This unstable air has been with us and it is pushing across. That is a

recipe for those thunderclouds to brew up and they are still tracking

their way northwards. It is unusual to keep them so vigorous into the

night. There are still some lively downpours as we go into Scotland

and we are continuing with heavy showers around the coast. Inland

temperatures will be taking a tumble with the clear skies. We

could even see a touch of frost in one or two sheltered spots. For

Scotland not as much in the way of frost. There is too much cloud.

Persistent rain in Shetland. Central and northern Scotland, the

heavy showers will ease a little bit. In the North of England it

will be dry it with clear conditions. Around the coast those

showers will continue and they will be there for the morning rush hour.

Still one or two across the south- west. By and large it will be a

drier day than we have seen through the past few days. Certainly a

bright, if chilly, start across Wales. Western Wales is cloudier.

For Northern Ireland few showers through much of the day. A vast

improvement on conditions before showers arrived later on. During

the afternoon the showers will become fewer and further between.

There will be some in the far South East, but elsewhere just one or two

showers. Temperatures in the sunshine are what they should be at

this time of the year, 12 or 14. Showers continue on Wednesday night
