Hello. I think the impact of this wet weather could be felt more

widely as time goes on, even in areas which have been unscathed up

until now. For now, the focus is on southern England. We have amber

weather warnings right through until Saturday. We have another storm

heading in. They are queueing up in the Atlantic. The storms will take

place of this one which is giving a current spell of what weather this

evening and overnight. Wet and windy, particularly through the

English Channel. The rain falling snow across higher ground of

northern England and Wales. Further north, rather quite a picture across

Scotland and Northern Ireland. A touch of frost so icy patches are

more of a hazard through the early part of tomorrow morning. Chilly

across northern England but cloudy skies. Still the remnants of rain

left. A wet start to the day. Further west, the rain has gone it

has moved on for now but a much better day ahead. A chance to draw

rest. Skies brightened, the sunshine breaks through and most of the

showers stay away. Light winds across Scotland, particularly. Sunny

spells here. Highs of six degrees. In the South, 8-10d. Almost

springlike but not for long. This low pressure is heading in on

Friday. Some gales developing through the English Channel. The

rain will sweep through on Saturday with snow in the Scottish mountains.

The wind will pick up again. Lots of heavy showers coming in. A pretty

wet day for many of us on Saturday. Sunday, fewer showers, still rather

windy. All the signs are we will keep this and settled theme going
