Good evening. died suddenly at a house in

Carmarthenshire. Police have seized the family's pet dog. Eliza-Mae

Mullane was flown by air ambulance from her home in Pontyberem, near

Cross Hands, to the University of Hospital in Cardiff this morning.

The dog, an Alaskan Malamute, is not a banned breed. Cemlyn Davies

reports. Police investigations have been continuing here all day

following the tragic death of a baby girl who was less than a week old.

Her name was Eliza-Mae, the story of Sharon and John. The alarm was

raised by her mother. Her brother and sister were also in the house

when emergency services arrived. Eliza-Mae was taken to helicopter to

the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff, but sadly doctors there

were not able to save her. I clearly stated an investigation, our hearts

go out to the family. As you can imagine, the family are hugely

distressed. The liaison officers are supporting the family through this

difficult time. The first response car, the ambulance going down the

street, doctors. I hope I live police, and their vehicles. And then

there was a dog vehicle here. It was just crawling with police and

unrecorded. There was so much going on, you don't know what's happening.

Somewhere whether the baby involved, it's always something terrible. It's

something you can't retake in. This lady left flowers in memory of

Eliza-Mae. She knew the family and the dog. A normal dog, friendly, it

was. It is a very friendly dog. I don't think they would get over it

to be honest. I don't dig anyone could get over something like this.

The dog has been seized by police as part of their enquiries. It is a

popular breed of domestic dog, a Alaskan Malamute, which is not on

the banned list, but it can be dangerous. The Alaskan Malamute is a

sled dog, one of the old Arctic sled dogs. It's a very powerful dog.

Heavy boned, heavy bodied, it can grow to a weight of 85 and ?125.

Back in Pontyberum, the community is still coming to terms with what has

happened here, and everyone's thoughts are with the family of

six-day-old Eliza-Mae. Avon and Somerset Police have charged the

chief executive of Caerphilly council Anthony O'Sullivan and

deputy chief executive Nigel Barnett with misconduct in a public office.

It follows payments and pay rises made back in 2012. The head of legal

services at the authority, Daniel Perkins, has also been summoned for

the same offence A nine-year-old girl who drowned while white-water

rafting on holiday in Turkey was unlawfully killed, the coroner has

ruled. Cerys Potter, from Llancarfan in the Vale of Glamorgan, was flung

from an inflatable raft in 2010. Last year, four men involved in

running the white water rafting trip were jailed in Turkey for reckless

killing. Now we've had three and half years fighting this through

Turkey. And now here. We will never stop campaigning to try and make it

safer for kids going on holiday in Turkey. But now, it's time for us to

grieve. We haven't had time to do that. And now we can add just a bit

of family time. Cerys Potter's father Terry. Growing numbers of

ambulance staff are being signed off on long-term sick leave because of

stress. Unions say the problem is so bad, they are now seeing cases of

personal injury claims for compensation. Abigail Neal has this

special report. Ambulances delayed outside A Unable to deliver

patients, unable to respond to other calls coming in. It is stressful all

round. A Freedom of information request shows the amount of time

crews are waiting outside hospitals is on the rise. And so too are the

number of staff being signed off on long-term sick because of stress.

Tina is one of them. A paramedic from the central and western region

who wanted to remain anonymous. It was constant pressure trying to hit

targets and be somewhere else when you're dealing with one patient.

You're not getting time to clear your head between one patient and

another. You just haven't got time think. You're constantly barrage

from one job to the next and it was getting home and just being useless

to man or beast. You just couldn't function as a human being. You are

just a shower. The ambulance service has the highest sickness level in

the NHS in Wales. 7.5% also compare that to a number of front-line

service, the police force, and their average works out at almost half

that, 4%. The figures are calculated at a number of hours lost, and when

you look closely, stress is the second most common reason given for

absence. In 2011 - 12, 9657 hours were lost because of stress, and

12-13, it had risen to 11,255. That's almost three times as many

people being signed off for stress as for a common cold or flu. OK, is

she awake pretty much issue breathing? 500 909 calls coming to

this control room every day. Plans to reduce the number of hospitals in

Wales means ambulances will have to travel greater distances and

managers accept that means they will need more staff. We will need to

provide more training. need more staff. We will need to

the skills of our staff so they can care for patients over a longer

period of time. But not necessarily more paramedics? I'm not saying

there won't be. If those services are moving, we will need more

staff. Coping under pressure has always been part of the job. But the

growing cost of the stressed and sick in the workforce, is proving

harder to manage. Football, and Newport County recorded their first

League win in seven games to end Oxford's unbeaten record away from

home in League Two. Justin Edinburgh's men beat Oxford 3-2,

with Rene Howe, Ryan Burge and Chris Zebroski each putting one away. No

such luck for Wrexham, who could only manage a 0-0 draw with

Cambridge United. The former Swansea manager Michael

Laudrup has described the club's reasons for sacking him as silly.

The Dane spoke out at a press conference in London, exactly two

weeks after being dismissed for breach of contract. The club has

declined to comment on his claims. Laudrup said his sacking by chairman

Huw Jenkins came out of the blue. While I'm talking on the phone, I

received a mail which says that, due to breach of contract, it is with

immediate effect terminated. Just a few hours after we just shake

hands. Rugby, and Wales fly-half Rhys Priestland has extended his

contract with the Llanelli Scarlets. The 26-year-old had been offered a

central contract by the Welsh Rugby Union. A taste of spring today which

probably won't last long, Derek? Absolutely, Jamie. It's going to

temperatures reached 11 Celsius in places, 50 Fahrenheit. More dry and

mild weather tomorrow. But it's not going to stay dry all week. Most

showers but come on the whole, a lot of dry weather across the UK and the

rain will reach the far south-west later in the afternoon. 3pm in

Wales, tomorrow, most of the country dry, bright, little sunshine. Quite

mild, too, but the wind and rain will be to the far south-west. As we

head towards evening, a warm front will move north east of bringing

more rain and drizzle. The cloud lowering with widespread hill fog

and the wind picking up as well. A wet and windy start on Thursday but

the rain will clear followed by showers and brighter skies. Some

sunshine on Thursday afternoon. Friday, a chilly day, windy, too.

Some of the showers heavy. Hail and thunder. Cold enough for snow on the

mountains. Saturday, the best day of the weekend but there is more wind
