Good evening. Sunshine was in short supply today, rain certainly wasn't.

The Lake District was the wettest place in the country, it could be

tomorrow. The showers and bands of rain have developed, pushing

eastwards. This wet weather is clearing eastern England. Heavy

showers to the Midlands. The noisy winds will keep showers along

southern and western coasts. Dryer in Northern Ireland as the rain

pushes into Scotland and the north of England once again. Not a cold

start to tomorrow. We should get more sunshine than today,

particularly in the afternoon as the showers become fewer. For the

rush-hour in the morning, for Wales a mixture of sunshine and showers,

some of them on the heavy side. The bulk of the showers feeding into

Lancashire and into Cumbria. The showers will push south across

Northern Ireland, more sunshine here. Many parts of Scotland

starting bright with sunshine. The rain will clear the East Coast, but

could linger in Shetland for most of the day. A will havely sunny

start to the Midlands and East Anglia. More southern counties of

England could start cloudy with a threat of heavier rain to Kent and

Sussex there will be showers to southern parts of England for a

time as well. The stronger winds in the south will push the cloud

through, more sunshine in the afternoon. Sunshine and scattered

showers for most of England and Wales. The more frequent showers,

some of them heavy, in north-west England, later north Wales, with a

scattering of showers for Scotland and Northern Ireland. Not

particularly warm. In the south- east cooler than today. Thursday,

the best day of the week. The wind will be lighter, there should be

more sunshine, showers mainly in the north will be light and well

scattered. The sunshine in the south will turn hazy later as cloud
