Finally, towards the end of the week, there are signs that the

weather will become quieter. Strong winds into tomorrow. The rain comes

in the form of showers and it means that some areas will get significant

falls but others will be spared the worst. Tonight there will be heavy

showers across southern England and the risk of coastal flooding.

Showers for Northern Ireland, Scotland and Northern Ireland in the

small hours. Some of those will be around first thing on Tuesday. A wet

rush hour in the central lowlands of Scotland. Showers in Cumbria, all

the way into Northumberland. Clearer skies further south, across

Yorkshire and into England. Not a bad day in the South West and Wales

as well. Wet in the South East of England. The windiest part of the

day will be the morning and you may notice that these powers are

thinning out behind me come the afternoon. The showers will thin out

as well although we will still keep some in the South East and further

north, but generally, becoming lighter as the day goes on. The

showers turning into more persistent rain in the South East of England

and East Anglia overnight on Tuesday and into Wednesday. That could

trigger some flooding. You can see that by the end of the week, things

are looking clearer. That is the start of a clearer and quieter spell

for all of us. Not entirely rain free but nothing like we have had

recently. Wednesday will be a dry day for the majority with lighter

winds and fewer showers around. He's sunshine -- decent sunshine. It

should be lighter than the rain we have seen. For Thursday, we are

looking at a pressure chart and it is not focusing on low pressure but

on this ridge. A quiet day on Thursday. Pretty pleasant story. A

bit cooler than the last few days but the sunshine
