A brighter day for England and Wales. We start to see the problems

developing further north in terms of the strongest winds. It's your turn

tomorrow. the strongest winds. It's your turn

North Wales, northern England, central and eastern parts of

Scotland, gusts up to 70mph. Even from early in the day we could see

winds hitting 80mph across Northern Ireland and possibly even touching

90mph across exposed parts of North West Scotland as the storm reaches

its height. Lots of showers feeding in. They'll be falling as snow once

again across higher ground of Scotland. Might get a bit of snow

coming down in the showers through the night as well. That's early on

Christmas Day. The key thing is look at the isobars opening out. The

winds become lighter. Things calming down. It's looking like a better day

for most of us. Boxing Day, better still, very light winds, lots of

sunshine, lots of dry weather as well. A bit of a chilly start, a

widespread frost, but a nice day for getting out and about. It's not

going to last. Look at this, another area of rain behind me. This is

going to cause it, yes another storm steaming in for the Atlantic for the

end of the week. Thursday night into Friday we could see equal intensity

from this storm, more widespread gales and heavy rain to round off
