Good evening. It really has been a stormy spell of weather. I hope you

have been able to retrieve your wheelie bin. As we approach the

weekend, we're getting back to normal, in some respects. The storm

conditions are pushing out into other parts of Europe. Over the

Alps, you cannot fail to notice a lot of the white stuff. There is

almost too much of it at the moment. No snow back home overnight, but it

will be turning quite chilly. The odd shower left behind on the

Western side of the country. But most of us will start tomorrow dry

and bright. Gradually clouding over from the West. Coming down into the

Midlands, East Anglia and the south-east of England, some cloud,

but it should stay fine. The wind will be much lighter than today. It

will turn more cloudy across the south-west of England, with the odd

spot of rain or drizzle. In Northern Ireland, it will turn

increasingly damp, particularly across western areas. And some

proper weather turning up for the Western Highlands and Islands,

whereas to the east of the mountains, it will stay largely dry.

The winds will increase further tomorrow night, quite blustery at

times. But by the time most of us are up on Saturday, it will again

be dry and bright with plenty of sunshine. Bright and breezy sums up

the weather across many parts of the country over the weekend.
