Hello. Technically this cold spell isn't as cold as it was last month.

What happens tomorrow will do its best to convince us otherwise.

Sheffield took a hit this morning. What is falling now and for the

rest of the night is more likely to be rain, sleet and heal to higher

ground. It is windy. Gales for some of us in the west. Colder than this

if it wasn't for the wind. Cold enough for icy patches in northern

areas as the night goes on. Tomorrow these two words don't

necessarily do justice to what is coming. It's a wind all the way

from the Arctic. We are in the blue tomorrow. It will feel much colder

than the temperature suggests. To compensate, by the afternoon, there

will be sunshine and great visibility. We are made to wait for

it in northern England. Here we start the day with cloud. There

will be showers of rain, sleet and heal and wintryness on hills. It

will be windy across western areas. The wind will ease during the day.

We start with plenty of cloud affecting parts of Wales and the

South West and the showers here. For Northern Ireland, the showers

here still with us first thing after they have been around over

night. That will give us problems with ice for the morning and parts

of northern England and Scotland icy patches. The snow showers are

at lower levels in the north and north-east, a few centimetres will

build up, more on hills. This area of cloud, rain, sleet and will push

it southwards, the sun will come out. Coastal showers continue to

the east. Showers of rain and heal for pem brebgshire and Cornwall. --

Pembrokeshire and Cornwall. Where that wind is strongest in the east

it will feel for some of us like it is below freezing. The wind during

the evening tomorrow will blow the snow showers further inland. It
