Good Evening. Thousands of people turned out on

the streets of Bath today to cheer on the runners in the city's annual

half marathon. More than 11,000 crossed the start line, braving the

wet and windy conditions. Both the men's and women's races werd won by

Kenyan athletes and more th`n ? million has been raised for good

causes. Will Glennon was thdre. 11.00 am and they're off. 13.1 miles

of challenging tarmac ahead and enough lycra to stretch to the moon.

It is such an emotional momdnt when you see them all suddenly go. You

hear the hooters and the whole lot charge off. When they come back over

the finishing line, and thex are full of excitement and joy, and

sweat, and often exhausted, it is an amazing feeling. And in the middle

of all this, one amazing man, who's been running almost nonstop since

Thursday, all over the West, completing a 206 mile challdnge I'm

a little tired but we're on the final leg now. The last 13 liles. It

has been a fantastic journex and the atmosphere here is almost alazing.

What a great way to finish the run. Some were clearly going to take

longer than others. But the winner from Kenya needed just over an hour,

a personal best time. I was not expecting to win. I am saying thank

God. Like the men, Kenya's women managed a one`two as well. But local

runner Lucy McAlister came hn third. I possibly went a bit hard `nd too

optimistic. I was pleased to hold onto the position, if not the time.

The crowd was amazing today. But if you're not in the medals, why put

yourself through the pain? Dach and every runner has a reason. Ly

husband has cancer so we ard raising money to get help for a new cancer

unit. We have raised ?6000 hn our unit. Last year more than ?2 million

was raised here for charity. They are confident that is one rdcord

that has been broken again. Final preparations are under way

ahead of Jenny Jones' bus tour through Bristol tomorrow. She'll

leave Downend School at 4pm on this double decker with her family and

friends. They'll then make their way into Bristol city centre for a

ceremony at City Hall to mark the snowboarder's achievements `t Sochi

where she won a bronze medal. In football, no losses for our local

teams this weekend with two wins and three draws. It was an eventful

afternoon for Yeovil Town, who had three men sent off, but still

managed a draw at Reading. Lichelle Ruminski reports.

The Glovers got off to a strong start at the Madejski in thd

Championship, after this he`der from Shane Duffy. Red card number one was

for Byron Webster, who saw red for conceding a penalty. Adam Ld

Fondre's spot`kick was saved by Marek Stech, but John Lundstram then

scored this bizarre own goal from the resulting corner. Joe R`lls and

Keiffer Moore also got their marching orders, but second bottom

Yeovil managed to hold on for a point. I can't remember too many

times that we have been down to eight men. I didn't think it was a

dirty game necessarily. We got ourselves 1`0 up, and deservedly so.

They came out with a bit of momentum, and their good pl`yer and

our miss`timed tackles led to.. One was two yellows and we had two reds.

Bristol City managed to movd out of the League One danger zone, after

Sam Baldock and Simon Gillett both scored against Gillingham. Ht ended

2`1 at Ashton Gate. Swindon were left frustrated, after they dropped

two points in their promotion push. Town drew 1`1 against Crewe, after

Ryan Harley gave them the ldad. And in League Two, Cheltenham Town

recorded a 2`1 victory over Bury, keeping them in mid`table. Three

points behind them are Bristol Rovers, who drew 0`0 at Northampton.

This was as close as Rovers came to breaking the deadlock. Michdlle

championship. .The 34`26 victory was enough to secure a bonus pohnt, as

they ran in four converted tries at Clifton Lane. Ben Mosses crossed

fuse a large of an Airbus. Ht was almost 50 metres long and took up

two lanes as it made its three our journey.

has been replaced by heavy, thundery showers. They're continuing through

tonight and into tomorrow. Those showers developing pretty qtickly

and bringing that risk of some hail and thunder too, but note wd will

see quite a few clear spells, and that means it will get quitd chilly.

We could well see some frost and ice. We have also got the rhsk of

some snow as we head into tomorrow morning. We could see a few

centimetres, perhaps, above 300 centimetres. Even those showers will

be heavy, thundery and slow`moving. We could well see a lot of surface

water and spray on the roads, but there will be some sunny spdlls

around as well. Top temperatures between six and eight degreds.

Thereafter, through the rest of the week I think we will see sole bright

conditions around at times, but also the risk of some further rahn or

Pretty heavy rain in parts of the country and for tomorrow morning,

This is where the rain is right now from Portsmouth to London across to

the north-east and the east of the country and it will push out into

the North Sea. Not all of the rain will clear away but it will be cold

enough for some icy stretches across parts of Northern Ireland, the

Northwest of England, too, but everywhere will have a chilly start.

Not exclusively snow to higher ground, maybe to some lower land,

too, but in the south-east, rain showers and pretty grey and

unpleasant, but other parts will be enjoying some sunshine, but Swales,

parts of Yorkshire. North-east Scotland looks like staying grey,

wet and cold. Not so bad on Tuesday for the bulk of country but if it

does rain, it will be in Cornwall and maybe Devon, but this rain could

completely miss us and end up in France. On Tuesday, still into

single
