Good afternoon. One of the West's most well known

live music venues in Bath h`s been severely damaged in a fire.

Crews were called to Moles nightclub and recording studios on George

Street as nearby businesses opened up for the day. It means ond of the

major routes through the city is closed. Zoe Gough is there.

Firefighters were called here at 9am after reports smoke was billowing

from the windows. This venud has known the likes of the Eurythmics

and Blur at the early stages of their career and continues to do

that with modern bands todax. Tallis whether you have got any idda of the

cause of this fire? It is under investigation. Ht

started on the ground floor. There were fears somebody might h`ve been

inside. In the early stages when the crew 's first arrived their heads

banging coming inside. Some neighbours reported the samd. Our

crews did access the premisds looking for people.

to cars and pedestrians. Residents in Swindon who fe`r nearby

excavation work has damaged their homes and businesses have mdt with

developers to voice their concerns. Cracks have been appearing hn

buildings close to the Regent Circus development. The problem is so

severe a chapel has been forced to close. Madeleine Ware reports.

Residents had hoped this new ?5 million retail complex would add

value to their homes. But concerns were raised when the local Baptist

Chapel was forced to close `fter cracks appeared in the walls and

ceiling. The chapel has got cracks all over

it. It has got reinforcing on both sides. It appears there is `

subsidence problem caused bx the side. Homes and businesses nearby

are now also seeing signs of structural damage.

At this garage cracks have `ppeared in the cellar. A public meeting was

held last night with the developers. The biggest problems are cr`cking,

cracking in plasterwork, vibrations in the house, movement, which

weren't there before all thd building work started. This is

raising massive concerns, l`rgely the resale of the property.

The developers ISG say any damage caused by their work will bd put

right. We will continue with the fhne and

sunny weather through the rdst of the day. We are looking at ` good

deal of clear skies. We havd got a southerly breeze today. It should

feel quite pleasant in the sunshine. Three tonight we will keep lostly

clear skies. The wind eases off We may get some mist patches. Not a

cold night. Any early mess with us tomorrow should quickly cle`r. We

are looking at plenty of sunshine through Sunday with lighter wind,

feeling warmer. More cloud through Monday. Some sunshine on Tudsday. We
