An investigation is continuing after two young women died in a car

crash in Gwynedd early yesterday morning. They have been named

locally as Sasha Jarvis and Sian Davies. They were travelling

through the village of Llanrug on the road to Llanberis and

Caernarfon. Flowers and tributes left for two

young women who lost their lives on New Year's Day. They have been

named locally as 19 year old Sasha Jarvis and Sian Davies, who was 21.

Both were from the area. They were the driver and passenger

in this Vauxhall Corsa, which hit a wall near the Glyntwrog pub in

Llanrug around 6 o'clock yesterday morning -- morning. They died at

the scene. 24 hours on, the local community is still time to get to

grips with what happened here. think it is genuine shock about

what happened. It is only natural that we feel, our sympathy goes out

to the family and the Friends of the two goals.

The two women were former pupils of us got Brynrefail in the Llanrug

and the headmaster described them as gentle and popular characters.

Good evening. It has been a man settled day and we have stormy

weather heading our way this evening, and there is a warning in

force for strong winds, gusts of up to 70 mph especially along the

coast. The reason for that is the area of low pressure making its way

in from the West, and with that comes the wind and rain. First

thing this evening it is fairly quiet, a bit windy, some clout and

a few showers but the rain band gets going towards the end of the

night with a risk of localised flooding and heavier bursts of rain

across Swansea right up to Newport. Temperatures 3-8 Celsius

approximately and a very stormy night. Tomorrow will start off wet

but quite quickly we will see the rain band clearing and by midday

much of the rain is gone, and behind it a few showers and some

sunshine with temperatures creeping up to about 12 Celsius, but mainly

windy heading our way in the afternoon, certainly remaining
