Hello there. Good evening. It looks like the worst storms have cleared

away to the north now but it was the heat and humidity that

triggered the torrential downpours, flash flooding with scenes like

this earlier in Burton-on-Trent. 28 mm in an Isle of Grain. Also really

big hailstones. With those sizes, you get damage like this. So we had

storms raging earlier today across the Midlands and then northern

England into the North Sea. A few heavy showers in Northern Ireland

and western Scotland but the worst of it is moving out over towards

the north of Scotland. We will see more showers developing in the West

as the breeze picks up, though. Instead of all that heat and

humidity we had across eastern areas, it is getting swept away and

will be replaced by something cool and fresher off the Atlantic once

again. Tomorrow will feel very different. You will notice a strong

wind, as well, and that will blow in quite a lot of cloud, a little

bit of sunshine at times but further showery outbreaks of rain,

too. In the afternoon, Northern Ireland brightening up a touch as

the wetter weather moves into south-west Scotland. Central and

northern Scotland, heavy, thundery showers through the day. Shop

showers across northern England but not on the same scale as today. For

Wales and the south-west, a cloudy day tomorrow with limited sunshine

and a few showers, the Midlands, Eastern England, cooler by eight or

nine degrees and this band of cloud will sit very close to Wimbledon

for most of the date and that brings a threat of a bit of rain.

It's a tricky forecast for Wimbledon tomorrow. A stronger wind

tomorrow. More showers to go on Saturday. Moving from west to east

across England and Wales. 21 degrees is not bad but cooler and

wetter in western Scotland and Northern Ireland. Here, we are
