A Good evening. Victims of flooding are being told

that they will be able to gdt insurance for their homes in the

future. As the waters begin to recede on the Somerset Levels,

people are getting back into their houses and beginning to cle`n up.

But they face many months of work and the costs will run into hundreds

of thousands of pounds. Will Glennon's been to Muchelney today.

This is the home of Liz and Peter Nightingale. It has been under water

for eight weeks. Then finally, on Wednesday, they reclaimed their

downstairs floor. The water came in about 13 inches. That is sthll

pretty damp in the fireplacd. The Nightingales have lived on the edge

of Muchelney for 17 years and only flooded for the first time last

year. Their home insurance rocketed. They offered me, er, a renewal with

special terms, which amounts to approximately doubling of the

premium and a huge excess. What size excess? Well, the excess on this

building is ?15,000. If people in these flooded areas of Somerset were

left to the Open market, thdy probably wouldn't get home

insurance, they are too much of a financial risk now. They nedd the

Government and the insurancd industry to work together to make

sure they are not left on their own. A new scheme called Flood Rd is due

to be put in place in 2015. That will keep things affordable.

Affordability is not just about premiums, it is about excess as well

and we know there is an increasing number of sizeable excesses out

there, and that is why the Flood Re scheme won't just look at affordable

premiums, but will make surd that flood excesses remain affordable as

well. The Nightingales hadn't finished cleaning up from l`st

year's floods when they got hit again this year. They have `lready

begun their insurance claim but the whole process will be long `nd

costly. For them, a huge prdmium and an excess into tens of thousands is

simply the reality of living in a flood`prone area, and one they are

resigned to. A protest's taken place on the Old

Severn Bridge this morning, involving people who are concerned

about high tolls. Both Severn bridges will become publiclx owned

in 2018 once their original construction costs have been

covered. Today, campaigners were asking for the tolls to be lowered

or even scrapped in the futtre. They have a great effect on us, we

are the local community frol the area. It affects small businesses,

many of us have small busindsses in the area. Families, outings, we

would spend more money in England even when we spend money in Wales.

Dash England would spend more money in Wales. It would do the local

economy a huge amount of good if they were reduced or banned

altogether when the tolls come back into public ownership in 2008.

The Department for Transport has said that no decisions have been

made on toll pricing but anx future arrangements would need to lake

proper provision for repaymdnt of Government costs and maintenance.

In football, Yeovil drew 1`0 at Reading in the Championship but

ended the game with only eight men. Shane Duffy scored for Yeovhl.

Glovers keeper Marek Stek s`ved a penalty, then Byron Webster, Joe

Rawls and Kieffer Moore werd all sent off in the second half.

In League One, Bristol City beat Gillingham 2`1, with Sam Baldock and

Simon Gillett scoring at Ashton Gate. And Swindon drew 1`1 `gainst

Crewe. In League Two, Cheltdnham Town netted a 2`1 victory over Bury.

Rovers drew 0`0 at Northampton. And despite this try from Hdnry

Trinder and a conversion from Freddie Burns, Gloucester f`iled to

do the double over Northampton today in the Premiership.The final score

was 39`13. Rovers drew 0`0 at Northampton.

currently winning against Rotherham. The current school is 19`28 ``

Good evening. Some of us were lucky enough to see some lovely blue skies

through the day today, but we have seen cloud thickening up and that

process is continuing through tonight. That cloud pushing in from

the west, bringing with it ` few spits and spots of rain through the

night tonight. It could get quite chilly in the night, but with the

breeze picking up, temperattres should tend to rise towards dawn. We

could see a bit of early mist and fog as well, but again, that will

clear as that breeze increases. So we start tomorrow morning on a

cloudy note. Some patchy rahn expected through the morning but, in

the afternoon, we see a lind of heavier and more persistent rain

sweeping in and that could bring some coastal gales. Top temperatures

tomorrow between Hello. For some of us, it was quite

a decent state, some sunshine around, but not the case right now

in Northern Ireland and parts of Scotland, chilly with some rain as

well, you will have to warm yourself
