Good afternoon. A union that represents construction workers says

a drop in the number of spot checks on building sites here could lead to

workers being put at risk. Figures obtained by BBC Wales show around

500 inspections were done in the last financial year, down from more

than 800 in 2012. The Health and Safety Executive says it's "working

smarter", targeting the worst offenders, with the number of

accidents in decline. Two men who ransacked the home of

Swansea City's head coach Garry Monk during a crime spree of more than 30

burglaries are beginning jail terms totalling ten years. Ben Llewellyn

and James Green, who are both from Morriston, admitted offences dating

back to 2002. Monk's home in Killay was raided in November last year

while he was recovering from knee surgery.

A man has been cut free from his car and taken to hospital after a

collision at Ruabon near Wrexham. It happened this morning. The roof was

cut away by the Fire Service. The driver of the second car was not

injured. Rugby and Wales are back in

contention to win the Six Nations. That's according to Head Coach

Warren Gatland. His side bounced back from defeat in Ireland a

fortnight ago to thrash the previously unbeaten France by 27

points to six. Wales are bidding to become the first side to win three

Six Nations titles in a row. I am often grumpy with these guys but we
