headlines. Rhun ap Iorwerth wins the Ynys Mon | :00:07. | :00:10.
by-election for Plaid Cymru, hoping the resounding victory will be a | :00:10. | :00:19.
springboard for the party. That enthusiasm is not going to die away | :00:19. | :00:24.
after this by-election. This is enthusiasm and energy that will last | :00:24. | :00:27.
for a long time. Is this a turning point for Plaid | :00:27. | :00:37.
:00:37. | :00:44. | ||
and what does the result means for Also tonight, a man dies in the sea | :00:44. | :00:48.
off Anglesey. Another is in a critical condition after getting | :00:48. | :00:52.
into difficulty in the water. The restoration projects causing | :00:52. | :00:55.
owners headaches and costing taxpayer tens of thousands of | :00:55. | :01:05.
:01:05. | :01:05. | ||
pounds. And I will be finding out how this cutting edge 3-D face | :01:05. | :01:09.
scanner can help patients. And, in tonight's sport, the wait is | :01:09. | :01:12.
almost over. Tomorrow afternoon, it's back to the Football League for | :01:12. | :01:22.
Good evening. Plaid Cymru's newest Assembly Member has been sworn in | :01:22. | :01:27.
following the party's emphatic win in the Ynys Mon by-election. Rhun ap | :01:27. | :01:30.
Iorwerth said that his win could be a catalyst and springboard for the | :01:30. | :01:35.
party in Wales. The former BBC Wales journalist polled more than three | :01:35. | :01:38.
times as many votes as his nearest rival, the Labour candidate Tal | :01:38. | :01:43.
Michael. UKIP had a good night, narrowly missing out on second place | :01:43. | :01:47.
and pushing the Conservatives into fourth. The Liberal Democrats came | :01:47. | :01:50.
last and lost their deposit. Our Welsh Affairs Editor Vaughan | :01:50. | :02:00.
:02:00. | :02:02. | ||
Roderick reports. Wales's newest Assembly Member arrived this | :02:02. | :02:05.
afternoon to cheers from Plaid Cymru supporters. They jubilation echoing | :02:05. | :02:12.
the early-morning scenes. As votes piled up, supporters could hardly | :02:12. | :02:15.
believe their eyes. Their joy reaching a crescendo in the early | :02:15. | :02:21.
hours of this morning. When the result came, it exceeded their | :02:21. | :02:31.
:02:31. | :02:39. | ||
leader could hardly conceal their delight at the landslide victory. | :02:39. | :02:43.
have taken a positive message out to the people of Anglesey and it is | :02:43. | :02:46.
quite clear from the scale of the victory that the message has been | :02:46. | :02:53.
embraced. The people of Anglesey have really engaged in this campaign | :02:53. | :02:57.
and they have been interested in the politics we have brought to the | :02:57. | :03:04.
doorsteps. A positive campaign is just what they wanted to support. | :03:04. | :03:07.
For the other three parties, the result was a crushing | :03:07. | :03:16.
disappointment. Labour will be disappointed. The Conservatives must | :03:16. | :03:20.
be worried, to finish so far behind UKIP, it is not a good position for | :03:20. | :03:28.
them to be in. And the Liberal Democrats were frankly embarrassing. | :03:28. | :03:30.
Labour threw everything at their campaign for a seat that would have | :03:30. | :03:39.
given them a majority. But there was to be no upset victory this time. | :03:39. | :03:42.
is a disappointment, particularly when you are caught up in a | :03:42. | :03:47.
campaign. I spoke to a lot of people who were positive but we got second | :03:47. | :03:51.
place. That is up from third place in the last assembly election. That | :03:51. | :03:58.
is a good result but not what we would have hoped for. Labour had to | :03:58. | :04:05.
fight off UKIP, only narrowly beating them into second place. | :04:05. | :04:10.
are moving forward fantastically. We know full well that in 2016, we will | :04:10. | :04:15.
get Assembly Members elected. We have been predicted eight. First | :04:15. | :04:22.
past the post, keep an eye out for us. Just six weeks ago, green up | :04:22. | :04:29.
your worth was presenting the news for BBC Wales and S4C. His high | :04:29. | :04:35.
profile and local roots go some way to explaining his victory. As he set | :04:35. | :04:40.
off for Cardiff Bay, some were already critical of his support for | :04:40. | :04:45.
a new nuclear reactor, a plan at odds with the party's national | :04:45. | :04:54.
policy. But as he took the oath today, he was basking in the | :04:54. | :04:59.
afterglow of what was by any measure an extraordinary victory. It is | :04:59. | :05:02.
easily his party's best election result since the 1990s. | :05:02. | :05:11.
And Vaughan is at the Senedd for us now. This is a part of the building | :05:11. | :05:16.
where journalists and the public are allowed. Green up your worth is now | :05:16. | :05:21.
allowed to go down into the chamber where mere mortals are not allowed. | :05:21. | :05:30.
Who won yesterday? It was a victory for positive electioneering because | :05:30. | :05:34.
we took out a very positive message from the outset and the people of | :05:34. | :05:42.
Anglesey embraced that message. Also, our vision for the communities | :05:42. | :05:49.
on Anglesey and throughout Wales for a fairer and more just society. | :05:49. | :05:56.
party does not agree with you on the nuclear reactor. It is a debate I am | :05:56. | :05:59.
sure we will be having in years to come and it is a debate that is | :05:59. | :06:04.
alive in many parties. Nuclear power generation is not a matter of black | :06:04. | :06:10.
and white. What we have in Wales are the powers to work hard on economic | :06:10. | :06:14.
development and, in terms of what that offers on Anglesey, it is a | :06:14. | :06:20.
huge opportunity to develop the economy. Will you be going to Plaid | :06:20. | :06:25.
Cymru conferences and speaking up for that policy? I don't think we | :06:26. | :06:31.
need to do it as soon as that. There is a live debate. There are people | :06:31. | :06:34.
within the party who are not comfortable with nuclear power and | :06:34. | :06:40.
those who are. That is the same as with any party. The party leader was | :06:40. | :06:44.
happy with a specific set of circumstances we have on Anglesey. | :06:45. | :06:49.
Plaid Cymru has in the past had a policy where it says it is OK to | :06:49. | :06:52.
develop on sites where they have been nuclear power plants in the | :06:52. | :07:02.
:07:02. | :07:02. | ||
past. Is there anything else you disagree with the party about? | :07:02. | :07:05.
am pro-independence for Wales. I want Wales to have the powers to | :07:05. | :07:13.
decide its own fate. We will have that when the people of Wales are | :07:13. | :07:17.
ready for that change. But there are serious things we need to do to sort | :07:17. | :07:21.
out the economy of Wales. That is what we have been saying in this | :07:21. | :07:26.
election. It is about bringing prosperity to Anglesey. We want to | :07:26. | :07:33.
become a better, wealthier, better educated nation. You know the choice | :07:33. | :07:41.
Ieuan Wyn Jones made here once. Did he go into coalition with Labour, | :07:41. | :07:46.
the Liberal Democrats? Which one would you have favoured? | :07:46. | :07:51.
important thing for me is to get things done. How that is done is a | :07:51. | :07:56.
matter for debate at certain points in time. We need to use every | :07:56. | :07:59.
opportunity we can to make Anglesey wealthier and to build this nation | :07:59. | :08:07.
of ours. Do you want to lead the party one day? It is an interesting | :08:07. | :08:12.
question for someone who has just been elected. But I have come to the | :08:12. | :08:16.
assembly to become an Assembly Member and I intend to serve | :08:16. | :08:24.
Anglesey to the best of my abilities. It was clearly a very | :08:24. | :08:27.
good night for Plaid Cymru but Labour are now going to be asking, | :08:27. | :08:34.
what went wrong? Absolutely. The Labour vote dropped by 10% from what | :08:34. | :08:40.
was a poor result in Anglesey in the last assembly election. Carwyn Jones | :08:40. | :08:45.
has talked a lot about trying to revive Labour west of the river, we | :08:45. | :08:52.
are. It is not look as if they hit on the formal to do that. They were | :08:52. | :08:56.
not particular circumstances in Anglesey about candidates and so on | :08:56. | :09:01.
but it really was not a good result for Welsh Labour and it is one that | :09:01. | :09:04.
will cause them to scratch their heads and worry a bit about what | :09:04. | :09:08.
might happen to the Parliamentary seat, which is a seat Labour | :09:08. | :09:13.
currently holds. What about the performance of the other parties? | :09:13. | :09:18.
What does that tell is about Welsh politics? They UKIP result is very | :09:18. | :09:23.
striking. UKIP have done well in European elections in Wales before | :09:23. | :09:28.
but it has never done anything like this well in parliamentary or | :09:28. | :09:33.
assembly elections. It does suggest UKIP has arrived as some sort of | :09:33. | :09:38.
force in both politics. Disastrous results for the Conservatives and | :09:38. | :09:44.
Liberal Democrats. If you lose to the Socialist Labour Party, usually | :09:44. | :09:48.
a very marginal party, you know that something is going very badly wrong | :09:48. | :09:58.
:09:58. | :10:06. | ||
for you. A man has died and two others are in a critical condition | :10:06. | :10:15.
after a rescue on Rhosneigr beach this afternoon. The call came in at | :10:15. | :10:23.
around 2:45pm this afternoon. Two men had got into difficulties and a | :10:23. | :10:28.
third person has tried to help them before encountering problems. The | :10:28. | :10:35.
RAF Valley search and rescue helicopter came and a lifted two of | :10:35. | :10:41.
the most seriously injured casualties to the hospital nearby. | :10:41. | :10:45.
One man has sadly died according to North Wales Police. The third person | :10:45. | :10:52.
was rescued from rocks by a lifeboat crew based not far from here. He was | :10:52. | :10:57.
a teenager and had led injuries. It was quite a difficult rescue for the | :10:57. | :11:02.
lifeboat crew because, as you can see, the wind has been whipping up | :11:02. | :11:06.
the seas into quite rough conditions. But he was conveyed by | :11:06. | :11:10.
road ambulance. We still don't know exactly what has happened but | :11:10. | :11:14.
conditions may have played some part. | :11:14. | :11:17.
Two senior detectives could be sacked after a colleague was found | :11:17. | :11:21.
guilty of sexually assaulting female crime victims. Jeffrey Davies, a | :11:21. | :11:24.
detective with South Wales Police, was convicted at Swansea Crown Court | :11:24. | :11:28.
yesterday. His line managers, Philip Camm and Richard Jones, now face | :11:29. | :11:34.
police misconduct hearings. A midwife has been struck off after | :11:34. | :11:39.
a series of errors led to the death of a 10-month-old baby boy. Noah | :11:39. | :11:43.
Tyler was starved of oxygen at birth and suffered severe brain damage at | :11:43. | :11:47.
the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff two years ago. Julie | :11:47. | :11:49.
Richards was found guilty of misconduct by a disciplinary panel | :11:49. | :11:54.
last month. The Welsh Government has agreed to | :11:54. | :11:58.
help fund an incinerator that's being built in Cardiff. It will | :11:58. | :12:01.
treat waste from five local authorities that can't be recycled. | :12:02. | :12:10.
It'll give the project more than 4 million per year for 25 years. | :12:10. | :12:13.
People could be put off buying some of Wales' most historic buildings | :12:13. | :12:18.
because they fear being taken to court. Ministers want to give more | :12:18. | :12:22.
councils powers to decide over listed buildings. Five local | :12:22. | :12:24.
authorities currently have this special status, but there's concern | :12:24. | :12:28.
after an investigation by Wales Today has revealed that one of them, | :12:28. | :12:30.
Carmarthenshire, has spent tens of thousands of pounds prosecuting the | :12:30. | :12:38.
owners. Abigail Neal has more. This manor house near Lampeter has been | :12:38. | :12:44.
transformed from a derelict ruin to a 5-star luxury bed and breakfast. | :12:44. | :12:50.
But when emergency roof repairs were carried out in 2011, they ran into | :12:50. | :12:55.
problems with Carmarthenshire Council. They were completely | :12:55. | :13:00.
unreasonable. They would not sit down and discuss a way forward. They | :13:00. | :13:02.
could see water pouring in everywhere and that the owner was | :13:02. | :13:08.
also trying to live in part of it. The man was designated a Grade-II | :13:08. | :13:14.
listed building in 2003. The Council ruled the works and organised. An | :13:14. | :13:19.
appeal found in favour of the owners. The couple moved from | :13:19. | :13:25.
Belgium to make the manor home their business Tom spending half 1 | :13:25. | :13:29.
million on the renovation. High-end tourist accommodation the Welsh | :13:29. | :13:33.
government wants to see more of. But now the council are considering | :13:33. | :13:41.
whether to prosecute a game. Constant threats of somebody, from | :13:41. | :13:46.
people, always these letters coming. You can't imagine what feelings and | :13:46. | :13:53.
what stress it brings in your daily life. We want some peace. We came | :13:53. | :13:57.
here to have a peaceful life and to give people a fantastic little | :13:57. | :14:03.
holiday. But if they make life miserable, we can't be perfect for | :14:03. | :14:09.
other people. Carmarthenshire Council is one of five in Wales to | :14:09. | :14:14.
have especially delegated powers from elsewhere to make decisions | :14:15. | :14:19.
over listed buildings. I asked them why they are intent on pursuing | :14:19. | :14:25.
legal action. The works that have been done were a subject of an | :14:25. | :14:30.
appeal. Separate that is the offence that has taken place. These works | :14:30. | :14:34.
have been carried out and now a decision needs to be taken whether | :14:34. | :14:41.
there is a public interest there to prosecute. Do you think there is?It | :14:41. | :14:46.
is an ongoing case and I don't think it is appropriate to comment. | :14:46. | :14:51.
wanted to find out how much councils had spent on owners of listed | :14:51. | :14:54.
buildings. A Freedom of information request found that most of them had | :14:54. | :15:00.
spent very little but Carmarthenshire had racked up a bill | :15:00. | :15:05.
of 55,267 in the last few years, with Wrexham in second place | :15:05. | :15:12.
spending just over 45,000. It turns out this old mill has soaked up most | :15:12. | :15:19.
of Carmarthenshire's costs. Since 2007, the council has spent almost | :15:19. | :15:24.
51,000 prosecuting the owner for carrying out unauthorised works by | :15:24. | :15:27.
taking out machinery without consent. He says it was dangerous | :15:27. | :15:32.
and needed to be removed. As part of a new heritage bill being | :15:32. | :15:36.
considered, the Welsh government told us they want to extend what | :15:36. | :15:39.
Carmarthenshire has two other councils, in a bring more local | :15:39. | :15:42.
planning authorities to benefit from delegated powers, but something that | :15:42. | :15:48.
is a bad idea. It seems to me, when there are delegated powers, there is | :15:48. | :15:52.
a danger that you have a local perspective brought into place. | :15:52. | :15:59.
Perhaps, with bodies working as a national organisation, there will be | :15:59. | :16:01.
more consistency and transparency and people would know what the | :16:01. | :16:07.
situation is. Mark and Karen are now considering their next move with the | :16:07. | :16:11.
agent, in gauge in a battle they had not planned for. | :16:11. | :16:16.
Still to come tonight. London 2012 - a Games hoping to | :16:16. | :16:23.
inspire a generation. So have you taken up a sport since the Olympics | :16:23. | :16:28.
last year? Don't be afraid, but this is an | :16:28. | :16:31.
image of our health correspondent Owain Clarke as you've never seen | :16:31. | :16:35.
him before. This model was generated by a team of scientists at Cardiff | :16:35. | :16:39.
University using world leading 3D scanning technology. And as Owain | :16:39. | :16:42.
explains, it's hoped the research could help patients across the | :16:42. | :16:51.
country who need facial surgery or are recovering from strokes. It may | :16:51. | :16:55.
look like a film set from the latest Hollywood computer-generated | :16:55. | :17:01.
blockbuster, but don't be fooled. These cameras are located in a | :17:01. | :17:04.
basement at Cardiff University. The scientists are calibrating two of | :17:04. | :17:09.
the most advanced spate -- face scanners anywhere in the world. Even | :17:09. | :17:13.
tiny facial movements can be analysed, including mine. How does | :17:13. | :17:19.
this benefit patients? We will be able to assess how successful | :17:19. | :17:24.
surgery is in patients with, for example, a cleft lip. We will be | :17:24. | :17:32.
able to look at the recovery of facial movements. We will be able to | :17:32. | :17:36.
look at early diagnosis of Parkinson's disease, so how faces | :17:36. | :17:39.
move in patients who are at high risk of developing neurological | :17:39. | :17:46.
conditions. The university's dental school is already using the | :17:46. | :17:55.
technology to study muscle movement after surgery. Having to scanners | :17:55. | :17:59.
working side-by-side allows them, for the first time, to analyse | :17:59. | :18:06.
people's facial reactions while in on the station. We are trying to | :18:06. | :18:11.
figure out how humans perceive expressions. We were not only with | :18:11. | :18:15.
dentistry but psychology as well in terms of the perception side. It is | :18:15. | :18:22.
a brand-new research area. At a cost of almost a quarter of 1 million, | :18:22. | :18:26.
the equipment does not come cheap, but the truth is that there is | :18:26. | :18:31.
nothing quite as advanced as this anywhere else in the world. This | :18:31. | :18:36.
project has received some funding from the Welsh government. It is | :18:36. | :18:38.
hoped similar scanners could be installed in more clinical | :18:38. | :18:44.
departments which could benefit hundreds of Welsh patients. There | :18:44. | :18:50.
are approximately 50 patients are born with cleft lip and palate every | :18:50. | :18:53.
year in south Wales. Approximately 650 people suffer from a stroke in | :18:53. | :18:59.
Cardiff alone every year. They say every face tells the story. It is | :18:59. | :19:03.
hoped this research can help doctors better tailor treatment to | :19:03. | :19:06.
individual needs. Professor Julie Williams has been | :19:06. | :19:10.
appointed as the new Chief Scientific Adviser for Wales. The | :19:10. | :19:13.
Merthyr-born scientist is an eminent academic in the field of Alzheimer's | :19:13. | :19:16.
research. In her new role, she'll be responsible for advising Government | :19:17. | :19:19.
ministers. She also hopes to encourage youngsters to consider a | :19:19. | :19:22.
career in science. Time for the day's sport news now. | :19:22. | :19:26.
Here's Claire. Good evening. The football season is | :19:26. | :19:30.
upon us. Swansea City kicked things off in style last night and tomorrow | :19:31. | :19:34.
Newport County play in their first Football League match for a quarter | :19:34. | :19:38.
of a century. More on that in just a minute. Michael Laudrup described it | :19:38. | :19:41.
as a perfect night after his side thrashed Malmo 4-0 in the first leg | :19:41. | :19:45.
of their Europa League qualifying tie. Record signing Wilfried Bony | :19:45. | :19:49.
grabbed two goals. He was one of five players to make their debuts | :19:49. | :19:54.
for the Swans. The second leg in Sweden takes place next Thursday. | :19:54. | :19:57.
Cardiff City's record signing Stephen Caulker says he had no | :19:57. | :19:59.
qualms about signing for the club despite spending the | :19:59. | :20:03.
season-before-last at local rivals Swansea. The 8 million England | :20:03. | :20:06.
international was introduced to the Welsh media this morning alongside | :20:06. | :20:14.
defender John Brayford and goalkeeper Simon Morris. | :20:14. | :20:18.
The wait is almost over for Newport County fans. Tomorrow afternoon at | :20:18. | :20:20.
3.00pm, they take on Accrington Stanley in their first Football | :20:20. | :20:24.
League match since the late 1980s. They were promoted after a thrilling | :20:24. | :20:27.
Wembley play-off final against Wrexham in May. And now all eyes are | :20:27. | :20:35.
firmly on the future. Jordan Davies has more. A moment to treasure. | :20:35. | :20:38.
Silverware and Newport County's first team photo in the football | :20:38. | :20:43.
league for a quarter of a century. And their 40 million lottery | :20:43. | :20:46.
winning chairman has not let that out of his sight since promotion in | :20:46. | :20:53.
May. I am not a sugar daddy, I am not an open cheque-book, but if we | :20:53. | :20:57.
are in a position to do something and we need another player and | :20:57. | :21:00.
Justin comes and talks to me, we usually get around it and we usually | :21:00. | :21:07.
do what is best for the club and best for the team. 1987 and here are | :21:08. | :21:12.
the black and Amber 's teaching Swansea a footballing lesson. A goal | :21:12. | :21:17.
Michu would be proud of. But the win could not prevent relegation and | :21:17. | :21:22.
Newport dropped out of the football league at the end of the season. So | :21:22. | :21:27.
what a moment this was. A win against Wrexham in an all Welsh | :21:27. | :21:36.
Wembley affair and a dream come true. A time for the city to | :21:36. | :21:41.
celebrate. Each player has been awarded the freedom of Newport for | :21:41. | :21:46.
their achievement. And especially a proud moment for the club captain | :21:46. | :21:49.
who thought he would never play league football again after serving | :21:49. | :21:58.
a prison sentence for assault. I was in there, your mind changes | :21:58. | :22:01.
every second. The amount of time I thought I would never kick a ball | :22:01. | :22:05.
again in a professional team, you would not be able to count. But I | :22:05. | :22:10.
have had a chance and I will always be grateful to Newport. The ground | :22:10. | :22:16.
and team are ready. All Newport needs now is for Accrington Stanley | :22:16. | :22:21.
fans to appear and the dream will be complete. From where I am sitting, | :22:21. | :22:31.
:22:31. | :22:32. | ||
who knows where and when that dream will end? | :22:33. | :22:36.
Getting people to take-up sport was one of the aims of the London Games | :22:36. | :22:39.
but, 12 months on, there are warnings tonight the Olympic legacy | :22:39. | :22:42.
could be jeopardised because of squeezed budgets. The body | :22:42. | :22:44.
representing councils here says opportunities for young people could | :22:44. | :22:51.
be affected. Here's Tomos Dafydd. We cheered on the winners, celebrated | :22:51. | :22:55.
their success and were told endlessly about legacy. 12 months | :22:55. | :23:00.
on, did the London games really make a difference? One aim was persuading | :23:00. | :23:08.
more young people to take up sport. People like Alice. I could see it | :23:08. | :23:12.
when the Olympics was on, I was watching it, and I like the feeling | :23:12. | :23:17.
of swinging in the air and going upside down. Gymnastics clubs have | :23:17. | :23:24.
seen a jump of 25% in membership since the games. At this club near | :23:24. | :23:27.
Curragh Philly, it has been running for 40 years and it has never been | :23:27. | :23:35.
bigger or busier. Last year we only had about 20 members and the | :23:35. | :23:41.
majority of those were recreational gymnasts. We now have 134 members. | :23:41. | :23:47.
It has grown a great deal. Budding athletes may find this service is | :23:47. | :23:50.
being squeezed with an estimated 5% reduction in leisure spending by the | :23:51. | :23:56.
majority of our councils and there are more cuts expected. | :23:56. | :24:01.
authorities, it means trying to cover their statutory services like | :24:01. | :24:06.
social services and education services. Inevitably, the cuts will | :24:06. | :24:12.
fall heavily on the discretionary services like leisure. Porthmadog | :24:12. | :24:15.
ladies has seen numbers more than doubled since last summer but people | :24:15. | :24:23.
here say they cannot rely solely on the Olympics. It was a big thing, | :24:23. | :24:27.
Great Britain did really well and at the time people wanted to take part | :24:27. | :24:34.
in sport but I am not sure how much has impacted in Porthmadog. Nobody | :24:34. | :24:40.
started back into hockey because of the Olympics. 12 months ago, | :24:40. | :24:45.
inspiration and legacy with the two buzzwords but with a squeeze on | :24:45. | :24:47.
funding and facilities, delivering the games's legacy may not be | :24:47. | :24:55.
straightforward. And Glamorgan were unable to press home their early | :24:55. | :24:57.
advantage against Hampshire. They had the home side rocking but the | :24:57. | :25:05.
home side recovered to 261-6 by the close. | :25:05. | :25:15.

Derek is in Cardiff Bay for us We've seen a bit of a change today. | :25:19. | :25:24.
Some sunshine but showers in places as well. A little cooler and fresher | :25:24. | :25:26.
too, although the temperature in Cardiff still reached 25 degrees | :25:26. | :25:31.
Celsius. The weekend will bring a mixture of weather. Heavy showers | :25:31. | :25:37.
and some rain. Temperatures not as high but the good news is that I can | :25:37. | :25:43.
promise some sunshine. This evening and tonight, there will be scattered | :25:43. | :25:52.
showers. Most of the showers in the south and west. Heavy downpours in | :25:52. | :26:00.
places with thunder. Some dry, clear weather as well. Lowest temperatures | :26:00. | :26:06.
around 14 degrees in Carno. 15 in Llantrisant. Tomorrow's chart shows | :26:06. | :26:11.
low pressure near Scotland. Tomorrow will see a mixture of sunshine and | :26:11. | :26:16.
scattered showers. Most of the showers in the south and west - | :26:16. | :26:22.
Powys and Cerdigion. If you catch one it could be heavy and thundery. | :26:22. | :26:27.
A few places will stay dry and sunny, especially in the north. | :26:27. | :26:31.
Cooler than today. Top temperatures between 18 and 22 degrees Celsius. | :26:31. | :26:38.
In Bridgend, I wouldn't rule out a few showers. Sunny spells as well. | :26:38. | :26:42.
Breezy with a high of 20 degrees Celsius in Pencoed. In Flintshire | :26:42. | :26:45.
there's a good chance it will stay dry and fairly sunny tomorrow. | :26:45. | :26:48.
Pleasantly warm. Tomorrow night, heavy showers in places but | :26:48. | :26:51.
otherwise dry. Temperatures dropping to 13 degrees Celsius in Wrexham. | :26:51. | :26:55.
Sunday will start dry and bright. Just a few showers here and there. | :26:55. | :26:59.
However, rain will spread from the south later in the morning and | :26:59. | :27:03.
during the afternoon. Overnight into Monday could be wet. Some heavy, | :27:03. | :27:08.
possibly thundery rain, so stay tuned to the forecast. The heavy | :27:08. | :27:18.
:27:18. | :27:23. | ||
rain clearing to sunshine on Monday has been sworn in following the | :27:23. | :27:28.
party's emphatic win in the Anglesey by-election. They say the win could | :27:28. | :27:31.
be a catalyst and a springboard for the party in Wales. | :27:31. | :27:36. |
