Good evening. To borrow a phrase reports of the demise of the

British summer have been greatly exaggerated. We have had some

decent day's are ready this June. Today was no exception. It is the

warmest day of this year so far and the warmest days since September

last year. It is hotter over the near Continent and that produced

big thunderstorms in northern France. They have been fading to

some extent, but we might see the dregs of those drifting across

southern England through the latter part of the night. Certainly a very

muggy night across the south after the humid day. Fresher as we go

further north. A bit of rain coming in from the opposite direction here

into northern Scotland and Northern Ireland. It is hard to find much

sunshine tomorrow on the chart. A little bit of brightness in

southern Scotland and northern England. The outbreaks of rain go

northwards as we go through the afternoon. In that brightness

across southern Scotland in the borders they could hit 21 or 22

even under the cloud. Still summon dribs and drabs of rain across

Northern Ireland into the afternoon. It could be a damp day as well

across the Isle of Man. We might see more persistent rain setting in

across the western parts of Wales. Temperatures are lower than they

were today. Across parts of the South East through the afternoon we

could find some drier, brighter weather just edging in. The

temperatures could have a late rise around 21 or 22. Warm in the East

on Friday and that might trigger off thundery showers. Then more
