Good evening. There are calls to relax hunting

restrictions and allow packs of dogs to flush out foxes on hill farms in

Wales. The current law only allows two dogs to be used. Today,

traditional Boxing Day hunts have been taking place amid concerns that

an increasing number of lambs are being attacked by foxes. Jenny Rees

reports. Derek Morgan farms sheep and cattle

on the uplands of Llangurig in Powys. Over the years, he's lost a

number of lambs - bad weather has played a part - but he says fox

attacks are increasing. He's one of a number who are calling for a

relaxation in hunting laws, to allow packs of hounds to flush out foxes,

rather than just two, arguing it's more effective and humane. We've got

two dogs chasing a fox all day and it seems ridiculous if you have a

pack of hounds, they can flush them out and the job is done.

The ban on hunting was brought in in 2004 and the South Pembrokeshire

Foxhounds are among those that regularly trail hunt instead. Calls

for a relaxation in the law have gained support from both

Conservative, Liberal Democrat and Plaid Cymru politicians in Wales.

But of course, any change would be controversial. Animal welfare

campaigners remain firmly against the idea. This is trying to repeal

the act through the back door. Just using two dogs can flush out a fox

and the FA is an issue fox predation. The department for rural

affairs in Westminster say the Government recognises that hunting

evokes strong views. It will now ask MPs whether the Hunting Act should

be repealed. Around 500 Cardiff City supporters

protested against the club's owner, Vincent Tan, before this afternoon's

Premier League match against Southampton. They're unhappy with

the way he's running the club, after he threatened to sack manager Malky

Mackay last week. They gathered to hours before kick-off to make their

point. They say in Malaysia are Vincent Tan is trampling on the club

's traditions. Pointedly, almost all wearing blues. The core of these

protesters have been angry ever since Titanic changed the club

scholars but there are others who had reluctantly accepted that switch

but have now changed their minds to the way the Marty Mackay has been

treated. He could have been the best and only ever had if they'd left the

football side to him. That's what most sensible fans want. Let him get

on with the job he's been appointed. He's got to go. Time was inside the

Chelsea. In League Two, Newport County won away at Wycombe 1-0 and

in the Conference, there was a 3-2 defeat for Wrexham at home to

Alfreton. Rugby, and a converted Ian Evans try

late in the game gave the Ospreys a 10-points-to-6 win at the Scarlets

in the Pro12. At half-time in today's other Welsh Derby, it was

10-all for the Dragons and Blues. With warnings of some poor weather

Today has been other, before the storm in fact, when expecting some

wet and windy weather to make its way across soon. We could see 10-20

millimetres of rain and perhaps a little more over the hills and a

amber weather warning as we could see gusts of up to 70 mph especially

former Northern and westerly part of the country. There will be heavily
