Faulty PIP implants contain industrial, not medical, silicon. | :01:08. | :01:11.
On Friday, in line with rest of the UK, the Welsh Government said it | :01:11. | :01:15.
would pay for their removal and replacement for NHS patients only. | :01:15. | :01:18.
Now that offer has been extended to the vast majority of patients who | :01:18. | :01:21.
had the implants privately if a doctor decides they have a clinical | :01:21. | :01:26.
need. It's been welcomed by patients, although it's unclear how | :01:26. | :01:29.
many women are affected. The offer of NHS treatment comes with a | :01:29. | :01:31.
substantial caveat - patients will have to prove that they have done | :01:31. | :01:34.
everything possible to pursue their private provider. Only those | :01:34. | :01:37.
registered with a Welsh GP will be able to apply. Health Secretary, | :01:37. | :01:39.
Andrew Lansley will clarify the latest situation in England | :01:39. | :01:41.
tomorrow but, tonight, Wales has ventured alone without fully | :01:41. | :01:51.
:01:51. | :02:02. | ||
knowing what the cost to the NHS will be. I know that the clients we | :02:02. | :02:06.
have been acting for will be delighted that the government is | :02:06. | :02:11.
going to come to their aid. What we do think is still the case, however, | :02:11. | :02:16.
it should be clinics picking up the Tapia. The most important thing has | :02:16. | :02:26.
:02:26. | :02:53. | ||
Let's talk to the Health Minister Lesley Griffiths. Why are you doing | :02:53. | :03:00.
this? I have been told that clinically, if we remove him plants | :03:00. | :03:04.
from a woman, the best way is then to put any implant in straight away | :03:04. | :03:09.
rather than have to go through a second procedure. There are also | :03:09. | :03:16.
difficulties. It could lead to an infection or that difficulties. | :03:16. | :03:20.
is estimated around 2,000 women have had these implants in Wales. | :03:20. | :03:25.
How much is this going to cost? think the number will be | :03:25. | :03:30.
substantially lower than that. Our initial investigations are that the | :03:30. | :03:33.
number is relatively low. The difference between removing plants | :03:33. | :03:38.
and putting in new implants is not that great. But this is providing a | :03:38. | :03:43.
safety net for women at risk. There is no firm evidence that the PIP in | :03:43. | :03:48.
plans need to be removed. But the woman must go to her private | :03:48. | :03:54.
provider first to see if they will do it. So you have no idea how much | :03:54. | :03:59.
you have committed the NHS in Wales to spend on this? We believe are | :03:59. | :04:06.
the cost is low. How much is that? I can't give you a firm figure. The | :04:06. | :04:11.
number of women who have had these implants is very low. Our initial | :04:11. | :04:16.
investigations suggest it will only be women who have gone over the | :04:16. | :04:24.
border into England that will have these implants put-in. Why should | :04:24. | :04:29.
the NHS pay for the cost of what are largely cosmetic procedures? | :04:29. | :04:35.
a woman has had them done for cosmetic reasons, she must go to | :04:35. | :04:38.
her private provider, only if she is at risk, and that private | :04:38. | :04:42.
provider should remove and putting new implants are. We would expect | :04:42. | :04:46.
the private provider to do that and if they did not, I would see that | :04:46. | :04:51.
as pretty disgraceful behaviour. What troops will those patients | :04:51. | :04:57.
have to jump through in order for them to have this NHS treatment? | :04:57. | :05:01.
I said, there is no firm evidence that these impasse me to be removed. | :05:01. | :05:05.
If it is found that a woman is at risk, and that has got to be | :05:05. | :05:09.
clinically proven, so she has got to see either her GP or the surgeon | :05:09. | :05:14.
who put an end in the first place. Are civil servants and council | :05:14. | :05:17.
employees paid too much and should their wages depend on where they | :05:17. | :05:21.
live? The UK Government has already announced a review into regional | :05:21. | :05:24.
pay and new figures show that Wales has the biggest gap between what | :05:24. | :05:27.
workers earn in the public sector against those doing comparable jobs | :05:27. | :05:35.
with private companies. Should a way you live determine how | :05:35. | :05:40.
much you earn? At present, public sector pay is equal across the UK. | :05:40. | :05:45.
It means workers in Aberystwyth don't lose out. But some are saying | :05:45. | :05:47.
that public sector workers are feathering their nests at the | :05:47. | :05:53.
expense of the private sector. Not so says a Brian Evans, headmaster | :05:53. | :05:58.
of this Primary School in a town. good teacher is a good teacher, | :05:58. | :06:02.
irrespective of postcode or way you live and your wages should reflect | :06:02. | :06:07.
that. I am concerned that we won't be able to retain quality staff | :06:07. | :06:10.
because people will be unwilling to move to rural areas because they | :06:10. | :06:16.
can get paid better down the road. Figures from the Institute for | :06:16. | :06:19.
Fiscal Studies show that public sector workers are far better off | :06:19. | :06:23.
than those doing a comparable job in the private sector. Women in | :06:23. | :06:29.
Wales can in 18.5 % more in the public sector, even though the UK | :06:29. | :06:37.
average pay gap is 10.2 %. Men in 18 % more compared to a UK average | :06:37. | :06:43.
of 4.6 %. It is estimated that the public, private wage gap in Wales | :06:43. | :06:48.
is the highest in the UK. This woman, who opened a legal practice | :06:48. | :06:52.
just over a year ago, says her company has been a victim of this | :06:52. | :06:57.
disparity. We have encountered several difficulties in relation to | :06:57. | :07:02.
salary. We find that the public sector are able to offer higher | :07:02. | :07:12.
:07:12. | :07:12. | ||
salaries whereas, in the private sector, we are not able to do this. | :07:12. | :07:16.
Introducing regional pay would have a detrimental effect on the Welsh | :07:16. | :07:20.
economy at according to one MP. ban would have a huge impact not | :07:20. | :07:25.
only in terms of morale and recruitment but there would be less | :07:26. | :07:28.
cash circulating in the local economy and the end effect of that | :07:28. | :07:32.
would be a hit on the private sector. If after taking industrial | :07:32. | :07:36.
action over pensions over Christmas, public sector workers could soon | :07:37. | :07:42.
face a fight over wages. The UK government says UK -- regional pay | :07:42. | :07:47.
is not about saving money. public sector pay is significantly | :07:47. | :07:51.
higher than private sector in serious and that inhibits the | :07:51. | :07:55.
private sector from growing. Private sector growth is what those | :07:55. | :07:59.
areas really need. With more than one in four of the Welsh workforce | :07:59. | :08:03.
employed in the public sector, any changes to salaries will affect | :08:03. | :08:07.
many people. The government will receive recommendations in the | :08:07. | :08:09.
summer. Two teenagers who died after their | :08:09. | :08:12.
car crashed on the Horseshoe Pass near Llangollen have been named as | :08:12. | :08:15.
Dale Williams and Jonathon Cassidy- Jones. They were both 18 and from | :08:16. | :08:20.
the Ruabon area. A third man is being treated for chest injuries at | :08:20. | :08:24.
Wrexham Maelor Hospital. A farmer, the first eyewitness at the scene, | :08:24. | :08:28.
has been describing what he saw. Dale Williams and Johnathan | :08:29. | :08:33.
Cassidy-Jones, known as Jonty, were both 18 and from the Ruabon area. | :08:33. | :08:36.
They died when their car left the road at the bottom of the Horseshoe | :08:36. | :08:40.
Pass. Llysfasi Agricultural College near Ruthin paid tribute to their | :08:40. | :08:43.
students, saying they were well liked and talented and hoped to | :08:43. | :08:45.
embark on exciting careers once they'd completed their courses in | :08:45. | :08:50.
forestry and machinery respectively. The third man, understood to be Tom | :08:50. | :08:53.
Pewtner, who also studies there, has been treated at Wrexham Maelor | :08:53. | :08:55.
Hospital for chest injuries but they're not thought to be life- | :08:55. | :08:59.
threatening. He was helped by a local farmer who was first to | :08:59. | :09:08.
arrive at the scene. I pulled up and I saw the gentleman coming up | :09:08. | :09:13.
the bank quite slowly. I stopped and just checked he was OK and then | :09:13. | :09:19.
immediately got on the phone to 999 and thankfully my phone worked. I | :09:19. | :09:24.
flagged down the next group of cars and two fantastic people, a | :09:24. | :09:29.
gentleman and a lady, jumped out and help them down to the calf. I | :09:29. | :09:33.
carried on talking to the emergency services are. The spot where the | :09:33. | :09:37.
Peugeot left the road is attracting flowers and messages in tribute. A | :09:37. | :09:39.
temporary barrier has been fitted where fencing has been damaged. | :09:39. | :09:42.
Emergency crews spent much of yesterday afternoon surveying the | :09:42. | :09:45.
wreckage and collecting evidence. The A542, which runs through the | :09:45. | :09:47.
Horseshoe Pass, was closed for several hours with diversions set | :09:47. | :09:51.
up for traffic. Meanwhile inquests into the deaths of the two men are | :09:51. | :09:54.
expected to be held tomorrow. The plane maker Airbus says moving | :09:54. | :09:57.
part of its wing production to another company in Korea will not | :09:57. | :10:01.
hit jobs at its Flintshire plant. The Broughton factory employs more | :10:01. | :10:04.
than 6,000 people, including about 200 on wing panels for the A320 | :10:04. | :10:09.
aircraft. That work is being outsourced to Korean Aerospace | :10:09. | :10:14.
Industries. A murder investigation is underway | :10:14. | :10:18.
after a car hit a 25-year-old man in the early hours of this morning. | :10:18. | :10:21.
Kyle Griffith from Cardiff was taken to the University Hospital of | :10:21. | :10:24.
Wales after the incident in the Docklands area of the city where he | :10:24. | :10:29.
later died. A 22-year-old man, also from Cardiff, has been arrested on | :10:29. | :10:32.
suspicion of murder and remains in police custody. | :10:32. | :10:34.
So the controversial high speed rail link between London and | :10:34. | :10:38.
Birmingham will go ahead and it'll be extended to Leeds and Manchester. | :10:38. | :10:41.
Trains travelling at up to 250 miles per hour will significantly | :10:41. | :10:45.
cut journey times. But what impact will the development of rail | :10:45. | :10:50.
infrastructure in England have here? Sian Lloyd reports. | :10:50. | :10:53.
It's been hailed as a once in a lifetime chance to change the | :10:53. | :10:58.
railways, cutting journey times and increasing capacity. Welcomed by | :10:58. | :11:06.
businesses along the route, but what about this side of the border? | :11:06. | :11:11.
We are spending all this money on a high-speed rail link while in North | :11:11. | :11:15.
Wales, the main arterial route between Chester and Holyhead is not | :11:15. | :11:21.
even a electrified. There are plans to develop this part of Cardiff as | :11:21. | :11:25.
the commercial hub of the Welsh capital over the next 20 years and | :11:25. | :11:28.
it couldn't be closer to the railway line. But there are | :11:28. | :11:31.
concerns from sections of the business community that they won't | :11:31. | :11:35.
be well enough connected. After High Speed Two, it'll be much | :11:35. | :11:38.
quicker to get to London from most major English cities than from | :11:38. | :11:41.
Cardiff. The journey time London to Birmingham will be slashed from 1 | :11:41. | :11:44.
hour 24 minutes to 49 minutes - potentially good news for those in | :11:44. | :11:49.
Mid Wales able to cross the border to use the new line. From | :11:49. | :11:52.
Manchester, the current journey of 2 hours 8 minutes will be cut by an | :11:52. | :11:56.
hour. Again, that may help rail passengers in North Wales needing | :11:56. | :12:01.
to get to London. London to Cardiff presently takes 2 hours. Even after | :12:01. | :12:08.
electrification it'll still take 1 hour 43 minutes. Mark Barry is a | :12:08. | :12:10.
business advisor who gave evidence to the parliamentary committee | :12:10. | :12:20.
about high speed rail. I think we all expected that it would go ahead. | :12:20. | :12:24.
Disappointed they have stuck to the originally proposed route going | :12:24. | :12:27.
through Cheryl Gillan's constituency and ignoring the | :12:27. | :12:31.
option of going via Heathrow directly which could have had some | :12:31. | :12:35.
benefits for us in Wales. The route has been controversial in England | :12:35. | :12:36.
for cutting through picturesque countryside, including the | :12:36. | :12:40.
constituency of Welsh Secretary Cheryl Gillan. She'd previously | :12:40. | :12:43.
threatened to resign but eight miles of tunnels have been added to | :12:43. | :12:48.
appease opponents. In the Senedd, First Minister Carwyn Jones | :12:48. | :12:57.
questioned the priorities of the UK Government. If at 500 million can | :12:57. | :13:02.
be found for a one mile town in Buckinghamshire, that money can be | :13:02. | :13:08.
found for valleys electrification and for Cardiff and Swansea | :13:08. | :13:11.
electrification as well. Cheryl Gillan issued a carefully worded | :13:11. | :13:13.
statement welcoming the extra tunnels but insisting the project | :13:13. | :13:17.
was still at an early stage. Much more to come before seven | :13:17. | :13:20.
o'clock: Is anyone going to ask us what we | :13:20. | :13:24.
think? Wales football captain Aaron Ramsey criticises the search for a | :13:24. | :13:27.
new manager. And this was how they used to do it | :13:27. | :13:30.
- we'll be reporting on the new equipment for the RNLI trialled | :13:30. | :13:38.
The mother of a child who died after being born with severe brain | :13:39. | :13:41.
damage says the midwifery unit where he was delivered should be | :13:41. | :13:46.
closed until problems there are sorted out. Noah Tyler was born in | :13:46. | :13:50.
February but died just before Christmas. Today the midwife who | :13:50. | :13:55.
treated his mother was allowed to continue practising. | :13:55. | :13:57.
Colleen and Hywel Tyler from Caerphilly had been looking forward | :13:57. | :14:02.
to the birth of their first child. But when Colleen went into the | :14:02. | :14:05.
University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff to have the baby, she says | :14:05. | :14:14.
things started going wrong. By the time he was born he was not | :14:14. | :14:20.
breathing. He was just white and I did know. They had to take him out | :14:20. | :14:25.
of the room. I thought it was just to clean him up. He had to be | :14:25. | :14:30.
resuscitated because he had died. They managed to bring him back and | :14:31. | :14:36.
spent the next six weeks at the neonatal unit with severe brain | :14:36. | :14:40.
damage epilepsy and cerebral palsy. Noah died two days before Christmas. | :14:40. | :14:43.
The midwife in charge of his care, Julie Richards, has been allowed to | :14:43. | :14:46.
return to work under strict supervision. A hearing today | :14:46. | :14:51.
extended that arrangement for another three months. | :14:51. | :14:58.
After everything we have gone through, to find out this midwife | :14:58. | :15:05.
might be able to go back to work and have her clean slate, where is | :15:06. | :15:09.
our clean slate? The Tylers are planning legal action against the | :15:09. | :15:17.
hospital. Part of the wider scope will be looking at the services in | :15:17. | :15:22.
Cardiff. It is the capital city of Wales and it should have Capital | :15:22. | :15:30.
City standards. Serious policies and procedures need changing. In my | :15:30. | :15:33.
opinion the midwifery than unit being closed down would not be that | :15:33. | :15:36.
drastic. Cardiff and Vale University Health Board has offered | :15:36. | :15:39.
its deepest condolences to the family. It says the individual no | :15:39. | :15:42.
longer works for them and believes appropriate action has been taken. | :15:42. | :15:44.
Colleen and Hywel Tyler are preparing themselves for Noah's | :15:44. | :15:47.
funeral later this week. Though they are expecting another baby | :15:47. | :15:51.
this year, they say the fight for justice for Noah goes on. | :15:51. | :15:55.
Co-operatives may fill gaps left by cuts to public services. That was | :15:55. | :15:58.
one suggestion made today with the publication of the new report | :15:58. | :16:01.
highlighting their worth to the Welsh economy. Co-ops are run by | :16:02. | :16:05.
people working together for the benefit of their members. They're | :16:05. | :16:08.
worth more than 1 billion to our economy and employs 7000 people in | :16:08. | :16:13.
sectors ranging from retail to farming and pharmacy. They have | :16:13. | :16:21.
been outperforming other companies. It looks like any other office but | :16:21. | :16:23.
the workers here aren't just employees, they are also | :16:23. | :16:28.
shareholders and decision-makers. Dulas is a renewable energy company | :16:29. | :16:34.
based in Machynlleth. It was set up as a co-operative 30 years ago. | :16:34. | :16:37.
Since then it has grown into the UK's second largest worker co-op | :16:37. | :16:47.
:16:47. | :16:49. | ||
with a turnover of 22 million. Here is an example of this model. | :16:49. | :16:54.
This would generate about 215 watts of electricity. Ben Robinson became | :16:54. | :17:00.
the company's director of the been elected by his colleagues. | :17:00. | :17:04.
really feel part of the organisation, they make decisions | :17:04. | :17:10.
by consensus. They feel as if they have a say. We encourage people to | :17:10. | :17:14.
participate in all aspects of the organisation. Through to | :17:14. | :17:17.
representation on the board. the company's co-operative ethos | :17:17. | :17:21.
extends to the lunch break. When the company started all those years | :17:21. | :17:25.
ago, members of staff would take it in turn to cook for everyone. With | :17:25. | :17:28.
nearly 100 people working here now that is no longer possible. But | :17:28. | :17:32.
they still make the time to sit and eat a free meal together and share | :17:32. | :17:40.
ideas between departments. At the Senedd today, the Bevan Foundation | :17:40. | :17:42.
released a new report highlighting cooperatives' worth to the Welsh | :17:42. | :17:51.
economy. And the Dulas model is something the Welsh Government is | :17:51. | :17:55.
keen to encourage. At the time of cuts to public services it has been | :17:55. | :18:02.
suggested co-ops could step in. have seen in Neath Port Talbot, for | :18:02. | :18:07.
example, rather than having a service cut workers can take over | :18:07. | :18:11.
the services. Many Welsh co-ops were set up to protect jobs during | :18:11. | :18:14.
the economic downturn of the 1980s. As the country faces similar | :18:14. | :18:17.
difficulties now, it may take co- ops like Dulas to re-energise the | :18:17. | :18:22.
economy. A feast of football. Here's | :18:22. | :18:26.
Ashleigh with tonight's sport. $$NEWLIN Good evening. Former Wales | :18:26. | :18:30.
manager Mark Hughes is back in football tonight. He is the new | :18:30. | :18:33.
boss at Queens Park Rangers replacing Neil Warnock who was | :18:33. | :18:36.
sacked on Sunday. Hughes has been out of work since quitting Fulham | :18:36. | :18:40.
last June. Today he signed a two- and-a-half year contract with QPR | :18:40. | :18:47.
who are currently 17th in the Premier League. | :18:48. | :18:50.
Wales captain, Aaron Ramsey, has criticised the Welsh FA saying it | :18:50. | :18:53.
is disappointing the players have not been consulted about who will | :18:53. | :18:56.
replace Gary Speed as manager. Ramsey is also keen that assistants, | :18:56. | :19:00.
Raymond Verheijen and Osian Roberts, remain part of the coaching staff. | :19:00. | :19:09.
More now from Tomos Dafydd. He is one of the bigger stars for | :19:09. | :19:13.
Wales and Arsenal. Aaron Ramsey usually quiet and reserved, hit out | :19:13. | :19:17.
a bosses at the Football Association of Wales saying players | :19:17. | :19:22.
are unhappy they have not had a say in who should get the national | :19:22. | :19:29.
manager's job. Another countries have had meetings with the FA to | :19:29. | :19:35.
discuss whether they get on. I would have thought they would have | :19:35. | :19:40.
contact did myself for the few other players to ask our opinion. | :19:40. | :19:45.
Continuity, he said, is key to future success. After winning four | :19:45. | :19:51.
of their last five games, Aaron Ramsey hopes Gary Speed's backroom | :19:51. | :19:55.
staff will stay on. For more Wales defender Chris Coleman is about to | :19:55. | :20:00.
return home after a spell in management here increase. | :20:00. | :20:04.
Wales is in a good position. Weather takes the job and, it will | :20:04. | :20:08.
not be easy. I don't think anything should be changed because it is | :20:08. | :20:13.
going in the right direction. If I said I wasn't interested, I would | :20:13. | :20:19.
be lying. The FAW say they have not had discussions with any candidates | :20:19. | :20:22.
and insist it is too early to say whether a new manager will be in | :20:22. | :20:25.
charge for the friendly with Costa Rica next month. | :20:25. | :20:28.
Former Wales striker Ian Walsh has joined me. Is Aaron Ramsey right to | :20:28. | :20:34.
criticise the FAW? You could see where the players are | :20:34. | :20:38.
coming from. They have got every right. There has been progress with | :20:39. | :20:43.
Welsh footballer the last 12 months. The players are quite right to have | :20:43. | :20:48.
their say. In my day, the manager was picked and you played a | :20:48. | :20:51.
respected the manager. Sometimes the players have too much say in | :20:52. | :20:56.
football. On the one hand, they are correct in having their viewpoints | :20:56. | :21:03.
but the FAW want a figurehead to prevent -- to take things forward. | :21:03. | :21:09.
This is a very difficult decision for the Welsh FA. You say they need | :21:09. | :21:15.
a figurehead, who might that figureheads been? And Chris Coleman | :21:15. | :21:20.
and Ian Rush have been mentioned. A Ryan Giggs would be the man but he | :21:20. | :21:24.
is still playing for Manchester United. Chris Coleman has got a bit | :21:24. | :21:29.
of experience at the premiere, he did a good job at Fulham. He was | :21:29. | :21:34.
sacked wrongly in my opinion. All of a certain he is back here are | :21:34. | :21:39.
ready to man it again. Some direct they could step into it. He said he | :21:39. | :21:44.
would take the two assistance as well. It is important the two | :21:44. | :21:48.
assistance are there. But Chris Coleman is his own man and will | :21:48. | :21:58.
:21:58. | :22:00. | ||
want to do things his own way. Cardiff City are away to Crystal | :22:00. | :22:04.
Palace tonight. They have beaten them in the league this season and | :22:04. | :22:10.
that has given them plenty of confidence ahead of some ice's game. | :22:10. | :22:17.
They were having a good run at the time. They had no conceded. That is | :22:17. | :22:22.
obviously good at the time. We have that in at the back of our minds. | :22:22. | :22:27.
We know they array tight outfits and the work hard. If we play like | :22:27. | :22:30.
we have recently, we know we will get the result. | :22:30. | :22:33.
There is live commentary on Radio Wales and Radio Cymru from 7:30pm. | :22:33. | :22:36.
Don't forget the highlights in the League Cup at 11:35pm here on BBC 1 | :22:36. | :22:40.
Wales. For nearly 200 years the RNLI has | :22:40. | :22:45.
been saving lives. It is vital crew members themselves stay safe during | :22:45. | :22:50.
rescues. Key to that are lifejackets. The first were | :22:50. | :22:54.
pioneered by the Institution more than a century and a half ago. They | :22:54. | :22:57.
have changed many times over the years. Crews are now to get new | :22:57. | :23:00.
ones and they have been trialled here in Wales. Roger Pinney got an | :23:01. | :23:09.
exclusive first look. Brave volunteers in any era when | :23:09. | :23:14.
the lifeboats were powered by Sale. RNLI crew members are taking to the | :23:15. | :23:17.
sea and life jackets. Cumbersome they may have been but they have | :23:17. | :23:23.
them. Make no mistake about it, life jacket is an essential item of | :23:23. | :23:28.
kit that members of the lifeboat crew can have. It is the absolute | :23:28. | :23:35.
life-saver, on a lifeboat like this they could be at sea for up to 52 | :23:35. | :23:41.
hours. It is all about comfort and safety. This did you taken from the | :23:41. | :23:46.
Holyhead lifeboat during search for missing crew members on the cargo | :23:46. | :23:52.
ship that sank last November, shows how brutal conditions at sea can be. | :23:52. | :23:57.
The new life jackets were trial that Holyhead. The crew members | :23:57. | :24:06.
themselves asked what they wanted. These were fantastic. Some of the | :24:06. | :24:09.
better features we have got with the new ones, a fact they can take | :24:09. | :24:14.
the weight off the back of your neck, they are more comfortable to | :24:14. | :24:21.
wear. Two different chambers of air, so in a normal lifejackets, it | :24:21. | :24:24.
would have one single chamber but now we have two chambers. If you | :24:24. | :24:31.
lose 1, we have got the ability to inflate a second chamber. On the | :24:31. | :24:36.
new features, we have a halt by Lisa that comes over the top. If | :24:36. | :24:40.
you end up in the water itself, you are covered. You have that ability | :24:40. | :24:46.
to cover your face and the survival rate is better. It is about | :24:46. | :24:51.
survival. The RNLI prick's pioneered the early life jackets in | :24:51. | :24:59.
the 1850s. Live turkeys have they evolved over the years for some | :24:59. | :25:06.
each development bringing in new materials. -- lifejackets. The | :25:06. | :25:13.
fund-raising stars for a roll-out of the latest design. Their 31 | :25:13. | :25:22.
likes Bass is in Wales -- that there are 31 RNLI stations in Wales. | :25:22. | :25:26.
They need to be fitted down with a new life jackets. We are reliant of | :25:26. | :25:31.
the support of the public to help us raise the funds. Don't forget | :25:31. | :25:36.
the RNLI is funded entirely by donations. Crew members say the new | :25:36. | :25:42.
life jackets will make a difference. The conditions they may face a sea | :25:42. | :25:46.
may not have changed over the years but thankfully they will tell you, | :25:46. | :25:48.
the equipment certainly has. Let's get the weather forecast now. | :25:48. | :25:56.
Shouldn't need our lifejackets No need for the winter woolies at | :25:56. | :26:01.

Her it has also been milder in Nantgarw where Mabel Gough is | :26:13. | :26:19.
celebrating her 107th birthday. Congratulations. Tonight is cloudy | :26:19. | :26:24.
and mild. Some dry weather but also some rain and drizzle million mid | :26:24. | :26:30.
Wales on the north. Temperatures not falling much. Tomorrow's chart | :26:30. | :26:34.
shows high pressure over France with the warm fronts moving north- | :26:34. | :26:38.
east was across the UK. Tomorrow, that means a dull and damp start | :26:39. | :26:43.
for much of the North and north- west. Mist, hill fort and poor | :26:43. | :26:49.
