Some of us had heavy rain today, others were cloudy, grey and chilly.

He reminder that it is the middle of November. But this weekend for

most of us will be dry and mild. You might need convincing if you

are under the rain clouds right now, we saw heavy cloud across western

parts of the UK which caused problems locally. The rain

continues to move eastwards, dying away over the southern half of the

UK but still had a burst into the early hours across northern England

and eastern Scotland. Try behind that but some sharp showers pushing

into parts of south-west England around the coast. Another mild

night, no problems with temperatures, no frost, up to 12

degrees, fairly typical. The rain is associated with this weather

front which will drag across eastern parts of England into the

day. A slow start here with cloud around and bits of overnight rain

across parts of East Anglia and the south-east. Much dry and bright to

the West, although there will be the showers earlier on around the

coast of south-west England, but western Wales up through the Irish

Sea and parts of Cumbria, maybe as far as northern Scotland, much

brighter on either side. Northern Ireland is shaping up well, most of

Scotland, too. Blustery showers for it time across the Highlands and

Ireland. It looks good for most of the country. Even across eastern

parts of England I am optimistic that the cloud will break up better

than it did today, so it should be a bright afternoon with the best of

the sunshine further west. A lovely afternoon coming for most of the

country and temperatures will respond, shooting up into the low

to mid- teens. It could be a touch cool if it does stay cloudy. For

Sunday if you have plans to attend a ceremony, it looks mostly dry,

the best of the sunshine across the western parts of the country.

Towards the east coast and Scotland, may be grey, a bit of dampness

around. For most of us in the sunshine it is another mile day. It
