week you may be wondering where the summer has gone. There's plenty of

rain in the forecast and it will be cool. The last vestiges of the heat

hung onto the eastern parts of England. For most of Tuesday was a

good deal cooler, stuck in the midto high teens. The reason stp a

weather front bringing outbreaks of rain west to east. It continues its

journey overnight, ushering in much, much cooler air and heavy showers

during tomorrow. Not just showers for some, there will be persistent

rain across north-east England and curling into Scotland as we go

through tomorrow. There it will sit for much of the day. For the rest

of us a speckling of showers. There'll be some sunshine, but

these showers from the word go, will be heavy and possibly thundery.

Very few places avoiding them entirely. At the cricket there'll

be some sunshine and some interruptions with heavy and

possibly thund reshowers. A lively -- thundery showers.

Much cooler than today across the South-East, at 22 degrees.

Brightness a -- along the south coast. Wet weather into south-

western parts of England on a strengthening wind. A very

unfriendly end to the day. 4pm, brightness across north-eastern

parts of Wales perhaps. For Northern Ireland a mixture of

sunshine and showers. The winds are lighter here, which means the

showers will last longer. 17 degrees at best in Belfast. Here is

that wet weather, the central belt northwards really. It will rain for

much of the day. Widely we could see 30mm of rain. In parts a good

deal more than that. Hence the Met Office has issued a warning here.

It could cause disruption. Into tomorrow evening, across the south-

west, it's this squally weather which will spread heavy rain across

a good part of the UK by the time we get into Thursday, which will be
