Welcome to Points West. The headlines tonight. Protestors say | :00:13. | :00:17.
we are here to stay. Wooden shacks are built at the Occupy camp in the | :00:17. | :00:21.
centre of Bristol as campaigners prepare to stay through the winter. | :00:21. | :00:25.
Fighting to save the buildings. New flood defences are put in behind | :00:26. | :00:30.
the collapsing river wall in Bridgwater. Also tonight, a | :00:30. | :00:34.
celebration of service and sacrifice. Thousands line the | :00:34. | :00:36.
streets of Chepstow as Gloucestershire's One Rifles are | :00:36. | :00:42.
granted freedom of the town. And getting Bristol engineers back on | :00:42. | :00:46.
the road, how specialise car making skills are being preserved for the | :00:46. | :00:55.
future. Good evening. Protestors living in a tented camp in the | :00:55. | :01:00.
centre of Bristol have begun to build shacks and say Tay have no | :01:00. | :01:06.
immediate plans to leave. Occupy Bristol have been camping out | :01:06. | :01:11.
outside College Green for 34 days. They say they're campaigning | :01:11. | :01:13.
against economic and political greed and are constructing the huts | :01:13. | :01:20.
so they can stay for the winner. Good evening Lizzie. Yes they have | :01:20. | :01:25.
been here nearly six weeks now, the weather is getting colder and so is | :01:25. | :01:28.
life inside those tents. That is why they are planning to do | :01:28. | :01:32.
something about it. But first let us remind ourselves of the reasons | :01:32. | :01:36.
they are here. They say they are protesting against the current | :01:36. | :01:40.
system. It is unsustainable and unjust. They are angry at the | :01:40. | :01:44.
banking crisis, they want and end to global tax injustice, they want | :01:44. | :01:49.
global equality and redemocracy, and they say they are not going | :01:49. | :01:53.
anywhere until they get it. Making their mark. Occupy Bristol is the | :01:53. | :01:58.
biggest tented protest outside of London. Over 60 tents are here but | :01:58. | :02:02.
the protestors say they are not adequate for the winter, so they | :02:02. | :02:08.
have v begun to build solid structures. We will build the frame, | :02:08. | :02:14.
and until it is close, closely weaved together, and we will bend | :02:14. | :02:19.
everything into the centre to build the Dome. Then it will be covered | :02:19. | :02:24.
and made waterproof, and then have doors in it. And a floor, and it | :02:24. | :02:27.
will have a wood burner in there. And it is somewhere that we can | :02:27. | :02:33.
bring the public during the winter, days, warm, comfortable, so we can | :02:33. | :02:37.
continue our meetings. This shack here was much large e but today, | :02:37. | :02:41.
the protestors have been downsizing. They say they appreciate the | :02:41. | :02:45.
original structure was too large but they will keep building. We are | :02:45. | :02:49.
not about scaring people. We are not about sor ot -- sort of like | :02:49. | :02:54.
being in people's faces and inconveniencing people. And causing, | :02:54. | :03:00.
you know consternation with the public. There has been makesed | :03:00. | :03:04.
reaction from those who live and work nearby. I can't really see how | :03:04. | :03:09.
it is helping any cause, it seems to be an eyesore, and I think it is | :03:09. | :03:12.
taking away from people enjoying the College Green as it should be, | :03:12. | :03:18.
which is a calm spiritual place. A lot of people enjoy it every day. | :03:18. | :03:22.
Initially OK. But it is dragging on too long now. You know, they have | :03:22. | :03:27.
made a point and it is not a protest any more, it is an | :03:27. | :03:31.
occupation. Making it into a permanent structure where they have | :03:31. | :03:37.
wardrobes and having toilets put in, I think it is going too far. No, I | :03:37. | :03:41.
don't mind it at all. I think it is, like if they want do that and if | :03:41. | :03:46.
they want to standing united together, why not? In the Occupy | :03:46. | :03:49.
camp in London protestors have been warned that from seedings will be | :03:49. | :03:53.
issued in the high court if they don't leave by this evening and New | :03:53. | :03:58.
York hundreds of Occupy Wall Street protestors attempted to march on | :03:58. | :04:03.
the New York Stock Exchange. Here in Bristol they have given the city | :04:03. | :04:10.
a physical sign they have no plans to leave. Well, tomorrow morning | :04:10. | :04:14.
radio Bristol will be here live from 6.30 with Steve Le Fevre. The | :04:14. | :04:21.
council have called a meeting with the protestors at 9.30. The press | :04:21. | :04:26.
stiers they have a long list of question, the council say this is | :04:26. | :04:29.
an unlawful encampment. They have only one question they want | :04:29. | :04:36.
answered. When is all of this going to end? Temporary flood defences | :04:36. | :04:40.
have been put into place today, along a stretch of the river | :04:40. | :04:44.
Parrett in Bridgwater, where a huge section of wall has partially | :04:44. | :04:48.
collapsed. The Environment Agency says it should protect the most | :04:48. | :04:51.
vulnerable house tons river bank but engineers admit they are still | :04:51. | :04:57.
not sure when the wall can be properly rebuilt. For the first | :04:57. | :05:01.
time today we were allowed close enough to see the full extent of | :05:01. | :05:07.
the damage to the river wall, in the ten ter of Bridgwater. Flooding | :05:07. | :05:11.
did this. Two weeks' ago. -- centre. That wall has moved seven metres in | :05:11. | :05:17.
that direction. No-one is quite sure how, or why, it is still | :05:17. | :05:22.
standinging. What they know is it has finally stopped moving, and for | :05:22. | :05:27.
now, the authorities are happy to leave it as it is. And for as long | :05:27. | :05:32.
as they do that, homes and shops on this part of the river bank are | :05:32. | :05:36.
out-of-bounds. 1 people are still being kept in temporary | :05:36. | :05:43.
accommodation. -- 18. This furniture retailers has had to set | :05:43. | :05:48.
up a temporary shop ten miles away. He has no idea when he will be | :05:48. | :05:52.
going back to Bridgwater. I haven't had a phone call. There are three | :05:52. | :05:56.
other businesses next to me. They have been allowed back in and they | :05:56. | :06:00.
are re-opening tomorrow but no explanation why the shop literal -- | :06:00. | :06:07.
literally two steps away we can't open and the restaurant can't open. | :06:07. | :06:13.
Why are they waiting for the wall to collapse? It is a risky site. We | :06:13. | :06:17.
have a collapsed wall section to get equipment in there is a risky | :06:17. | :06:21.
activity. You are talking about big bits of equipment. Putting them | :06:21. | :06:25.
near a collapse and we are not confident that is a sensible thing | :06:25. | :06:31.
to do at this stage. So in effect they are waiting for nature to do | :06:31. | :06:35.
the work. Whenever that might be. In the meantime, today the | :06:35. | :06:39.
Environment Agency have been testing temporary flood defences, | :06:39. | :06:43.
which they hope will protect the most vulnerable properties from the | :06:43. | :06:49.
expected high tides later this month. Our concern if we don't do | :06:49. | :06:53.
this, if we get a big spring tide there is a danger we could get | :06:53. | :06:58.
water coming up on to the road and that would flow out and down the | :06:58. | :07:03.
street here. November 25th is the next high tide. It will be a | :07:03. | :07:11.
critical day for everyone here. Detectives investigating the murder | :07:11. | :07:16.
of the Gloucestershire woman Kate Prout have confirmed they have | :07:16. | :07:18.
received significant new information ant her death. Her | :07:18. | :07:22.
husband Adrian is serving a life sentence after being convicted of | :07:22. | :07:25.
her murder, despite her body never been discovered. Tonight, | :07:25. | :07:30.
detectives have refused to comment on a claim that officers are about | :07:30. | :07:36.
to question him further. Remind us about the kaith case? A lot of | :07:36. | :07:40.
people will remember this case. It was massive, lasted many months in | :07:40. | :07:47.
2007. Adrian Prout was a wealthy land own e his wife was last seen | :07:47. | :07:50.
on Bonfire Night in 2007. Adrian reported her missing about five | :07:50. | :07:54.
days later, that sparked a massive police search, lasted week, months | :07:54. | :08:00.
looking for some clues but they found nothing, no sign of he but no | :08:00. | :08:05.
forensic evidence either. What was odd about it was she left the house | :08:05. | :08:10.
without any clothes, money, didn't take her car, and then in 2010, he | :08:10. | :08:16.
was eventually convicted without her body of her murder, based on | :08:16. | :08:19.
circumstantial evidence. It really hinged on the fact she kept a diary | :08:19. | :08:24.
detailing their marital break down, so he was given a minimum of 18 | :08:24. | :08:28.
years back in 2010. Police have searched several times for the body | :08:28. | :08:33.
but never found it. What have they been saying? They say they are | :08:33. | :08:41.
treating it with urgency, they have had a significant new development. | :08:41. | :08:45.
He was given three extra years because he refused to say where he | :08:45. | :08:49.
buried her or what he had done with her body. We haven't had any new | :08:49. | :08:53.
information from the police, they say they have had a significant new | :08:53. | :09:01.
development. We are likely to hear more some time tomorrow. In other | :09:01. | :09:07.
news Victoria -- victorious library protestors have called on the | :09:07. | :09:14.
council to guarantee the survival of libraries. A high court judge | :09:14. | :09:19.
yesterday threw out plans to stop funding 21 libraries. Campaigners | :09:19. | :09:23.
raised thousands to help fund the legal challenge. We are ecstatic. | :09:23. | :09:28.
We are so pleased with the result yesterday, for not only our local | :09:28. | :09:34.
library, this is for the whole of Somerset. We are pleased. Even when | :09:34. | :09:37.
the Legal Services Commission said we had to raise all this money, we | :09:37. | :09:42.
knew we would do that from within the people of Somerset. They want | :09:42. | :09:47.
the County Council to abandon any plans that could lead to closures. | :09:47. | :09:50.
The campaigners have offered to hold talks to see if there are | :09:50. | :09:54.
other ways to save money. You are watching your regional news | :09:54. | :09:57.
programme, BBC Points West, and stay with us tonight, as there is | :09:57. | :10:01.
much more still to bring you. Ian will be here with the latest | :10:01. | :10:05.
weather forecast shortly, plus a growing industry. The fraudsters | :10:05. | :10:11.
offering fake loans to those in debt. | :10:11. | :10:15.
# I'm a believer # Getting ready for their big night, | :10:16. | :10:24.
the choir championing the west for Children In Need. First though, the | :10:24. | :10:28.
police and community leaders are tonight insisting there isn't a | :10:28. | :10:32.
gang culture in Bristol. Five young men were jailed yesterday, for a | :10:32. | :10:36.
total of 26 year, for firearm offences. Today, a Government | :10:36. | :10:41.
minister visited the city, to see for himself the challenges faced by | :10:41. | :10:49.
police. Keeping shoppers and traders safe in the run-up to | :10:49. | :10:53.
Christmas. Today, the police minister ad attended the opening of | :10:53. | :10:57.
a cop shop in Cabot Circus. But away from the glitz and bright | :10:57. | :11:02.
lights of the city's shopping centres Bristol's darker side is on | :11:02. | :11:06.
people's minds. Yesterday, five men were jailed for firearms offences, | :11:06. | :11:12.
aged between 1 and 26, they received sentences totalling 26 | :11:12. | :11:17.
years. Before their arrest, they made several music videos. This was | :11:17. | :11:26.
made in April last year and posted on YouTube. The red neckerchieves | :11:26. | :11:30.
their trademark, they call themselves the St Paul's blood gang. | :11:30. | :11:36.
The rap talks of guns and killing. It boasts of ep their group being | :11:36. | :11:41.
better than the one in Easton. They made another video that was taken | :11:41. | :11:47.
off social networking sites. It was on this road two years ago they met | :11:47. | :11:51.
to perform their video involving real guns. The court was told when | :11:51. | :11:57.
hay wir were single Campbell prodouse add .22 handgun, that gun | :11:57. | :12:00.
was later found in a police raid. These three guns were found in that | :12:00. | :12:05.
raid on a house on Sussex Place hidden behind bath panels. But the | :12:05. | :12:09.
police deny there is a gang problem in Bristol. What we have seen and | :12:09. | :12:13.
what has been evidenced on the streets of St Paul's and Easton is | :12:13. | :12:18.
these young people going round and causing fear, to the residents. | :12:19. | :12:24.
Young people, especially the preteens and early 20s do things | :12:25. | :12:28.
together, they have done so over generations and culture, today, | :12:28. | :12:33.
some of that might be labelled gang behaviour, but it is what young | :12:33. | :12:37.
people do. Youth unemployment is now at record levels, and young | :12:37. | :12:41.
black men are even more affected than the right. -- rest. There are | :12:41. | :12:49.
no easy answers here. Officers investigating the crash on the M5 | :12:49. | :12:55.
near Taunton in which seven people died are again appealing for any | :12:55. | :12:59.
video footage of the firework display which took place nearby. 34 | :12:59. | :13:03.
vehicles were involved and 51 people were injured in the accident | :13:03. | :13:06.
nearly two weeks' ago. Police are partly looking at whether smoke | :13:07. | :13:12.
from display at the rugby club may have contributed to the crash. It | :13:12. | :13:16.
is a sad fact that one of the businesss that booms in a downturn | :13:16. | :13:19.
is fraud. Criminals are increasingly targeting those who | :13:19. | :13:23.
are already vulnerable, often by offering fake loans to people | :13:23. | :13:28.
already heavily in debt, who can't get credit from bank, the advice | :13:28. | :13:32.
from Trading Standards if you want a loan never send money up front | :13:32. | :13:37.
and check the company out carefully beforehand. In the first of a two | :13:37. | :13:41.
part investigation here is our correspondent. I was attacked | :13:41. | :13:46.
basically, financially, I was attacked. Ian wanted 2,000 to get | :13:46. | :13:52.
back to work. So he applied on line here, for a loan. They wanted 100 | :13:52. | :13:56.
up front he paid. They asked for more. Ian refused and was told he | :13:56. | :14:00.
would never get a penny. They have hurt me really really bad. Really | :14:00. | :14:05.
bad. They are not normal people. They are just, they are just | :14:05. | :14:08.
thieves. That is my personal opinion. Sorry if I am saying | :14:08. | :14:13.
something wrong. This is how I look at it. They robbed me of what I had. | :14:13. | :14:16.
This trader doesn't have a licence to lend money. We have tried to | :14:17. | :14:22.
contact them, but the phone number they give out is debt. The e-mail | :14:22. | :14:27.
bounced back and they didn't respond to our letter. Ian Storey - | :14:27. | :14:33.
- Ian's story isn't uncommon. These are payments made to fraudsters | :14:33. | :14:37.
posing as a loan company. She wanted to consolidate her debt bus | :14:37. | :14:42.
ended up paying 2 200 for a loan she would never receive. You feel | :14:42. | :14:45.
as though you have made a mistake. Because you are doing it so better | :14:46. | :14:49.
yourself, now I am worse off than when I first started ft it makes | :14:49. | :14:55.
you feel like a fool. There are people who get away wit and are not | :14:55. | :15:00.
punished. I am not sleeping and my house has deteriorated. People say | :15:00. | :15:04.
lit get better but when? I feel foolish and it is hard to get up. | :15:04. | :15:09.
She is now getting help, but had to take out genuine loans to cover | :15:09. | :15:13.
what she had lost. If they ask you for money up front my advice is to | :15:13. | :15:17.
walk away. I am getting a significant number of these types | :15:17. | :15:21.
of complaints coming across my desk, complaints where people have been | :15:21. | :15:26.
bs trapped essentially. They have sent money through the UK cash | :15:26. | :15:29.
transfer scheme with the bank or western union. Once they have sent | :15:29. | :15:33.
that money, there is no way of tracing it and no way of getting it | :15:33. | :15:38.
back. Tomorrow, a look at how those who are supposed to be helping | :15:38. | :15:43.
those in debt can sometimes make things worse. They are making money | :15:43. | :15:49.
out of people's misery. Now to the story of some skilled engineers, | :15:49. | :15:56.
who are back on the road. When the luxury car maker Bristol Cars went | :15:56. | :16:01.
into administration the factory closed 22 members of staff lost | :16:01. | :16:05.
their job, many years of experience seemed set to evaporate. But thanks | :16:05. | :16:09.
to the efforts and financial support of one local businessman | :16:09. | :16:17.
and enthusiast, a group of them have formed a new company. It is a | :16:17. | :16:21.
lifeline for the old life blood of Bristol Cars. The man who fell in | :16:21. | :16:26.
love with them as boy, who worked hard and bought one for his 50th | :16:26. | :16:29.
birthday gathering round him the team that helped build his dream. | :16:29. | :16:34.
We got chatting and I thought it would be a real shame to lose all | :16:34. | :16:39.
those fantastic skills they have built up, there is over 200 years | :16:39. | :16:44.
experience within this factory, of working on Bristol Cars. I thought | :16:44. | :16:50.
it would be lovely to try and keep it going, if it was possible. | :16:50. | :16:54.
Bristol has always had admirers since the glory days when the team | :16:54. | :16:59.
finished Fi first, second and third in their class at Le Mans, under | :16:59. | :17:02.
the supportive gaze of Sir George White. The job of building a | :17:02. | :17:07.
Bristol was seen as a privilege and despite everything that has | :17:07. | :17:11.
happened, it still is. colleagues I have got here, some of | :17:11. | :17:18.
them I have known for 35 years. To be able to employ them again and to | :17:18. | :17:23.
be working next to them again is a dream come true. When I thought my | :17:23. | :17:31.
life had finished really. It had been my life. 35 years, so I am due | :17:31. | :17:37.
to retire next year, I hope. So I hope I will have finishished my | :17:37. | :17:44.
days here. Are you going to retire? Ask my wife! Sid was there at the | :17:44. | :17:50.
start. The Bristol's been his life's work. He is 92. And part of | :17:50. | :17:56.
the new team. It is a lifetime to me. I was in the war, and when I | :17:56. | :18:01.
came out, working on the very first one, and to become a director of | :18:01. | :18:05.
the company like I was for many year, it's, it is nice to see it | :18:05. | :18:11.
going again, it really is. The next task, finding apprentices to learn | :18:11. | :18:17.
what it takes to be a coach maker. Restoring not just cars, not just a | :18:17. | :18:20.
work force, but a ewe meek set of skills that might have been lost | :18:20. | :18:30.
forever. It is a place of passion isn't it. Great to see that. | :18:30. | :18:35.
Thousands of people lined the streets to cheer and clap today, as | :18:35. | :18:38.
soldiers from the Gloucestershire based regiment one riesms were | :18:38. | :18:43.
given the freedom of the town of Chepstow. The unit has rushed from | :18:43. | :18:47.
Afghanistan. After the parade, family and friend watched as they | :18:47. | :18:50.
were presented with operational medals at the barracks. It has been | :18:51. | :18:57.
a busy day for Andrew and here is his report. Success in Afghanistan | :18:57. | :19:02.
is hard to measure in the short- term. But popularity, that can be | :19:02. | :19:11.
seen and heard here. 500 members of One Rifles marching through the | :19:11. | :19:15.
centre of Chepstow, outnumbered ten to one by the people waving them | :19:15. | :19:24.
past. We think they deserve it. We do. These fellas have gone through | :19:24. | :19:28.
one terrible experience, and it is the only thing we can do is support | :19:28. | :19:36.
them. Earlier they had been been given the freedom of the town, a | :19:36. | :19:42.
reWard said the mayor from the dedication and they had shown in | :19:42. | :19:47.
Afghanistan. It is different to what we have back here, when you | :19:47. | :19:51.
are out, you see a lot of thing, children for example, how poor they | :19:51. | :19:57.
are and back here we have everything on a plate for us. | :19:57. | :20:02.
week, One Rifles returned to their barracks after a gruelling six | :20:02. | :20:05.
months in Helmand province. Where several of their number were killed | :20:05. | :20:10.
on tour. Remembered here, when they finally blew out the candle that | :20:10. | :20:15.
had burned throughout their absence. Extinguished only when the last | :20:15. | :20:20.
member was finally home. In a couple of minutes time the troop | :20:20. | :20:23.
also get their operational service medals for their time in | :20:23. | :20:27.
Afghanistan. While they were over there they were work on Operation | :20:27. | :20:31.
Herrick and undertook more than 6,000 tours. In the six months they | :20:31. | :20:38.
were there they lost five of their company. Others have suffered life- | :20:38. | :20:41.
changing injuries. Rifleman Andrew Searle was brought from hospital, | :20:41. | :20:47.
to collect his medal today. After losing both legs to an improvised | :20:47. | :20:51.
explosive device, for mum Maureen, this show of support is so | :20:51. | :20:56.
important. Very proud of my son, very proud of his whole regiment to | :20:57. | :21:01.
be fair, they have done a sterling job out there, I am so proud of | :21:01. | :21:05.
them. Makes you feel there is lots of support out there for the lads. | :21:05. | :21:10.
It is really really overwhelming. Today then, a chance for family and | :21:10. | :21:14.
friends to say thank you to the soldiers, and remember the families | :21:14. | :21:19.
of those lost and injured. Proud and happy all my family are here. I | :21:19. | :21:24.
feel proud of what I have done. Brilliant. Really proud of him. | :21:24. | :21:32.
Very emotional day. Been nice. Rifles have played a key role in | :21:32. | :21:36.
Operation Herrick. From defusing explosives to building roads and | :21:37. | :21:41.
hospital, changing the infrastructure of war-torn | :21:41. | :21:45.
Afghanistan. Lovely parade. These medals recognition for their | :21:46. | :21:55.
bravery abroad, the freedom of Chepstow, a heartfelt welcome home. | :21:56. | :22:01.
Fabulous. Now, hundreds of people have turned out in Bath to see the | :22:01. | :22:05.
Christmas lights get switched on with the help of big names. | :22:05. | :22:10.
Legendary comedian John Cleese flicked the switch, alongside | :22:10. | :22:16.
Imogen and Steve Le Fevre. It all happened a few moments ago, there | :22:16. | :22:21.
it is. And that is what it looked like. What a great sight for the | :22:21. | :22:27.
city. Lovely ch Now, then, tomorrow is of course do I node to tell you | :22:27. | :22:31.
Children In Need, and we are hosting a very special | :22:31. | :22:35.
fundraisinging event on the grand pier, there is going to be losts of | :22:35. | :22:40.
o lots of entertainment with Pudsey and Will. One of the things we will | :22:40. | :22:44.
attempt is a mass singalong involving children all over the UK. | :22:44. | :22:48.
Gareth Malone will lead it from London. We met them when they came | :22:48. | :22:53.
into the studios for the first live TV performance and representing the | :22:53. | :22:59.
west on the big night will pupils from Broadoak School in Weston. | :22:59. | :23:03.
Practising for the live link up tomorrow at the pier. We are not | :23:03. | :23:07.
going to sing because it is a secret. So while the real song is | :23:07. | :23:12.
under wraps the students are singing a number by the Monday keys. | :23:12. | :23:17.
# Then I saw her face # Now I'm a believer # | :23:17. | :23:22.
But at the big show tomorrow we will hear them join voices with | :23:22. | :23:26.
3,000 others to complete a huge choir. And we will all join | :23:26. | :23:30.
together and sing this special piece nobody knows about until | :23:30. | :23:34.
tomorrow, when all round the country, all the choirs will join | :23:34. | :23:39.
force, to sing with Gareth, and this special piece. Pulling this | :23:39. | :23:42.
off will be quite a challenge. Trying to work out how all the | :23:42. | :23:46.
choirs are going to be singing together, when they are across the | :23:46. | :23:49.
country and trying to explain that to the students has been a | :23:49. | :23:54.
challenge as well. But hopefully it will be all right on the night, so | :23:54. | :23:58.
they say in show business. # I'm in love # | :23:58. | :24:01.
Gareth Malone will lead from Television Centre, linking with | :24:01. | :24:06.
those in Wales, Scotland, and all across England. For our singers, | :24:06. | :24:13.
representing the west from the pier, the nerves are started. Really | :24:13. | :24:17.
nerve-wracking because it is on camera, you don't see who is | :24:17. | :24:22.
watching but it is nerve-wracking. I thought it was going to be fun | :24:22. | :24:28.
and like, yeah. Fun and exciting, a new experience. Tomorrow night the | :24:28. | :24:33.
choirs will join by the power of TV. And Pudsey, to raise lots ofor | :24:33. | :24:41.
Children In Need. Ge for. That shouldn't be nervous. I am sure | :24:41. | :24:46.
they will be great. Ail am looking forward to Children In Need what is | :24:46. | :24:48.
forward to Children In Need what is the weather going to be like | :24:48. | :24:53.
tomorrow? Not too bad, you will be glad to hear. Pudsey won't need the | :24:53. | :24:58.
umbrella tomorrow, where ever he happens to be. Go on disappear bare, | :24:58. | :25:03.
we will see plenty of you tomorrow. Let us put the weather graphics up | :25:03. | :25:07.
and the story tomorrow is a good deal of dry weather about. There | :25:07. | :25:11.
will be more cloud round compared to today, moderately breezy but | :25:11. | :25:16.
mild for this time of year. That will certainly be the case. The | :25:16. | :25:20.
southerly flow well established bringing the maritime air milder. | :25:20. | :25:24.
Visibility has been a lot better and overnight we will see patchy | :25:24. | :25:30.
rain perhaps in western districts courtesy of the frontal structure, | :25:30. | :25:35.
otherwise it remains dry. The rainfall radar has shown how the | :25:35. | :25:39.
focus of the rain has been out over part of Ireland, up through the | :25:39. | :25:42.
Irish Sea and occasionally infringing closer to parts of | :25:42. | :25:46.
England and Wales but not that much. I think this feature here might | :25:46. | :25:51.
just start to bring patchy outbreaks of rain into the like | :25:51. | :25:54.
like of Exmoor, up the Bristol Channel but as you come further | :25:54. | :25:59.
eastwards, it is a dry story and there will be clear spells round. | :25:59. | :26:05.
Some hill fog developing, and the rain at most light, patchy, nothing | :26:05. | :26:12.
more than and as I said it will be moderately breezy. Temperatures | :26:12. | :26:16.
tonight, down to nine to 11, so as I said it will be a mild night. | :26:16. | :26:20.
That is how things will start tomorrow. Good deal of dry weather. | :26:20. | :26:24.
More cloud than today, but some sunnier breaks developing. | :26:24. | :26:27.
Particularly to the north of high ground, it should be well favoured | :26:28. | :26:33.
and perhaps patchy drizzle again, Exmoor, maybe up the Bristol | :26:33. | :26:36.
Channel, but by the evening, reverse taking place, the fronts | :26:36. | :26:40.
have retreated back out west, so we are back to dry conditions and with | :26:40. | :26:45.
winds having backed to a slight south-easterly there should be | :26:45. | :26:49.
shelter for Weston-super-Mare. Similar story elsewhere, so mild, | :26:49. | :26:54.
breezy, cloudy but dry would be an adequate summary through the course | :26:54. | :26:57.
of Friday. Temperatures up to 14, maybe 15 in a couple of spots. | :26:57. | :27:02.
Beyond that into the weekend, it is a similar pattern with the nuances | :27:02. | :27:06.
of how the cloud behaves so we expect dry weather. Again there | :27:06. | :27:11.
temperatures into the mid teens. No threat of over night frost. Sunday | :27:11. | :27:15.
is a similar picture. It is by the end of money we see the threat of | :27:15. | :27:18.
rain arriving from the south-west, overnight into Tuesday, but up | :27:18. | :27:23.
until that stage, dry, beyond that next week it is a 50-50 split. Some | :27:23. | :27:27.
dry, some wet. You have it all dry, some wet. You have it all | :27:27. | :27:30.
covered there. Thank you. Those temperatures not ideal for my frock | :27:30. | :27:34.
tomorrow night. However there will be a lot of running round to do. It | :27:34. | :27:38. |
