

it. So it is your imagination being your inspiration? Yes, definitely.

:19:40.:19:43.

And he's been inspired quite a bit - his house is full of pictures

:19:43.:19:47.

which have won him a scholarship to the States and are now ready to go

:19:47.:19:50.

on show in Bristol. But painting isn't his only talent - Christian

:19:50.:20:00.
:20:00.:20:03.

He's hoping this could earn him a second scholarship. The thing that

:20:03.:20:08.

made him different from the other kids is that he is mentally focused,

:20:08.:20:13.

he has always known he wants to play basketball so we do spend many

:20:13.:20:17.

hours in the gym and then he practises himself. He puts in extra

:20:17.:20:20.

work and then go back -- and then back gets into the next level

:20:20.:20:24.

quicker than the others. But it's those artist skills that are going

:20:24.:20:27.

to pay Christian's way at college in New York. So a basketball career

:20:27.:20:31.

might be yet be a long way off, but he's got his eyes firmly on the

:20:31.:20:41.
:20:41.:20:44.

Best of luck to him. A patch of land that was once

:20:44.:20:47.

filled with rubbish and derelict buildings has been transformed into

:20:47.:20:50.

a haven for wildlife, and it's attracting tourists looking to get

:20:50.:20:53.

away from it all. It's taken a couple from Somerset ten years to

:20:53.:20:56.

convert part of their estate into a wild flower meadow, and they've

:20:56.:20:59.

named it the field of dreams. Ashling McVeigh went to see it in

:20:59.:21:04.

bloom. Welcome to the field of dreams.

:21:04.:21:09.

Here I am in Somerset in this wild flower meadow, and just look at it,

:21:09.:21:14.

beautiful variety of flowers. 57 in total. With me is the bone and

:21:14.:21:20.

creator of this garden. Brian, what inspired you? It was a wasteland,

:21:20.:21:24.

terrible buildings, so we tried to create something that is the exact

:21:24.:21:28.

opposite of that. You have opened it to the public and had a great

:21:28.:21:33.

reaction. We have had over 1,500 people visit. We have not charge an

:21:34.:21:37.

entrance fee. We have asked them to donate and they have donated very

:21:37.:21:43.

generously. Excellent. We have also got nicked 80 -- Nick Baker, the

:21:43.:21:50.

naturalist. Telos, could you do this in your back garden? You cent

:21:50.:21:55.

and the could. My Borders do not look dissimilar. -- you certainly

:21:55.:22:01.

could. You cannot beat a bit of blue like that. It is gorgeous.

:22:01.:22:05.

What is important about this is of course, it is not something for the

:22:05.:22:10.

purists. If you are into pure flowers, this is not it. There is a

:22:10.:22:18.

mix from flowers around the world. The young ones have come here at

:22:18.:22:22.

the right level because they appreciate these flowers. But they

:22:22.:22:26.

have never seen anything like this. The fact that we are looking at

:22:26.:22:30.

this tiny corner of Somerset for this tells us what we are missing,

:22:30.:22:35.

which is wild flowers. The landscape was a living wasteland

:22:35.:22:39.

and wild flowers are so good for the wildlife as well. Thank you for

:22:39.:22:43.

that. So it is really a beautiful place to visit, and you can do so

:22:43.:22:47.

until the end of August. I promise you, you will not be disappointed

:22:47.:22:56.

with this field of dreams. It looks a heavenly. And gorgeous

:22:56.:23:02.

weather today as well. That story about the house being

:23:02.:23:05.

struck by lightning in Swindon, how common is that?

:23:05.:23:12.

Thankfully not a very! He is not in this country. If you go to

:23:12.:23:18.

Disneyland in America, you will see be lightning conductors on top of

:23:19.:23:28.

Brickwork has been damaged in a lot of houses because of the brain work.

:23:28.:23:33.

As the lightning hits it, it he'd sit in a second and it is detonated

:23:33.:23:41.

like Bach on a tree. Interesting how it is an end-of-terrace house.

:23:41.:23:45.

Open land is more prone to being hit. Let's return to take a look at

:23:45.:23:49.

some of the storms and yesterday which you can see tracking across

:23:49.:23:53.

Swindon there, some very lively rainfall there. I'm sure a number

:23:53.:23:57.

of the sort lightning from that, as indeed many do across the British

:23:57.:24:06.

Isles. Thankfully, there are only three fatalities due to lightning

:24:06.:24:10.

per year. That number has dropped dramatically since the 1,900,

:24:10.:24:14.

mainly because less people work outdoors. It is just where people

:24:14.:24:19.

are prone to see it. These are the rates of lightning strikes you see

:24:19.:24:22.

per square kilometre per year across our part of the British

:24:22.:24:27.

Isles. It is a highest as you come out to the east and north into

:24:27.:24:30.

Wiltshire and Gloucestershire. Almost one strike per square

:24:30.:24:33.

kilometre, that is quite high. No chance of any thunderstorms

:24:33.:24:39.

tomorrow. It will be a fine day a: Dry, bright, variable amounts of

:24:39.:24:43.

cloud. The reason for that is high pressure will start to build. It

:24:43.:24:49.

has been anything but today. This band running southwards will bring

:24:49.:24:54.

more shower and tomorrow, pressure builds and it means we get the best

:24:54.:24:58.

day of what is left of the week ahead. Let's look at the rainfall

:24:58.:25:02.

radar, which for a while has been dried into the early part of this

:25:02.:25:06.

evening. That the crews and showing its hand in the north so some

:25:06.:25:11.

showery outbreaks of rain feeding off. A number of you will see that

:25:11.:25:14.

through the course of the evening, probably through to late evening

:25:14.:25:20.

onwards. Behind that, the skies will clear overnight and in lighter

:25:20.:25:25.

winds, it will be a decidedly cooler night so by dawn tomorrow,

:25:25.:25:31.

you'll see lows of nine degrees yd away from the coast at least. There

:25:31.:25:35.

will be a good deal of early sunshine which is a good start to

:25:35.:25:39.

the day for rush-hour. That cloud will build as we get through late

:25:39.:25:43.

morning into the afternoon, particularly in and so it sunny air

:25:43.:25:47.

spells on and off and continuing that way through this evening and

:25:47.:25:51.

then we get the reverse process, we lose the heat and it should be a

:25:51.:25:55.

fine evening for everyone. Indeed sunnier spots up tomorrow, the

:25:55.:26:00.

winds will be light and it will feel pleasant. The tempters will be

:26:00.:26:05.

between 17 and 19 degrees. -- the temperatures. Looking beyond that,

:26:05.:26:10.

this is where things change. On Wednesday, the high pressure

:26:10.:26:14.

squeezes south and the low pressure comes in from the West, bringing

:26:14.:26:17.

very is frontal systems through the latter stage of Wednesday, through

:26:17.:26:23.

Thursday and through to Friday. It will be noticeably breezy and there

:26:23.:26:29.

could be a lot of cloud around, and there will be some brain. This is a

:26:29.:26:34.

scenario that we will be watching very closely as I'm sure will be

:26:34.:26:41.

the pilots and the organisers. Here is a summary. It will be fairly

:26:41.:26:46.

muggy on Wednesday, but rather inclement.

:26:46.:26:54.

It is really frightening to know that lightning can strike twice.

:26:54.:26:58.

Before we go tonight, there is time to look ahead to tomorrow's

:26:58.:27:03.

programme where we will be finding out how a historic gem in

:27:03.:27:10.

Cheltenham is being refurbished. Yes, people have spent the last few

:27:10.:27:15.

months restoring the theatre to its original glory. More than 120 years

:27:15.:27:18.

after it first opened. Those responsible say they are happy with

:27:18.:27:23.

the results. Far better than I had ever imagined. The vibrancy of the

:27:23.:27:27.

colours and the way it pulls together is a brilliant scheme.

:27:27.:27:32.

People will be really impressed and love it. We will bring you the full

:27:32.:27:35.
